If one was impressed by the magic that flew last round, one's eyes might melt out of their socket this round. Two spells executed with such beauty and finesse it would warm the heart of even the most avid Quidditch fan.

Willow set the stage by trying to aid her injured partner. The feeling that would wash over Callista must have been one of the most soothing feelings you could feel. Galton was actually a little jealous. The reparifors surely would have gotten Willow high marks in class, not to mention the extra touch she had on the spell. The aura that covered Callista almost radiated comfort to those in the stands. Things started to look up for the Hufflepuff.

They started to... That didn't mean it couldn't take a turn for the worst (which it would). Despite the healing, Callista still needed to stay light on her toes. She knew that she was the main target now, she'd need all her focus to try and dodge what the Ravens would throw at her. Both of her opponents would be throwing the same thing at her. Cade and Delilah were both hard at work crafting flipendos for her. Cade's cast quality was fine, but Delilah's was shining. Where Willow's spell had been the pinnacle of helpfulness, Delilah's spell was pure brutality.

Cade's flipendo was first. The spell shot itself across the stage towards the defending badger but was easily sidestepped. Callista was too on top of it for something with mediocre aim to touch her. But she was not ready for the next flipendo. An audible boom could be heard from Delilah's wand as the flipendo blasted forward. With such speed there was little time for Callista to even try and avoid the ball of magic barrelling her.

Callista was shot backwards, knocked prone onto the stage. It had been an incredibly hard hit, and Galton no longer found himself jealous of the reparifors she had received. His hand began to go up, voice about to call out, but there was movement! The Badger had survived the blow. Now to see if she could make it to her feet.

This was uh… not going particularly well. Despite Willow’s, honestly flawless, healing spell Callista was not looking great. Delilah was a powerful witch and she was showing it. Willow really really didn’t want to be left alone on the piste again. She heard an echo of Flash saying something but at this point anything but the duel became a faint ringing in her ears.

The soothing tingling that spread across her skin felt like sunlight on a warm day or hot chocolate on a cold morning. It warmed her to the tips of her toes, and Callista relaxed, loosening up her stance to evade the spells that were no doubt coming.

Both jets were that same electric blue; the first one was sidestepped, but the second... Delilah's uncanny accuracy reminded her too much of Dmitri's. Perhaps Callista's weakened body hampered her evasive ability, or maybe luck was just not on her side. Not only did Delilah's spell crash into her, it crashed into her like a truck.

On another day, she might have admired Delilah (and Willow)'s beautiful handiwork, but right now, she was just trying to stay conscious. The hard wooden floor made a frightening sound as the second year's lithe body collapsed onto it. Gritting her teeth, the only thing Callista could think of was, Gotta hold on. For Willow.

Sidestepped yet again. Somewhat frustrating, but Cade couldn't really be too fussed about it. This is how the duel went, one wizard casts the other jumps out of the way. Thankfully Del was there to back him, even from where Cade stood he could tell that Callista was on her last legs. It couldn't be long now. They just needed to strike at the opportune moment.

Galton did not think it was possible for a Duelist to dazzle the audience with such magical feats so consistently. Where Willow had shown her prowess as a healer last spell, she let her offense shine this round.

In defense of her knocked-about partner, Willow send a wonderful looking Expelliarmus across the piste. As wonderful as her technique was though, her aim was shaky. Stress from a near dead partner? Callista would use the cover of the spell to shoot up to her feet.

Lucky for Willow (and Callista), she would catch her target off guard. A surprise moment. The Badgers had seemed to react quicker than the Ravens would have imagined. Delilah's wand would pop out of her hand and tumble away across the stage.

But had this momentary breathe bought the badgers enough wiggle room to save Callista yet?

Willow acted quickly. So quick in fact that Cade's mind went absolutely blank as he watched the scene play out before him in a slow dreamlike quality. Crackling red light streaked towards them and Cade flinched for a second, expecting the worst. But opened his eyes a crack when he saw Delilah's wand fly from her hand across the piste. Cade bit his cheek, eyes falling back across the stage where Willow stood. That's not good.

Duels quickly turned tides, and this one wasn't an exception. For whatever reason, the Ravenclaw's seemed to hesitate. It was the perfect opportunity for Callista to scramble up and for Willow to cast another perfect spell that launched Delilah's wand out of her hand. She took a moment to look at her duelling partner, flashing a brilliant smile and wink of encouragement. While she wasn't looking... great. She was still in the game and that's what mattered.

Even as she hastened to scramble up, Callista was tensing in anticipation for a spell or two to come flying her way. It only made since that they would take advantage of her inability to do - well, anything, really. To her confusion, she was able to get up smoothly without any trouble, and Willow had sent a beautiful Disarming Spell at Del.

It seemed the Ravenclaws had momentarily blanked. Or maybe they had the decency to let the girl get up before resuming their attack. Either seemed plausible at this point. Although they were still disadvantageous, things were looking up again. Willow was a ray of sunshine as usual, sending a flattering smile and wink of encouragement Callista’s way.

As expected, Callista could feel her cheeks heat up, even more acutely than the dull, throbbing pain in her ribs. She ducked her head away from her duelling partners in favour of focusing on the two Ravenclaws before her, hoping that no one could see the pink that coated her cheeks.

Galton cringed as the Badgers sent a torrent of spells towards the Ravens on the other side of the piste. Surely they would be able to get some damage onto the board before Delilah was back in the fight. They needed to close the gap as quick as possible.

As Callista and Willow began casting both Cade and Delilah scrambled around the piste looking for the missing wand. Whatever had taken hold of them a moment ago was gone. They were light on their feet as they searched.

And that would be their saving grace. Willow sent a sharp burst of wind towards each of them. A split Ventus was a beautiful thing, one of Galton’s favorite spells. The wind raced towards the opposing duelists. But focusing on the search for the wand had given each duelist a better position to react from. Cade dodged left and Delilah went right. The torrent of air passed by each of them, only managing to move a few hairs on their head.

Cade would also find a flipendo coming strait for him. Callista had worked up the powerhouse of a spell and aimed it at the searching duelist. And her aim had been so close. Mere centimeters from sending the raven flying. But it was not to be.

After the chaos from the spells had settled Cade would find Delilah’s wand. The wooden stick that would help them claim victory. Passing the wand over to his partner the two were ready to go once again.
