“An auror? So your dad is like a policeman, right?” Wes had heard that a few times as well, but no one really explained it well. Maybe it was a kind of secret, he thought, like a detective.
Then she asked if he regretted being what he was. This is something Wes had not really thought about, at least not recently. Did he? Maybe at some point. “I mean… maybe? It was hard sometimes, my friends were in school and my mom schooled me at home. I had to be careful and it made doing things harder. But… I really didn’t know what it was outside of what my grandma could tell me. There’s only so much she knows.”
The boy shrugged. “And once I can control it then I’ll probably have no regrets at all.”
Rose’s comments, well more jokes, about his sisters made him roll his eyes playfully at her. “Yeah yeah. Endearing nicknames and all.”
He then blinked, his eyes flickering for a second before turning back to hazel eyes. While Wes tried to hold it longer, it was more difficult that he had thought to keep her eye color. “I guess they were. It’s hard for me see my eyes, you know?” He chuckled a little and smiled. “I wouldn’t mind be able to do it for longer. Your eyes are nice. I mean… they have nice color. Might be why it’s harder, who knows?” The boy coughed out a small laugh, seeming a bit forced but not too awkward.

Rose chuckled when Wes compared his father to a policeman. He wasn't totally wrong although with few differences.
"Yes you can say that albeit it's a bit different."
"My dad is only tasked with fighting against dark wizards and magical crimes." she explained.
After a small moment of silent she curiously asked him.
"By the way I don't recall you told me, what does your mom do?"
It was a bit hard to Rose to believe they were having a discussion about their family in the middle of a classroom when a lesson was actually ongoing. But well it was a good opportunity to better know each other and Wes didn't really seem bothered about that fact.
Rose's eyes showed a bit of sadness when Wes told her he may be regretting being a Metamorphagus while being in the muggle world since it isolated him from his friends and the other kids along a normal child life. Maybe he thought he was different and suffered from it not able to fully be himself. Rose hoped not. Although she was wondering she didn't dare to ask as it might be sensitive or make Wes uncomfortable which she didn't want to do at all. At least he seemed to be more alleviated about it now.
When Wes commented the endearing nicknames his sisters were giving him Rose let out a small laugh as she was knowing well the kind of nicknames siblings were giving each other.
"My brother too gives me such endearing nicknames." she jokingly said recalling some of them.
Wes did indeed changed his eye colour to Roses' not without any difficulty he admitted. Maybe it was because they were from really different tints. He complimented her on having nice eye colour which made her smile. She turned to Wes looking him in the eye for him to better see her green eyes tinted with yellow around the pupil giving them a lighter green colour. Although it was a bit strange to see her eye colour on someone else -not that she didn't like it- as she was not used to it.
"Look well at it! Maybe next time you'll be able to keep the colour change longer." she said smiling but on a serious tone.

“Dark wizards. So what he does is dangerous? I bet you’re proud of him.” Wes said, his tone with admiration for it. “At least it’s good to know he’s keeping you safe.”
Around it seemed people were almost done, but not yet. Some were still having some difficulty and were being helped by others.
“Do you want to be an Aror?” He obviously meant Auror, but pronounced it wrong. “I wanted to do what my dad does, well not anymore.” Wes shrugged at that. Life was different now. Plus he did not even know if he ever really wanted to.
“For some reason I feel like you’d be a Professor here. Maybe transfiguration or potions.” He paused, realizing he might have said something that could make her mad. Assuming she’d be a professor because she was in Ravenclaw. “Well I mean… because you just seem like a… you’re smart and all!”
As for the comment on her brother giving her nicknames, he smirked. “Can’t be as good as Bookworm. I mean I can think of a few if you’d like. Rosie, but that seems to easy.”
When he thought about being a Metamorphagus, and being able to really just change his whole appearance, he liked it. “Maybe I’ll be able to do your hair next? Though it’s harder… for me at least. Maybe your smile.” The boy then laughed. “That’d be weird though.”

"Yes indeed. It is rather considered dangerous. But of course I'm really proud of him and admire him hoping to become a witch as strong as the wizard he is." Rose answered Wes with a smile.
Rose knew how dangerous his dad's work could be but it was also one of the reasons she was admiring him in addition to him being a great wizard. She was thinking of his dad as Wes asked if she too wanted to become an Auror. She chuckled at his small misspelling of Auror as Aror not out of mockery of course rather she found it cute like when children are learning new words.
"Actually I have no idea at all. I have never thought about it." she honestly answered.
"I know I will have to some day but I still have plenty of time don't I?" she added optimistically.
When Wes said he wanted to do like his dad but not anymore Rose smile faded a bit. She wondered if it were it because he was a wizard before asking him.
"Is it because you're a wizard, if I may ask?" she carefully asked but full of curiosity. She was finding a bit sad he would give up on something he wanted to if it's because he were a wizard.
Then Wes made a comment rather surprising to Rose.
"Me? A teacher?" she asked laughing.
"No way! Even less of Potions or Transfigurations. You would have said Astronomy why not but not the two others." she then added more on a serious tone. Although she was finding it funny.
Wes' reason for him to see Rose becoming was because he found her smart of course she got flattered by the compliment but that was not a sufficient reason to become a teacher.
"Thank you." she told before adding.
"But you know being a teacher is not just about cleverness. It's about passion otherwise it's hard. I guess." she thoughtfully added.
"So what would you like to do now if not a doctor anymore?" Rose finally asked Wes wondering.
When he told Rose her brother couldn't give her nicknames as good as Bookworm she chuckled although she wasn't sure it was right. Then he said he could find other nicknames if she would like before mentioning Rosie. At this suggestion Rose put on an almost disgusted smile. She did not like it all as she let out an awkward laugh.
"Don't worry, bookworm is fine." she said while agitating her hand in the air to brush it off.
About being a Metamorphagus, Wes said he could do Rose's hair next time but that would be harder then instead her smile which would be indeed weird.
"I think if you can do my hair that will be alright." she told him laughing.
"Smile is indeed weird." she laughed.

