Professor Appreciation Assemble
Second Letter
Thursday, Nov 5th 2020
The next time that the green eyes come to the classroom for the Professor Appreciation Assemble is when they just been let out from History of Magic. Cash tried not to dozed off when Professor Zahid explain his lesson. Cash come up to Alan and greet the fourth year. "Hey Alan!"They greeted the red head. Cash look down on Alan's Bengal and gave him a small smile.
Cash then took their previous sit that they took yesterday. The green eyes then took out a fresh parchment from inside their satchel bag and rolled it out. They dipped their quill into the blue ink and start writing for the next professor that come into their mind.
With the last words that had been written, Cash stood up and wipe the tears that rolled down on their face. They took a deep breath, fold the the letter, and put down their own personal stamp on the back of the envelope. Holding the letter in one hand and their other hand hold their bag.Dear Professor Jensen,
This errand that Alan's held reminded me of one of your errand several months ago. Remember the 'Love Note Leaver' one? I was one of the student that participated in that. I also took some participation for your other errands. Remembering those good memory put a smile on my face which these day come a bit hard for me.
The moment the Sorting Hat said I belong to the house of Noble - Slytherin - I know I will do great things in this house. I do not know if you know me since I am one your many students but I want to thank you for your kind and nurturing side when a bunch lot of us far away from home. You always make us, mainly me feel like home.
Whether in the castle itself or when I am in our Common Room. I know managing a lot of us (the misfits, the loners, the trouble-makers one) it was not an easy job to do but you done it with grace and patience. With this note I want to apology personally because the cauldrons explosion incident.
If I said I was the one that responsible for the cauldron explosion, what will my detention be?. To be honest Professor, I feel like there something shifting inside of me. Something if that being done wrongly, it will cost me greatly. I am hoping that you have a minute or two so I can tell you what it is then maybe you could shed a light on me, Professor Jensen.
To close this letter once again I want to say thank you for all you have done for this school and mainly as the Head of House for Slytherin.
I hope we can have that chat, Professor. Keep being you because you inspire me!
Best Regards,
Phoenix Cassandra Ironwoods
Cash put down the letter on the table. "Thank you, Alan. I really need this"Cash told the fourth year after they put the letter down. Telling their Head of the House the feeling that start brewing inside them, some how lessen the burden that they carry.

There was no doubt which professor Callista appreciated immensely. Who better to write a letter of appreciation to than the school librarian? Sitting in front of the desk, Callista wrote until the ink went dry, writing from her own thoughts, pulling feelings and fragments onto the page and moulding them into comprehensible sentences.

Dear Professor Finley,
Good morning, I hope I am not disturbing you. I would like to show my appreciation to you somehow, and sending a letter is the least I can do. The library is one of my personal favourite places at Hogwarts, and reading has always been a passion of mine. I feel honoured to have an exceptional librarian like you who is willing to help anyone of any background or history.
You might have seen me around the library often, but I don’t believe we’ve been properly introduced before. My name is Callista Lovis, and I’m a first-year here. I have a lot of good memories from the library, and it seems weird to me now that you have always been there, but I have never reached out. I just wanted to say, thank you for being an exceptional librarian and overseeing this wonderful area I have come to love.
Oftentimes I find myself reading late into the night, and it’s with you and the library assistants’ help that I can do so, curled up under my blanket with a library book, reading by the light of my wand. What I’m trying to say is… I can’t appreciate you and the library assistants more, which I know I have already said multiple times, but I just wanted to emphasize it. Thank you for watching over the one place in Hogwarts I feel truly at home, the place that I hold sacred in my thoughts and memories. I hope to see more of you soon.
Sincerely,

Third Letter
Friday, Nov 6th 2020
It seems the second year just realize that for this errand they must write to five different professors. This time around Cash did not bring their loyal companion, the satchel that have their last name engraved on it. After Charms class had been done, the second year climb down the stairs toward the classroom where there will be occupied with Alan.
