Aurélie listened to Henry’s tales with interest and replied; “oh, it’s a pity that you don’t get to see each other more often but it sounds like you have plenty of fun to make up for lost time when you are together.” Aurélie wondered if Henry and Cricket were just friends or if something more was going on there, she didn’t ask him because it’s rude and none of her business. Plus, she didn’t want to seem like she assumed a guy and girl can’t just be friends, she knew they could.

When Aurélie heard what Henry said about the monster hunters she was stupefied; “You lived next to people who wanted to kill you?! That’s insane.. And Cricket is a dhampir? Wow, you seem to attract our kind of people, haha.” Aurélie laughed at her own comment. She wanted to say ‘freaks like us’ but chose a more neutral word instead, just to be sure she didn’t offend Henry. Although, she was talking about herself too so she would technically be laughing at herself as well..

“You must have a taste for danger if you dared to mess around with those people?” The girl looked at Henry and raised her brow while she spoke in a playful tone. “I like that in a guy..” Aurélie realised what she had said and awkwardly tried to rephrase; “…or anyone, werewolf, human- uhmm.. I should stop talking now.” The Scottish girl sighed in embarrassment of rambling on. She grabbed the book she had brought out of her tote bag and showed it to the Slytherin to change the subject. “I have a few hobbies, I mostly help Nanna in the kitchen but when I’m free I like to read or explore. This is a book I’ve been reading lately. It’s about a boy who wanders through the woods and finds a wolf that is his spirit animal. It’s also about magic and how he lost his father.. He has to fight an evil villain at some point, that’s the most thrilling part of the whole book..” Aurélie stopped telling Henry about the story because she didn’t want to spoil all the good parts in case he ever wanted to read it himself. “I honestly love adventuring as well! One day I was walking through the forest and I found an abandoned shack, it was creepy but so much fun to sneak inside.”

Henry accepted the offer of going to Diagon Alley together in august and said it would be ‘bloody amazing’, Aurélie answered didn’t have many friends at home to invite so she decided she would ask Henry to invite some of his friends from Hogwarts. “Great! Yeah, we could Eyre too and some others you think would like to join. Maybe you could invite Cricket if it’s not too far for her!”

Hearing Aurélie's answer on what he and Cricket did and also messing with the monster hunter, Henry laughed as he spoke "yeah, me and Cricket are just best friends. Even through we see less of each other now we still have a strong friendship and I was a little kid who didn't know him. I don't have a taste of danger but I do like to explore maybe we can explore together sometime," Henry paused as he threw his fist up in the air and yelled in a joking manner "à l'aventure," Henry hoped she knew that meant to adventure but she probably did before settling back down and speaking again "you mean freaks, you calls us that if you want I never minded. And if you don't mind then you can use it," Henry smiled at her as he thought how much he enjoyed talking and spending time with her as he hoped they would did this at Hogwarts.

Hearing Aurélie talk of her birthday and ask him if he knew anyone that would come and even suggest that he'll invite Cricket, made Henry feel a bit bad for her but he also knew how she felt since he never had many friends or anyone really to invite to his birthdays. Henry smiled at her as he spoke " I like to read to, by the way. It's funny how much we have in common, it's almost like we were destined to become friends," Henry smiled at her before speaking again "I don't think Cricket will come since its rather far for her but I can invite some others if you want, and still even if only 2 or 3 others come. It will still be bloody wicked and amazing."

When Henry balled his fis tinto the air and outed; “À l’aventure!” Aurélie laughed and added “Allons-y!” As they continued their conversation and Henry said she probably meant to say freaks like us instead of people like us, Aurélie agreed; “Yeah, freaks like us, outcasts, weirdo’s, whatever the name is as long as we stick together right? I’m surprised there’s many students like ourselves at Hogwarts but then again I should’ve expected that at a school of witchcraft and wizardry.. haha”, Aurélie chuckled at the thought. Obviously, there’s more freaks like me at Hogwarts.. I’m glad I’m not alone though.

