Bauble Crafting
Bauble crafting! Vale wasn't so much sure as where to begin. She carried her doll Ashes in one arm, observing the area curiously. There was a familiar face; the prefect that is committed to introductions. Vale recalled her back during the duelling match among her study peers. And with only a short memory recall, Vale went along in silence to craft her own bauble. She didn't take much care as to where she sat so long as two seats were open. As she sat down after her preferred find, she placed her doll in a seat over from her's.
ActionReducioBauble crafting! @ReducioOpen to Interactions! NoteReducioHappy holidays everyone! OutfitReducioVale's wearing black, casual wear with her hair unusually down without ponytails.
"Aw Ashes, we already did skulls for the cookies!" The doll made no sound, laying limp on the chair. "Why not do something else? Like..." Vale grabbed two baubles, placing one of them in front of the limp doll's chair. "I don't know. Spiders! Familia would like that, wouldn't she?" Vale referred to her pet spider, who preferred to rest back at the dorms instead of roaming. "Yeah! We can paint them and add sticks for legs!" Vale was having a blast, speaking to her unresponsive doll like it was another person. If anyone actually bothered to interact with it, nothing unusual would happen.
"Huh? Really? You think so? Well, that would make sense." Now the conversation seems outlandish, not understandable without ears on the so-called second person in the conversation. The second bauble laid bare while the young Ashwood went on to sticking on small, black sticks to her own bauble before taking to painting it completely black. If Vale isn't interacted with, it can be assumed she left the thread.

Christmas or Yule celebration in the house of Fowl is usually very festive. Her aunt is always a big supporter of Christmas and her house was always full of Christmas decorations. Up until now Pea always celebrated Christmas with her aunt and family. But this year she will be spending her time with the other students of Hogwarts, making some Bauble she supposed? what a disgrace.
Usually, the house of Fowl tradition was involved shopping for Christmas garments, eating a fancy dinner with wine, (she drinks apple juice but she acts like it was wine) or opening up luxurious presents, basically a very elegant and peaceful time. So this type of celebration like crafting baubles or cutting snowflakes is definitely something like a servant job. But instead, Hogwarts makes the students do what is supposedly a job for the house-elf and call it an activity. That is so absurd, she thought, but again she has nothing better to do.
She arrived at the Great Hall and grabs some materials to make the ornaments. She picks up a thick paper, some glitters, and of course the baubles base. She chose a clear transparent base because she already has an idea of what she’s about to do. Her plan is to cut up letters of her first name and hang them inside the baubles for all to see in the Christmas tree. Thankfully her name is only 3 letters so she would only need to make 3 baubles. She cut up some brown paper in the shape of her name, starting with a P, then an E, and lastly an A. Her plan is to hang the letter inside the clear ball and also fill it with fake snow and glitter to add a little pizzazz.
After several minutes of crafting, she finally finished with her ornament and hang it in the center of the big Christmas tree in the great hall. She is so proud of herself to see her name plastered in the tree for all to see.
Just after she finished everything, she clean up and leave the great hall.

Winter was in an awfully jolly mood due to the amazing constant snow that somehow doesn't pile up it really would in the muggle world, but not just that! The mood in the entire school had livened up, the decorations lit up what used to be just plain dark hallways, as great as plain things are it's always good to add some spice to the mixture, change things up a bit.

