She’d left the room in search of her sister, who had left only moments before. What she didn’t know was that Sapphire was right in front of the door.

Agh! Who even does this?? Koko grumbled, angry, but the anger was aimed towards herself for running into the snowy haired child. Koko's golden eyes were slightly downcast, full of a negative emotion, and she had her teeth gritted.

"God, Sapphire, why? You didn't even tell me where you were going!

Yes, our dear Koko was beginning to get the "older sister bug." She didn't even know if she was older than Sapphire, but at the moment she didn't even care. "Next time, just give me a bloody warning!" Koko usually wasn't upset, let alone upset at her sister, but... She just didn't like to be worried. Her emotion would then turn into a hurricane of hurt if she got too worried. She waved politely to the HuffPuff, and then she offered her name, "Koko. Koko Riddle."

She was quaint and polite, but by no means openly friendly. She usually wasn't so... so rude, but she wasn't really feeling well. The Rehearsal Room had been a bit stuffy. To the Hufflepuff, she added,

"So. You like the song Hall of Fame. I was singing it earlier, and I could hear your voice, if only a tiny bit.

"Koko. Koko Riddle."

Shay turned to look at the new girl who had walked out. Koko Riddle, Sapphire Riddle, could they be sisters? If they are, Shay guessed that Koko would be the older one in the relationship.

"So. You like the song Hall of Fame. I was singing it earlier, and I could hear your voice if only a tiny bit."

Shay's face began turning tomato color. Someone had heard her earlier when she'd sang, oh gosh. Shay hadn't realized that there was another person in the room beside Sapphire, she just guessed there was one person. By what Koko was saying, she seemed to be in a bad mood. Shay didn't know why, but, she had to keep things calm.

"It's very nice to meet both of you, Koko and Sapphire."Shay said, keeping her voice from showing suspicion."So, you heard me earlier? Sorry if I interrupted anything. I was going to see if I could find my way to the library, but, I heard you singing when I passed by, and my mouth moved on its own." Shay exclaimed. She still was secretly embarrassed that someone had heard her sing along. "So, Koko Riddle, Sapphire Riddle. Could it be that you're sisters?" Shay politely asked, out of curiosity. She made sure that her words were nice, but, it seemed someone didn't like that. Someone who had just entered the scene. But, she shouldn't assume. Was this new girl, Koko, mad at her or Saphhire?

"Next time, just give me a bloody warning!" Koko practically yelled at her.

"Technically, you're the same age as me..." the white haired girl muttered in annoyance. The caramel haired girl wasn't older than her. She tuned out most of the exchange, until something that Shay said caught her attention.

"It's very nice to meet both of you, Koko and Sapphire." said the Hufflepuff, sounding suspicious. "So, you heard me earlier? Sorry if I interrupted anything. I was going to see if I could find my way to the library, but, I heard you singing when I passed by, and my mouth moved on its own. So, Koko Riddle, Sapphire Riddle. Could it be that you're sisters?" It was that last sentence; her asking if the two girls were sisters.

"Yes, actually, we are sisters," Sapphire said curtly. She still wasn't sure whether to be suspicious of Shay or not. "Do you have any siblings?" she asked, generally curious, though she also wanted to find out more about the girl; find possible weak points and how to target them. It was habit, and she tried to shut off that part of her mind, but she didn't manage to do so.

"If you don't mind me asking, of course..."

"Yes, actually, we are sisters, do you have any siblings? If you don't mind me asking, of course..."

"Oh, no. I don't mind at all. Um, I have an older brother and a younger sister. My brother goes here, but my sisters too young to come, and doesn't have any magic. Me and my brother, Lincoln, were the only ones who inherited magic" Shay answered. So, Sapphire and Koko were sisters. That explains why she came out in such an angry mood. Sapphire must've walked out of the room to help her without telling Koko. She must be a very protective sister to be mad just because her sister left the room without reason. Like, if she'd walked out without notice, then that'd be reasonable.

Shay hadn't even noticed that she was still holding the stack of books Sapphire had helped pick up. Well, I guess it made sense. Koko had come out very mad at her sister, so, everyone got caught up in the moment. What if I quickly give these books to Lincoln, then head back to my luggage, and get my cello for Sapphire and Koko to sing along to. Or maybe a duet if any of them playing something like the piano or violin. It'd be a nice way to apologize for any earlier interruptions and disagreements. Shay was pretty sure they both like singing or perhaps playing an instrument. After all, they were singing earlier.

"Hey, would it be okay if I quickly drop these off at my brother's, then pick my cello up. I could play something and you guys could sing along. It should only take a few minutes, no more than 20. If, you want... of course."Say asked shyly. She didn't know if this was a good idea or a stupid one.

"That'd be fun," she said truthfully. It was also a chance for her to learn more about Hogwarts and the people there.

"I've thought of playing the cello before, but I've never actually tried," she added. That was a half lie. She'd never played the cello because of the oath she had to make to her sisters, which she'd never thought of breaking until today. She lied like that though because it came so naturally to her now, which wasn't a good thing, to most people.

