Danielle's Martch
Danielle coughed. Her head was pounding, her throat was as dry as a desert, and she kept getting the chills, even though she was under her warm covers. "Ugh, I hate being sick." she thought, wondering where she could've caught her cold.
Putting her mind to rest, Dani closed her eyes and called for her house elf. "Holley." she called out as loud as she could without hurting her dry throat.
The house elf popped into her room not moments later. "What can Holley do for Miss Alden this morning?" The elf asked, her big round eyes watching Danielle for her next order.
"Can I get some warm soup from the kitchen? And a cup of water?" Dani asked, before coughing again.
"Of course, Miss." Holley said before bowing and disappearing once again with a pop to go fetch the soup and water Dani had requested.
About ten minutes later, Holley appeared again, placing the soup and water on Danielle's bedside table. "Soup and water for Miss."
"Thank you Holley." Danielle said hoarsely, picking up the soup before beginning to eat it, hoping she'd feel better in the next couple of days.Prompt: House Elf

Danielle's Martch
6-year-old Danielle shut her eyes tight as her mother apparated her siblings and her to the French Countryside where her grandparents lived. After the feeling of being shoved into a small tube disappeared, she opened her eyes, smiling once the sight of wildflowers and grasses met her eyesight. She took in a deep breath of the fresh air, bending down to pick a flower by her foot.
"Allez Danielle. Il ne faut pas perdre de temps." Her mother called out to her. (Come on, Danielle. We must not waste time).
Danielle looked up from the flower to see her mother was already further away than expected. "Viens maman!" She called out, beginning to run to catch up. (Coming Mother!)
Soon enough, they'd reached their grandparents' home. The Moreau Estate. Danielle grinned at the sight of the house, giggling quietly in joy. After all, she was home.Prompt: Home Sweet Home
Explanation: Danielle is young (6), and feels like her grandparent's home in France is more of a home than her real one with how much time is spent there.

Danielle's Martch
It was a rainy, spring, Sunday afternoon. Danielle had spent the morning out on the grounds, picking all the pretty wildflowers she could find before it had begun to pour rain. Once she'd gotten back to her dorm up in Ravenclaw Tower, Dani climbed the ladder to her bunk, going to the end of it to dig around in her trunk to find what she was looking for. Her book of flower presses. Smiling once she had the book in her hands, she climbed back down to the floor, taking the flowers out of her bag.
Flipping to a new page in her book, Danielle placed the parchment paper down and began to arrange the flowers how she wanted them on the paper. Once she had the flowers all ready, Dani folded the other half of the parchment paper over the flowers before closing the book. Finding a heavy weighed object, Danielle placed it on top of the book. Now all she had to do was wait a couple days until the flowers were dry.Prompt: An IC Item In Your Trunk

Danielle's Martch
Danielle's first reaction was shock. She couldn't believe it. Her mother? Dead? She didn't know it was possible. After all, how is a nine-year-old supposed to process the fact that she'd never see her mother again?
Her next reaction was to look over at her little sister, Charlotte, and her older brother, Blaise. Charlotte looked confused. "What do you mean she'd not with us anymore?" her little sister of only seven years asked. "Don't be silly, Father."
Blaise had tears already cascading down his face. He was 10. He knew what it meant. He'd never hear his mother's voice again. Never see her face in real life. Never get to hear her comforting words after a nightmare. He didn't dare to explain it to Charlotte, and neither did their father.
Their father's face was blank, void of any emotion. Was he pushing it all down, trying to stay strong for his three children? Danielle didn't know. She didn't care. She stood up from their table and began to climb the staircases up their home until she reached her room.
The fact that her mother was truly, forever gone didn't sink into her until the next week. Monday's were her mother's day to shine in the kitchen, baking her signature eclairs. Danielle expected to walk downstairs and hear her mother humming a joyous tune, mixing away at something in a bowl. When she walked downstairs that morning, there was nothing. No joyous tune being hummed, no smell of eclairs baking, no mother in the kitchen.
Danielle finally broke, falling to her knees and letting out a long sob that she'd suppressed for so long.Prompt: Death
