Roleplaying as Durmstrang iNPC Arjan Oberoi

In reality, Arjan was not entirely sure why he signed up for this event. It would simply get his beautiful hair a little wet and messy. But... it was so hot. Well, compared to Northern Europe, it was far too hot here. The water would cool him down and it also offered him a chance to wreck hell on anyone who dared to approach him. Or maybe go find a cute girl from somewhere.

Dressed in a red t-shirt and a pair of cargo shorts, Arjan made his way to the starting area. Some punny little guy [ALAN] rambled on about something or another. He was not really paying attention, in all honesty. He noticed the small girl near him [BREANA]. She looked rather adorable but far too young - was she even eleven? Next to him, she would look so small. He was not exactly a giant but compared to her, he really was. Not only did he tower over her but his body was far broader. The other guy [JAKE] was so small too. Arjan was pretty sure if he blew a puff of wind at the small fellow, the poor guy would go toppling over. He was so small.

Honestly, was Hogwarts just... full of tiny little people? They all looked so weak. Well, those three did. Even his sister - who he not actually noticed yet - was so small and weak looking. Maybe it was just a school thing. Durmstrang did encourage more sports than the British school seemed to. Perhaps that explained the vast differences between the crowds.

He had no idea, nor did he really care if he was being honest. Instead, he just moved to the little kid, grabbed a bucket of water balloons and went to find a target. Unbothered by the fact that everyone was dashing for cover, he went straight in. Picking up a balloon, he threw it towards the boxes, trying to get it over one of the boxes. He had no idea who was behind the box but he spotted something moving there and that was enough to be labelled as a target.

While Melissa was hiding, she heard footsteps getting closer to her. She braced herself, getting ready for whoever is coming. She did not have a teammate and there was no way anyone would ask her. Then, a boy came. He did not attack. He just tried to hide behind the box as best as he could and said something Melissa would never expect. "Yo, team?" His English was not the best but at least she could understand him. He is probably not from Hogwarts I guess...she thought. If she accepted, then there would be a tiny chance of winning. If she just shot him, he would shoot her back and that would not end well. "Sure. So, what's your name? I'm Melissa," she said. She was still worried that the boy would backstab her in the end. Then, Melissa sensed someone running over to where she and the boy hid. She turned around and saw another girl, pointing her water gun at her. Just as she shot her water gun, Melissa tried to dodge it as best as she could. She did not want want to lose a life at the very beginning. After all, they only had two lives.

Clear, warm, a cool breeze. It was a lovely day for an afternoon adventure. Had she been home, Greta likely would have taken to the forests surrounding her home for a wilderness escapade. As it was, however, she was in London and trapped within the confines of a summer camp. Not that there was anything wrong with that. It just meant that her usual routine included activities she otherwise might have passed up, such as waterfights. Having made a promise with herself to experience as much as she was able during her brief stay in the country, however, she made she to investigate the moment she'd heard the activity peaking. Not that she knew quite what she was getting into when she had set out.

This time, she had ventured out alone. Really, this wasn't so uncommon an occurrence. She seemed to have taken the role of the curious cat in her little group, often darting back to find one of them to return back with her once she'd found something that looked interesting. That would have been the same route she would have taken on this occasion as well had the game not started before she'd had the chance. Her feet had hardly arrived on scene, herself only momentarily aware of the buckets of water balloons and crates that had been set up, when the chaos had started. One moment she was trying to puzzle out what was going on; the next, there were children racing in all directions, taking cover behind the boxes, some grabbing for balloons while others grabbed for strange handheld contraptions, and everywhere there were projectiles and explosions of water.

It was only natural, then, that she would emulate the actions and move to protect herself. Seeing as she hadn't the faintest idea how to use the complicated looking device (a water gun), she hurried forward to grab a bucket of waterballoons. They were much heavier than she expected them to be, however. She got all of about a foot before giving up on that notion and replacing the bucket to the ground before darting for one of the other implements instead. She took a moment to look it over, then watch others making use of it. At least it seemed simple enough, and after a couple of test pumps and a test pull of the trigger, she confirmed its simplicity.

