Dewey Decimating Our Feelings PV Closed

"Well, well, well, old bean," Piper huffed, adopting a ridiculous posh accent himself, "I'm afraid that's where we must find ourselves at a stalemate. See, the conundrum here is that you feel your fellowship boasts values of courage, industriousness and intelligence, whereas I am of the opinion that you're completely off your rocker."
"This line, it determines everything. It is so dangerous that of course it was blurred out. It probably holds the secrets to the universe."
Piper gasped. "It's all so obvious now! Indeed, the line holds all the secrets of the Universe because it is the Universe. This blur of ink contains all existence, including us. Gnarly."

He shifted on the spot, trying to conceal his nervousness about casting the spell for the first time since class (and the day after class, when he'd run gleefully about the dorm, repairing anything he could find that had found an unfortunate fate at his hands). He was, however, also excited, happy to be progressing towards another clue, and that excitement quickly overtook any reservations he might have.

"Okay," he said finally, "just quickly- I'm kinda thinking, like- maybe it won't work? I'll give it my best shot, obviously- can't let the secrets of the Universe go undiscovered- but I'm not sure if an ink smudge even counts as a repair. But, hey, we won't know 'til we try!"

With a growing smile, he dug out his wand from a mound of stuff that had followed him into the library, and, after taking a second to remember the correct wand movement, aimed it at the book.

"Oh, and maybe put it down? I don't want to "repair" your arm and the book into one papery flesh mess."

He flicked his wand. "Reparo!"

Not really sure how casting spells works? I've done the class to get the spell (though I haven't gotten round to adding it to the trunk yet) but I'm not sure if there's anything else I should be doing right now. If in doubt, we can just have nothing happen.
