The boy gritted his teeth once he read her reaction after his mishap. It wasn't the best thing to do, but it was fault on both of their parts that they didn't know each other. So when she told Anatole her name, he tried to brush it off. "Mia Alexander," she had replied.

"Yeah! Mia! That's who you are! Good to meet you again, I guess!" He moved closer to her again, whispering a sad "Sorry."

Now, Anatole was unavoidably soaked. The water had grown warmer since more people had come in (and Anatole didn't keep track of the people before it was too late), and he would have to do a lot more work to get his hair dry. Ami's snide remark didn't help his confidence much. "You mind quitting it? I...well...I try not to take my job all too seriously. I'm still Anatole! And...And uh..." His voice drowned out and he rustled his hair. Prefect was pretty much how he liked it. It was status that he had been craving, and now he had it. "I think I already lost count of the number of people in here..." Anatole gulped, sighing. He would lose this job faster than he got it.

Standing in the sun, more or less staring at it, wasn't going to do a thing. When Mia retorted at Ami, Anatole chuckled and smiled. "She isn't wrong..." And with yet another sigh, the Gryffindor boy paddled into more shallow water, where he could reach and the water wasn't up to his small, tan, neck. "We'd meet again? Did I ever say that? I....I don't remember...Sometimes I don't even remember going there." He scratched his head, blushing with embarrassment...again. The boy was about to reach over and dunk Ami in the water, but suddenly held himself back, remembering his role and hearing another voice from afar.

How strange. "Hey Guys!"

Anatole whipped his head toward the girl, not noticing his flip-flops float away in the water. "Oh, hey!" Another name he had to remember! Great! This one should've come to him faster than the other. Something else with an A...

"Oh! Hey...Amadea! Yeah, Amadea! How are you?" He could tell from the look in her eyes that she was about to dive in, so he swam over to the side, getting his hair wet reluctantly.

And...wow. Right behind Amadea's perfect entrance, Mia shoved Ami in the water, splashing right onto Anatole's face. A couple drops of water even fell into his mouth. The boy tried to hack them out and laugh it off. But yeah, there was something about a couple girls that annoyed the boy in the slightest.

However, he tried not to let his status get to him, yet it was hard. Very hard.

Interacting with Amanda and Sophie.

After Amanda greeted Sophie, she turned back to Hengist and answered his earlier question, "I’m from Los Angeles, California. Like, you know, where Hollywood and palm trees are. It’s basically your southern California stereotype." It seemed slightly to him that she had answered that question before, and wasn't a fan of it. She then gave a small smile and said “Well, parts of it anyways. So, what cabins are you guys in? I’m in the Cabin of the Auguery.”

He decided not to lay to heavy on his reply about where she's from. Besides, his answer would be truthful anyway. "I haven't seen very many muggle, what are they called, films? I've seen some science fiction programs that I think were pretty old, but I don't know much else about it. I've only really read about general muggle history in some books, but haven't really gotten into the culture and I don't know much about it's stereotypes. All I really know about Los Angeles is that Hollywood is where those film things get made," Hengist responded. He'd hoped that hadn't said anything there that would've made Amanda too mad. He then answered her second question, "I'm in the Cabin of the Occamy with Professor Scheinberg. What about you, Sophie? Where are you from and what cabin are you in?" Hengist didn't want to be rude to Sophie, it felt like he wasn't letting her get an answer in, so he waited for her to answer.

"You mind quitting it? I...well...I try not to take my job all too seriously. I'm still Anatole!"
"I know, Anatole," Ami sighed with a small smile. "The day you change is the day I murder whoever tried to correct an already perfect Anatole." Were those words really coming out of her mouth? He was a prefect, and she had already gotten in deep, deep trouble for breaking Dorian's knee. Yeah, she probably wasn't going to murder anyone anytime soon.
"Hey guys! How's it going? And why is Anatole the only one swimming?"
Ami beamed and waved a hello to one of her closest friends ever at Hogwarts, one Amadea Campbell, the only person who could fully keep Ami in check. "Hey, Amadea!" She chose not to answer the latter question, eyeing Anatole nervously. She smiled apologetically at him, now realizing pulling him into the water wasn't the best idea in the world, and she probably should have thought it through before she did so.

Before she could say anything else, however, Ami felt a pair of hands on her back, shoving her under the water. Ami had to admit, she was completely and utterly surprised. Goddamn, Mia... Shaking her head ruefully and blinking underwater, Ami lunged towards the first pair of legs she saw.

Wrong legs, they were Anatole's. He went under, again, and Ami resurfaced expecting to be triumphant, but instead found the poor Gryffindor prefect half-submerged. "Oh, for the love of god..." she grumbled, and reaching out her hands, pulled Anatole back up to a standing position. "Sorry, I thought you were Mia." Glaring (jokingly) at Mia, Ami lunged after her two friends, laughing. "Anatole, come on!"

