The Gryffindor Table 2018-2019
Corona couldn't help but feel a bit anxious as she was called up to be sorted. She faced the entire student body as she sat down on the chair and wondered what people would think of her. The feeling started to rise, but once the hat was placed on her head, she felt all of the feelings disappear. She knew which house she would get sorted into... after all, her whole family had been a part of it, so why should she be the exception? Sitting there, she waited until the hat made it's decision and announced to the hall "Gryffindor!".
Corona sat still for a while, completely stunned before she got up and hurried off, trying not to embarrass herself more. As she walked towards the Gryffindor table, thoughts swirled around in her head. "What will my parents think?" "Should I tell them I was sorted into Ravenclaw anyway?" At first her thoughts only brought worry, but soon the corners of her mouth curled upwards into a slight smile. This was the perfect form of revenge... the same parents who forced her to learn well before her time and tried to make her a Ravenclaw had not gotten what they wanted.
Corona picked up her pace and scouted for an empty seat, walking to it once it caught her eye. She lifted her head and looked around at the kind of people she would be staying with. They seemed very friendly, some were even waving at her, welcoming her to the house. At the sight of everything, Corona's smile grew and she felt a genuine happiness. It seemed she would be able to make friends here... her first friends.
Lowering herself into the chair, Corona surveyed the wide variety of food on the table, realizing just then how hungry she was. Her mouth started to water and she filled her plate with anything that looked good, excited to try them. She didn't really care much for manners as they had no point to her. She had always questioned why there was a certain way to eat when food is something you need to survive.

The Gryffindor Table 2018-2019
He was very excited when he came to the Gryffindor table. Everyone stared at him and most of them were happy and clapped. He sat down next to a student a little older than he was. He greeted Alan and was very nice to him. He asked Alan if he was glad he had come to Griffyndor. He said to him, "Well, actually I wanted to go to Slytherin ''. He said to Alan that you can not choose which house to come in and the hat would decide. Alan said, "I know, but I would have liked to come to Slytherin.'' The boy said the hat is always right when dividing someone into a house. The more Alan thought about it, the happier he became that he came to Gryffindor. Alan asked the boy how tall Hogwarts was and the boy said to him, "Hogwarts is very tall and in all your years at Hogwarts you would not even know all the rooms and hallways of Hogwarts." Alan noticed that there were so many ghosts in the Great Hall and he asked the boy why there were so many ghosts here. He explained that every house has a ghost and that most ghosts are nice. He should only take care of the ghost Peeves. Peeves favorite activity was to annoy the janitor and annoy the students. Then the plates were filled with food in front of the students and Alan tasted the food very well.

The Gryffindor Table 2018-2019
Kateryna couldn't possibly describe the relief, that flooded through her body, when the Sorting Had finally had opened its mouth and shouted out 'Gryffindor!' for all to hear. The fear of being placed in Slytherin had been more intense, than she had realized before. Any of the other three Houses would do, just not Slytherin. And luckily, Gryffindor it was! One could argue, that Kateryna was already a classic Gryffindor, given her disgust with the snakes. When she had walked down the middle with the other first years, she could swear, she had heard one of them mumble rude comments in the direction of the youngsters.
The young witch, the newly appointed Gryffindor Student, made her way to the table, flashing a bright smile towards her new House mates, and quickly eyed an empty seat in the middle.
"I'm so relieved!" She exclaimed, letting out some of the emotion, as she plopped down on the bench, next to a few other students, who were just sorted as well.
Now, that the Sorting Ceremony was finally over - in Kateryna's case - she could focus on more pressing matters: the hunger in her belly, and the fatigue in her head. It had been a long, long day, and without giving much thought about it, she started to pour a variety of delicious meals onto her plate.