Upon entering the room, Cash saw that their chair was occupied with another student. Cash about to tell off the other student to move over. To tell that space were theirs in the first place but Cash did not want to make any confrontation in the middle of the day. With that Cash moved towards the nearest chair then sit down.
They put down their belongings that that been carried on the floor. They grabbed their quill, the blue ink and some parchment to write in. For a moment Cash was lost to whom their letter will be addressed to. The blue ink dripped into the parchment and Cash grumbled under their breath. The beater tried to dried it by rubbed their thumb on it but it only make the blue ink smeared a bit more on the parchment.
The green eyes re-read it once again. Checking if there is a misspelled or grammatical error in the letter that they just wrote. When they done checking it and feel like it is adequate enough to be send, they fold it the parchment, put inside the envelope and embellished it with their own stamp.Dear Professor Vernatis,
First of all I want to say I am sorry for the smudge blue ink that I accidentally dripped in this parchment. It happened because I was just thinking to whom my next letter will addressed to then your name popped in my head. I hope you do not mind that I wrote this to you.
Secondly, I wanted to say that I pretty much enjoyed attend your class. Learning new charms or spells always be the highlighted of my day. The way you teach your class also interactive and sometimes challenging as well. As a mix Latinx person (Father was born in here while mother is Cuban), I should have said Latin better.
But the thing is Latin language (as many of your Charms incantations and pronunciation) it is a challenging part on me but I am not a quitter. I will definitely honed that skill so every time I said the new charms and spell that you teach for your class, I will not stumbled over it. Also I would like to address to you, Prof that my pronouns are they / them / their.
It bothers me that every time in class you always address me as Miss. I know I am born as a female but I never see it myself in that category nor I do not feel like boys either. I know it is kind of confusing and if you have a question for it, I will be more than happy to explain it to you. That being said, I want to say thank you for what you done for this school.
I know it is not easy to manage a lot of students from every years (whether they are young or older years). One more thing before I close off this letter, is there any way I can learn a new charms or spells that beyond my year? If there is a way, will you teach me? I know it is not practical but I need to ask you because I enjoy learning Charms from you.
Stay wicked, Prof and thank you!
Best Regards,
Phoenix Cassandra Ironwoods

Professor Jensen,
It is time I formally apologize. Our first meeting was, well, not what I wanted it to be.
I was rude, brash, undignified and an embarrassment to myself, my house, and my family. I did not take responsibility and come to you sooner, and for all of this, I am sincerely sorry.
You are my head of house, you are to be a safe person to go to, someone to trust, and with the chaos surrounding the school at this time, I want to be able to trust you and go to you when something is wrong. I hope that with this letter, we can lift the grey cloud that smothers our relationship. You are a powerful woman, and I look up to you in many ways. I have much to learn, and you seem like a wonderful teacher.
Professor, I ask not for a second chance, my wrongs cannot be ignored, but instead, I ask that you see those wrongs and see the growth I have had. So thank you, even if you cannot move past my mistakes, thank you for being a part of my life and helping me acknowledge my mistakes.
Your strength in the lockdown, your unmovable grit, and grace is something I can only dream to have one day. More than any of this, seeing you, especially on the day of the lockdown, is what has inspired me to want to teach. You are a pillar in this school, this house, this community, and of my Hogwarts family. Yes, each family I have encountered has some toxicity or callous drama, but maybe that does not have to happen here. Maybe we can come together.
I am running out of parchment and formal words, so here are the two things I want you to say.
i. I am so, sincerely sorry for my mistakes of the past
ii. And I thank you for all you do for this school and those here I love.
With gratitude, apologies, and hopes for a brighter future,
Amara Lada Sage Dragamior

Thank You Professors!
For Papertrail Purposes, These Letters Were Written on November 5thMiss Cy, @Cypresse Lian
Hello Miss Cy! This is Piérre! The ADHD one that kind of is the one who makes a lot of trouble and asks all the questions and I'm real sorry about that. Anyways, I'm not supposed to be writing an apology letter (bad Piérre, bad...). I'm writing to tell you just how awesome you are and just how much I appreciate you and everything that you've done for me and every other student in this school!
