A First Meeting

Graci was late and she knew it. A first meeting and she was not even on time. The audacity.
...At least it was only making badges? Graci sighed and hurried almond, trying not to trip or run into anyone which had become a disturbingly regular habit of hers.
Just make it there at least ten to fifteen minutes before it is over Graci, you can do it. Graci arrived. Not too terribly late, but enough that a lot of people were already sitting and chatting. Making their buttons and having fun.
She bustled in, swiping the hair out of her face, "Sorry I'm a bit late, I'm probably not the only one, but again, sorry." Graci turned to a girl she noticed as the leader of this 'S.P.E.W.' and smiled, "Gracilia Laren, but anyone and everyone can call me Graci or Cici, or any other conceivable nickname, Lia even." She said the last part to everyone and wondered if she was being a bit much.
Welp, might as well sit down somewhere. So she did, sat in-between two people who weren't talking, so as not to be rude, and picked up a badge. She figured if she needed one then they'd either provide them or she could get one later.
Provide one they did. There were multiple shades of blue paint, and most of the others were painting with blue. She picked up a brush and coated her badge with a thin but visible layer of navy blue paint, blew on it to dry the paint, and picked up a light royal blue.
Her near-perfect cursive 'S.P.E.W.' was drying when she realized she hadn't even talked to anyone.
Oops- well, a bit late now, but if someone approaches me maybe?

A First Meeting
Luce saw a new person having arrived late, so she smiled at her. She listened to her monologue about her name and waved at her at last. "Hi there, Graci. Nice to meet ya!"
As her badge was drying, Luce put it down for a bit to let it just lie on the table till the paint on the elf's pink clothes dries completely and so there, she'd be able to paint on it. Lucy leaned her back against the backrest of the chair, and looked over those around her.
Her eyes soon narrowed and her look became distant, for she started to think about something.
"Hey, does anyone here know what's the colour of the house elves' complexion?" Asked the girl rather quietly, so that only those surrounding her would hear her. "I mean, I've never seen a House Elf. Have you? Is it like... human pale or brown-ish, or is it something else?" Thought the girl aloud.
Should have looked it up in the library, the basic facts at least. But then again, who is supposed to have time to stay inside all the time when it is so sunny and amazing outside this autumn?!
"Which leads me to wonder if there are races among the House Elves? Like... do African or Asian House Elves look different than European?" In thought, Luce swang back on her chair, holding on to the edge of the table with one hand, probably not to fall back.

OOC NOTE: Thinking Speaking[/color]
She stormed into the room. “I’m sorry, Elisa, I’m late, but I was REALLY interested in S.P.E.W.!”
Ruby was slightly appalled that she decided to attend the S.P.E.W. meeting instead of study the Mumblemumps for Nurse Baird, but she decided to overlook that. She will do that a few days later.
She looked interestedly at the others. They were making badges, she decided to take an unpainted one and a paintbrush.
She got a can of light purple paint and slowly started to paint while glancing at the others. Ruby blushed, it was a bit awkward. VERY awkward in fact.
Meanwhile, when she finished painting she decided to think about a lot of things. Her homework for Octavius Baird. She felt guilty pleasure, knowing that she would contribute to the house-elves’ lives, but she knew that wizards and witches also suffered from illnesses.
Ruby clenched her fists. “I have to do it! I have to!” she thought in her head.
Then she decided to murmur about her learning. “I already know the Wand-Lighting Charm, Lumos… And I have heard about the Water-Making charm… The Bat-Bogey Hex’s incantation, I know. It’s just so exciting, you know? Mmm…”
Right, the writing of S.P.E.W.
She then started to write. She smiled! It was perfect cursive.
She then looked at the girl she was sitting next to. That’s Lucy Channing!
“Hi, I’m Ruby Diumme.”

A First Meeting
Lucy heard the girl next to her talking, probably to herself, about the spells she had learned so far. The water-making char, or something else from Ruby's list, likely took her attention, for she narrowed her eyes. "Hi... pretty impressive, the charms you've learned so far. Which subject did ya learn them in?"
She let Ruby answer her question, before she rised her hand with her painting brush and cleaned it by eagerly stirring the still, likely tap water in a glass close to her.
"Well, I've only learned Reparo, Tarantallegra, Aberto... uh, I can't remember... oh yeah! Flipendo! That one's probably the handiest." Thought the girl aloud.
Then, she looked up at Ruby again, smiling. "Hi, I'm Lucy. You can call me Luce... or Lucy. I don't really care. Just nothing childish, like Lulu, or Cee, please. Been there, hated it."
Lucy grinned bitterly, shaking her head, as if she wished to get rid of the bad memory. She took her brush again, pausing for a while, as she was colouring the elf's clothes.
"So, why do you think the House Elves should be supported?" Asked Lucy, sending a curious look to Ruby. But she wasn't giving up on asking questions yet. "Have you ever seen a House Elf before? And if so, then where?"
Yes, there always seemed to be an endless list of questions with Lucy Channing.

Once Holly finished the background of her button, which was black with small yellow specks blended in, she sat the button down carefully to dry. Holly wiped bits of paint off her hand, deciding to avoid any paint getting on anything else but the button.
Now that the background's done, I should probably design the main bit of it... Holly thought, before noting that there was a bit of paint that dropped on the table. She wiped it off and threw the paper towel in the trash and tightened her ponytail a bit more.
She stood up, stretching her legs a bit after sitting there for a good few minutes. She dusted herself off to make sure she didn't have anything on her, being a slight neat freak naturally. More people had come now, the room filling up a bit more with new people. Most seemed focused, some were chatting and others were existing peacefully, which makes sense to Holly. After about 5 minutes, Holly sat back down. The paint was still wet, as it was only 5 minutes. What'd you expect? She let it dry and thought out the main bit of the button, trying to visualize the color scheme and how it'd look. She was going to be very, very picky with this color design and paint scheme as she wanted to try and make this as best she can. Holly did not enjoy mess-ups she makes.
OOC Note: I've been WAY too busy, sorry for not responding for what feels like forever. Read through everything to make sure I'm caught up. Sorry again for having a repeat, I've been busy with the same things as previous. Hi to people I haven't met by the way! I really hope this doesn't become a common occurrence from me, even though there's a high chance it will.
You only live once, but if you do it right, once is enough.