It took Hugh a bit longer than others to approach the long red table filled with strangers. His longs legs seemed to drag themselves over there, despite his fear of rejection. Searching eyes rolled to the nearest open spot on one of the benches and with a nervous smile towards his fellow gryffindors, he sat himself down. Not knowing what to say at first, he'd take the safe route and focused on the food.
Right... food... yes, I'm hungry. Cake? The boy thought to himself. Cake did produce a small curve on the side of his lips. He looked up and smiled friendly at one of the students sitting across. With gentle hands he picked up his knife and carefully dissected a piece from the cake before skillfully dropping it on his plate. "Piece of cake" He caught himself saying out loud.
He proceeded by chopping a small bit off with his fork and silently enjoyed the food as his eyes wandered across the table. Eventually he took the jump after he had finished his first bite.
"Awrite, mah name is Hugh. Braw to meet ye!"
He quickly stuffed a bit of cake in his mouth to at least appear busy and not bothered by the fact he knows so little about this place and its people. The food had begun to help. A filled stumach seemed to ease him a bit and even allowed him to remain calm. Although he did manage to drop his fork four times already...

The Gryffindor Table 2018-2019
Richard nervously sat down on chair as his name was announced, Sorting Hat was quiet for a moment and asked Richard some questions, Sorting Hat was quite certain that Richard is best suited for Slytherin and Gryffindor, Sorting Hat checked Richard's desire and dreams to be in Gryffindor. Richard was as well keeps whispering "please call Gryffindor", after a short moment Sorting Hat called out loud Richard's House name "Gryffindor" and Richard bursts with pleasure and excitement which can be seen by his big smile. He rushes to Gryffindor Table and was welcomed by his fellow house members.
Slides into a seat beside another first year student who was sitting on the left sidewho greeted with big smile and shook Richrard's hands and introduced himself, Richard also saw a first year girl at his right side looking at him with a smile as Richard smiles back and introduced himself, She Introduced herself and was also pleased to be in Gryffindor she even told it was her desire to be in Gryffindor as well.
After the sorting ceremony Richard ate and chatted with his new friends, as he glanced at the Slytherin table 2 students were gulping down the food as they were starving for months, and the girl sitting right in front of him was too picky she was rejecting almost everything and the boy next to him teased her that you can have only these things this whole year what will you eat if you reject these foods. and Richard again got lost in thoughts and excitement about the dream come true and being a greatest wizard of all time and of becoming an auror

The Gryffindor Table 2018-2019
Amelia was shocked by the hat's decision, no one in her family had ever been placed outside of Slytherin. Amelia and her father weren't close and the idea of disappointing him terrified her. She knew that it was only the beginning of the year but she was already coming up with excuses to stay here for Christmas- she couldn't bear having t go home and face her father and step-mother. Even though Amelia usually spent her days locked in her room away from the rest of her family, she knew that they'd somehow find a way to make her life miserable.
Amelia slowly walked towards the Gryffindor table, lost in her own thoughts. She scanned the table to see groups of friends smiling and laughing together. The other first years stuck out like sore thumbs. They seemed awkward and more closed off than the others at the table. Obviously, this didn't apply to all the first years but it did to a lot. Amelia took an empty seat at the end of the table and rested her head in her hands. Amelia had no idea what to do, her father was likely to find out about the sorting soon, so either she will be facing a very, very angry letter from her father or worse- a howler.

The Gryffindor Table 2018-2019
Marilyn's face lit up with joy, her bright eyes glowing in excitement. Now, she never thought she'd become a member of Gryffindor, considering the girl's naivety and love for peace. On the other hand, who knew what kind of spirit was hiding in the little blonde, waiting for the opportunity to show its true colors? Marilyn made her way towards her new House's table, being welcomed by a group of cheerful students. There was nothing that could've smeared that shiny smile off her face, not at that precise moment, anyway. "Hello," The girl spoke up as soon as she's reached the table, taking a seat next to the boy who's just came in before her.
"I'm Marilyn, it's really nice to meet you all!" Marilyn whispered in a sweet manner as the next few children were being sorted into their Houses. Soon enough, the sorting was over and the students were being lead into their common rooms. Marilyn couldn't wait to meet new people, hoping to make friends right away. She didn't wish to spend seven years alone in her room, feeling lonely. She could feel her stomach twisting, partly from being nervous from earlier, partly due to missing her family. Marilyn was homesick already, but she wasn't going to let that ruin her experience in Hogwarts.

