Benched for yet another game. Alexx was beginning to feel she would never reach the sky again. Although knowing it was her own doing, she couldn't help but be bitter and have a sort of resentment for her teammates. All Alexx wanted was to fly again. At the worst times, she truly was her own worst enemy. This year confirmed that time and time again. Alexx despised her team and herself and every piece of wood she saw shooting through the sky.

Did Thomas possess the capability to be a gentleman? Sure he did, anyone could achieve this status through a series of simple acts. A gentleman maintains an outward respect for those around them, with manners present in both speech and actions. To appear as a gentleman, you need only be mindful of watchful eyes and act accordingly. Do this, finish your sentences with sir and ma'am and a class act you will likely be...
Thomas was conditioned to know and demonstrate these behaviors when he must, his mother made it so. Though as his lips have loosened, Thomas began to crave the reactions speaking the worst of his mind can provide. A developmental trait for many young narcissists, the grimaces of the offended brought the boy a unique comfort.
Flash Holmwood was on a specialized list, conditionally depending on the merit of Thomas' accusations. The title of this list, the long con. Thomas viewed it as a karmic reaction that his helping hand would materialize. Though at its core, it came down to revenge and understanding. Having grown tired of the many approaching strangers that knew of Thomas' most intamite dealings, yet not a shred of authentic understanding for the position he was in, or his choices to arrive there. Nothing got to Thomas quite like the many judging eyes of his peers, distantly watching which way his legs would travel next.
Having attained this infamous spotlight, Thomas began to wear his truth on his sleeves in unapologetic fashion. As Slytherin's club filed out from their locker room, Thomas deviated from the starters with the other wood polishers, and approached their team's bench. The aforementioned Flash Holmwood called to him, perhaps using Thomas as a shield against chatty teammates.
Thomas was never one for idle chatter or small talk. He would rarely speak in general, unless spoken to. And the responses his listener would receive were short and direct. Though with Flash, there was an end to achieve. Thomas would be he who deemed necessary to accomplish his goals. The silver lining to the specialized stage drama program his mother placed him during adolescence. "Yes to the second part." Thomas took a seat next to Flash, eyeing the boy he desired to avoid. Rainwood remained quiet, perhaps focused on other ideals.
"If he does approach, I offer no protection." Thomas stated his stance as no more than a barrier between ill tidings. His eyes traveled to the preparing team, traditionally a time to square away your gear and broom, though Erin Ryan assumed her practice role of the enforcer. Though her heckles lacked in quality, you'd think four plus years would provide one with more ammunition than Ravenclaw nerd jokes. Then again, Erin was more likely to overdose on creatine than form an intelligent insult. Thomas would watch on in subdued amusement, waiting for the game to begin.

Briefly mentioning/interacting with @Cecily Quinn, @Bloom Silverton, and @Jorah Moussa (as well as the rest of the Ravenclaw team).
Aly Salinger could not have been more disappointed in herself.
Her very first game as the Ravenclaw Keeper against Gryffindor earlier in the year, the curly-haired Ravenclaw had spent more time going after the Quaffle than actually guarding the goal posts, and because of that, she'd been scored on. Multiple times. Then she'd been taken out by a Bludger and plummeted to the ground below, landing on a fallen Beater (Jorah) from her own team, which had been pleasant for neither of them. (That had certainly made practices a bit awkward, at least from Aly's perspective.) And then, to top it all off, her team had lost to Gryffindor... and Aly had been demoted to second-string Keeper.
It was her fault; she had been distracted at practices, even missing some to focus on her studies, and hadn't been the active first-string Keeper that Ravenclaw deserved, and so Aly knew she deserved the demotion. At least she hadn't been taken off the team entirely, and was still able to join the Ravenclaw bench as a second-string player, her Comet 180 clutched in her pale hands.
They were even paler than usual as she held the broom's polished wood in her tight, white-knuckled grip. After all, somehow, being second-string was more terrifying than being a first-string player! How had Bloom done it last time, watching her teammates walk onto the field, calmly having to sit by in case of disaster?
Aly was too much of a worrywart for this. She clutched her broom even tighter, for a moment, unsure if she could sit by and watch this match, knowing that if something happened to Bloom, responsibility would come to rest squarely on her thin shoulders.
But then she squared those shoulders, a rush of courage coursing through her. Bloom would be fine. She was a capable fourth-year, two years older than Aly herself, and she'd done a bang-up job when Aly had gotten injured during the previous match. I've got every faith in her, she assured herself as she joined her fellow benched second-string players on the Ravenclaw side. Just because we lost to Gryffindor doesn't mean we can't win this game!
Her eyes caught upon a few of her teammates as they arrived on the pitch and mounted their brooms, ready to play; noticing the team captain Cecily look the way of the benched second-string players and Aly herself, the bubbly second-year couldn't help but give an excited little wave, a smile breaking out across her freckled face. The breeze picked up slightly as she did so, but this time, Aly had remembered to tie her curls back before even arriving at the stadium. Shaking her head slightly so that even the ponytail wouldn't whip into her face, she waved a little harder, pumped her fist once, and shouted out towards her teammates on the field, "Wooo! Go Ravenclaw!"