A grin broke across her lips as a bare-chested boy with a black headband [REMI] shouted, drawing her attention. There was something to be said about confidence. There was something else to be said about drawing attention to yourself in the middle of a battle. Aim. Target. FIRE! (Or WATER! in this case). Greta raised her gun and shot a jet in his direction while she darted out of the middle of the battlegrounds in search of cover of some sort. Thankfully, she was a small enough target that anyone targeting her in her retreat would — hopefully — have a hard time hitting her.

Janet was pretty excited to be taking part in a water fight, she used to do them all the time in the summer with her brothers. And despite her large family she knew it would be even better with the amount of students taking part this time. She pondered for a minute, debating whether or not to choose a water gun or ballooon. The most popular choice by far was water gun, and she didn’t want to be a target for all those guns, a bucket was bound to make escape harder. But she did want to take advantage of her strength... After much inner debate she decided upon a water gun. She had a pretty accurate shot, being a huge archery lover.

Janet loaded her water gun and went straight into action, ignoring all the other cowards who had taken cover, carefully keeping an eye out for someone holding a bucket and who would be an easy target. Here eyes fell upon a boy throwing water balloons randomly at a group of boxes that might be hiding a student. She grinned, Janet didn't recognize him, was he a durmstrang perhaps? He had black hair and was really tall, Janet was tall for her age, but even she was tiny compared to him, then again he was probably like 2 years older than her. She brushed her blond hair out of her face and stretched out her arms, aiming the gun at her target's head, as she pressed down she got her feet ready, preparing to run. Her competitiveness had taken full hold of her and she was in it to win it.

Ariana absolutely loved water fights. Contrary to popular opinion, the young Veela didn't mind getting soaked at all. It was all a part of the fun, right? That said, this was a competition, and it was safe to say that she was a very competitive person. Everything in her power would this time be put into, not, getting wet. No matter what. She was sporting quite a simple outfit, her usual grass stained red sneakers matched with a t-shirt and denim shorts; it all complimented the sunny weather rather perfectly.

One thing though. She was late, again. The brunette was practically hopping towards the event as she tied her shoelaces, while attempting to run there at the same time. She approached the activity and strolled over to Jake, sending the hufflepuff a smile as she picked a bucket of water balloons. It seemed quite simple, the rules were dished out by Alan, and Ariana managed to catch at least a few of his words before it was on.

Teams were allowed, and with that in mind, the young beater cast her gaze across the accumulated crowd. Only her smile fractured when she took notice of Janet and her features were limited to a small frown as she swivelled round on her heel. Right, she would work independently for a change. Janet was always saying how Ariana couldn't do anything unless she was chatting or interacting with others. Well the stupid girl would see that Ariana in fact was quite independent. In fact Janet already knew that, but it was a habit of hers to relentlessly taunt Ariana about the fact that she was forever surrounded by people.

She gave an internal groan of annoyance and picked up a water balloon, weighing it in her hands. It was then that the greatest idea that had possibly occurred to her that day came to her. Eyes glinting with renewed malice she didn’t know she had, she glanced over to Janet, a grin coming to her features as she contemplated her options. Well, what a delightful way to get back at her and make it look like an accident, the concept was so pleasing to her that she was filled with a new sense of excitement. Oh it was Janet’s lucky day, the girl certainly did not know what was coming.

Abandoning all attempts at hiding, she stepped forward and chucked the balloon at her ex-best friends back stifling a laugh as she did so, prepared to run. As much as the action was amusing, she didn’t want to be caught and lose a life. Certainly not by Janet either, how humiliating that would be.

Iris came late to the water fight. She still wasn't sure why she had even signed up for this. The Thunderbird heard the tail end of the instructions and was one of the last to grab their weapon. She took water balloons on a whim, really not sure which would be better. She dragged her bucket to a descent spot and watched as everyone hurried to boxes, you really didn't need a box, did you?

She grabbed a water balloon in her hand, sizing up opponents. There was this one boy who seemed to have no mercy. She had to admit that he was pretty good looking but Iris refused to let her mind distract her from what was going on. He seemed to have the macho 'I'm better than everyone else' attitude. Iris was going to help that and possibly make an enemy, hopefully not, since it was just a game, but oh well.

