Haley wondered what Simon had wished for, if he had wished for anything at all, but she didn't ask him, after all, one wasn't allowed to betray one's wish. And so she simply grinned at him and looked back up towards the sky. After a brief moment of silence, she turned her head back to Simon when he said her name. His words made her smile. Far too often he understood her without her having to say what she was worried about. And again he had the right words, as was so often the case. She nodded at him in agreement and looked down at her hands for a moment, embarrassed.

"Promise." She replied to his words with a pinky promise and a big smile formed on her lips. She couldn't have imagined this evening any better and was glad for the few hours she could spend with Simon under the stars today. But the evening was slowly coming to an end and that made Haley a little sad. But she knew all good things had to come to an end and so did this evening.

They spent the rest of the evening looking at the stars, telling each other about the shooting stars and trying to convince each other that it really was a shooting star. Haley laughed a lot and just as Simon claimed to have seen another one, she burst out laughing again. "Come on Simon, not again. We've probably counted three shooting stars from you that I'm sure you imagined!" She winked at him and playfully shook her head. And after Haley's words, a small but funny discussion broke out between the two of them, each trying to argue their point in the best way possible. At one point, Haley just laughed and gave up. "Okay, okay, we'll count these too."

But as quickly as this evening came, it ended just as quickly for the two of them and they had to leave the Astronomy tower. They were one of the few left and walked down the tower together to say goodbye to each other at the bottom of the stairs, as they would now part ways here. Haley would now go to the Gryffindor common room and Simon to the Hufflepuff common room. Before they parted ways for good, Haley gave Simon a quick kiss on the cheek and thanked him for a lovely evening, "Thanks, sleep well."
