Alas, everything was once again restored to how it should be. Kamila's sneezing hex had hit its mark. Through all the movements Kamila couldn't tell if her partner had hit his target. She hoped he had. "You okay?" Kamila asked Akira, "Did your spell hit?"
Kamila knew this wasn't going to be easy, but she was starting to wonder if it was going to be easier than she had expected.

@Gemima SableWell, this was really ironic. Just seconds after she had mentally chastised herself to keep focus so they wouldn't lose, her spell she had aimed at Akira had went so horribly off target she doesn't even know how she managed it. It could be blamed on the searing pain she had felt mere seconds before she had went to say the incantation, the flame had just reached skin and it had caused her to hiss out in pain and lose her concentration.
"I'm so sorry," she said to Gemima, a look of mortification apparent on her face at how badly she had failed her attempt at a Knockback Jinx. It stung a lot, quite a big bruise to the ego, but she could dwell over it later. Right now she needed to make sure that didn't happen again. At least her feet had stopped their weird jig, and she breathed out a sigh of relief when she was finally able to stand still again.
Her relief was short lived, though, since moments later Kamila had hit Gemima with a Sneezing Hex, and her poor partner had started sneezing uncontrollably. She wasn't entirely sure what Gemima had about her that made all of their spells aim towards her, intentionally or not. First, her own partner's spell had nearly hit her, and then she'd been hit by the Sneezing Hex and then Akira's spell nearly hit her. Luckily she had dodged two out of the three spells sent her way.
Adelaide sent Gemima an encouraging nod before readying her wand once again. She was determined to persevere until the very end.Action: As strategized

Gem squeaked and swerved out of the way. The spell just barely missed her, and she felt the force of it gust through her hair as it hurtled by.
"It's okay!" she reassured Adelaide, albeit breathlessly. "I'm totally fine. These things happen-- achoo!" Suddenly, it felt as if she had inhaled a whole mountain of pepper. Gem doubled over as sneeze after sneeze racked her body. Her nose and throat felt like they were on fire. The attack was formidable; their opponents weren't playing around!
Still, Gem had experienced her fair share of such sneezing fits, and through watery eyes, she lifted her wand once more.【☆】★【☆】★【☆】★【☆】★【☆】

The Curse of the Bogeys only felt worse as time went by. A wave of nausea upset him, and it took everything he had to not hurl. So, it wasn't surprising that his spell flew off-course, shooting towards Gemima instead of Adelaide. Either way, it still missed, and that only added to his physical misery.
"I'm okay," he said through gritted teeth, while holding his stomach with one hand, actually feeling quite horrible. "Thanks. I'll be better soon." He would strong-arm through this. It's not like he hadn't experienced such a Curse before, while being stricken by a Dancing Feet Spell. Seeing Kamila's spell hit her target was certainly some consolation; he was grateful for his partner's skill and the hints of compassion beneath her usually serious expression.

Jake thought that Akira was being very brave. The boy was looking sicker by the second, and Jake watched closely in case he wasn't going to be able to keep dueling. Sometimes as sick as that, it might be tempting to just lie down. But Akira didn't give up. He kept fighting.
But he couldn't hide that he was weakening even if he wanted to. You could see from a distance that the curse of the bogies was doing its damage, and if that wasn't enough, the boy's uncontrollable dancing seemed to draw all eyes. Jake didn't know if the Ravenclaws' eyes would be gleaming at the opportunity, but he wasn't surprised when he saw who their wands were pointing to.
Everything seemed to happen quick. Perhaps Akira saw it too, and though his legs were still not completely under his own control, he didn't waste a second. Two spells came zipping his way, and it was all Akira could do to stay away from them, ducking and weaving and trying to stay on his moving feet. It still might not have been enough, if Gemima hadn't found her arm jarred by an unwanted sneeze at the last second. No matter how she tried to hold it in or steady herself, the spell would go just a little off course, and that was all Akira needed to side-step. With his inability to stop dancing, it kinda looked a bit like a really impressive music video. Surely, the boy would be at the limits of his energy though, if his awful magical cold didn't clear up quickly.
But Kamila saw what was happening too, and the danger that her partner was in, and she must have known she had to act fast. Before Adelaide could get out of the way, a knockback jinx plowed into her, driving her back with so much force she was taken right off her feet! "Oof..." Jake winced, flinching a bit. That HAD to hurt....