Already having done the other decorating event, the cookie decorating one where she made a quite lovely gingerbread house and bear! She was sure that was her favorite so far but now there was another thing to focus on, ornament making. After entering the great hall and listening to the directions given by the prefect that was seemingly hosting it all she got straight to work. Call it art block but winter just couldn't figure out what to make..- she looked at the reference ornaments for a good while before an idea finally sparked in the back of her head.
Before she would forget it she got straight to it, grabbing a clear ornament that would soon become a work of art! she scanned all of the supplies before grabbing pipe cleaners, foam beads as well as tinsel, and a small piece of red card stock. She created snow by crushing the foam beads and cutting a bit of tinsel to give the snow an extra shine. she opened the top of the ornament, adding the snow with a grin. Her eyes caught some white glitter and she hesitated before adding a little bit to the mixture of supplies.
She created what seemed to be a perfectly shaped tree out of the pipe cleaners, a grin coming over her face, she was glad it was all going her way unlike things had done normally. She folded the card stock into a miniature box before making a bow out of the strand of yellow ribbon that had been laying on the table, tieing it around the box cautiously so that she didn't ruin it. It was a bit hard to get the objects into the ornament without messing anything up but somehow winter had managed it, thankfully! After scanning once more she noticed how much stuff was here, a few sets of fairy lights had stuck out, she grabbed them immediately, making sure they worked before carefully pushing them into the clear bulb.
''hmm-" she tied a red ribbon to the top of the ornament after closing it tightly, hanging it from her finger to get a good look at it. The glowing sphere came out better than expected and that just brightened winter's mood even more! She looked around the table to see what was nearby, she wanted to make another ornament perhaps one for her pup, xena! Yes it was probably silly to make something a dog cant even use or know exactly what it is but she couldn't help but think about her best friend!
Grabbing another clear bulb she simply filled it with balls of soft white cotton until it was at max capacity. once she had closed it she grabbed a cute blue ribbon, wrapping and tieing it firmly to the top of the ornament, letting it dangle as if it were a scarf. By this point anyone could tell what she was making, a cute little snowman ball! Whilst searching through what beads were left in the bunch near her she found a button, perfectly round and it was perfect. It took a bit of time but she eventually found three more buttons, throwing back one of them since she had only needed three in total. She glued the buttons to the front where the 'scarf' was hanging down. As she looked at the two creations she let a soft look come over her face, not only was she proud of herself but she was just so happy to be here, thankful even. She could only hope there were more events to come!!

He had come into the great hall, being a bit late but finding a seat sitting by someone that wasn't from Hufflepuff. Not minding though he was happy to sit somewhere. He grabbed some supplies but was stumped on what to do at first, so he looked at the options for making a bauble. Not being good at decorating usually. He grabs some glue and a foam ball. Deciding to make a Santa head with it. Getting some felt material stuff and scissors cutting on it to make it look like a hat. Gluing it to the top then getting some stuff to make glasses with making a pair of glasses. Then getting a bit of cotton material making a beard with it gluing it on to the ball but he got it stuck to his fingers.
Starting to get frustrated when that happened and getting upset when he sees Evelynn going by. Trying to get her attention for some help before he loses his temper or something. Waiting for her to come over to him. The ball being stuck to his hand, fingers and he can't get it to come off he doesn't want to ruin the work he had done so far. He looks at the ball Then at who he was sitting by in exasperation a bit. Not wanting to disturb them if he was with his temper. Apologizing to them for it with a look he gives them "Sorry, this is so frustrating though I hate glue. It always seems to get on me and mess me up. I have a short fuse at times when this kind of thing happens."
He tries to stay patient, but it was hard for him he hated the sticky glue and wanted to get the ball off his fingers. He started pulling on it but now it wouldn't budge so he gets mad at it making a frustrated sound that several people in the vicinity could hear him make. It being a sort of light growl sound.