"I really don't have much else to do anyway, and it seems fun," the white haired girl said. She also needed another friend.

"That'd be fun, I've thought of playing the cello before, but I've never actually tried, I really don't have much else to do anyway, and it seems fun."

Shay's face lit up. She nodded and headed off. Her feet seemed to fly across the floor as she hurried to her brother's room. When she reached the painting of a lady who seemed to be greek themed, her brother was waiting there for her. She handed him the books and quickly explained what they were about, with no spoilers, and waved goodbye. Then she raced back to the Hufflepuff house, to grab her cello. She took a different path so she didn't pass by the rehearsal room. When she made it to the Hufflepuff trapdoor, she crawled on through.

She walked on over to her luggage. She saw here cello case but got sucked into other things inside her suitcase. Sitting on the top of her belongings was a five by fifteen inched framed picture. Shay gently picked it up. The picture was her, her brother Lincoln, and her little sister Fleur sitting in their backyard, sleeping soundly asleep in the shade of a tree. Shay's face put on a smile just looking at home. Her cheeks red up, but her eyes filled with sadness. Shay hadn't been at Hogwarts for even a week and she was already getting home-sick. Then she remembered her cello.

Shay zipped her suitcase up and grabbed her cello cases handle. She crawled through the Hufflepuff trapdoor again and went on her way to the rehearsal room. Shay and Lincoln were lucky to inherit magic, but Fleur didn't. What will that do later on when she finds out she won't be able to be like them? She'll be trapped in the muggle world without knowing what it's like to have magic, but, that was a problem for future Shay to worry about. Right now, she should worry about what song Sapphire and Koko would want her to play. Luckily, she can play about anything.

She headed to the rehearsal room, no one was outside. But, that must've meant they went inside the room, SHay guessed. She was right. She opened the door and turned her cello as she went to make it through the doorway. Sapphire and Koko were waiting for her. Shay walked over to them and asked, "So, any songs in mind?"

"I know a variety of piano, but if you wanted me to unpack my violin, I could do a few oddball pop songs such as songs by Panic! At The Disco, Bastille, or maybe Mad Hatter. I'm best at those," said the golden-hued child, gesturing to her violin case which was resting against the wall.

She still didn't know what to think about this Shay character... It wasn't that she was jealous; she wanted to learn more just as much as her sister did, but she honestly didn't know if it was dangerous or not. She stalled, realising that she'd thought that a harmless Hufflepuff was dangerous. A laugh spilled out of her lips. It was harsh, not melodic, and it showed the harsher side of the Slytherin.

She said no more, and instead she took the time to analyse the situation. Of course, Shay could still be dangerous, Koko thought as she noted the scar on Shay's eye. If she got that in a fight... the other person could have come out worse...

The only thing that Shay could hit her wth was her cello, and it would be a pain to lift it. Koko couldn't move a piano, but if she decided to unpack her violin, bow, and rosin, she could whack someone with the durable case if required to. So that was what Koko did.

The instrument was mahogany, hand-crafted by her adoptive father. Victor rather liked her, and he would make her things every once in a while. He had crafted the family's piano, and about six months ago he had decided to make Koko a violin. The bow had been bought from a nearby music story, and needless to say, Koko wasn't very bad at it. She had an ear for music and could tell whenever a note wasn't in tune.

Forcing a nervous smile at Shay, Koko zipped up the case of her violin, gripped the handle tightly, and opened the door to the rehearsal room.

OOC: I apologise for the late and shabby response! I'll be getting slowly better. Right now, I'm trying to improve the quality of my writing, so it will take slightly longer, but the content will be better. My apologies.

What am I going to do with this suspicious child?Sapphire thought. By which she meant Koko. She could tell that the golden child was ready to attack if it came to that. The way she clenched her violin made that obvious.

I can play most things as long as I’ve heard it before or have sheet music for it,” she muttered, trying to defuse the tension. She couldn’t help but think of how, when Kyra and Amara had been in these kinds of moods, they’d always taken their anger out on her. The scar across her right shoulder tingled.

She kept still, tapping her flute (which had made its way back into her hands) against her knuckles. The hollow noise it made, resounding with each strike, distracted her. She was glad for that.

She froze without any visible reason, whirled around and set the flute down. One of her eyes had paled, and she was dimly aware that she wasn’t in control any more. She set the flute down and turned around, walking to the other end of the room. As soon as she reached the other side, she was released. She gasped and whirled around. Seconds later, the room seemed to rattle. She heard a noise like popcorn popping, and a plume of smoke rose up from her… flute case? “What the hell?” she muttered. And she couldn’t remember clearly how she’d gotten over to this side of the room. No idea how her flute got back in its case.

All she could say was, “Huh.

I mean, kinda crappy writing, but I was blanking. My main problem is the mistake I made with the potions homework.
