Ellie unwrapped her presents and Simon smiled, glad she seemed to like both his gift and his aunt's. His aunt's seemed to have more meaning now that she shared with him how her parents had kept journals of their Hogwarts years and here she was, about to soon embark on her own journey of the same.

Which house were the intellectual ones in? Raven....something. Maybe his friend would be placed there. Simon wondered where he would be. In just a couple week's time he would be going through the doors of what apparently was a castle and find out.

Simon explained to his aunt that Eleanore had gotten a letter like he had that morning and that she and her parents and grandmother were all part of that magical world that his mother was too. It was a good feeling because they could be like their personal guides to the wizarding world.

They all sat at the table in the kitchen table while her grandmother served more tea, talking about where the school was, what it would be like, the classes, and all sorts of other details. Simon was excited for it, but also a little nervous as well. He would be leaving behind everything except Ellie. At least he'd have her.