Wes nodded along with her as she spoke of her own father. He felt the same about his own. Protecting people and trying to make people better were both noble professions, and both are needed. As for how long they would have to figure out what they would like to do after school, Wes also agreed. He really did not know what he wanted, or what there even was to do. A dark wizard hunter, a healer, a professor maybe? As she said, he did not need to worry. They had time.
When Rose asked if he did not want to be a doctor anymore because he is a wizard, the boy shrugged. “Well no… I just don’t think I want to. I honestly think I would get bored with it. He sits behind a computer soooo much.” It was true, he just did not want to be a doctor. “I don’t know what I want to do. A Dark Wizard Hunter sounds cool. Like you said, we have a lot of time to figure that out, right?”
When commented about how she could never be a professor of Transfiguration or Potions, Wes laughed at the outburst and tone. “Okay, okay. I just know they’re both really difficult subjects and you probably would do a good job at it.” He then chuckled, “maybe you could be a seeker, I’ve been reading about them. Agile, not too big. Maybe you’d give your brother a run for his money in Quidditch.”
Rose’s forced smile was enough for Wes to know that she did not like the name Rosie. It was something he could keep for later, just to mess with her if the situation arose. “I like Rosie, it sounds nice.” He smiled back at her. Though while his smile was not forced, it was a mischievous smile.

Rose was relieved Wes' reason for not being a doctor anymore wasn't related to the fact he was a wizard. Yet he was finding boring to stay sit all day behind a computer which she could totally understand.
"So you need some actions job!" said Rose enthusiastically on a wondering tone.
"A dark wizard hunter, so an Auror?" Rose asked as for her it was the same unless Wes was thinking of it a bit differently or of something else.
But whatever the name used the goal remained the same and it was an admirable way of living. Certainly dangerous but Wes was a Gryffindor after all so that meant he was brave enough to have such a job. But as Rose said and Wes agreed with her they still had plenty of time to think about what they wanted to do with their lives.
Despite Rose not liking much Wes imagining her being a good Potions or Transfigurations teacher she did appreciate the fact he thought she would be good at it although being difficult subjects. Nevertheless she thought Wes was overestimated her.
"You're flattering me too much." she said jokingly.
"I think you are also overestimated me." she added more seriously and thinking.
At Wes suggestion of her being a seeker she couldn't help but laugh as it would never happen.
"You know I could never! I'm afraid of height." she admitted with a chuckle before pursuing "And my brother is already a Quidditch player!"
Rosie thought Rose as she saw Wes smirking.
Why would Wes like such a nickname yet it was cute it sounded too cheesy and more like another name than a nickname. But his purpose was still nice.
"Bookworm" said Rose as if to confirm to keep this nickname.

As for action jobs, Rose was right. That is something Wes would like to do. Though what it would be, he is not sure. The boy shrugged at her. “An Auror.” He said it slow this time, but he did pronounce it correctly, “or something else, I really don’t know what all we do for work? I was in that place on Diagon Alley, where they make jokes and pranks and things. But I guess the Muggle World has Magic shops that aren’t real, so a real magic prank shop make sense. I guess we have options.” He ended it with a laugh.
When she said he overestimated her, Wes shrugged and chuckled. Not laughing at her, but joking. “Yeah, probably. Better than underestimating you though, right?”
He paused for second, thinking about the flying classes they would have to take at some point and the her so-called fear of heights. “Are you going to be able to pass Flying then? I’m pretty sure height is going to be involved there.”
When Rose simply stated bookworm again as her preferred nickname, Wes let out a teasing sigh and chuckled. “Okay, okay, I can take a hint. Only Bookworm.”
The Gryffindor shrugged again, a smirk still on his face, “but fair warning, I’ll probably call you Rosie at some point. Accidentally of course.” It was obvious by his body language and friendly, but teasing smirk that he was lying. It would not be an accident.

