He didn't know what had gotten into him, his brain completely zoned out, he was practically just standing there! He was brought back to reality when he was nudged by his teamate, "C'mon Oliver. Get ye head in the game. We've got to win this." she said. "Oh- My God. I zoned out! I don't know what happened!! Good God I'm such an idiot!" he said. "Ive got to get my head in the game! Your right, lets finish this!" he said

Unfortunately, Oliver became too hurt by the flames from Taizu’s incendio that it took him out of the duel, effectively ending his streak of inactivity. It wasn’t all bad for the Ravenclaw team however, as Beatrice was able to cast incendio duo at Taizu with near perfect accuracy. Taizu must have been so stunned by this that he forgot to cast a spell of his own, putting Beatrice in a completely safe and unharmed position, looking ready for the next round.

Bea watched sadly as Oliver came alive too late to save the duel or himself. Overcome by the flames, the heat of which made Bea cringe, he was now out and being looked after outside of the duelling stage. Or so Bea presumed. She wasn't sure of the technical procedure, this being her first duel and all, but she'd seen previous duels and duellists had been carried off the piste once they'd succumbed to attacks.

Bea didn't turn to look at Oliver as he left the field, instead keeping her eyes on Taizu. He'd remained motionless as she fired of another Incendio Duo. Fire, fire, fire. It was a pity there wasn't a spell she knew to make clothes fire-proof. After all of it in this duel - Amaris, Oliver and now Taizu alight, she really wanted to fire-proof her clothes before this next duel. Something to ask her Ma in Summer perhaps...

Oliver had just got his head back together, however it was too late. The flames Taizu conjured was too much for Oliver to handle, the hot flames hit him, before he fell to the ground, unconcious. He would not be able to finish this battle, his teamate was all by herself, she would lead their team to victory. He hoped at least.

Quite the uneventful round, only one spell was cast. While Taizu drifted back into “lights on, no one’s home” mode, Bea decided to cast yet another Incendio Duo. Unfortunately, Taizu got back into it just in time to dodge the spell with ease, missing it by a mile. Alma watched as it crashed into the wall and evaporated in a small plume of flame. Hopefully, things would liven up again here in a second.

Bea watched as her weak spell fizzled and spun its way limply across the piste towards Taizu. Even though he was lost in space again it seemed, the spell was so weak the Gryffindor boy had plenty of time to miss it. Bea wanted to cry. She was so close to finishing this duel. Only a little more! Taking a deep breathe, she mentally fortified herself for the oncoming round. She could do this. She would do this.

With Taizu back in the game, Beatrice was still set in getting him out for good. She cast Incendio Duo yet again, hoping the flames would take him out. Unfortunately for Ravenclaw, Taizu stayed strong and was miraculously still in it. He retaliated with Flipendo, knocking Bea back with the force and Alma had to grit her teeth to keep from grimacing at the pain it looked like it caused. It was just the two of them, and things were getting quite close.

Bea gritted her teeth as she was hit with Taizus' spell. It seemed this would come down to the wire, as her dad would say. The muggle saying was fitting in this moment. All she had needed peviously was some good hits and this would have been all over already! At least her spell had hit this round.

It didn't matter. She would still win. Still get this win for her team and house. Raising her wand once more, she smirked at Taizu, "How's the heat going over there? Too hot to handle?"

Round 9

No rolls needed

And with one final round, the duel fizzled out and came to a close. Alma watched through gritted teeth as the flames became too much for Taizu to handle, causing him to collapse to the ground - not that he looked to be gearing up a spell anyways. Beatrice, on the other hand, seemed perfectly fine - a few cuts and bruises here and there, but ultimately she was doing better than her gryffindoor counterparts who were both collapsed on the floor.

”And with that, Ravenclaw steals the win! Congratulations!” She held up her hand for a high five to Beatrice, hoping she was feeling good enough to take it.