I know, I know... WOW WHAT A MUSHY LETTER! But really, Miss Cy! I really mean everything that I'm going to say, and I don't even think that words can express the gratitude and thankfulness that I have for you! I've found out from other people already that apparently Transfiguration is a really hard class, and both Maddie and Romeo (my twin who was only in Gryffindor for like a month, so you might not remember him; quiet and studious type, you know...) say so as well. They say it's difficult because the theory is so hard to understand, and that it takes not only a keen mind to explain, but it also takes passion that some people merely do not possess. Miss Cy, you are both those people twisted into one and so much more!
At the Blossom Ball, when I came crashing through the window, you were there to help me first, and even though I was a first year, you treated me as an equal and didn't dismiss me for being a child.
I haven't met too many adults that give us the care and the never-ending love that you give to us, and especially an adult who is actually a kid in disguise (you didn't fool me for a second!).
Anyways, I won't ramble for too long. I love ya lots Mom Miss Cy! Keep being absolutely AWESOME and never let anyone say that you are otherwise, because they are wrong, and you are right.
-Piérre Marchonné
P.S. Please teach me to be an Animagus like you!Mama Lion, @Elaine Pendrast
Hi Mama Lion! This is Piérre, the really hyperactive one! I wanted to write you an appreciation letter, because I don't know if you get told just how much you mean to your lion children!
First off, thank you for just being able to, well, to endure us. I know that Gryffindor apparently has a reputation for being really headstrong and aggressive, be it in sports or in situations that call for action, and to be the one who reigns us all in? That takes a lot of courage in and of itself! Being able to not only guide the students in this house, but also give them the encouragement and love that we so desperately need makes you a human of the greatest degree! I mean, I know that I haven't ever talked to you, so maybe I'm completely mistaken, but believe me when I say that even if you think that you aren't exactly the softest, most compassionate person you've ever met, I know that everyone in their heart of hearts cares about something more than their life itself, and that is what matters the most; be it a love for your wards or for anything really, pet, friend, family...
I just wanted to let you know how much you're loved and appreciated mama! We really wouldn't be here without you, and we certainly wouldn't be the people that we are without you either. I know that I wouldn't be the person I am today if it weren't for your help!
- Piérre Marchonné
P.S. My Angel of Music told me to thank you for helping her out as well! So, "thank you"s from her as well!Mister Cara, @Caradoc Browne
Hi Mister Cara! This is Piérre, the one who crashed the Puff party way back last year in the fall? I wanted to write to you and just tell you how much you mean to me. I mean, I'm not going to lie, when I first met you, I thought you were a little bit scary. I mean, you're so tall and kind of stern-looking, and of course I know you're a Hufflepuff, so you were probably really nice and stuff at the moment, but being a little kid, and about half your height, I was a little scared of you.
But, now that I've met you, I just want to say that I don't think you're just a really awesome guy, I want to say that, well, I kind of think of you as my dad. I mean, I know I'm a Gryffindor, and you're the awesome Papa Badger, but ever since I got to first meet you in causing chaos in the Corridors during the LGBTQ+ celebration, and then when we talked casually later in the Great Hall... I felt like that I found a father in you. I don't want to make this sappy or make it sound like I need to have support, because I know you have a lot of kids and especially students in your own house that need your love and support, but I really, really want to confess and say that ever since I've belonged to Maddie's household, you've been the only father figure I've really had. And I know I've never seen you around hardly ever, but I really mean it when I say that I really love you, Mister Cara. You have such a big heart, and I can only hope that I grow up to have such deep compassion and heart as you do.
Sorry for being awkward. I'm not used to writing letters very formally. Have a great day, Mister Cara, and a great big ghostly hug coming your way from me!
