Interacting with @Linda Ramirez Date - 29/11/23 WC 209/200 Color Legend - Mylo | Thoughts Linda continued to talk to them, trying to help him snap out of the panic the heights had left them in. "You're not going to fall, you are not going to fall" he muttered, still trying to snap themselves out of it as well. Linda's voice helping ever so slightly to break through the spell of panic, and slowly but surely he could feel themselves calm down just enough. It was nowhere near full calm, but they'd finally been able to take a full deep breath and gather their bearings a bit, helping the panic to subside ever so slightly.
Deciding not to look over at Linda but to keep looking forward they took another deep breath. Although it had helped calm them down a bit their body still didn't want to cooperate fully and Mylo was still left floating in the air getting a bit desperate to feel the solid ground under their feet.
"I-I can't..." He started, not quite being able to gather their thoughts fully to talk to Linda at first, once again taking another deep breath, normally accompanied by closing his eyes but he wouldn't dare to do that in this state, he tried again hoping to get their thoughts out.
"I can't get down."

Linda sighed quietly as Mylo managed to get himself calm down if ever so slightly. Hearing their words, she understood even more about source of panic. So now, all that she had to do was to get them back to the ground safely.
We will land together. I'll make sure it will be safe for both of us. Just for a second she wondered how Mylo managed to get through the lesson if she never got higher than they did in first year lessons. However, maybe he still didn't feel confident enough with this broom as it was different from school one.
Keep looking forward and ever so slightly position your broom a tiny bit down. That's important, to make it not too much, just with a little difference from your current position. When you are ready, you will find yourself smoothly and with little speed coming less high and closer to the ground. Please, when you see ground in front of you, while still looking forward, don't change anything about your movements. Once you are absolutely sure you can stand on the ground, simply stand and breath. I'll be near you all the time.
Finished with her rather long speech that she hoped Mylo could focus with, she moved just a little bit forward, so with looking in front of him, he could still see what she was doing. However, it also have her possibility to notice if anything would go wrong with them in time to take action.

Interacting with @Linda Ramirez Date - 29/11/23 WC 313/200 Color Legend - Mylo | Thoughts 'Just tilt your broom down ever so slightly' Linda was telling Mylo how to get down safely and fortunately he had calmed down just enough that they were able to pick up what she was saying after being able to get the previous words out of their mouth. 'She's going to be with us the entire way, we're not going to fall'
His thoughts had finally taken the detour necessary, from heightening their panic to finally being useful and making him feel slightly more as if everything was going to be okay. Probably due to Linda's words of encouragement and patience.
Taking another deep breath he does as she told them, looking forward Mylo ever so slightly tilts their broom down, feeling themselves starting to make an excruciatingly slow descent. At least it wasn't educing another panic attack. It took a while but Mylo finally found themselves hovering slightly over the solid ground again.
Moving down a little more like Linda told them to he finally put their feet down on the floor, releasing a breath they weren't even aware they were holding. Sitting back on the ground they hugged their knees, thoughts rushing into his mind with the panic having left.
'Why on earth did you go so high, you'd only been practicing low and hadn't even thought about going that high yet. You probably gave Linda a heart attack as well with your panic attack. Jeez, stupidity. It was going so well. At least she managed to salvage the practice.' He scolded himself, having realised that Linda was just here for practice and not to rescue them from their own mistakes.
Standing back up he goes to apologize, not wanting to make things any worse"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to go so high." They say, his voice not coming out as loud as it probably should.

Linda breathed out relaxing when Mylo finally got to the ground. She didn't have practice with calming other's panic attacks and especially not while being in the air on broom. She took her broom, thinking now she'd better go to her room. That would be stupid and dangerous to attempt to practice after Mylo would go as she felt quite tired all of sudden.
At his apology she managed to give them a tired but happy smile. That's fine. But I guess it would be better for you to practice with professor next time. I don't have experience in stopping panic attacks, so I'm just happy it worked out this time. Professor surely would have more experience and most likely would know other ways to get Mylo to the ground if it would happen again.
But as advice to a friend, please don't go higher unless you are really confident in what you are doing. Otherwise you risk getting yourself to panic, which might lead to your endangering yourself and others around you. As it's your first experience, or still beginning I'd say, get higher little by little, changing height only when you are comfortable with current level. And always supervised by someone who has experience at least in flying, so if anything happens, you still would be alright.
She didn't mean to sound rude, but this was important after what they faced some seconds ago. Anyway, are you okay now? Linda looked at Mylo while waiting for the answer.
She would say that she was going back to the castle if he didn't need help, after hearing his answer. Linda would walk not too fast in case Mylo would want to go to castle together, but then she would say goodbye and lead to her room. She definitely wasn't going to do anything with broom today.

Interacting with @Linda Ramirez Date - 29/11/23 WC 236/200 Color Legend - Mylo | Thoughts They couldn't believe they'd gone that high without realising it. Somehow he must have zoned out while ascending and messed up that way. Mylo was feeling so bad for making Linda deal with the ensuing panic of the heights, and the advice she gave them was very fair. The stern tone of her lecture not helping their guilt though, remembering that she had probably come here to practice herself and not to deal with a panicking student.
"Uhm, yeah yeah I'm fine. I didn't realise how high I was I think I might have accidentally zoned out or something, I really only meant to go a few feet higher, not actually as high as I did. Thank you for helping, although you don't have much experience with it. I'll be more careful about that in the future. I'm really sorry for messing up your practice though."
After hearing their apology and answers to her questions she started walking away, presumably to go back to the castle. Mylo decided not to walk with her, leaving her be for the time being and wanting to be alone for a little bit to hopefully calm themselves down more and actually be presentable. Sitting back down on the ground he started doing some breathing exercises his dad had taught them and tried to keep their feelings at bay. The flying having been a great mistake for halfway through the week.
