A Magical Start.

Adonis listened carefully while she talked, trying not to get distracted. ``I used to walk everywhere in my town, or ride a bike. only ridden the bus a few times, and its the worst.`` although he was talking about how he didn't enjoy it, he still seemed very happy. The words coming from his mouth did not match the way he said it. ``well it wasn't that bad. I heard glasgow is really pretty. My mum used to live there i think never got to go since its like half an hour away.``

He chuckled a bit with her, at her story on how she was scared of cars. ``Wait, you're scared of cars? wow, i've never heard that before!`` he took a few second and realized that was a bit rude. ``sorry, didn't mean to come off like im making fun of ya. i'm a pretty big scaredy cat myself, so i don't have room to talk.`` He wasn't lying either. he jumps at almost anything . He's pretty good at hiding his fear though.``especially snakes. those buggers freak me out.`` Adonis does a fake shiver than giggles. `` any reason in particular of why your 'fraid of cars?``

"Glasgow isn't exactly pretty in the city, it's a bit dirty and stinky but it is quite nice, and there's Buchanan bust station so it's not hard for me to get to," she said in response to what he said at first. "Wait, you're scared of cars? wow, i've never heard that before!" Adonis said before quickly apologising, explaining that he didn't mean to come across as rude. She laughed when he said he was afraid of snakes, Lillian actually quite liked snakes, her cousins used to have one. Then, Adonis asked if there was any particular reason why.

"Well, I'm not exactly afraid of cars, I'm more afraid of being in them...For example if I'm walking on the pavement next to the road it's fine but if I'm in a car I really can't handle it," she laughed, slightly nervous. To be honest, she was unsure if she should tell Adonis the truth. The story was quite dark, and she was having fun, she didn't want to bring the mood down. She began to fiddle with her thin, long fingers, cracking them and pulling on them slightly. "Well I...When I was younger it's just..I was in an accident so...Yeah um...An-And I lost my dad in the accident so...I just get a little worried, that's all. It seems awfully silly, doesn't it?" She laughed but it was in a nervous tone. She was worried about what Adonis would say. She didn't want him to feel bad or anything, she especially didn't want him to apologise. "I don't know, don't worry about it...I shouldn't have brought it up."

He was pretty surprised when she said glasgow was stinky. actually, not really. He kinda put it on a high pedestal. He also laughed with her when she laughed at the whole snake thing. thats fair, most snakes wont even harm you. Adonis just thought they were creepy.

His brain went into a small panic, thinking he upset her. He didn't want to drive her away since he is pretty nosey.``Its fine! completely understandable.`` he did feel pretty bad for asking, but he covered it with a warm reassuring grin.`` That's not silly at all. That's more rational than my fear of snakes. i just don't like their tongues . yuuck.`` He laughs a bit. ``if you ever need to talk about it just let me know. ``

Adonis got the hint that her dad died, hes not that dumb. He's gonna try hard not to bring it up, either. Don't want to hit a sore spot. He put is bag in an empty compartment.
``this'll do i think?`` he shrugged and roughly pushed his bag in further.

Truthfully, Lillian was relieved when he was okay with dropping the subject. She was just afraid of making him uncomfortable or things getting awkward. "this'll do i think?" he said, pushing his bag in further. She nodded and put hers in the compartment next to his, "Now our bags'll be friends, just like us," she joked, giggling like a little girl right after.

"I think it's perfectly reasonable to be afraid of snakes, they aren't portrayed like very nice creatures. But you know, my cousins used to have a snake called Amos, and he was very kind and quite cute," she laughed, reminiscing on the memories of her family back in China, "My auntie was terrified of him...But it's a shame I didn't get to see him more, I hate how China is so far away. But I must say I do adore living in Scotland." She smiled.

"Have you ever been anywhere other than Scotland? Do you have family in any other places?" She asked. Lillian was beginning to feel like she was talking too much and not giving him a chance to speak, so she thought that by asking him more questions he might feel more included. She had never spoken this much around anyone other than her family.

"Now our bags'll be friends, just like us," He gave out a loud chuckle, and even snorting a tiny bit. He listened to her talk about the snake and snickered at her calling it cute. `` i guess i could always give snakes a chance.`` probably not, though.

``I've never really been out of scotland about a month ago. i went to london and uhh...diagon ally? i'm really bad with names. The rest of my family kinda doesn't talk to us. just my dad, mum and me!`` kind of a sad thing, but he still seemed pretty cheery. ``Apparently when my mum married my dad , her family just disowned her. a bit dramatic i think!` he gave a warm hearty chuckle.``Eh doesn't matter anyways, My mum said they were stuck up anyways. wouldn't of liked me.`` He rubbed the back of his head.

