When the game started the fourth year would reach for his broom, the silver arrow and start to get up into the air. After seeing a few familiar faces the boy would look around further once he was up in the air and got his wand ready. At this point he had studied flying well enough to do quite well, balancing himself as he swished his wand. The only thing that would worry him throughout this was falling off his broom but at the same time he was also determined to do his best as well. His eyes would lock on a certain target, someone that he knew all to well and knew that she was a excellent flyer; a very dangerous opponent. He had seen her fly after all and all the tricks she did while doing so, which is exactly why Alan had to do something to give her a little bit of a hurdle.
Alan would attempt to cast the spell and a expectant smile would tug at his lip as he hoped for it to be a success. He was not really the best at casting but he was sure that he might be fine if he was just trying to put all of his focus into casting the spell. He should be fine with dodging, knowing that he was quite capable of doing such things.

Thankfully, the girl wasn't too judgmental about Eyre's stupid inquiry, even being as nice as to wish him luck before they began. He pushed off the ground with his school broom, zooming off into the sky so that he had a good distance between him and the others. Although he was only a second year and he knew very well that half of the players could easily rip him to shreds, he was still a fiercely competitive person at heart. The brunette was going to try his hardest to come up on top...even though it seemed futile.
He noticed the girl cast a spell on the short boy she seemed to be friends with, and Eyre let out a sharp exhale of amusement through his nose. It seemed that despite her soft exterior, she was going to be taking the game seriously too.
In an attempt to hopefully gain her alliance, he soared towards them with his long coat fluttering in the breeze behind him, and pointed his wand at the boy confidently. At that moment, it seemed like the girl was being targeted by someone else. Hopefully she'd be okay... It'd be a shame if he targeted the other boy for no reason, but there was no time to waste. He'd made his mind up.

More and more people shows up as Cash wait on the side line of the pitch. Some familiar faces the green eyes recognize them. There's Lucille Williams that upon her arriving at the pitch, Cash vaguely remembered meeting her on the Hogwarts train and later both of the students are a member of a club. Next is a girl (Ruby) Cash briefly meet during dinner at the Great Hall.
Not long after that was the unmistakeable red head soft boy Alan Vanes who last year the green eyes played some game on the ground that turn into a bit bloody mess. One Miss Beckett grace the field with her presence. Followed by a Ravenclaw prefect (Periscles) and Eyre Reeves that Cash had a brief encounter on the Hogwarts train during a ride back to school with two other students.
Another face also arriving on the pitch (River). Cash met River last year the same time they met Alan. Once a decent amount of people gather on the field, the host for today game beckoning them to move closer. The green eyes get up from where they situated and listen the instructions for the game.
Aurelia explain to the group that last year River won the game. Cash subtly eyeing the Ravenclaw Prefect from where they stood. Once the host mounted up her broom and soared into the air, Cash grabbed one of the school broom. Some of them have their own broom and for a bit Cash envy with what they have.
The host then casted a red spark charm up to the skies signaling the game indeed has begin. Spells are flying left and right. Cash carefully eying their target. Once they had their target, with their right hand they grab the broom stick and hold their wand with their left hand. The purple hair girl so far is great in spell casting and fond of flying every chance they got.
Feeling the wind blowing on their hair is such a liberating feeling. "Flipendo!"Cash pointed their wand to Alan while the boy targeting a girl with strawberry bubble gum hair. "Sorry not sorry, mate"They hollered. For Modding :