Talking to Hengist and Amanda

As the two spoke, Sophie listened quietly. She was always the kind of person to listen instead of speak, unless it was in a dire situation. And, at the time, it hadn't been a dire situation. Well, nothing about swimming with a few friends was dire.

"Oh, I was born on a plane, right on the border of Scotland and England, but for the past year I've lived in England, and before that my family traveled every few months. So, I guess I'm from.. everywhere? Well, probably England because its the longest time I've ever stayed in a country. Oh! And I'm in the cabin of the Thestral."

Sophie spoke with passion, she always did. Her bright emerald eyes flickered around, not being able to stop looking around. She loved watching other people, not in a creepy way.

She found other people interesting, in an odd way. She always thought other people were much more fascinating than herself, an odd person indeed. Well seeing as she's lived a very odd life herself, finding herself odd more than other people wasn't very shocking.

There were a few people she recognized, like a girl named Mia Alexander, where the two had met in the Owlery for a moment before both disappearing. She had also recognized a boy named Anatole Evans, someone whom she's seen in the Gryffindor Common room.

Other than that, she'd never seen anyone else, though she simply refused to be social, it was interesting to see how other people reacted to certain things.

What an odd person Sophie is.

Goodbye lovelies!

Aurelia had gone swimming in the lake thrice in the Hogwarts school year. Two of which where she didn't even intend to touch the waters. One occasion, she had almost drowned, a backfired flipendo was involved then, at least she had survived the year. Another time, she was pushed into the waters 'accidentally' by Ellory. The brunette is still skeptical about that 'push'.

Aurelia groaned slighly when she spotted an Auburn brunette in the swimming with a few other twelve year olds. Why was she so popular? If they knew the snake had been involved with Charles York in his pureblood gathering, they most likely wouldn't be in the waters with her now. There were even a few muggleborns splashing at her. They better watch their backs.

Aurelia sat at the lakes edge just watching them. The water was quite cold as the small waves lapped at her feet. She had intended to go for a dive, but since none of her friends were there, it wouldn't be as fun. Aurelia hugged her knees as the cool wind blew past her. Her two peice bathing suit wasn't helping at all. She hoped someone she knew would magically appear soon the others in the water seem to be having a lot of fun.

Yes!!! Eventually! The lake was open for swimming! Hooray! Angela couldn't wait for that the entire school year. She loved swimming, and observing the lake every day from the common room, while not being able to swim in it, was killing her.

She was determined to swim one day. And now she can, all day every day during this camp! She wondered if she will get sick of it eventually. Now she was more than eager. When she heard the news, almost immediately she changed into her one-piece yellow swimming suit (was it a bit too small? did she grow so much this year?), grabbed a towel and sandals and almost run towards the beach.

There were some people already, even some small groups of friends splashing around and talking. But she didn't come here for chit-chat. She came to swim! She walked slowly into the water. It was still a bit cold, but not unpleasantly so. Hello, Great Lake, what's up?, she talked quietly. Here I am, to totally conquer you.

She walked until the water was on her shoulders level and embraced her entire body below the head. It was so nice and refreshing. Like gravity gradually stopped even applying to her. She decided to go for a short dive and resurfaced a couple yards later.

Ahhh! This is the stuff, isn't it?!, she yelled to the nearest student who?, who was swimming nearby. And dove again, not waiting for a reply.

Swimming was a bit like flying, only slower and with more resistance. Angela looked around, calmly swimming forward. The bottom of the lake was overgrown with seaweed. Sunlight beamed from the surface. It was all really peaceful. She could float here all day.

Interacting with Anatole, Twinnie <3, and Ami

Mia resurfaced from the water, refreshed. Her hair was no longer in beach waves, but straight down her back, the water making it several shades darker then it actually was.

On guard, Mia looked towards Ami, only to see her lunge towards Anatole and pull him underwater. Wincing, she came closer to the two of them and laughed, a small tinkling, airy laugh that alerted then of her presence.
Oh, for the love of god...Sorry, I thought you were Mia. Anatole, come on!
Ami glared-obviously joking-at Mia, and she teasingly smiled her way, her cheeks flushing. Stop it Mia! She's your friend!

Shaking her head as if to dispel the thoughts from her head, Mia walked in closer to Anatole, and smiled at him, shaking her head slightly.

Do not mess with Ami. You'l regret it.

She laughed and looked at Amadea, whose hair was also wet and sticking to her back-probably from diving into the water just before she did. Mia wished that she could dive half as well as Amadea. She was just so...graceful. With long legs and a flexible upper body, she made the water hers, and surfaced just as well. Despite her swim practice, Mia was always less agile then her teammates, winning by pushing herself more than anyone else. She was determined, but not as talented. And that irked her.