As he expected, the Curse only became worse. His head felt like it was splitting; waves of nausea simply wouldn't abate; mucus was running from his nose, and his handkerchief (which he specifically prepared for duels) was held to the nose by one hand, but soaked thoroughly. In addition to all that misery were his dancing feet, which made it so difficult to concentrate on evading and aiming.
Akira ran a quick cost-benefit analysis and decided that he was in no condition to cast this round. He simply did not have the ability to spread himself so thin: Evading spells took great effort, and how effective would his casting be while Bogey'd and dancing, anyway?
"Miss Yavlinsky," he addressed his partner quietly, "I'm going to have to leave the offense to you this round."
The Ravenclaws were drawn to his weakened state like bees to honey. Two offensive spells were hurled his way, but he somehow managed to wrangle his body into evading them both, feeling his heart thumping loudly in his chest as he did so. He had just so narrowly avoided that Incendio, and the feat was exhilarating.
Not a second later, Miss Yavlinsky's spell struck Adelaide so hard that she seemed to be knocked off her feet. He found it difficult to suppress a quirk to his lips. "Good teamwork, Miss Yavlinsky. I knew I could count on you."
Rounds like this were what he lived for.

Akira told her that he was going to spend this next round dodging. "Okay." Kamila muttered, "Whatever it takes."
Adelaide had fallen. Kamila wished she had a moment to just replay Adelaide's demise.
"The rise and the fall," Kamila whispered. This was what she was made for.
"Thanks," Kamila replied. "You to, excellent job dodging both spells. The other team is so predictable." Kamila said this last part loud enough for the Ravenclaws to hear.
"Remember that little challenge you started?" Kamila asked, "I'm pretty sure I'm winning it now." She whispered.

@Gemima SableSomehow, even through his dancing legs and unwanted cold, Akira had managed to evade both Adelaide and Gemima's spells. Adelaide huffed in annoyance but she barely had any time to react or even move out of the way when a Knockback Jinx sent by Kamila sped right at her with so much force she flew off her feet, landing on the ground with an 'oof'.
She groaned in pain before her face heated up in a mixture of anger, embarrassment and shame. Why was she doing so terribly all of a sudden? It hurt a lot, and even though she was still determined to keep going for as long as her body would physically allow her, she had to admit she'd felt better. Ballet never hurt this much. It didn't help that her opponents were so damn smug and cocky about it aswell, and she could almost feel her temper get the better of her, but she had to control herself or else she'd end up walking right over to Kamila and slapping the girl across the face, which she definitely wasn't allowed to do, no matter how much she wanted to.
Maybe she could control her anger, channel it into energy for her to use against her opponents. Maybe she could still redeem herself somehow. She could deal with her silly, stupid feelings later on when she would be free to sulk about it all she wanted, but right now she was still in the match, and that was still something.Action: As strategized

Jake flinched as he watched Adelaide on the ground. The knockback jinx seemed to have stunned her. But after she hit the ground, he saw the look on the girl's face, and even from a distance, he could see a lot of the emotions that he knew he'd be feeling in her shoes too. Embarrassment, pain, anger - but at her opponent or at herself? She DIDN'T look like she was about to give up though, that was for sure.
Unfortunately, she wasn't going to get to choose everything herself. Because once she hit the ground, the other team noticed like a shark smelling blood in water. Before Adelaide could even stand, two knockback jinxes were flying her way. She would try to avoid as best she could, but there was nothing she could do. Akira's would miss, the boy still looking like he was very, very sick, (though color seemed to be returning to his face after his narrow misses in the round before. To Jake it would have been terrifying, but it seemed to have restored a new energy to Akira). But Kamila's spell would hit its mark, and Adelaide would stop moving, knocked out by the well-aimed jinx.
"Stop!" Jake yelled out, as he always did, wanting to make sure that the Ravenclaw girl was escorted off safely to be helped. He couldn't help the damage done in a duel, but he could at least make sure she got help as soon as possible after. But with Adelaide off the platform, that left Gemima as the last Hogwarts student standing, a two-on-one fight ahead of her.
There was good news for Akira though, because in the moment of pause to tend to Adelaide, he would feel his head begin to clear up, his sinuses beginning to dry, and as the magical ailment wore off, he would feel a renewed vigor - back to fighting shape.
