“I LOVE it.” She asserted. She always felt better when she could hear someone else sleeping soundly. It was just... one of those things she loved. Or had evolved to love, at least. Who knew why, or how.

“Really? Your mom the ravenclaw, right? I like her already.” She picked good names and raised at least one wonderful child, plus she taught Luna to read. Katie could definitely respect that. “My dad named Kaden, and mom named Kai. Then they started Family brainstorms after that. Kai came up with Kathryn, and that’s my name.” There were lists of K-A names all over the house, from various babies. Katie had made them too, when she was little. Then it became clear that she wouldn’t get to share them, because she was the youngest. Which was a real shame.

“I know. But it’s not the same as seeing them every day. I want to show them floating candles and everything. It’s gonna be so hard to not use magic next summer, oh gosh.” She laughed, quietly.

“Yeah. Scared me the first time I saw a picture move. Muggle pictures stay still.” She explained with a smile. “We don’t have enchantments that can make them moving.”

Luna didn't say anything when she heard that Katie loved it, but her sparkling eyes were telling that she was really happy. "Yes, my mother is a Ravenclaw..," She chuckled a bit when she heard Katie, "Your parents are good at naming." She couldn't believe that they could name so many people with K-A at the start.

"How about taking pictures of the things you want to show your family? Pictures here can move, and it looks really real" Luna suggested when she heard that Katie wanted to show them things here, "I agree, still, I don't think that you can forget how to use magic in the summer, right? And time passes quite fast, one day you will wake up and realize that it's time to go to Hogwarts again..." She wasn't sure if a few months could pass fast, but the little snake just wanted to comfort Katie.

"Muggle picture stay still? Then... does that mean that you can't talk with the people who are already dead?" Luna asked her, and she thought of the Choi Manor. She could still talk with her grandparents, great grandparents or more people in her family. Before she went to Hogwarts, every day she spent more than one hours to talk with them, or she brought her books there and asked them many questions as she wanted because they were really intelligent.

She laughed. “My mom would probably have been in ravenclaw too.” Of course, that was wishful thinking on katie’s Part. She barely knew what the houses represented, just wanted to imagine she was similar to her mother.

“Oh, That’s a GREAT idea, Luna!” She said, enthusiastic. It was possible she jumped up and down. It really was. Then when she went home for Christmas she could show her whole family the wizarding world. “Oh my gosh, I love it! But wait... I don’t have a camera.” And then her whole face fell, as their plan was thwarted. She sighed. “It was a good idea though.”

Her face fell further as her friend asked if she could talk to the dead and her mind immediately went to her grandmother, long gone. When Katie was really little, they had been close. She’d died as Katie was gearing up for her eighth birthday.

Katie didn’t celebrate that year.

“Nope. They’re gone forever.” She said, eventually. “I wish I’d taken wizard pictures of her.” This part was pretty mumbled and muffled, hard to make out. Katie was fine with it that was, and didn’t bother speaking up. She didn’t want to talk about granmum right now.

"She could be if she was a wizard. But you know, you can use your imagination too" Luna liked to imagine things, it was quite fun to her, "But of course, don't forget about reality."

Luna stopped a bit when Katie called her by her name. It had been years ago since the last time a person that wasn't her family called her like that. People around her usually called her "Choi".Then... it meant that Luna could call Katie by her name too? "Katie..." Luna said hesitantly because she felt a bit weird, not calling the others by their last name or nickname, "My little brother has a camera, do you want to borrow it? I can owl him to ask, and I'm sure that he will say yes."

Seeing that Katie was sad, Luna knew that she was wrong to ask that question. She tried to remember what her father told her to comfort the others. She never thought that she would need it, but seemed like the little Slytherin was wrong. "Don't be sad, I'm sure that she doesn't want to see you sad... And Katie, even if she is gone, I'm sure that she is still in your heart, right?"

katie nodded at the resurrances. "yeah. just... sucks. because i'm magic. if i'd taken one she could still talk to me, but i didnt know yet." she shaped herself up, though. deciding the first thing she would do when she got home was take magic pictures of her whole family to bring to hogwarts.

"of course not." she said, stoically. "reality is awesome. i live in a school where i'm learning magic, and that's reality." if anyone had told her last year this is where she would be she would've told them they were mental. and then she would've called her parents. but this was REAL. it was mental.

when luna said katie, the girl in question looked over with a smile. she could tell this was big for Luna, even though she had no idea why. she was happy to support Luna through that? "wait, really? like, you mean it?" she smiled. "Oh, i'd love that, thank you!" she smiled. "dont make him, though. tell Ollie that it's perfectly okay if he doesnt want to, i can try and find another one. but if he does i'll keep it real safe." she didnt want him to worry about his camera.