More people arrived on the pitch as moments passed, students gradually trickling down from Hogwarts in what seemed like general excitement. The boy accepted her quick handshake, proving himself to be rather alright.
"The feeling is mutual," replied Scarlett, shaking his hand once more before turning her attention somewhere else. Thankfully, she did it on time as moments afterwards, a bubbly, pink-haired girl came charging over and pulled the Flash boy into a spin-hug combination.
By now, more people started to arrive - just on time. A lot of them were barely distinguishable yet some caught the girl's eye - purple-haired Cash Ironwoods, a good friend of hers by now, a girl with ethereal-like golden eyes and someone who looked rather like her - the same basic facial features and basic hair. The girl looked older than Scarlett however. Finally, one that Scarlett particularly wanted to attack was Anastasia Beckett, a truly evil girl who had pounced on her in the corridors a few days before - bloodying up her nose and slapping her in the face. Scarlett would try to hex her later, in the game. By the looks of it, Beckett was thinking the same.
Cash didn't approach Scarlett at all, which was rather disappointing. It looked like the redhead would be without allies for now - though she was sure she wanted to try and talk to a few others before the game -
Started.
Oh well. It looked like the girl was too late for any allies before the game, so she listened to Aurelia intently. Perhaps she could manage to shout at a few people once the game had begun.
According to the fourth-year, the group would be playing 'Shuntbumps'. It was simply broom-jousting, where you fired spells at your opponents attempting to knock them off their brooms. The last person standing won. The game sounded simple enough - last year's winner was apparently Scarlett's look-alike, 'Miss Dewlight'.
Scarlett raced over to grab a rickety school-broom, rather in despair. It looked like everyone else had at least a Comet 170, and here she was, depressingly using a school broom. She descended into the air the way Professor Jemari had shown the class and got ready for the start of the game. A dazzling burst of light - red sparks - signalled the beginning of the event as the students immediately set off, hexing everyone they saw.
A flurry of spells went at the Flash boy she had met at the beginning of the game - some other fourth-year tried to use the Blindfold spell on the pink-haired girl - Cash attempted a Flipendo on the very same fourth-year.
Scarlett studied her surroundings for about a millisecond, before she set off to pursue her rivals.
Over the flying and shouting, Scarlett manoeuvred to Cash, shouting, "You wanna be allies?"
And without waiting for the Slytherin's answer, Scarlett whizzed away as fast as she could on the school broom, her dark-brown eyes searching for Anastasia Beckett. In her search, she decided to swerve over and help Cash achieve her goal, pointing her wand at the fourth-year Cash tried to hex.
"Flipendo!" she yelled as she passed by the boy, laughing slightly. This was rather fun. "Sorry dude!"Action Casting Flipendo on Alan

Ana's scowl lessened slightly when Flash approached. He was one of the few people in the school that she wasn't either avoiding or on the verge of punching in the throat. He was pleasant enough company and she nodded slightly in greeting. "Quite," she said. "Not even coffee was able to set the morning right." She smiled for a moment as she spoke about coffee since that was something Flash had seemed to be highly interested in the first time they had spoken.
Her stomach turned slightly when Eyre arrived. The last time they had spoken had been less than pleasant, and she suspected that they had both said things that, in retrospect, they rather wished they hadn't. Still, there wasn't anything she could do about that now. She wasn't someone who was particularly wired for regret, and her sentiment from the train station still stood. While she wasn't proud of the way that she had said it, she wanted Eyre, and really, the majority of the people she knew, to just leave her to her own devices.
Aurelia signaled the start of the game and Ana inhaled sharply. She shot Flash a small grin before launching herself into the air. Her new broom was as amazing as she had hoped it would be and for a split second, all her troubles fell away and she was just flying. It didn't last, but it was nice for that moment. Her dark eyes narrowed as she scanned the players for her prey.
She didn't hate many people. Others might disagree, but she really didn't. There were plenty that she strongly disliked or found irritating, but only a select few who she truly loathed. Scarlett was one of the lucky chosen ones. What kind of person went around school spreading rumors that someone killed their parents? Ana was rather vicious when it came to the rumors she would spread about people she disliked, but even she had never stooped that low. While Ana was in this to win it, her first goal was to exact revenge on the redheaded girl. She was going to enjoy this.
Finally locating her victim, Ana's jaw tightened and her eyes turned steely as she aimed her wand. "Expelliarmus!" she said, her tone far more serious than the jovial chatter of the other people playing the game. This wasn't a game to Ana.

