Thoughts: italicsKaitlyn watched Lumine’s script and could not help but to giggle at first. ‘Wow, she is quite knowledgeable. If I’m ever injured, she’d be an excellent person to visit … then again, I’d hate to use my friends in that regard. She’s so smart,’ she thought, watching in awe of the upcoming words. And they kept flowing and flowing. But, Lumine’s words made sense. She found herself nodding, as the words flowed. Active reading was pretty cool, in her opinion.
Once Lumine was finished and discovered her full notebook, Kaitlyn smiled brightly. She quickly ducked below her desk and pulled out a few pieces of plain parchment paper, not her fancy schmancy parchment paper to organize her notes. These were the basic first draft variety. She handed them to Lumine with a smile. While she’d love to listen to Lumine’s voice, she wanted her friend to be comfortable. And, she figured that Lumine would be the most comfortable if she had the choice of whether to speak or not … and she needed something to write on for that choice to be visible.
“You know, Lumine, I didn’t intend for you to tell me all that information right now. But, thank you very much for providing it. It sounds like very valuable information I will want to keep in mind, as we continue our education here,” she smiled brightly, showing Lumine that she was thankful for the help.
In retrospect, handling the ingredients with her bare hands was likely not a good move on her part. Contamination was a very real risk. They were brewing an herbicide, however, so it wasn’t a potion they were brewing to consume. But, she still needed to watch herself going forward. ‘If I want to maintain my good grades, I’ll have to,’ she thought.
“And now a wave of the wand,” Kaitlyn announced, waving her wand over the potion. She turned to Lumine and giggled. “I think we’re done,” she smiled brightly to her partner.Reducio
