Feasts within the Great Hall Dinner Closed

Wini sighed, “Well that was kind of disappointment,” She grinned, actually kind of amused by it. They had all worked themselves up to a very anticlimactic finish. Just her luck.

“Thank you,” She smiles brightly, taking the schedule into her hands. She read over the list, only recognizing a few. Her face contorted into worry as she tried to figure out how she would find all of these classes. Maybe one of the girls would be able to help her out.

“Hey Della?” She started, turning to the girl next to her as the music started signaling the end of the meal. “What class do you have first?” She asked, looking at her schedule skeptically. The thought of wandering the castle alone looking for a class she had no idea was about seemed quite daring. Even though she would be up to the challenge, it was Hogwarts they were talking about. A place where ghosts wandered around the halls. Wini cheered herself up by saying to herself that she would get used to it.

Wini’s head rose as Aurelia moved to leave. She called a ‘see you later’ after the retreating girl before turning back to Della. Now if she could just make it through the day.

“Well that was kind of disappointment,”

Wini sighed and then grinned after finding out the contents of the letter.

“Thank you,”

She smiles brightly, taking the schedule into her hands. 


Aurelia burst in to petite fits of laughter when she heard that the contents inside the envelope was just scheduled and maps. Just as she did, chimes and bells rang she even heard the sound of chello, creating a melodic harmony.

"Oh, I guess it signals that the morning feast is over."

She said while taking her class schedule out from her envelope.

“Hey Della?”

Wini started, turning to the girl next to her as the music started signalling the end of the meal.

“What class do you have first?”

She asked, looking at her schedule sceptically.

"Oh, Dumbledore's beard!" 
"I forgot my potionology textbook! And the class is on the first period."

Aureila exclaimed. As she scurried across the hall. She had almost forgotten to say goodbye.

"I'll meet you guys during the afternoon feast!"

She called out to the rest of them before leaving the hall. "Bye" Makena shouted back unsure if she heard. Makena looked down at her schedule and sighed. "I have history of magic first. I heard it was boring." "What about you guys what lesson do you have first." She said looking at the other two girls across from her.

“What class do you have first?”

The parchment was smooth beneath her fingers, a timetable neatly drawn in black ink with occasionally colour-coded text interspersed in the boxes. She lifted a finger to trace today's schedule down to her first class. "Herbology...with Professor Wright." She announced, just as Aurelia interrupted:

"Oh, Dumbledore's beard! I forgot my potionology textbook! And the class is on the first period."

"See you," Mardella called out faintly, as the other girl yelled back at them about meeting for lunch before disappearing out the doors to the main hall. Aurelia seemed like someone who preferred punctuality and organization, she mused, maybe she could give Mardella a few tips - her Ma would certainly be grateful!

"I have history of magic first. I heard it was boring. What about you guys what lesson do you have first."

"Maybe it won't be too bad, apparently it used to be a ghost back when Harry Potter was at school here. The papers wouldn't stop talking about it." She said to Makena, hoping it sounded reassuring.

"Welp, I'm in Herbology," Mardella repeated, glancing at Wini to see if they were all headed off in separate directions. "That's outside in the greenhouse, right?" She flipped the paper over to scan the map of the grounds, running her finger down the page. "...hmm...greenhouse one...." It didn't seem to be too far away, maybe a five to ten minute walk outside. It would be a pain if it was raining though.

Beside her Wini seemed nervous about heading out again. "Where are you off to? I've got Defence after." Around them people seemed to be snagging the last few slices of toast or hurriedly chugging juice before they dashed off.

"Umm, I've got Transfiguration first and then Herbology for second before the break," She smiled, turning to Della. "I don't have Defence until later in the afternoon after Potions," She frowned slightly.

Wini stood from the table, putting her bag strap over her shoulder. She had brought some extra books which she wouldn't end up needing, but better to be more prepared than less, right?

"You should all wish me luck on finding my classes," She grinned, patting herself on the back lightly, "I'll probably get an award for getting lost the easiest," She laughed lightly.

Her schedule showed that there would be quite a few breaks, which she was pleased with. That should mean that there will be time for homework and to relax. She also noticed the Quidditch block on Friday. Maybe it was flying? Probably. Or maybe there was something wrong with her schedule. She could probably ask the professor when she got to her first class.

"Alright guys," She smiled, "I'll see you all later. Maybe we can meet up to study after classes?" She suggested, starting to walk backwards towards the great hall doors. The doors that lead to the classes that she would be in for the rest of her school year.

"Umm, I've got Transfiguration first and then Herbology for second before the break, I don't have Defence until later in the afternoon after Potions,"

"Shame," Mardella sighed, gathering her things as the others did so. "Would have been nice if we all had the same schedule." Wini stood up first, extracting herself from between the bench and the long table before hesitating for a moment.

"You should all wish me luck on finding my classes, I'll probably get an award for getting lost the easiest."

