Just as it would see that the smoke was about to clear Everly would once again cast Fumos breathing new life into the smog that hung over their Piste. Something that Lamik would now take full advantage of. Not only did he send the blazing blue energy of Flipendo from his wand but just moments after leaving it, the light would split into two, heading toward each Ravenclaw.
Cade would send back his own Incendio in response, but both boys were determined not to be hit this round. Cade would effortlessly avoid the incoming Flipendo, and while Lamik would feel the heat of Cade’s incendio, he was not at risk of being burned.
Lily unfortunately seemed to freeze up or, perhaps, she had been prepared to try and dodge, but if that were the case, it had not done her any good here. A passive attempt was made to move out of the way, but Lamik’s Flipendo would land home a solid blow to the girl.

It was as if Everly had read his mind. Just as the smoke had almost faded, a new blanket covered the stage. Their advantage was still in place, giving Lamik the confidence he needed to pull out the big gun. He had learned the trick over the past year- if you emphasize the syllables in just the right way, flick your wand at just the right speeds, and happen to be lucky, you can make your spells do pretty wild things. The effect he had mastered was one which allowed him to aim at more then one person at a time.

Everly held out her wand to recast Fumos again, new smoke billowing from her wand in place of the old that had been rapidly disappearing, trying to maintain the upper hand that she and her partner had. Her vision was fogged up once more, although her spell hadn’t been as powerful as it had been the first time, she would hope that it would still prove sufficient enough to be another barrier for the Ravenclaws once more.

Watching as Lamik expertly evaded it and just managed himself to sidestep his flipendo. And he would groan aloud when he noticed Lamik managed to attack Lily as well. Turning his attention on Everly, Cade would visibly deflate several inches. He knew their chances were sapped the moment Everly started defusing more smokescreen. Cade really didn't want to see the satisfaction on her face as she opened a chocolate frog. That was his victory... And nodding over at Lily he would give a confident remark. "Lets do it!"

Santario would watch curiously as the duel continued onward; it would look like Ravenclaw were ready to target where they thought Lamik was, but in the end, they fired no spells. Perhaps it was a tactic to try and through off Gryffindor when they intended to dodge? Lily would manage to just barely manage to lean out of the way of the Flipendo headed her way. Cade would simultaneously be just as lucky as he dodged Everly’s well cast Flipendo, but not Lamik’s. Cade would be hit squarely in the chest and be sent flying backward, likely unconscious before he even hit the ground. Thankfully the smoke cleared once more.
“HALT!” Santario commanded as she strode quickly across the Piste to where Cade lay. She knelt down, giving him a look over to make sure that he was unconscious… Helpless… He smelled delicious… But there was a crowd. This was not the time nor the place to think about eating another student. “Medics!” She called out as she forced herself to stand up and retake her position.
While waiting for the medics to fully clear the field, she looked at Lily “Do not give up just yet. Luck may still be on your side.” She wasn’t rooting for either of the teams; she just hated watching people quit if they didn’t have to. Some people could still get lucky, and you never knew when it would decide to favor the underdog. The moment the medics cleared the field with Cade, Santario gave a nod to the duellists. “You may continue.”

Sweeping quickly to the side he just managed to evade the spell, but no way did he see Lamik aim towards him. The light slammed into his chest, taking the Ravenclaw's breath with it. Weightlessness came to him as he was thrown into the air, numbing his entire body as his eyes fell shut taking him into darkness.

She felt incredibly, incredibly guilty.
Everly had been knocked out before in a duel and seen it happen many times, but never had she been on the other side before. She hadn't cast the final blow, but this felt both exciting - it was happening for the first time ever - and at the same time she had a pit in her stomach. Everly couldn't see Cade, but she could hear the thud of his body as Lamik's Flipendo hit him squarely and Santario's voice as she called out for the duel to pause. She'd have to find Cade later after the duel and apologize profusely.
Well. One down, one to go.
