Jules had no problem listening to Lucille telling him about her siblings. Apparently, she had two, much older than her too – he wondered how life with a sibling that much older was. He and Agnes could always count on each other when they had difficulty, but at the end they still shared the same baggage of knowledge; an older sibling could have given better tips and advice on past experiences, while they could only try and see the outcome.
There was also the other side of the coin of not having a twin like Jules had: he was so used to have another side of himself that he couldn’t imagine being “alone”. Of course he didn’t consider Lucille to be alone – she must have had so many friends and family by her side – but the connection he felt with Agnes wasn’t like anything else.
“Oh, so they already graduated?” he asked snapping out from his thoughts and hearing how they were both ex-students. “I have some cousins who are in Hogwarts, and others that graduated.” he then explained, even though he added “Most of my family went to Beauxbatons, thought.” as his accent slipped a bit more when he mentioned the other school.
He was a bit sad about attending a different school, as their parents would have certainly helped more in making them fit better in the school environment if they went to Beauxbatons, but since their first instance of magic and subsequent moving brought them to Scotland, Hogwarts was their designated home.
“Hm?” he suddenly asked again, hearing the possibility of not being sorted in the same house of Agnes, and he promptly shook his head. “Ah, no, that’s impossible.” he confirmed, oddly confident in his voice, or maybe simply incapable of processing any other possibility.
“Twins don’t get separated, right?” he asked as a rhetorical question, even though it sounded more like a request of a confirmation. “But no, I’m sure we will be sorted in the same house. Agnes has a lot of Ravenclaw traits, even thought she looks like a Gryffindor stereotype!” he added again, stuttering a little in the last words, almost as if he gained consciousness of his more confident tone only after. He quickly moved his gaze away, looking again at Agnes’ direction to see if she was over with the measurements. “Oh, I think my sister is almost done.” he commented with a much softer tone.

Lucille perked up as a bit of a French accent slipped out when Jules spoke of Beauxbatons. "Oh, you're French? Interesting that you'd end up in Hogwarts." Lucille was curious, both about Beauxbatons and how he came to live in England when most of his family apparently didn't. Still, she figured he would volunteer that information if he wanted and, after all, what would he know about Beauxbatons? Aside from stories from his family, maybe. It wasn't like Lucille knew a whole lot about Hogwarts, despite having grown up in England.
Jules seemed confident that Agnes would be in the same house as him, and Lucille didn't deny it. Of course, he knew his sister far better than Lucille ever could, especially considering she hadn't really gotten the opportunity to speak to Agnes. But, from what he had said, Lucille felt a little bit skeptical about it. She guessed that Jules realized it too, as he spoke, since he stuttered when he said she was a stereotypical Gryffindor. Still, who was she to say anything? Instead, Lucille smiled, deciding to trust his judgment.
"Don't worry. If she does end up in Gryffindor, I'll be sure to look out for her," she joked, with mock confidence. Although Lucille was quite sure she would be a Gryffindor, the back of her mind still held thoughts of the possibility of being sorted somewhere else. Lucille never gave it much thought, though, deciding wherever she ended up would be for the best.
"Oh, she must be glad," she said, following Jules' gaze to Agnes, who seemed to be wrapping up her measurements. "I can't believe it took that long. Must be frustrating," she said in a low voice, almost under her breath. It was more talking to herself than anything.
"Still, I suppose on the bright side, it gave us a chance to talk," she said, looking back at Jules, her voice back to its bright, normal volume. "I'm not sure how you felt, but it was nice getting to know you. I enjoyed this." She gestured vaguely, nothing but the context giving any indication that she meant their conversation.

Jules probably didn’t even notice how his French accent did slip in, and looked for a brief second slightly confused by Lucille’s question. “Ah, yes. It’s nothing too interesting, though…” he tried to cut it short, not because he had something to hide or anything, but because he genuinely thought she wouldn’t be that interested to hear all about his family and past.
Maybe in the future, if they happened to see each other again, he would have no problem telling her all kinds of stories about the school his parents attended, but for now it simply felt out of place. He briefly shook his head and closed the topic for the moment, shifting his attention to Agnes’ future house.
Lucille said she was more than happy to help her in that remote case, but the more Jules thought about that possibility, the more he kept shaking his head and reminded himself that the Sorting Hat wouldn’t separate the twins in different houses. Yes, he was certain about that. No matter what that little voice buried inside of him kept telling him that it could have always happened, and that he had to brace himself. “Oh, well, thanks… even though I’m sure we’ll end up in the same house.” he finally replied, trying to not think about it too much.
It was finally time to go back to the room where Agnes was almost done with her measurements, and even though Jules couldn’t wait much longer to be with his sister again, he showed a small smile towards the girl that kept him good company in the wait. “Yeah, I bet she will complain a lot more than me later.” He commented with a giggle, and had to admit that talking to Lucille made the wait look much shorter than it was.
“Ah, me too. Sorry if I was staring, again.” he replied with a nod, even if she had confirmed that she didn’t mind the staring. But it was right to remind both of them that he didn’t mean any rudeness with it, as he could almost feel that it wouldn’t have been the only time he was meeting Lucille.
“Then, see you at school?” he finally asked, and after hearing her response he was ready to say goodbye once more before returning as fast as possible where Agnes was, back with his sister who surely would have handled any other conversations for the day.

Lucille giggled when he apologized about the staring again. Apparently, people had commented on it a few too many times and he felt inclined to bring it up. She shook her head, indicating she didn't mind.
Despite what Jules said, Lucille was still a bit sure Agnes might be in a different house, just from the description Jules had given. It seemed the twins acted complementary to each other, with one making up for the skills the other one lacked. She couldn't imagine how two people that acted as two halves of a whole could be similar enough to get into the same house. To her, it sounded like an opposites attract situation. Either way, she figured it wasn't her business, and so she stayed silent when Jules spoke of it.
She glanced back at Agnes, following where Jules was looking, and saw that the girl seemed almost done. Jules seemed to think the same, because he was saying goodbye. When he said that he'd see her at school, Lucille felt that it was more honest than just a traditional farewell. She had the feeling she'd end up bumping into him one way or another, and she hoped she would. It would be nice to see a familiar face at Hogwarts, although Lucille was certain she'd have no trouble walking up to people and greeting them, the way she had just done in this shop.
"Yes, I'll see you," she said, raising her hand to give a little wave as Jules turned and headed towards Agnes. She wasn't sure if he had seen her, but it didn't matter. Lucille paused for a second, scanning the shop to see where her mother might be. Her mother seemed to be doing the same thing, holding a nice robe for herself and looking ready to head to the counter for payment. Quickly, Lucille hurried up to her mother, waving to catch her attention. Her mother noticed her and smiled, and the pair quickly headed to the counter to pay, and swiftly exited the shop.