A moment after Anastasia began to reply, Aurelia gathered everyone’s attention to quickly explain the game. Shuntbumps was not unfamiliar to him at all, a favorite of Darius and the mates he brought over, when they weren’t playing some other dangerous game. His had been glorified blatching practice, but it seemed the idea in this case was to only use spells. It was acceptable, even exciting.
Flash wasn’t exactly an obvious winner, he was younger and more inexperienced than many of the others-- Serena Towers and River Dewlight seemed like the staunchest competition. Serena in particular certainly knew how to take hits and stay on her broom, it almost seemed the game was unfairly perfect for her, though he doubted she was excited to jump back into the fray so quickly.
He didn’t have too much time to analyze the competition, as much as that would have been his only real edge. Knowing things was just about the only thing he actually excelled in. He had mostly avoided casting spells during his first year, he was afraid he might make a fool of himself, but this year he didn’t want to remain useless. He looked forward to having an excuse for practical application, not to mention while flying and trying to avoid attacks.
With that, he ascended alongside everyone else, with bright red sparks heralding the start of the game. Caught by a flurry of excitement in his stomach, he saw spells start being cast around him, some of them at him!
Well, he wasn’t really incensed, it was a game. Still, he hardly felt like he deserved the attention. Willow was likely trying to make a point-- their closeness did not make them a pair. It would likely do well to make people less likely to target her. It was a competition, after all. He didn’t want to be the first one knocked out though-- he wanted to get more practice in. And, well, have fun, ideally.
If he could manage to cast a spell, he wouldn't go for petty targets-- he wanted to disarm the last winner of the game. It seemed like the most logical choice.

Mounting her broom, Serena kicked off into the air. This game was certainly going to be full of hits and violence but, at the very least, it was not entirely aimed at her and she was prepared for it. Hell, she was expecting it. That made everything far better. She waited for the signal to start before quickly launching into motion. If there was one thing she enjoyed, it was flying around. She could do that all day. Raising her wand, she eyed the others carefully.
A few people all seemed to be gathering on the same students. Well... it seemed a bit unfair to have it one versus far too many. Serena pondered if there was some sort of alliances going on here. Did people group together with their friends? Perhaps she ought to have done that before... She did not. Welp. Perhaps she could help one of them. The badger whizzed around the pitch, trying to dodge any stray spells that came as she pondered her move. She did not really want to flipendo someone off the broom right at the start of the game. That seemed kind of mean.
"Mimblewimble!" She called out, pointing to a random flier nearby that she recognised in her own year. At this point, it did not matter who, she just wanted to help level the playing field a little for the younger years that did not have an arsenal of spells.