The Christmas tree was beautiful.
Baubles adorned the tree, all magically diverse and beautiful in their own way. Some were plain, others had all kinds of decor and looked like it weighed a tonne. All made the Chrfismas tree look like the best thing Simon had ever seen. Which was saying a lot, considering that he had high standards for everyone and everything. But it was just so nice, and since he messed up on his Christmas cookie, he may as well make up for it by making a bauble and putting it on the highest part of the tree. He had never completed one before- he tried making one last Christmas, but as of all things related to Christmas and decor, it got messed up. He had been decorating a Christmas bauble when it broke in his hand, slicing his skin. His mom had told him that it was because Simon was squeezing it too hard, but he knew that wasn’t true- he had been holding it as carefully as he could. The bauble was just too fragile- hopefully these ones weren’t.
Simon went to the table, which, much like the other one, had plenty of things useful for baubles- and like the other one, he immediately went for the purple colour and some white faux snow for the inside, even though with the idea he had in mind, no one would be able to see it.
He carefully placed some glue on the clear bauble. He figured he would try something simpler- half yellow, half purple. He popped open the cap of the glitter (not all the way, he wasn’t going to mess up this time) and sprinkled it like how you would with table salt.
While he wanted for his bauble to dry, he walked around and watched all the others make their baubles. He saw the girl who had messed up his bauble and wrinkled his nose. Her bauble didn’t look that bad, admittedly. But she had caused him to mess up his cookie, so he definitely was not going to say that to her.
He walked up to a girl who had made some very nice Christmas baubles- one with a tree and a present, and another that was more plain but was decorated like a snowman. He smiled at her. “Your bauble looks very nice.” Of course, Simon knew that his bauble would turn out better- it always did, unless somebody decided to mess things up.
When he figured that his bauble was dry, he walked over and took out a small charm that his mother had given him- a star charm with a golden clasp, and walked over to the tree to hang it near the top, using a step stool to do so. He grinned, satisfied with his work, then took out his Polaroid camera to take a picture to send to his friend Bruno later. And with that, he skipped out of the Great Hall, singing Christmas carols to himself and smiling.
Simon has left the thread.

It was really quite remarkable just how creative the students were. Most of those in attendance, she recognized as first years from this year's sorting celebration. With the exception of Gryffindor students, or those who'd made some sort of lasting impression for for better or worse, their names had long-since escaped her for the most part. Still, their faces would be ingrained in varying degrees of clarity for the years to come, detail ascribed with every subsequent interaction. But it wasn't at the faces that she silently marvelled as she quietly passed up and down the lengths of the benches, black school robe whispering against the stone floor with every languid step. No, it was their creativity.
Student after student, seat after seat, seemed to put on bright display a fresh take on the activity and a renewed reserved of aptitude. The variety of baubles was quite something, and the ease which which the students seemed to put them together... one might think the school had taken in nothing but muggleborn wixen whose childhoods had been stocked to the brim with crafting activities that challenged them to finesse their manual dexterity and improvised artistic vision. A faint smile tugged at the corners of her lips. Even if only a small fraction of the participants decided to donate a decoration to the barren trees in the small hall, they would gleam with an enviable beauty for the whole school to see.
Or... perhaps she had spoken too soon? The raising of a hand in her peripheral vision had tugged at her attention and she turned to set her sights on the form of a young boy in visible distress. Flailing his hand about, it was quickly clear to see why. Somehow, it seemed he had managed to get a bauble stuck to himself. Gliding on hastened steps through the collection of seated bodies, Evelynn wove her way to the boy, brows pinched and lips pursed.
"Are you quite alright?" she uttered in a voice low enough to avoid the attraction of unwanted attention while also presenting an aura of calm. His low growls of frustration had not at all been lost on her. "It seems you've gotten yourself in rather a predicament," she empathized, gaze flicking to his stuck fingers. "Do you mind?" A hanging question to request permission to inspect his accidental handywork.
She would pluck and gently pry at his fingers to see just how stuck he had managed to get them to the bauble. Given how hard he had already tried to tug it free, however, she doubted repeating the same efforts would amount to a any sort of different conclusion. If Clifford allows her to touch his hands...
"Mn.." A thoughtful hum reverberated in her throat. "Are you quite sure you haven't made use of the sticking charm?" The teasing remark would be distinguished by the amiable—albeit subtle—shadow of a smirk. "I think I know just the thing." From the inside seam of her sleeve lining, Evelynn would pull free her wand, a well kept implement of a light-coloured polished wood with a minimalistic design. "Aer calidus," she recited, pointing the wand towards the boys' hand and adhered bauble. A steady flow of hot (not scalding) air would begin from the tip of her wand. Given the supplies in use weren't exactly anything fancy, the glue would be susceptible, eventually growing supple and pliant under the exposure to the heat.If he would not allow, or once she had already tried the above...
After a few minutes, he would be able to pry himself free of his accidental personal adornments. The moment he had, Evelynn would clip, "There," and stow away her wand. In doing so, she would ease herself to take a seat in in the chair next to his, pulling close to her one of the plastic empty baubles. "You are a first year, if I am not mistaken?" she inquired, attention drifting to the array of supplies. It wouldn't hurt to dally and make an ornament of her own while she diffused the situation, she rationalized. A bowl of dried petals and flower buds, a collection of twigs, and some miniature pine cones soon found themselves a place in front of her. "My name is Decipio, Evelynn Decipio," she greeted calmly, "although I suppose you might already have known that if you were among those already gathered at the start of the activity. Have you plans for the holidays?"