Aurélie listened to Henry tell her about their common interests and how coincidental it was. “Yes, it is quite a coincidence isn’t it. I suppose the universe meant for us to meet, right? I’m glad we met, Henry. I find it easy to talk to you.. and I enjoy you company as well, heh.” Aurélie thought about how destiny had a funny way of making two people bump into each other that happened to have very much in common. She really enjoyed spending time with the Slytherin and looked forward to her time at Hogwarts where they would be able to see each other regularly. “I’m way less nervous about going to Hogwarts now that I know you’ll be there too.” To continue their conversation about meeting up for Aurélie’s birthday, the girl said; “It’s a shame it’s too far for Cricket, I would love to meet her someday. But you’re right, I think it will be a great day, definitely since I’ll be seeing you.” Aurélie glanced at Henry and blushed a little as she confessed that. “I’ll ask a few others but I’ll make sure to send you an owl before then so it’s easier to plan.”

The young girl looked out on the magical view before her. The sky had gotten such a dark tone of midnight blue, only the shadows and outlines of the trees were visible in the distance. Some moonlight reflected and danced on the wrinkles of the water in the pond and together with the tiny hovering lights of fireflies, it seemed like an enchanted scene played before the pair of students. “I suppose we should get going to the celebration soon, It probably started already.” Aurélie focused her sensed and could hear faint music coming from further into the forest. “Are you ready to party?” Aurélie looked at Henry and asked him excitedly. “I’m not that much of a party animal, pun intended, but I think the ambience will be nice.” Aurélie packed her book and empty bottle of lemonade into her tote bag, lifter herself off the giant tree branch and with a light swing in her legs, she jumped onto the ground. Then, she turned her face to Henry, who was still sitting on the branch, reached out her hand to him and in theatrical way offered; “Will you do me the honour of accompanying me to the dance, sir?”

Henry listened to Aurélie as she spoke of her birthday and he felt in his gut that he should say something, so he took a breath before he spoke " that sounds good, and uh... my family doesn't have that much money....uh were sort of poor, so I'll still bring you a gift but it probably won't be the fanciest or nicest out of the group," Henry gave her a smile and hoped that because of that reason that it won't change their relationship as he heard Aurélie ask if they should start to head over to the celebration party as Henry looked at the sky and saw now dark it was, time really does fly when you're having fun, he then heard her make a pun which he added " sounds good and nice pun," which he laugh at a bit before he saw Aurélie stand up and in a very dramatic way she spoke to him “Will you do me the honour of accompanying me to the dance, sir?”

Henry couldn't help but laugh a little, as he decided to take the hand that Aurélie was offering and pull himself up to a knee as he did in a very dramatic or theatrical manner, slightly kiss her hand before standing and saying while still in a dramatic manner "it will be my honor, to accompany you madam," he then paused so he could find the right words since he wasn't a expert at French yet before speaking again " Dois-je montrer la voie, madame?" Which meant shall I lead the way madam, and Henry still couldn't believe that he said that without messing up as he laughed a bit before he started to walk back with Aurélie when he added " so since I'm not the best at French, what about at Hogwarts you can gave me some lessons if you like?"He then smiled as he added " and I can teach you Italian if you like? My mum learn it as a child so everyone in my family speaks it, and if you rather not teach me French then that fine as well. Maybe you can teach me how to bake since your talent is, well what I figured, is one of the kind and unique."

As Henry confessed to Aurélie that him and his family were poor, Aurélie felt sympathy for him. She felt sorry that he thought this would affect their relationship in some way. “Hey, that’s fine... First off, the only gift I want is that you come and secondly, I like you for you. Not your status, wealth, or anything else. This doesn’t change anything.” Aurélie gave him a comforting smile and gave him a soft punch on the shoulder as she added; “You’re still my favourite freak.” The girl paused for a few seconds as she thought of her own situation at home and then told the boy; "I know what it's like. It hasn't always been comfortable for me and Nanna through the years but the most important thing is sticking together, ya' know? Having family, friends and being loved is truly what makes a person rich." Wow, could I sound even more cheesy? What is this, Oprah? "Sorry, I didn't mean to be so... intense, I guess?" She couldn't find the exact word she was looking for but hoped Henry would understand.