She laughed, shoving one braid over her shoulder haphazardly as she swung her legs over the bench. "Not if I beat you for it, but good luck! You'll be tough competition, I'm sure!" She teased and grabbed her bag from beneath her seat.

"Alright guys, I'll see you all later. Maybe we can meet up to study after classes?"

"Sure!" Mardella waved the other girl off as Wini span around and headed for the doors. "Makena, got all your things?" She asked, turning to the other girl as they walked out the hall."We better split soon, I've got to find a greenhouse!"

Nerves had been sitting in the pit of her stomach since she'd woken up this morning and the crazy owl hadn't helped matters, but as she headed off towards the Entrance Hall, Mardella couldn't help but feel excited instead for the rest of the day. If her roommates had been this much fun, she could scarcely imagine what the rest of the school day would bring!

The hall was bustling with students when Aurelia came in for dinner. She had came in pretty late. She sat around an empty area of the table so her friends would have space to seat. The food was already laid out like how it was during breakfast. Her mouth watered as smells of roasted chicken wavered in the air. She stabbed it with her fork and gentle cut a slice of meat. She also took some lettuce and potato salad. The food was out neatly on her silver rimmed plate.

She looked around, her friends should be here by now. She cranes her head and hope they would be someone in the sea of students. If they didn’t come soon, all the good food would be gone. Students were already aiming for the chicken, taking big chunks of the meat.

“Sorry, someone Would be sitting here, she told a student that was about to plop himself on the seat she had reserved for her friends.

Her stomach grumbled. She was expected her new friends to arrive soon but she was tempted to eat. The food smelt so good. It would be rude if she ate without her friends. After a minute or to, she was stuffing her face with chicken,

Lorelai scanned the Gryffindor table looking for the girl she had conversed with in the corridors. Her eyes landed on her, and she walked over to sit next to her. There was an empty seat next to there girl, and Lorelai took it.

"Hi again!"She greeted quickly, before moving her attention to the food in front of her. Rude? Maybe, but Lorelai wanted food first. She had barely had anything that day and was starving. Despite being late, the tables still had plenty of food on them, and Lorelai grabbed a little bit of everything from the remaining platters of food. The food at Hogwarts was good no question, but she missed her mother's cooking, which she always felt was the best. She looked to see if there was any dessert to be found. She couldn't locate any and sighed. Maybe next time. She started to take little, dainty bites of her food, and she felt like melting. She ended up shoving mountains of food into her mouth like a madwoman. "Wow, I really didn't realize that I was this hungry."She smiled to herself.

She turned to face Aurelia, smiling. "Good to see you again. Seems like you're just as hungry as I am. I think that something about this school just makes me hungry. Or maybe it's the fact that I barely had breakfast. Either way, I was starv

Aurelia was chewing on the palatable food when she saw Lorelai approach her, covered her mouth with her hand she chewed and swallowed down the food in her mouth hastily.

Hi again.

The girl greeted her.

“Hello, Lorelai, sorry I started eating without you, I was just so hungry.” Aurelia explained embarrassed.

“You should try the roasted chicken,” She suggested. She waited for Lorelai to get her food and sit down before she continued with her meal.

Wow, I really didn't realize that I was this hungry.

the girl said while munching on the food.

“I agree.” Acknowledged Aurelia with a nod. After her plate was eaten clean if it’s contents, she put the greasy cutlery neatly on it. She knew that it would magically disappear once they were gone. She remembered she didn’t finish her story while at the corridor.

“Moving on. So I did tell you just now that in my childhood, I didn’t fit in the muggle school and they would always bully me. But somehow, I gained confidence. I kept winning races and sprints during competitions and used it as an advantage, when they teased me, I would always say that if they couldn’t catch up to me, they were no better than me. I know it sounds rude, it was unfortunately the only way I could do for them to stop pestering me.” She sighed.

“How about you, Lorelai?” Aurelia asked. She hadn’t heard much about her.

Makena walked into the Great Hall it still amazed her every time she walked inside it would never get old. Makena quickly scanned the Gryffindor table and saw what looked like Aurelia sitting there so she started walking over. Makena then sat down across from Aurelia and noticed another girl sitting with them. "Hi Aurelia," Makena paused "Sorry if I'm interrupting guys." She looked at the other girl she hadn't met yet "Hey there I'm Makena" said said with a smile. Makena looked down at the table there was roasted chicken, lettuce and potato salad along with other things. Makena cut a piece of the meat and put some lettuce and other little bits of food on her plate. Makena loved the food here it was always amazingly cooked and always out on time. Makena looked back up at the other girl she hadn't met after grabbing all of the food she wanted. She wondered how many new people would be joining them. Makena had met a few new people but none in Gryffindor not yet at least, she didn't really want o be the only one who didn't make new friends Gryffindor's were suppose to be confident and brave Makena didn't really feel like that unless she was about in nature or maybe on an adventure buut when it came to meeting new people she put on a confident face but she wasn't very trusting or confident.