He was getting desperate it seeming that he was stuck very good to the bauble, and it had frustrated him a lot. Looking at her when she came over to him trying to calm down letting her touch his fingers, but he was afraid he had stuck himself to it permanently. Looking at her when she tried to get his fingers free also, having tried to get them free himself previously also. Looking up at her when she asked him if he used that spell. "No, I don't know that spell to use it. I don't use any spells really yet." He was starting to calm down when she was using the hot air but he was not sure if it would work or not he trusting the older student since he figures she knew what she was doing. Seeing the bauble was starting to come loose then she cut it from his fingers.
Looking at his hands after they were free then at her when she sat by him nodding to her question . "Yes I am a first year." He smiled in a friendly way at her always being friendly looking at her robes seeing the Gryffindor colors wearing his also. "I am in Hufflepuff and I have already made a splash in the house, I don't know if it has gotten around the school what I did in the badger bungalow dorm which is not a boys dorm but I accidentally slept in a girls dorm on my first night here. Oh I am Clifford Johnson, you can call me Cliff if you want to everyone calls me Cliff that I know well mostly friends." He smiled nervously after mentioning what he did in the girls dorms, not sure how he managed to even get in the girls dorms in the first place.
He had really started off well at the school first that now this, he was really not doing well he sighs to himself feeling a little down. It feeling like he was just doing the worst he could so far. He just was so down from it all. Though he was trying to look on the bright side his dad would tell him to do that. He was sitting there watching her while she was making a bauble. Picking up his own deciding to carefully put some finishing touches on it too. Looking at it happily after he had finished with it though it was a little messed up in spots. "I might stay over the holidays since my parents will be working and Hexiba will not be around to watch me like usually would be when I was younger."

Clothes-
Victoria took one last look at herself in the mirror. She was wearing classic clothes. She was now ready for the new event. Her friend Amy called out to her, "You're beautiful, Vic, can we go to the event now?" Victoria smiled at her friend's impatient expression, and together they went to the event space in the great hall.
Victoria saw a lot of people trying to make tree ornaments and she had a plan in mind. She and her friend sat at an empty table. Amy got a white foam ball while Victoria got a clear ball. Victoria looked at the ball carefully and got to work.
Victoria punched a hole in the ball. She popped small foam balls into it and placed a candle. She enchanted the candle and kept it always burning. Then she started to cut different shapes from paper. She glued the animal face she created to the ball and gave it a cute look with a pom-pom ball.
Victoria was not satisfied. She thought it was plain, but it was too plain, she. She shaped the glittery papers into cones and created a Christmas hat with the help of cotton. After making the final edits she was done, it was really sweet!
Victoria looked at her friend's ball happily, hers was beautiful too. Amy had put deer patterns on the white ball. When Victoria saw the deer, she had an idea, and she decided to add deer antlers to her ball. After adding it, her ornament was fully formed.