Green and blue streaked across the sky as Slytherin and Ravenclaw Quidditch Players entered the pitch. It was the perfect day for a match and one of the final matches of the season at that. Slight overcast, cool breeze coming in from the north, and warm temperate weather. What a day to be alive and the crowd seemed to agree. The stands were packed and full of excited spectators all cheering for their respective teams.
As each player entered the pitch in their own unique fashion. Some noticeable or notorious faces entered the field that got a bundle of various reactions. Such as the always intriguing and rather beautiful Erin. To name one. There was a competitive tension in the air and an unnerving aura that permeated the pitch as was commonplace in these games now. It was just about game time, each team looking ready to go. The crowd looking ready for what was no doubt to be an intense match. Afterall, when it came to these quidditch matches, anything was possible.

At the blow of the whistle all parties are off. Tyranni and Thora immediately go for the quaffle with the resident Dhamphir of Slytherin, Nico, hanging back just in case. These games could be chaotic and fast-paced who knew when someone might fall. All of Ravenclaw's chaser: Cecily, Valencia, Lavinia. Broke off in formation heading for a different target leaving Tyranni and Thora to compete for scores. It was a true show of the Slytherin's competitive the spirit. The two excellent chasers were seemingly neck and neck. Slytherin's co-captain, Tyranni, ebbing out with one more quaffle grab then her fellow teammate Thora.
Boy, was it spectacular! Tyranni flew at breakneck pace towards the goal. Bloom ever the focused one, looked a bit nervous but rather determined in her position as keeper. Unfortunately, Tyranni was just a bit more tricky to deal with and had a little more experience on her side. Even if just a by a small amount the quaffle slipped by the young keeper. An echoing Dong! rang out followed by the announcement, "Ten points for Slytheirn!" that would possibly set the tone for the rest of the match.
Unfortunately, for Bloom this would seem to be the case. The two experienced chasers of Slytherin nailed the next two goals. The echoing dong and announcement ringing around the pitch twice more. The young keeper just wasn't having it on this day it seemed. Perhaps unnerved or nervous to prove herself she was making mistakes she shouldn't have. Whatever the reason the fact of the matter was that this keeper let 3 successful goal attempts through. No doubt a bit unnerving but certainly not something that can't be corrected. The game is still young afterall!

Meanwhile, elsewhere on the pitch something a bit more intense and akin to a battle was raging. Ravenclaw was taking a rather aggressive approach against the prevailing snakes who were no doubt still riding their high from besting the previously undefeated badgers. Gabriella was the first to make a move in this fray. Nervous and seemingly unproven, this little raven had one goal in mind. With a respectable whack! of the bludger she set her sights on Slytherin's resident Dhamphir, Nico. At first it appeared as if it would strike true, but Nico was not to be underestimated. She was a rather agile and tricky one to nail. While close the bludger sailed past this determined and experienced chaser.
Not one to leave things cooling for long. The exciteable and confident Jorah followed up Gabriella's excellent attempt with one of his own. Boy was it a doozy at that. With a powerful whack! the young raven sent the bludger careening towards the Dhamphir. It looked like she wouldn't be able to dodge in time, but at the last second she amazingly managed to do just that. A hair's breath away from scarlet red hair the bludger soared past her well-timed dodge. So close, but things were just heating up.
Around the same time the trio of chasers were in formation performing a move that had seen increased play recently. In a daring play, Cecily and Valencia had closed in on the daunting powerhouse of Slytherin, Erin. A formidable player matched in strength by few others, but known for her less than subtle way of play and rather impressive takedowns. Her window to evade was closing as she was being boxed in on both sides. With an equally daring Lavinia who came rocketing from above straight towards Erin. She seemed unphased by Erin's alluring nature and despite the less than ideal position she was placed in. This slippery snake managed to avoid being knocked off her broom from clever but ultimately failed blatch.
Despite being a rather elusive and agile player herself. Lavinia could not avoid the eyes of the always alert and observant referree. Despite her agility and subtlety, it could not be avoided. She was caught.
"Lavinia Cloven! Penalty lap for attempted blatching!"
In seeming retaliation, Erin set her sights on someone she could reasonably deem a threat. With a deafeningly, horrendous whack! her bludger sailed through the air with incredible force. Striking its target true with a sickening crack. Jorah found himself knocked clean off his broom and falling like a lead weight for the ground. The terrifying Slytherin had struck her target true and gotten a little payback along the way. What an exciting exchange so far, who knew how this match would proceed. Right now though it wasn't looking too good for Ravenclaw.