After Aurélie theatrically offered Henry her hand to invite him to the dance, the boy returned the favour and dramatically took her hand, gave it a soft kiss and responded; “It will be my honour, to accompany you madam.” Aurélie giggled at the gesture and then Henry politely asked; “Dois-je montrer la voie, madame?” Aurélie raised her brows in astonishment at Henry's near-to-perfect French and replied; “Avec plaisir, monsieur. Je vous suis.” Which was French for with pleasure, sir I follow you. The girl guessed Henry would understand her answer as she walked alongside him, towards the sound of the festivities. For a moment, Aurélie felt like she was in a movie scene. Like a princess being asked to the ball. All that was missing were the golden trumpets performing a melody fit for the scene. Henry continued the conversation by asking Aurélie if she could teach him more French at Hogwarts and in return, he offered to teach her Italian. “You speak Italian, that’s so cool! I do not know any Italian at all but it always sounds so romantic to me. They say French is the language of love but for me Italian is more like it.” The girl paused as she took notice where to step so she wouldn't trip over any branches or rocks and then continued; “I can surely teach you French if you like, to be honest you sound quite good at it already. "

"Perhaps we can do both simultaneously. I can show you how to bake some nice recipes while teaching French.” Aurélie chuckled at the crazy idea. “I mean, I’m not sure if I’m the best at teaching but I would love to bake with you.” Aurélie thought about her words for a seconds, started blushing and stuttered; “I mean uh-, teach you to bake. Or bake together, as friends. Just- never mind.” The Scottish girl felt a little embarrassed. For some reason she got a bit nervous when she thought about spending more time with the Slytherin. Perhaps those weren’t nerves but instead butterflies she felt? Okay, change the subject now, before you embarrass yourself even more.. “Anyhow, thanks for the compliment but baking isn’t really that unique. Although I suppose the way my Nanna bakes could be called unique. You should see our kitchen on a day where she is trying out new recipes. The walls and counted are covered in flour. There are all kinds of scents, sweet, savoury, etc., filling the house... Those days are very chaotic... but they’re also my favourite I guess.” Aurélie’s thoughts reminisced about some old memories she had with her grandmother.

Henry listened to Aurélie as she spoke, he also had to watch where be stepped as he carefully stepped over branches and around brushes as he continued to listen to Aurélie speak. Henry was glad that she didn't mind his family not having much and even knew how it felt herself and he couldn't help but laugh when she called him her favorite freak which he definitely took as a comedian when Aurélie finished speaking however Henry didn't know what to say or where to began as they continued to walked through the forestry and back to the campgrounds and soon to the celebration party something that Henry didn't really care for since he rather just talk to Aurélie.

Henry smiled as he finally figured out the right words before he spoke " your grandmother sounds amazing, I would definitely like to meet her.
And I would love to bake with you, maybe while your teaching me how to bake, I can teach you Italian since you say my French is really good." Henry laughed a bit as he felt comfortable and relax around the girl before continuing " yes, I know Italian. My mother learned it as a child so my whole family knows it but we rarely speak it since it reminds my father of her and sort of forbid is to speak it," Henry brushed past the thought as he spoke " I also speak German, this time because of my father who learned it as a child and made my siblings and I learn it. I can teach you some if you like?"

Henry saw the light from the campgrounds and celebration party getting stronger as they walked closer to the edge of the forestry, however Henry spoke again " I can also play violin and piano, I could teach you if you like? Do you play any instruments?" Henry left out that he could sing to as he continued " I may have grew up away from the pureblood family views, money, and traditions but that didn't mean I got a easy or simple life," Henry laughed a bit as he spoke again " not that I'm complaining, I am thankful for my family. What about you? Anything that I or others don't know about Aurélie Nimco? Only if you like to tell me of course."

Henry continued to walked with Aurélie as he saw they were a mere few feet from the campgrounds and saw the lighting and everything for the celebration party that he couldn't help but say " tout cela est si beau comme toi boulanger d'or," which meant this is all so beautiful like you golden baker in French.