- Piérre Marchonné
P.S. Have I ever told you just how much you remind me of my old teammate Hugh Lowe? I'm so glad that he's back!Mister River, @River Jemari
Hi Mister River! How are you doing? This is Piérre, the Gryffindor Keeper who can never stay off his broom long enough to listen to instruction? Hi, yes, I just wanted to write to you and tell you just how awesome you are and to thank you for everything that you've done and are doing for both the students academically and for the student teams in the Quidditch games! Not only are teaching classes that involve flying super difficult to lead and keep students on track (because flying is AWESOME and you KNOW it!), but being able to retain and know all the ins and outs of broomology, Quidditch, broom-racing, and all sorts of variable curriculum that not only spans magical knowledge, but also cultural knowledge (like, rug riders in Asia? That's so cool and now I really want one too!)
But above all, thank you for your epic refereeing ability in Quidditch! Being able to be a fair judge of legal and illegal moves, being able to take every action in stride and being able to ignore the peer pressure of the team which is losing in the moment and instate the rules as they were meant to be.
That takes guts! And it makes the game fun for everyone! First rodeos are rough, but hey, that's learning! And I really like learning from you!
Pretty roundabout way of saying that I think that you're awesome, huh? Well anyways... thank you again for everything that you do, and I hope to see you on the pitch again, Mister River!
- Piérre Marchonné
P.S. You should have met Olphie before she left. You two would have Been such a dynamic duo Hit. It. Off.Mister Bonni, @Boniface Murtagh MacTavish
Hi Mister Bonni! This is Piérre, the one who's really bad with fire? I mean seriously, Incendio and Incendio Duo were ROUGH. Anyways, this is not about my academics, this is about how much I appreciate you and love you as an awesome, fun teacher!
At a glance, I can tell right away that you are dedicated to your studies, and in the midst of that dedication comes passion for learning and for teaching, and when that passion is handed off to pupils and students, a seed of curiosity is planted. Not only do you plant the seed, Mister Bonni, but you also water and fertilize it and clear away the magical slugs trying to eat it, and then you watch it bud and blossom!
What I'm trying to say is that not only do you inspire curiosity, but you encourage its growth! You encourage students to try new things, and with an awesome smile and a cheery greetings every day when we all come into class, I can't help but be inspired and try to learn everything that you teach me to the best of my ability! I love your accent too. Whenever I hear it, I just get all bubbly inside, like it's honestly the greatest thing. And you're kind of dropping little Gaelic sayings here and there.. and I'm trying to learn some as well.. like um... Is namhaid í an cheird gan í a fhoghlaim, which means something like You need to know what you're doing, otherwise it's dangerous or something like that... Maybe it's more like, um An activity is dangerous if not proficient?
Oh well. Well, have a great day Mister Bonni, and I hope that this letter brightened your day, no matter your situation!
- Piérre Marchonné
P.S. Sorry if I insulted you with my really bad Gaelic translations and attempts to interpret it...

Dear Papa Badger!
I tried to paint my letter of appreciation to you on one of the walls in the school so everyone who passed by could be reminded of how incredible you are. But for some strange reason, I was told by a prefect that such things would be ‘against the rules’ or something. Can you believe it? Stifling my artistic vision, the audacity! But I wasn’t going to let that keep me from writing to my favorite papa badger that has ever been a papa badger.
I have so much to thank you for, I made a list but then something must have eaten it because I cannot find it for the life of me! Speaking of life, I really owe you mine. You and Professor Snekky Jensen were the ones brave enough to save me and the Tebo from whatever was attacking us down in the basement. Now, not to scold the safety parameters of the school that allows a series of serious life-threatening events to go on with no seeming attempts to prevent them… But regardless of that, I am so grateful that I can rely on you to keep us safe once the chaos does begin.
You help keep our little badger den such a happy and welcoming place. Just the other day, Ethen dropped a ton of cupcakes and made a huge mess in the common room because I jumped on him and you didn’t even ever scold us. Sure no one else was around, so I am not sure anyone would have known. But I am pretty sure that even if you did know, you would have just smiled at us and done a little badger dance!
