Despite a continued effort towards a larger variety of spells, only the Knockback Jinx would find purchase among the duellists. Cassian attempted starting a blaze with Incendio Duo, the flame sparked with little control over the direction it went. Archer, the intended target, would have little trouble keeping a safe distance and letting the flame rush past. Elisa would be the other as she cast Obscuro towards Cassian, casting back to its sharp, precise form. The tears and laughter left her vision blurred and arm shaky, unable to find the Ravenclaw as the spell crashed into the back wall instead.

Edward, Dennis, and Archer opted for the tried-and-true spell of Flipendo. Edward and Dennis focused their strikes against Elisa as she was painfully distracted from the previous round and her own attempts this time. While she very nearly escaped Edward's spell, his cast proved too fast as it hit her across the arm. The first injury slowed her down, little energy left as Dennis's Flipendo now spiraled towards her. It would hit her square in the chest and topple the Slytherin to the ground as she went unconscious. Before Lea could call anything, Archer would get his revenge as his Knockback Jinx rocketed towards Dennis with surprising speed. All his focus on his own spell, he wouldn't have a chance to dodge as he too fell to the ground as his vision faded to black. "STOP!" They were falling so fast, Lea quickly jumping in again as the two duellists were taken off the piste and headed to the infirmary. It would give the others a bit of rest as they remained so far unharmed, the Hufflepuff fiddling with her own wand as she waited. "Well then! Are the rest of you ready to continue?" Once she received confirmation she stepped back before calling once more, "Resume!"

Once more, Archer would find himself alone on the piste.

Elisa would fall as Archer saw two unforgiving flipendos land squarely on her chest, all the karma from her previous success returned in a flash as the duo powers of Tumberton and Foxe overpowered her, sending him off her feet and skidding backwards. Eventually, just as Prat, her body would remain motionless as she was carried away to the infirmary, which a dreadful part of Archer's psyche whispered vexatiously that he too would soon end up in. She had put up well, with her good hit and resilience against the doubled humiliation and pain of the tickling charm.

Yet another player would leave them, however, and despite this second knock out in the round, Archer was not the least bit surprised, only proud of himself. A target that had now maintained for three rounds, Archer, as well as his other teammates, had swiftly set their eyes on him due to what seemed like a frail frame and a boy who grew easily out of breath. Soon as one spell hit Duncan in particular had begun targeting him especially, and finally, his resilience pulled off as the third flipendo against him finally landed, swiftly knocking him back and out, the Ravenclaw joining his fellow Viper for the route to the hospital wing.

The combination of a positive and negative turn left Archer caught in surprise as a fire ball whizzed its way towards him. All that struck Archer was panic at the sudden, perhaps even unknowing abuse of his Achilles' heel. For that breathless, terrifying moment he could not think as his mind only tunnelvisioned on the red and orange sphere of terror as it neared him, all his training against it failing in that one petrifying moment in the path of the incendio duo. Eventually though, instinct would win over the fight and at the very last moment he would throw himself out of the way, the spell missing far wider than he would have thought. That, by no means, should have been taken as anything even vaguely similar to complaint though.

Even after the hard farewells of Wagner and Pass, his opponents must have been fools to think he could be taken down as easily.

Cassian slowly exhaled, a sigh of relief as the second Slytherin went down. His own whirlwind of fire had missed, unfortunately, but both of his teammates were successful in their Knock-Back jinxes. That was a good spell, after all. As the smaller, older Ravenclaw turned to congratulate his teammates, he saw Dennis, also knocked-out on the piste. A timeout was called as both of the downed students were removed from the piste. Cassian knew how badly it hurt to be knocked out of a duel, not just physically but also emotionally and physically. But he also knew that Dennis would be fine and come back fighting in the next duel even stronger. Cassian and Ed just had to make it worth it.

With only half of the duellists remaining, the war of attrition continued. It would be easy for the Ravenclaws to choose a target as only one stood before them. Archer would have to choose, opting to replicate the Flipendo headed towards him and send it back in the caster's direction, Edward. A near perfect cast from the older Ravenclaw barreled towards the snake, unfortunately stumbling as he focused on his casting rather than keeping his feet beneath him. The full brunt of the Knockback Jinx hit, but he stood strong as he released the Flipendo back at Edward with as much force as one could muster immediately after being punched. The side steps and dance would not be enough for Edward to escape a strong punch of his own.

Thankfully for him, Cassian would take up the initiative as his wand appeared to almost guide his hand in the pattern of Incendio Duo. It would rush to life, quickly grasping for air before he shot it across the piste at the now battered Archer. He could barely move before the flames hit and spread, eating away at the remaining strength the Slytherin held. He looked to be handling it better than Edward, but it would be a painful round for them both as the duel continued.

This time, the incendio duo hit squarely, almost perfectly cast and taking him by surprise before he could have even registered the fireball shooting towards him. Patting at his shirt though to no avail his instincts were not there to evade Edward's flipendo. Shaking his head in an attempt to refocus, he sent the exact same spell back, with more primal urge than rational, flicking his wrist at the familiar jinx. Pushing hair out of his face a small seed of satisfaction planted in his heart seeing Edward suffer the same fate.

The River Monster wand in Cassian’s hand was still warm and slightly smoking from the previous fire spell when Cassian cast another. This time he didn’t miss, feeling the heat of the flames as they erupted from the family heirloom wand, engulfing the Slytherin boy. Cassian was pleased to note that Ed’s Knock-Back Jinx was successful as well; he was certainly getting good at that spell. Their opponent wasn’t looking too good, but perhaps he was tougher than he looked. He still might have a fight still left in him, so Cassian prepared himself for the next round.

Effect: The opponent is blindfolded, making them unable to see. Evasion and Accuracy stats are equal to 0 as long as the target is blindfolded.

Ravenclaw decided that their plan wasn't broken and thus didn't need fixing as they prepared the same spells as last time. Archer didn't have that similar luxury and with the new fire burning up his sleeve, decided a new course of action was needed if he wished to stay up for much longer. But would it be enough to turn the tide, Lea was skeptic but intrigued to find out.

Cassian started with his fire, preparing another burst with greater precision as he ironed out the small mistakes of his previous cast. The flame roared to life, intent on finding its target across the piste as it rushed forth. Yet while the Ravenclaw aimed true, the Slytherin was faster as he escaped its grasp and felt the rush of hot air past his ear. His escape unfortunately led him straight into the next spell, stumbling straight into Edward's well directed Flipendo. A shaky cast, it would still hit the same as Archer stumbled slightly before his own cast. His hand shook as he swished his wand, but the spell flickered to life and rocketed across the piste towards his new target, Cassian. The Ravenclaw had clearly not seen this coming as he stumbled back into the Obscuro, the band of fabric appearing before neatly wrapping around his eyes. It would take some time before he could take off the blindfold, a hopeful respite for Archer as the clock continued forward...

Soon Edward would not be the only opponent for a determined Archer to target. Turning his eyes to Cassian he decided on a less conventional approach from their previous waves of flipendos and seconds later as the blindfold was conjured around the elder students head soon one pair of eyes would be lost between the three. And although once more he would fall victim to another knockback charm, Cassian, seemingly disoriented as the viper sent the black cloth his way, would miss his nimble body ever so slightly, with Archer hopping out of the way just in time to evade another fire making spell.