Rose looked at Wes as he was wondering about the job of Auror which this time he pronounced correctly and contemplating the possibilities that could be offered to them. A question popped up into Rose's mind as Wes talked about the muggle magic shops.
"Maybe it's a bit silly to ask but would you want to work in the muggle world if you could? Obviously without the use of magic. But would you mind doing a job that doesn't require magic?"
At her comment of him overestimated her it was right he could have underestimated her so obviously it was better the other around but she didn't want to be a deception later according to whatever may happen.
"Of course I know. But I meant... don't have too high expectations from me." she simply said chuckling although that made her worrying.
Wes was a good and nice person she appreciated and with who she was becoming friend -if they were not already- but she didn't want him to be disappointed. It was stupid of her to think this way but Rose was often scared people might get disappointed at some points by her and would end up leaving her.
She snapped out of her thoughts as Wes arose a concern about the flying class and her fear of height.
"Well, I know it but I guess I won't have any choice. I will just close my eyes I suppose." she said jokingly.
"However since it's moving maybe that will be different and I won't feel anything and will even end up liking it." she added optimistically.
Maybe it was true though. She will find out soon or later as she won't have a choice than to do it.
As Rose stated only Bookworm as a nickname was enough Wes agreed but kept teasing her on the fact he might accidentally call her Rosie. Rose knew he was teasing her and him using this new nickname would probably -surely- not be an accident. Wes Rather to annoy her in friendly and kindly way of course.
"Well you can try." she peacefully said.
"After all who knows what might happened if people don't try." she added on an even more peaceful tone. Almost suspect as if she could be planning something.
Yet she just looked at Wes tilted her head and gently smiled.

The boy’s eyes lit up some when she asked what he would want to do in the Muggle World. It was a dream that most boys his age had in the United Kingdom, but it was almost as unrealistic as a Muggle-born kid being a wizard. “Footballer,” Wes said simply, “I’d like it a lot. I’m just decent though, some of the boys my age are class. But what would you like, in this world I mean?”
Too high of expectations? Wes tilted his head at her. While he did think she was smart, some of it was just talk that kids have. Though he did think she probably could do what he had mentioned, Wes smiled and shrugged before laughing. “Well if you become Minister of Magic, or Headmaster here, it’s okay. It won’t hurt my feelings too bad.” Wes laughed again, the kind sarcasm showing he was kidding with her evident. “But for real, it won’t matter to me what you end up doing. Won’t change what I think about you.”
As for flying, Wes did widen his eyes when Rose said she would just close them while flying. Even if it was a joke. “You should definitely do that! I’m sure it will work out great! Maybe your brother could try it when Gryffindor trash Ravenclaw.” Some more friendly banter in there, Wes did not even know the rules of Quidditch or what really goes on. Banter is banter though.
The banter faded as she told him that he could try and he narrowed his eyes at her. Despite her tone, Wes did think she had something behind it. Maybe he could tell when he looked into her eyes. He then laughed, especially at her head tilt. “You know, that look… makes me a little afraid of you. Like you’re scheming.” Despite saying he was afraid, Wes was smiling and laughing lightly.

At the word Footballer Rose smiled it was indeed every young boys' dream in the muggle world as far she knew. But Wes mentioning not being able to do it because he was just decent she frowned.
"What do you mean just decent?"
"You could become a footballer if you really want to. Doesn't matter you're a wizard or not. Of course either you will have to give it up or hide it really well but nothing prevent you from realising your dream!" she said almost scolding him not in bad way of course but more for realisation to hit him.
Rose saw Wes titled his head as he kept teasing her about her becoming Minister of Magic or Headmaster at Hogwarts and how it won't hurt his feelings and that won't change what he thinks of her. She slightly laughed.
"This kid..." she whispered in her laugh.
"Don't worry you'll be the first informed of what I will do in this world." she then added teasingly still laughing.
They were still in class though it seemed they had forgot it as they were quite being silly.
When Wes encouraged her on closing her eyes while being on a broom in the air she laughed.
"Better for me my brother doesn't know that! That would be a prejudice to him honestly."
At the mention of her brother trying this out when Gryffindor will beat Ravenclaw Rose's eyes showed determination and defiance.
"Never ever in any world when my brother is playing in the Quidditch team." she said looking at Wes right in the eyes.
Truly she did believe what she was saying. She had no idea whether her brother had already lost again Gryffindor but she knew how good it was at Quidditch so obviously she was on his side plus he was in Ravenclaw she could not not support him.
Rose saw Wes face after she told him he could try and she was fighting really hard to hide her smile and not to laugh. Actually she was meaning what she said although she didn't know well what she could do but as long as Wes seemed to believe her that is all what mattered.
She kept looking at him right into the eyes with her light green eyes as if she was piercing through him especially after Wes told her he was a bit of afraid of her like this. However she suddenly acted all innocent redressing her head and saying.
"Me?" she asked almost surprised as she pointed at herself.
"Maybe I am" she said with her mischievous look in her eyes.
However she started laughing a bit before teasing him.
"No don't worry I'm the nicest and sweetest person you could never ever meet." she said jokingly obviously she was not really meaning it as it might be not true and she had no idea about it but she was just goofing around.