Now I know you don’t have ‘favorites’ but I do want to deeply thank you for letting us have your favor to force General Jensen into helping us save the school from lava. The pictures of her stumbling and wobbling her way across the tabletops is something that never fails to make me laugh. It was a favor well spent and I know you wouldn’t give that to just any crazy badger. So don’t worry, I will keep it a secret that I am your favorite. Shhh, no one has to know!
But before I continue to ramble on about all the things we break and trust me that is A LOT of stuff… Like if you knew all the things in the common room that we have broken… Or all of the things we have spilled… or all of the things that we get in trouble for and say that you told us to do (that excuse works every time)... Oh, I am rambling again, I am just so excited to be talking to the big fluffy Papa Badger. But I know you are very very busy doing all that ‘work’ you say you have around the castle (I know you are probably sneaking cookies or something). So I just want to finish this by saying that I love everything you do and am so happy that you will be there watching over me in my second home.

Dear Mr. Headmaster Sir Professor Master Grandpa Sage Lear!
I just want to start by saying that you are so amazing and I could never express how much I appreciate everything you have done. Hogwarts has become my second home and I know I have you to thank for that. For making this place such an incredible and welcoming place. If I ignore all of the near-death experiences over my short time here, this place has been nothing but incredible. I never thought I could love a school so much but you have made this entire place just feel like one massive family. I know it has to be hard work but I am so thankful that we have someone looking out for us like you.
And you know, if you were ever looking for help on how to make this place even more amazing. I would definitely be a great help...maybe. Like you know how if a student paints on the walls they will get a detention. Or if you have like an impromptu game of dodge book in the library you get detention… Well, I was thinking that maybe, just maybe, those wouldn’t have to be cause for detention. I mean even it is supposedly against the rules to bury our peers on the grounds while acting like bandits. I just don’t know if all of these ‘rules’ are necessary. I appreciate the thought but I think maybe we could figure out a much better system.
OR! Or um if you wanted, I can be your official prefect checker. I will do all sorts of amazing types of mischief... I am talking geese in potions class or sudden trumpet marches in the library kinds of mischief. And when the prefects chase me down and catch me, I can let them know that I was just checking if they were paying attention for you. That way I don’t get detention and you can be sure your prefects are always on their toes! I think it is a win-win and I would definitely appreciate it!
But even if you don’t let me spread chaos with impunity, I want you to know that I still think you are amazing. I love every time I see you around and don’t even think you are smelly. You keep this crazy place running and keep it as a big happy family and it makes me so excited to be at school. All during summer I was just waiting to get back here! So thank you for making these next years so incredible, I know those that follow will only get better!

Admiral Browne,
I hope this correspondence finds you in good health. The Great War has claimed many and it is my fear and the fear of my men that it has no end in sight. But your continued support has begun to abate many of those fears. Knowing your vessels are at the ready to provide covering fire has allowed us to get the first bit of sleep in god knows how long…
We are dug in just outside El Bosque Prohibido as the locals call it. We are holding the line best we can but supplies are limited. We went through the last of the biscuits just this morning and as the sun begins to set I know our rations will be stretched to their limits. But your valiance keeps us going. I promise you that your mere presence alone gives the men and women an aura of invincibility. The legends of your hard-fought battles and your continued success on the naval front give us hope that this war and this battle may be turning in our favor.
Just the other day, I overheard a young private sitting in their foxhole and sipping at butterbeer spinning a tale about having seen you on the bow of a ship once. It brought a smile to my withered face immediately. I recalled the first time I saw you while I was just a Lieutenant in the academy. Even then you moved with an air of confidence and prestige that I hoped to emulate. Little did I know that I would find myself truly in debt to you for your continued support. Without you, I have no doubt that the remainder of my battalion would be at the mercy of the elements and our enemy.
