As another column of flame roared out of her wand, Cel saw the other team's oncoming offensives barrel past the two of them once again—good: she'd practiced dueling half-blind before, but it definitely wasn't an experience she would prefer to have again.

With some level of satisfaction, she saw both her and Mars's spells land on the same target. Sneezing and fire did not seem to be very comfortable combined. She would've felt sorry if she hadn't been winning. "Looks like you're having enough fun," she called over her shoulder with a grin, and twisted her sleeve cuff out of the way.

Mars let out a small whoop of joy as they watched both theirs and Cel's spells hit their target. The expression of excitement on their face quick morphed into a wince as the flames erupted, the poor Hufflepuff girl sneezing up a storm.

"Sorry!" they called, half sincere, "At least your teammate's not on fire anymore?" Shaking their head, they shot a grin back at Cel.

"I guess it'll do..." they sighed, trying to sound bored, an effect wholly unsold by the way their eyes lit up and wand slowly slid back into casting position. They loved duelling too much sometimes.

Once again their spells failed to hit their mark. And once again, it was flames and boogers everywhere. It felt like someone had spilt pepper or paprika right into Maria’s nose – like an itch she needed to scratch. A sneeze barreled through her as the feeling settled in, and she only kept sneezing. She could hear Mars’ half-hearted apology. It only made her grit her teeth. Soon she felt a headache coming on. Whether it was from the Sneezing Hex or their continued bad luck, she wasn’t sure.

Alan would have to retract his previous thoughts, nothing he had seen this duel was as painful to watch as this moment. Both of the Hufflepuffs would do their best to dodge what was going to be thrown at them and Alan could see that they really tried. But it was no more than mere tries as the Ravenclaws shown no mercy for the badgers and aimed with precision. So it led to Maria having to fight control over her body as it forced her into a chicken dance, whereas Elisabeth was hit by a nasty Knockback jinx, robbing her breath as her eyes fluttered close and Alan could only watch as she collapsed, cringing at the sight. He could only imagine the nasty bruise that would form where she had been hit, as a medical team rushed in to retrieve her from the stage and lead the girl to get first aid in the medical wing. Alan hoped she was alright, but forced himself to focus on the still standing duelists.

Simple and sweet—the knockback jinx went hurtling out of her wand right towards is target, knocking the Hufflepuff girl out clean. Well, she couldn't say she'd expected that in one hit, but she was already looking pretty faint on her feet—fire tended to do that to you, after all.

On her other side, her partner fired a Tarantallegra out in the other direction. Briefly she smiled: they'd come far enough from making skeleton keychains dance, the curse was a lethal one used correctly, and they seemed to have hit it just right. Now with only one opponent left, Cel spared herself a moment to give Mars an appreciative whistle at the successful cast, then moved her attention back on track. "Ready?"

Mars' grin was hurting their face by now.

"Two in a row!" they whooped. They turned to see Cel's Knockback Jinx make a clean hit as well, sending the small Hufflepuff tumbling to the floor.

Their smile fell slightly as she didn't move, the bustle of the waiting crew ringing in their ears. They looked to the other Hufflepuff still standing, still sneezing up a storm as her body contorted in uncomfortable-looking shapes. "Maybe we shouldn't have tried so hard..." they mused.

But it was too late by now. Flashing a small ok sign at their partner, they replied, "Always am." Time to finish this.