Luna sighed, poor her... She had never lost someone in her life so she didn't know how it felt, but seeing Katie's eyes, she could imagine how hurt the girl was. And if her parents or her brothers died... the little snake stopped imagine. She didn't want to cry in front of this much people, and they were still young, they couldn't be gone that easy...

"To be honest, I didn't know that there were people who couldn't use magic," Luna smiled, "I thought everyone could use magic, and I couldn't even imagine a day without that." Until she read a book about the Muggle, of course. The people that she knew before going to Hogwarts were all Pure-Blood. She rarely saw people that were Half-Blood, but all of them could use magic too.

"Of course I really mean it, I will ask him and if he agrees," Actually, Luna knew that her little brother would agree, it wasn't like him if he said no, "Maybe when you showed me something from the Muggles," Luna forgot what it called, but as normal, she won't tell the truth, just acted as she could still remember what it was,"I can give you the camera?"

“There’s heaps of us.” Katie said. “Whole schools, states, countries. Most of us.. them... don’t believe magic is even real. Just in books or whatever. They find their own ways to do things, stuff like the machines I was telling you about. They don’t have magic, so they make their own.” From what she could tell of hogwarts, it seemed like the magical community had stopped keeping up with technological advancements some time in the 1800s. But that was just Katie wagering a guess. It seemed to hold up from the amount this pureblood knew about such things as dishwashers.

“Sounds like a plan. I’ll show you the lightbulbs and you show me the camera?” She held out a hand again to shake. “That sounds like a fair trade.” She was nervous that her brother would feel obligated or pressured to give it up, which was something that the ravenclaw didn’t want to have happen. She couldn’t have that on her conscience. “We shake on it and it’s a deal. I don’t know how wizards do promises but this is how they usually go at home.” She smiled, to show she was being friendly and joking about their different pasts.

"They did not believe in magic? That is a bit... unexpected to be honest," Luna bit her lips and thought. She knew that there was a rule, not to use magic in front of any Muggle. However, since she didn't live in Muggle's world, she did not think much of it. Now things started to make sense.

"I wonder, just wonder. If there is a person who can use magic does it in front of a Muggle, will the Muggle try to explain their action with the machine and stuff like that?" Even when she was the one who asked that she could still imagine the answer. However, she wanted to be sure so she still asked Katie.

"Sure," Luna shook the Ravenclaw girl's hand. It actually sounded fair to her. "Oh, we normally just shake hands like this I think. However, if you don't want your partner to break the deal and if the deal is important... Unbreakable Vow is the perfect spell that you need. However, believe me, you won't want to use it unless it is really important. If.. If they break their promise, the wizard will die." She had never used that spell, however, she had heard a lot of it. Luna wasn't sure if Katie knew the spell before, but she still thought that she should tell her what the spell was about.

"they like to believe it's stuff in fairy tales, like the tooth fairy.not real, but fun to think about." then Katie stopped. "wait, did that make sense to you? do you know what the tooth fairy is?" it would be odd to explain something that the other actually knew, and Katie certainly didn't want to leave her guessing, so she asked, self conciously. "yeah, a few people claim they've seen magic, and, now that i think of it they probably have, but they're mostly written off as crazy so everybody just ignores them. but some people find it amusing to watch them try and fail to discover the existance of magic using machines."

"cool." she said, before the girl got into the unbreakable vow stuff. "woah... you mean, like... you make a promise, and then if you break it... you die?" the thought terrified Katie. she hated the idea, and she wanted to make sure she hadn't misunderstood it. "that's awful. what kind of person would risk their lives and the lives of someone else over a PROMISE?" she found herself prematurely taking her hand out of luna's grasp, purely because she was already uncomfortable with the thought of it, and the handshake wasn't helping.

"I... don't really remember, but it is fairies that are related to teeth, somehow, right? She used to read a lot of fairy tale, but she had forgotten most of them because she had to read a lot of other books. "Well, poor them I guess." No one believed in them must make them felt sad...

"Oh, do not be scared." Luna chuckled when she saw Katie's face, "I think the promise like "protect family, friends or... money" or stuff like that, you know, there are quite important?" Actually, she wasn't going to include money at first. However, she suddenly remembered about some people who really really loved money, even more than... life. She still included friends and family, because they were quite important to her and she was sure that a lot else. As for Luna, she was used to hearing a lot of more scary things, so she wasn't too scared to hear those. However, Katie wasn't. Maybe because she had a lot of sisters and brothers protected her... Luna guessed. "And do not worry, I don't want to use that spell on our small promise, because it's not important. Oh, don't misunderstand, I meant it wasn't as important as those I just talked about."