Thankfully, however, the Revolutionary Badger Battalion still has its fighting spirit. No matter the odds, we remain bonded together and ready to fall in the defense of the line. Each of us knows that you need us just as much as we need you. We will not fail you, Admiral! We anticipate the enemy will make another push under the cover of darkness, we will be ready. With all we have learned from your leadership and your tactical brilliance, it wouldn’t matter if all we had left was a few sticks and mudpies...we would find a way to preserve.
All this to say. We thank you, Admiral Browne. We thank you for everything you have done to keep this battalion of bumbling brash and bleating badgers booming boundlessly to a greater future. You continue to inspire me and my comrades each day. Just know that we are always here should you need us and we are ready to jump at your command.

Sir Solomon Lear,
Greetings Headmaster Lear, we are happy to be writing to you this fine fall day. I am Major Ethen Emrys of the Allied Revolutionary Forces and under the combined command of Admiral Browne and General Jensen. I am sure you have no doubt heard of our noble cause and great struggle, so I will not go into deep detail about the eternal struggle that is sure to consume all the land… But we have taken note...many notes to be precise. A whole book of notes based on the last reports of our informants.
It has come to our attention that you have continued the management of this exemplary institution of Hogwarts in one of the most difficult times mankind has ever faced. Your cunning and tact coupled with keen intellect are clear to us of the movement and we have developed a deep admiration for your continued achievement. Under your guidance, you have cultivated the finest institution my eyes have ever seen and each of our informants attests to your remarkable leadership. I fundamentally believe, as do my comrades, that your leadership is beyond exemplary and is an exhibition of excellence.
Those within the institution appear to act more like a close-knit family than a loose conglomerate of students. Hogwarts has transcended beyond a mere place of education to a second or even primary home for many of its inhabitants. It is a place of safety, admiration, tranquility, and friendship. The bonds between each soul within those walls seem impossibly and unyieldingly powerful. They are a continued testament to what you have been able to create and maintain. It is no small feat to do and it is my deepest honor to acknowledge all of the excellence that you have fostered.
Beyond that, the revolution could use leadership such as yours in the great cause. So not only do I wish to thank you for providing unrivaled safety, friendship, and education to the next generation. But I would also like you to know that the revolution now looks to you as our defacto Field Marshal. We could never dream of a more able commander and have no doubt you will continue to provide a brighter future to each of us. It is with admiration and deep affection that I salute you, Marshal Lear.

General Jensen,
It is funny what something so simple can evoke. I found myself out on patrol near the Black Lake with a fair amount of troops this evening. With each tentative and cautious step, I found my boots sinking deeper in the treacherous mud. Just a week prior we had praised the mud for stifling the advance of the bourgeois forces who were unaccustomed to the vile soil. How quickly that praise turned into irritated curses as we became bogged down ourselves. But it reminded me. Reminded me of a time I found myself neck-deep in boiling lava knowing that the fate of the world rested in the hands of a young upstart officer and the best damn general we have ever seen.
There is no semblance of words I could ever assemble that would begin to illuminate the depths of appreciation and admiration I have for you. It seems that no matter the struggle or danger, I find myself in your debt or being saved by you. No matter the ferocity of the conflagration or savagery of our foes, you display unparalleled bravery and skill. You have been a paragon of kindness and remain the truest illustration of cunning I have been able to behold. If each of those under my command had a semblance of your tact, this war would be well finished and through with.
Each day that this great struggle drags on, I know our comrades feel the weight of war and I fear their morale wavers. But even the smallest glimpse of your glory breathes new life into them. It is then that I know I am witnessing a true leader. One who will undoubtedly lead us to victory. I only hope that I can continue to serve you well. You always will have me and my battalion ready and able at your command!
Despite being temporarily burned alive under your command, I have always admired everything you do. At times even a fearsome badger must learn from the cunning serpent and you offer so much to learn from. As my troops get ready for the next push on the path to revolution, we will remember your valiant greatness. We will remember your bravery and all that you have done for us. We will remember the pictures of you scrambling over tabletops for the greater good! No force could ever dream to have a better general. From down here in the mud and grime, we thank you for everything you do.