Amadea laughed as she treaded water, watching as Mia slammed into Ami with all of her might, knocking the redhead into the water. She laughed as Ami came to the surface, sputtering and not knowing what hit her. She moved over to make room for everyone in the water as Mia dove in shortly after, trying to block the splash of water that came toward her.

Amadea was surprised that Ami hadn't let out one of her signature banshee screams when she had been pushed into the water. Then Amadea laughed again as Ami attempted to get revenge but only managed to try sinking Anatole instead. She shook her head. Ami was a definitely a force to be reckoned with. Amadea wasn't quite sure what they had been referencing before she had approached, but it seemed as though Ami had done something that she wasn't supposed to...not that it surprised Amadea. Ami was definitely not the best influence on her, but Amadea didn't really care. Ami was a great friend.

Amadea reached up and shoved a lock of hair behind her ear. She didn't want to imagine what it looked like at the moment; most likely, it was probably a scattered mess of curls. She nodded in response to what Mia had said. "That is very true," Amadea added. "Ami's scary. Her banshee scream especially." Amadea shuddered out of reflex thinking about the many times she had heard the scream. It rattled her to the core.

Sitting around treading water was becoming quite boring for Amadea, so she suggested a fun contest. "Who wants to have a swimming contest?" she asked. "To the edge and back," she added, pointing to where the sectioned off portion of the lake ended. Amadea loved swimming, and was confident in her swimming skills. This race would be a breeze for her...that is, if anyone wanted to join in. "We could add in a prize for the winner. Or a consequence for the loser." Those were always fun incentives, and swimming was more fun than just sitting here in the water.

Interacting with Hengist Warbeck and Sophie Murphy
Hengist: "I haven't seen very many muggle, what are they called, films? I've seen some science fiction programs that I think were pretty old, but I don't know much else about it. I've only really read about general muggle history in some books, but haven't really gotten into the culture and I don't know much about it's stereotypes. All I really know about Los Angeles is that Hollywood is where those film things get made. I'm in the Cabin of the Occamy with Professor Scheinberg. What about you, Sophie? Where are you from and what cabin are you in?"
Amanda grinned. It was refreshing to find someone who knew practically nothing about where she was from. Usually there were lots of people, all asking if she’d met anyone famous or been in any movies. The answer was always no, of course. They lived in a rather small suburb of Los Angeles. Well, at least it was small compared to the rest of the city. Amanda directed her attention at Sophie as she responded.
Sophie: “Oh, I was born on a plane, right on the border of Scotland and England, but for the past year I've lived in England, and before that my family traveled every few months. So, I guess I'm from.. everywhere? Well, probably England because its the longest time I've ever stayed in a country. Oh! And I'm in the cabin of the Thestral.”
Amanda’s eyes widened. “You were born on a plane?! Wow, that’s so cool!” Amanda smiled. All of her new friends here at Hogwarts were just so exciting and interesting compared to her few and far between Muggle friends from elementary school. Even though both her parents could use magic, they chose to live among Muggles instead and try to live a somewhat normal life. Amanda hadn’t known that they could use magic until her older sister got her letter. Maybe someday we’ll move to a little English wizarding town, Amanda thought. Yeah, that would be really nice. That way I wouldn’t have to fly all the way back to California for the school holidays. Turning her attention back towards Hengist and Sophie, she asked “Do you guys know what workshops they’re going to have?”

Interacting with Sophie and Amanda.

After Hengist asked her where she's from, Sophie replied:
"Oh, I was born on a plane, right on the border of Scotland and England, but for the past year I've lived in England, and before that my family traveled every few months. So, I guess I'm from.. everywhere? Well, probably England because its the longest time I've ever stayed in a country. Oh! And I'm in the cabin of the Thestral."
Hengist was slightly confused. "A plane? What's a plane? Oh, you must mean those muggle flying machines called airplanes. I've read about those. They aren't as convenient as brooms from what I've read, are they? Is being born on one common?"

Then Amanda responded to Sophie:
“You were born on a plane?! Wow, that’s so cool!”
Hengist then figured that being born on a muggle airplane wasn't very common.
He was going ask what was so special about being born on a plane when Amanda then asked the pair of them:
“Do you guys know what workshops they’re going to have?”
Hengist was excited for the workshops and only knew of one so far and answered, "I know that there will be a Herbology workshop. I already signed up for it. I think it starts soon, tomorrow or the next day. I haven't heard of any others yet, but I hope they have more. What have you two heard?" He then turned to Sophie and asked, "I know Amanda is in Ravenclaw, I've seen her around the common room there, but I don't think I've seen you. What house are you in?" Hengist waited patiently for the reply. He was always happy to try to make a friend out of his own house. Or really, a friend in general since he didn't have too many.