Taking to banter with Xailah was like slipping on a pair of broken-in gloves: cozy and familiar. "I like to be where my friends are," the boy insisted in that airy way, smiling smugly upon standing at her side, hands folded in front. "I might come to 'Pericles', or 'Ruby', or 'Xailah'... you could call me Schrödinger's Friend, metaphorically and-" he stooped to see the lump of fur by her feet, "-literally! Well met old boy." Peri sat on his launches, one arm looped around the upright Arrow, the other outstretched to scritch behind the feline's ears. Come the compliment for his broom and the Quidditch inquiry, he glanced up with a vaguely sheepish expression. "They've wait-listed me," the fledgling began hesitantly, "but if it's true that there's a dueling club in the works, I might relinquish my spot. I was next in line for second-string seeker, though, and I'd hate to waste the opportunity...." He trailed, inflection implying he desired Xailah's insight, but perhaps that was a talk for another time. She spoke of taking the Arrow for a test flight, and Pericles sparked at the thought. A cheeky curl captured one corner of his mouth as he returned, "Did you miss riding with me?" The crookedness of the expression said it all: with any luck, their next flight wouldn't be half as precarious as the last one. With a point at the fascinating baubles dangling from her broom, he added, "I like yours, too. What do the dice do? I s'pose they're symbolic for luck?"@Xailah Alptraum / @River Dewlight / @Ruby Cazares / @Flash Holmwood
It seemed S.W.A.G had acquired an assortment of prefects. In fact- if he'd heard right- this particular game was actually sanctioned by professors. Pericles would not dwell all too long on what these things might mean for the future of the games, as he was a child, which was to say he was distractable when friends were near. River was welcomed with a bright smile, one which went stiff as an odd sensation rolled off of the likable girl. It was one he recognized and was capable of quickly pretending he wasn't aware of. "Welcome back, River," the younger Ravenclaw replied with earnest friendliness, glancing at her Cleansweep and answering "I can hardly wait for it. I haven't played a match with brooms before."
Xailah had asked how Ruby was feeling, and he looked her way with an expression that mirrored the question, clearly curious about her well-being. Although he didn't recall the exact date of his joining, he would add "Xailah and I played an interesting game late last school year. Something t'do with keeping hold of a ball while remaining in a range. I dunno yet if S.W.A.G always that inventive, but I'm glad to see you here. I'd wager we're in for something fun." It was then that Xailah briefed them on her odd encounter, specifically, the boy who was keeping tabs on professors and prefects alike. The smile drifted, turning to a relaxed frown, though Pericles didn't seem particularly perturbed. "I suppose it makes sense for him to know our names, as there are so few of us, but stalking...?" His eyebrows arched at a journal's mention. Xailah's judgment was trusted, though he was the sort prone to pry, interested in acquiring all sides to a story. A discreet glance was flicked for Flash, then he mused "My father says that those who spend time tracking local leaders often intend to usurp them or join them. I wonder if our secret admirer's quite so black and white, or something else altogether." Then, trying to lighten the mood for the impending game, Pericles' placid smile returned alongside an almost playful tune. "We must watch one-another's backs. There can only be one winner tonight, but what d'you ladies think of us prefects flying together for a little while?"
Aurelia commanded her audience's attention. Pericles listened, rapt, eyes wide when Shuntbumps was named, swiveling to River with a congratulatory grin when it was said she was the former winner. It was a shame he didn't have time to ask for any advice. This was a dangerous game, though the young wizard was happy to hear they would be using spells rather than bowling into each other. He would draw his goggles over his eyes, eagerly await the signal, and when it came, kicked up into the air. Pericles' confidence for flying had evidently been bolstered by some means over the summer. The Arrow glided effortlessly upwards, swooping for the sky in an elegant arch. Spells were already flashing this way and that. He hastily tracked targets: two for that Flash lad, two for poor Alan, one at a girl he did not yet know. Alan was witnessed taking aim at Willow, and in a flare of sentimentality for his Green Witch acquaintance, Pericles nearly joined the slew who targeted the fourth-year Quidditch player. Then he spied Flash taking aim at River, and his allegiance to the fellow Ravenclaw prefect won out. That pale aspen wand was whipped in his direction. "Immobulus!"

This is super short....
May felt herself blush slightly as @Pericles Dralt approached the pitch, and gave her a 'I remember last year' smile that made her get into a mixture of emotions she couldn't describe. She got hold of her broom, again, as she saw @Ruby Cazares enter too, somebody she throughly disliked. There was, too, @Anastasia Beckett a friend of hers, and she waved at her. But then, the game was about to begin.
May kicked her broom in the air as Aurelia told them to start mounting them. May felt nervous, yet exited to see who was going to win. She was, by no means, a very competitive person, and, yes, she was in a bad mood. She only wanted to have fun- and probably make a few friends. But it would not be easy to make friends with a pout in her face.
She looked around at her, trying to see who the hell she was going to jinx, or cast a spell at. She squeezed her wand and whispered "Expelliarmus!" at Pericles. With that spell, Pericles would wipe off that smile off his face, for once. Hopefully, @Flash Holmwood would become her ally. She had just (if the spell succeeded) 'saved' him from any harm. So, it was only fair.