Dan ever the lucky and highly observant seeker. Perhaps, thanks to a relatively uninterrupted time. The young captain was able to scan the pitch looking for his prize, and boy did he find it. It didn't take too terribly long and with his keen senses he spotted the prize in question. Sadly River did not share in his luck. Perhaps too distracted by all the alluring and beautiful faces that Slytherin possessed. Whatever it was it did her no favors in looking for the snitch. Which unfortunately meant that in nearly every aspect of this starting phase Slytherin had one upped them. They really were a team full of cheerleaders weren't they?

Interacting with the wizarding gods
The first round hurt both Aurora’s mind and soul. It did not look good at all, and a panic rush started to wash over her when one of the Ravenclaw’s beaters fell off from his broom. It’s time for her to face her potential death. She tried to communicate with whoever has the higher power to control the quidditch game in the wizarding world and attempted to talk heart to heart with the gods
Dear, the wizarding gods
It’s me, Aurora, and her rickety school broom. What’s up, how are ya?
You know, I still have a long way ahead of me. This is my first year, first real quidditch match, and today, will be my first human sacrifices, not one, not two, but eleven, so the Ravenclaws will win no matter how many silver arrows on the opposing team.
I am calling the best quidditch player spirits to possess our brooms or something, I don’t know, make them act like firebolts. Just the Ravenclaws, though. For the other team, I am calling the worst Quidditch player ghosts to possess them until the match ended
There are roughly eleven people from the Slytherin team, both first string and second string. I, on behalf of the rest of the birds, happily sacrifice them all so we will win even though it seems impossible, do some magic and make it possible.
Thanks, bye! Love you wizarding gods

When her captain told her what she was doing, Lavinia wasn’t surprised. A Parkin’s Pincer was a typical move to play and could be very useful if done correctly. This time she was going to be blatching Erin Ryan who was a formidable Slytherin beater. Lavinia had heard many stories of her hits on bludgers knocking people to the hospital wing. This was why Erin needed to be out of the game now.
Lavinia was heading straight towards Erin and was so close to succeeding in her maneuver but was sadly unable to. Then the ref saw, and it was penalty lap time again for Lavinia. Another game led to another lap. Someday she would get better at hiding her blatches and other moves that warranted laps. It felt like it was just in spite because Erin hit a perfect bludger at Jorah and sent him spiraling to the ground. If only Lavinia had succeeded then maybe her teammate wouldn’t be off his broom.Action: Doing as strategized (Taking a very disappointing penalty lap)

Thomas seemed to agree, though his answer had a snarky bent. Despite the wretched mood he was in, Flash snorted a laugh in his closed mouth, covering up the smirk it gave him with his hand. Flash's wording had been intentionally over-the-top, in hopes it would clearly illustrate his position as the victim. He did not actually require Thomas to be a gentleman, only a meat shield. The humor was appreciated though, regardless of the fact that Thomas likely intended it more as a jab.
Flash sat on the opposite end of the bench, only two other between him and Rainwood. Thankfully, he appeared to have no interest in further antagonization. Thomas' assurance that he wouldn't defend him brought out another stifled chuckle. "Right, we both know you'd rather I take the hits for you." Flash watched him out of the corner of his eye, as he was curious whether it would stir any reaction in Thomas. He possibly didn't even remember all the details from the fight club at this point. It felt like it had been a fever dream, like it hadn't even happened. Yet Victor Moore died there. That much was very real.
Flash would sigh wistfully as he joined Thomas in watching the field, his heart just not in it that day. To be quite honest, he had seen Ravenclaw's last match and more than anything felt sorry for them. They were the underdogs, scrappy even, but the house of birds seemed to have trouble with finding and keeping competitively viable players. Comparatively, Slytherin had a real chance at getting first place for the entire year. It was possible that this was going to be a bloodbath, in a manner of speaking. His assessment would only prove true as everything the eagles seemed to throw at them missed its mark. It was almost hard to watch.
"This will probably be a short match." Flash continued, not exactly entertained by the match this time around. He remembered that Thomas wasn't exactly friendly the last time they talked, but he hoped he might provoke him into saying something amusing again. "Then I can go back to having nothing to look forward to."
Flash sat on the opposite end of the bench, only two other between him and Rainwood. Thankfully, he appeared to have no interest in further antagonization. Thomas' assurance that he wouldn't defend him brought out another stifled chuckle. "Right, we both know you'd rather I take the hits for you."