``your family sounds pretty large. i'm an only child. You have siblings or anything?`` He stopped rubbing his head . ``i always wanted a brother, but eh.``

Lillian felt a little sorry for him when he said that his family wouldn't have liked him. He was a sweet boy, even she struggled to dislike him, and she didn't like very many people. Then, he asked if she had siblings and she perked up.

"Yes, I have two siblings, a brother and a sister, they're twins. We actually have different dads - my stepdad is their dad - but obviously we have the same mother." she giggled a little, thinking of her goofy younger siblings, "their names are Isla and Finn...But you know, a lot of people think we aren't related because of how we look which makes me a little sad. Here in the UK my mum is the only person I know that really looks like me but she's way older than me so it's not like I'm friends with her, you know?" she stopped talking quite abruptly, "sorry I feel like I'm just ranting and dumping all of my problems on you." Usually when Lillian gets nervous she talks very fast-paced and quite a lot. She didn't know what it was, but she was starting to feel nervous all over again and she began twirling her hair.

She sighed, looking around and then focusing on Adonis again, "wh-what about you? Do you think you look a lot like either of your parents?"

"sorry I feel like I'm just ranting and dumping all of my problems on you." He stumbled over his words? ``w-what? oh you're not at all, don't be sorry! He noticed she started twirling her hair. he stared at her doing that while she spoke.

"wh-what about you? Do you think you look a lot like either of your parents?" he thought for a moment. ``not really, i mean my facial feature are closer to my dads. apparently this ginger hair is an every-other-decade thing. my mom has brown hair and my dad has blonde hair.`` he giggled. ``my hairs the curliest in the family.`` he did a proud little bounce and a fake hair flip.

he took a moment to think. He was trying to make her feel better. ``is your mom a witch, or -`` he tried to refrain from saying dad . ``your step dad? or both? mine was my mum. `` He kinda regretted bringing that up, because it might somehow lead him into talking about the incident, how he found out about the magic stuff.

She giggled when he flipped his hair, and for a moment she went to touch his hair but she stopped herself. She also had the curliest hair in her family, but her hair was pretty straight with just a few ringlets. Then he asked her which of her parents was the magic one before telling her for him it was his mum.

"For me it was my mum, I don't think my dad had anything to do with it. Actually, funny story my stepdad and siblings don't know that I'm going to Hogwarts. My mum told them that I got a scholarship to a boarding school for secondary school and then dropped me off herself so they wouldn't know...It's a good thing I told my mum about my first use of magic before anyone else." She smiled a little and sighed. She didn't feel that nervous anymore, as telling the story made her smile a little which made her feel better.

"By the way, if you don't mind me asking, what was it like the first time you accidentally used magic out of school or whatever? It seems to be really random with everyone so it'll be interesting to see."

This is one of the only times he actively stopped smiling, and it went to a small frown. only for a few seconds though. "it was a bit of a burst of anger thing..i uh- was delivering a big last minute order of lemon tarts and the guy slammed the door on me.. i got real mad and a whole bunch of them exploded and flew off the tray. Ive never even got that mad before..its kinda lame too. My mom said hers was real magical n stuff. Mine just made a mess. i even had to clean off the guys door, While he YELLED AT ME!“ he laughed , while grinding his back teeth.“after that i wasnt allowed yo deluver or take baking orders.“
he bit his fist again.
He didnt understand why he was so upset about sharing it. Adonis just thinks other people's will be better. His mother was very open about her past magical expierences, and his father didnt mind much. He thought most of it was fake till adonis’s tart incident happened

he took his fist out of his mouth and gave another smile. "what was yours?"

She gasped out of excitement and giggled after he told her the story, "Oh my goodness, mine is so boring and yours is so funny...I wish mine was as interesting as yours." She smiled and thought about her boring first magic incident.

"Well, I really love reading, it's a big passion of mine, you know? Another fun fact about me is that I can play piano. So basically, when I was younger and I was learning piano, I wanted to play it and read at the same time. I thought that there would be no way for it to work unless I played and read with one hand. So I opened my book and started reading and the piano started playing by itself. When I told my mum she just smiled at me which confused me a little but I get it now." She laughed a little, "so yeah, not as funny as yours, just a little bit boring." She nodded. Then she began to wish that she was still at home playing piano for her younger siblings and parents to dance along to as she sang some lyrics to a silly little song she made up as she went.
