Rose said quite a lot of things that made sense, with the amount of professors and prefects wandering around after curfew they wouldn't really need any special things to look out for rogue students, although it wouldn't surprise Mylo if there was something like that. He wasn't planning on finding out either way, as they had no desire to be getting into trouble.

The sun had started setting, which cast a gorgeous light over the lake and the sky, leaving Mylo ever so slightly mesmerised, luckily they got out of it quick enough to hear Rose talk about the amount of spells there are.

"That makes sense, although I do think some people would find a way to use every spell somehow. It's probably something like you see others doing spells and then learn those or something, but the spells we learn here are the more important ones and the bases for every other spell" He added, nodding along to her explanation.

Thestrals, that's a lovely name they thought, wondering how they would know if you could see them, but then giving up on that as it was probably something to do with magic and that would be something Mylo would most likely never understand.

Then Rose mentioned that they reminded her of her when she was young, which stunted Mylo a bit. He thought Rose was quite cool, especially after she let them ramble on like that many times and didn't seem offended by them getting distracted in the middle of conversations. Which meant that they didn't quite know how to react, but it didn't stop a shy blush from appearing on their face. "Uhm, thank you. You must have been quite interested in animals as well then." He settled on saying, something that they had both shown an interest in and that wasn't too much to say, fiddling with their hands hoping that she would take it as a compliment and that she would notice that they took it as a compliment as well. A smile appearing as well as Rose mentioned liking cats, although the next sentence that she said stopped them from going on about the cat they were thinking about maybe getting.

"I do think that might be good. Although the light does look great, I love watching the sunsets here, it reflects so nicely on the water. But yeah, tea might be good." He says, not wanting to assume that she meant walking together or anything like that but still kind of hoping that she did mean that. Standing up and dusting off their trousers he looked at her, trying to not make it too obvious that he was waiting for her to conform their thoughts one way or the other.

OOC Notes - I have a feeling that so many sentences don't make sense. This was a speed write so please ignore those lmao.

The light from the sunset hit her auburn hair, only highlighting its red hues. Rose used to hate her red hair, hating how it brought unwanted attention to it, hating how it stuck out among her blond siblings. But here in the sunset, it seemed to set her curls aflame in the light. She couldn't help but appreciate it, as she was more and more these days.

Rose agreed with the younger kid as their conversation about spells was brought to a close. What they were saying made a lot of sense. There were probably millions of spells, more than could ever be taught in seven years of classes, at least to the point of retention, so people were likely to continue learning even after Hogwarts. Rose probably would keep learning spells forever, if she could.

Mylo blushed a little as she said that they reminded her of herself when she was younger. He seemed to take it as a compliment, but also didn't seem entirely sure. "I was," she confirmed, remembering just how eager she was for her very first class of Care of Magical Creatures. How she studied, how she excelled. She was sure Mylo was going to be the same, by their conversation so far.

The two of them made their way to their feet after Rose suggested some dinner, and she stretched her arms up over her head, a little stiff from sitting. "Ready?" she asked Mylo as she finished her stretch. Rose walked up back to the castle with Mylo, if he was alright with that, chatting more about creatures, cats, and all their shared interests. Rose's gloom from earlier hadn't really dissipated- no, the grief was always there, present in the back of her mind, in the ache of her heart- but Rose felt better than she had in quite a few days. She hadn't known how much better a good quiet conversation would help her feel, but she was grateful to Mylo, even though she may have scared him at first. "Thanks for talking with me," she told Mylo before they parted ways. "I hope we'll meet again sometime."

Rose got up and asked if Mylo was ready, and Mylo took this as a sign that she did in fact want to walk together and not that her other statement was one where they would part ways now. Her conformation making them feel a little less nervous once again.

"Yep! I'm curious as to what's for tea tonight, I hope they have some pasta. Ooh and maybe some carrot cake, that would be nice." He stated, knowing that there were a lot of options every evening but still not 100 percent sure about if stuff was there every evening or if some evenings he had just missed certain dishes.

As the two of them walked over to the castle they continued talking about a lot of different topics, mostly about animals though not that Mylo minded in the slightest. And her willingness to talk to them and listen to them ramble had made Mylo feel very at ease and had made them hope that she would want to talk more in the future, and maybe hang out again.

As Rose thanked them for talking Mylo smiled at her. "Thank you for listening, and telling me all about things! I really hope we meet again!" Walking into the hall for tea they wondered what their next encounter would be.
