How Do You Relate To Your Character OOC?
Apologizing in advance for the annoyingly long post to follow:

Character Name: Katrina Walker
House: Gryffindor
Relating Traits: We were both extroverted in elementary school. In middle school we both struggled with the same, ish, things. I think we share some common interests (reading, drawing (though Katrina's WAY better), music ext.) We both wanted to dye our hair, (Katrina ended up doing it, I didn't) Most of her reactions would be mine as well, though she has a 'cool' side that I 100% lack. Her actual words are the things that I wish I could say. Besides those things, she is a lot different than I.
What Inspired You: Here comes the long part
Extra Info: I am always open for new RPG's! I prefer 2nd year or higher. Though I would love to mentor some 1st years if they want it! If you want to see Katrina's development and get some ideas... here is a list of her primary character development threads:

So Katrina began as a character I had been formulating for years. I consistently did free-writing that included this same character. It even got to the point that it annoyed some of my friends that read my short stories. I continued formulating different reactions.
When I originally submitted Katrina to Hogwarts, I was with some OOC Hio players. Not including names for privacy. We ended up creating somewhat similar characters in the very beginning. I ended up doing some big changes so we could be different.
Katrina began in elementary as the extroverted friendly girl. She had a strong support group and a brother that helped her. When she started Hogwarts, I changed that original figure to be very different. She became more closed off and lonely. I wanted her to start there so she could significantly grow through year 4.
As I read more books, Katrina develops. I get some of her reactions and clumsiness from OOC books I read. I add different speaking styles (that vary from mine) mostly from TV movies or characters I love. A lot of her random quirk comes from me or my OOC friends, thanks guys! Also, a lot of her somewhat silly ideas are from them too. (Totally blaming you) I get most of her typical self from those aforementioned short stories.
As I learn more as a writer. (Man, I have come far), I continue to add more words to my vocabulary and reactions to my list. Influence from other characters strongly dictates her emotion during the thread (also length too!)
Needless to say, with all of these influences, I think Katrina gradually grows. If you compare a few of my earlier threads to the one's now a LOT has changed.

character name : kayden mae killian, or kayden mae
house : gryffindor
similar traits : we're both really energetic and easily distracted, and terrible at drawing even though we both love it. i based her mostly off my sister, though. they're both athletic and afraid of confrontation and sensitive and daydreamers and very talkative. i just took a little of my hobbies and gave them to kayden mae.
what inspired me : i love my sister a lot, and when i gave my character a similar name, i knew i wanted to further the similarities. it's been a lot of fun so far. she's also a little bit of the good things i wish i was and the bad things i am.
extra : kayden mae is one of my favorite characters of mine that i've created in awhile, and i'm really excited. i've missed roleplaying since the site i was on made it extremely difficult to find new groups. this will be a fun way to get back into it. also, i've taken just about every sorting test under the sun, including the pottermore (of course), and i've gotten slytherin a lot, hufflepuff a lot, and ravenclaw a couple times. i've never gotten gryffindor, which is what kayden mae is in, so that should be really interesting.

How Do You Relate To Your Character OOC?
Character Name: Kara Lilith Capricorn.
House: Slytherin!!
Similar Traits: Almost everything, but mostly our intelligence, cleverness, and outgoing spirit.
What Inspired Me: Kara is mostly a clone of me. She is also based off a character that I made beforehand in one of many books I've written as a hobby. (The name of the book I made is called Forces Taken and the character's name is Sandra)
Extra: I just really love the idea of having a character with many alter ego's like me. Although this isn't seen yet, Kara does have a mental disorder where when she is stressed, her alter ego's can come out. Also, both me and Kara are Slytherins.

Relating Traits: A lot of my choices do revolve around a similar moral compass as Reid's. I'm just as open as he is sometimes to new ideas, people, etc. Decisions I've made were most of the time in the best interest of others. I'm also more of a mediator than I am a fighter, I would rather talk things out than possibly make the situation worse. Certain perspectives are something we share, I know I'm not the best at everything, but I try to excel at a few things. But I think in a general sense, I just strive to do good by others and at Reid's core, that's what he sometimes aims to do.
What Inspired You: A lot of my inspiration comes from film, there were a few movies I watch and some scripts I read that translate a little into who Reid is. I remember seeing movies like Stand By Me, Boyhood, Lady Bird, and all of these other movies that touched on growing up. [font=PT Serif]I asked pretty typical questions; what are his short/long term goals? What are his deepest worries/fears? But it helped me shape him and I still am, he's far from finished and I'm always asking what he could possibly be worried about now. I took some thoughts from my younger years, I was insecure about parts of myself so I inflated parts of myself sometimes. Reid shares some part of me when I was his age, especially the reckless part.
Extra Info: Reid's name was just supposed to be Red, but I liked how Reid was spelled. Kovacs is pronounced 'ko-va-tch', the 's' is silent.[/font]

Relating Traits: We both are fairly quiet when we make friends, but open up a lot after we make friends. We both wear our hearts on our sleeves, and it often can lead to heartbreak.
What Inspired You: A lot of my inspiration was taken from Pinterest. I built the character up through the 'English man aesthetic'.
Extra Info: Percival is supposed to have an English accent because he is from England. Though I'm from America, and American English is slightly different than British English. I have not realized that fact until recently, and it has come to my attention that I have been rping Percival with an American accent. So I'm probably going to have to either change where he is from or change my rping style.

How Do You Relate To Your Character OOC?
Character Name || Rafael D'Spacito
House || Gryffindor
Relating Traits || Mental Blondeness, Argentine Background, Questionable Fashion Choices
What Inspired You || I've had Raf just shy of two years now, having fabricated him for the Marvel Universe, and since then, I've come to love the arrogant little bean as my own child. Really, he and I don't relate all that much emotionally, but he's super easy to rp, and an incredibly fun character to develop. To put it simply, I live vicariously though him. Hence, pretty much everything he does, is a result of my overactive imagination and lack of alternative outlet to filter it into.
Extra Info || I'd burned through three different character concepts before settling on Rafa for this site. Boy, am I glad I chose him. However, upon making my character, I'd spelled his last name wrong - the original spelling had been D'Esposito. Oops. The accidental surname is pronounced [Duh-SPA-sih-TOE].