As well as the now familiar excited chatter about the upcoming festivities, there was new talk about the upcoming and related craft activity in the great hall floating around as she ate her dinner. Scarlet had decorated baubles before, well one, she made one to look like her family's owl, there was at least a slight resemblance, or so at least she thought.
She decided she would give it another go, she would however be staying away from recreating any kind of animal though. She spent the time between dinner and heading back to the hall for the activity, in her common room, she was taking the chance to catch up with some other students before the winter break. After a quick change of clothes into something more comfortable for bauble making, she made her way back from the dungeons.
The hall looked ready for an influx of students, which appeared there already was, waiting to get started with their crafts, baubles, of course, so many baubles lined the sides of the hall, ready to picked out and decorated. She quickly skipped over the helpings of popcorn dotted about the place, as much as she liked the way it tasted, she hated actually eating it, so just avoided it altogether.
By the time Scarlet had arrived it looked as though many of the students were well into decorating their baubles, a couple she had actually passed were leaving the having after having presumably already finished. She herself down at a randomly chosen table with a clear platsic bauble she had chosen for herself, her plan was to go for a christmassy Slytherin design. First she grabbed two bottles of glitter, one silver and one green, she poured small, equal amount of each into the bauble and, after fixing the metal cap back on, gave it a little shake to mix the two colours.
Scarlet was a fan of more simplistic, but still elegant designs, so only needed a squeezy bottle of silver glitter glue to finish her design. She proceeded to draw on snowflakes of varying size onto the bauble's clear surface, and filled other bits of space with small dots of the silver liquid, to resemble stars.
She had already decided that she wanted her bauble to have a place on one of the rather empty looking Christmas trees in the hall, and so once she had finished, made her way towards the one that seemed to have less baubles on so far, and carefully hung her bauble in the middle of a gap in the decorations. She decided not to hand around for too long after, and after saying thanks to the prefect that had organised the event, slipped back out of the hall.

Christmas swept through the castle like a blizzard. Every corridor, classroom, staircase, and even the suits of armor around the castle were decorated with some sort of Christmas accessory. Students gossiped about who was seen kissing under mistletoes, what they would do over holiday, and who got who gifts. Everyday some sort of activity was taking place, and today after supper it would be bauble crafting. Not exactly a forte of Oliver’s (never passed a muggle art class), but he would go nonetheless.
Much like the first week of school, Oliver would show up late. It was his own fault for trusting himself to lay down after supper, but better late than never. Strolling into the Great Hall a Gryffindor prefect greeted him, “Hello, okay thanks.” He returned politely as she directed him to the table with the crafts. With three choices as the base, and an amount of crafts that would rival a muggle elementary school the possibilities were endless.
For a second the Hufflepuff closed his eyes and tried to create an image an his head of the ornament he would create. After giving it some thought he reached out and grabbed the clear bauble, and tossed it gently between his hands. It only took a second for him to figure out what he would need for his project; a couple pipe cleaners, colored sand representing each Hogwarts house, and some fairy lights.
Having everything he needed to get started, Oliver made his was over to an empty chair next to a silver haired Hufflepuff. The girl had already finished one ornament and was eagerly filling another one with cotton balls. “That looks really good” He said pointing at her ornament. He could visibly see the fun she was having and it fired him up.
Not wanting to waste another second he popped open his bauble and got to work. First was the placement of lights at the bottom of the clear ball, and then he began burying it in a sea of red sand. He would lay another set of fairy lights on top of the red sand and proceed to bury these ones now in the green sand. A process he would repeat until he topped it off with yellow sand.
It wasn’t until he was finished did he realize he didn’t use the pipe cleaners. Still the young badger was proud of his simple creation. Each layer glowed from within and gave off a vibrant color of each represented house. He planned on hanging the ornament on one of the small trees in the hall so a Hogwarts theme was fitting.