The Gryffindor Table 2018-2019
Alex was... It was hard to describe his emotions
His first thought, Sweet, I'm a wizard Second thought Why was I put in Gryffindor? and his last thought Why did the hat laugh when I started thinking, 'Not Slytherin?' Alex was pondering these questions for a while, he grabbed a steak and started tearing into it, suddenly ravenous. He heard some chuckles, a few groans, and even a cheer, before he finished the 2 pound steak. He wondered how his parents were doing, he never got a chance to say goodbye. Xander had taken him around the city, before they found Diagon Alley, and when they made it to platform 9 3/4, he just said, "Sorry, i'm not magical like you, but don't worry, i'll tell your parents the good news, before he disappeared from sight, and Alex ran into a pillar.
Alex realized that he was lonely, and maybe even homesick, so he decided to start making friends, swallowing the last bite, he turned to the person sitting next to him, who introduced herself as Pandora, "Hey there, my name is Alex, it's really nice to meet you!" Alex wasn't exactly a real charmer, but he did have a friendly aura about him that usually made him pretty likable. he extending his hand for a handshake, looking her dead in the eye, eyes that made him shiver, like she was reading his mind and didn't like what she saw. "My parents aren't exactly wizards, or magical, i think the term for them is muggles?" He said, he wondered why he said that, it wasn't exactly a real great ice-breaker, maybe it was in this community, though it doubted it. it was like he had to explain himself to her. It wasn't a great feeling.

The Gryffindor Table 2018-2019
Jay Victoria had been eating a small slice of pecan pie when a boy sat right next to them. “Pfft a muggle born wizard...,” Jay muttered as they heard the boy next to them introduce themselves. Jay had always grown up to show dislike towards anyone with muggle blood. They had always been proud of their family since it’s all made up of purebloods. Jay had a small deep thought that their actual parents might be muggles, or that just one of them is a muggle. But... Her guardian had always told them that they had the potential of a pureblooded wiz.
Jay turned their attention back to the boy who said his name is Alex,”So... Alex. How’s it like to be born in a muggle family? Must be quite a shame,” Jay said mockingly. In the name of Salazar... I sound like Lady Angelique... They thought. After all they had sort of gotten the habit of talking like her, especially the muggle-shaming part. Jay had always liked the way she would talk to muggle borns. She had used another word many times... What was it? It had something to do with the word mud, yes, something like that, but their guardian had always told them that they were forbidden to use the word.

"So... Alex. How's it like to be born in a muggle family? Must be quite a shame,"
Alex knew that she was trying to get a rise out of him, he knew that many people would do that sometimes, it was hard to ignore, and he was taught not to, so his natural wit kicked in, and he turned to her a smile on his face that never reached his eyes, it was fine to joke around, but bringing in families was a pretty low blow, "Well, it usually means that were smarter than other pure-bloods and half-bloods in some classes, and we have a higher motivation to be the best we can, after all, some of the best wizards of all time were muggle-born. For example, Hermione Granger, Albus Dumbledoor, and so on." Also, Harry Potter lived with muggles most of his life, despite them being terrible people. and would most likely be placed in custody for child neglect."
Alex wasn't done yet, "So, the only shame here, is having to deal with stuck-up purebreds like yourself, and if you're wondering how i know, it's because only a pure-bred, or one extremely terrible person, would even dare to mock someone from their own house, and honestly, what did you think was going to happen? I was just going to lie down like a dog? Tell me, what did you think would happen?"
Alex stared at her, glared really, as he sat there smiling, What the heck was i thinking, Jesus, my mouth is getting me into trouble and it's only first day here