She was thankful for her years in the forest, she had built up pretty good arm strength from constantly climbing trees. It was a slightly odd thing for a girl with two wizard parents to partake in, but she would do anything to get away from her younger siblings. With everything in the woods, she had also learned to shoot a bow. She hadn't done it in a while, but all of that training for accuracy had to count up to something, didn't it? Get your head in the game Iris. All memories aside, Iris sized up the (tall) boy.

With a wicked grin, she launched the water balloon in the air, willing it to land true. If she was going to do things that could wreck her social status, she might as well do them well. Besides, its not like there were very many Ilvermorney students doing this whole thing.

Ever since the water-fight mini event had gotten everyone chattering, Lucille thought it was a good time as ever to get out of her tent and actually socialize with surrounding schools. The eagle had chosen the mighty water gun as her weapon, secretly hoping not to embarrass Hogwarts by losing on the first round. Just as Lucille made it onto the playing grounds the light swoosh of a water balloon plumuted right behind her while she noticed the slightly familiar faces of Hogwarts students squirting guns and throghing balloons left and right. Before she knew it, Lucille had backed herself away from the crowd of familiar faces, and instead in the perfect position to hit a blonde Ilvermorny girl while she herself hit another and much taller boy."Please don't miss, please don't miss, please dont miss."Lucille said, seemingly pleading with the universe. Trying one more time to gather her confidence the eagle aimed her bright plastic gun at the girl hoping it wouldn't just miss her entirely. Right after though, another Ilvermorny student passes by, this time a girl with a her frizzy dark hair in a pony-tail. Not wanting to be the target of this girl, Lucille made the hopeful decision to run back into the Hogwarts crowd.

Another day, another chance to survive. Were Carol's exact thoughts as she entered the water fight grounds "fashionably late" as her father would have said. Maybe after this was over she could said him an owl, it had been forever since they'd last spoken, Ammi wasn't going to find out, she could even ask to borrow someone else's owl!"Perfecto"Carol would mutter to herself happily while grabbing a large bucket of green water balloons. As she tip-toed past the smiling groups of Hogwarts students the serpent couldn't help but feel a bit lonesome, maybe it was because she had been thinking about her father, she was always more vulnerable whether she be actually with him or just longing to have a normal family. "Focus, this is going to be fun."Caroline said to herself matter-of-factly. If this was supposed to be fun then she was going to make it fun, who cared if that meant pushing a few softies in the process? While looking around for potential targets Caroline would walk by a curly haired Hogwarts student aiming a water gun at a barely familiar Ilvermorny student. I'm pretty sure any other person would aim at the curly haired girl, but Caroline? She gladly hid behind the large box with a big number six on it,not paying attention to the other students hiding behind it, though making sure to peak her head on the top as to see what would become of the curly haired girl.

The game began fast and a lot of actions were to be seen. Each student would grab a weapon of their choice and Jake seemed quite overwhelmed, scrambling to give everyone what they wanted or helplessly look on as they simply grabbed what they desired. Luckily there was no one who was attempting to break the rules just yet and everything went according to plan and after everyone had chosen either a water gun or a bucket full of water balloons, the soon second year had a moment to relax, casting a unsure glance towards the Gryffindor who was moderating the event. Alan who caught his gaze would give him a big grin and hold up his two thumbs, signaling the kid that he had been doing a great job.

The Hideouts
Box 1 would serve as a quick hiding place for @Melissa Carson and Johannes [@Astrea Soleil Neptune] The latter would join the girl, quickly offering Melissa to team up with her, which would make the two of them much stronger. Both of them had chosen water guns as their weapon.
Box 2 did not went unnoticed either as @Altair Cometnova quickly decided to play it safe as she dove behind the box armed with a water gun.
Hidden behind Box 3 one could find Alexei [@Anastasia Beckett] and @Cassandra Ironwoods who began a quick chat with the boy, asking him what his plans during the game were.
Box 4 would turn into the hideout of @Eyre Reeves and @Aurelia Roberts. Eyre was thinking smart, asking the girl to team up with him and offering to protect her whenever she would need to re-load her water gun.
Box 5 was turned into a badger den, hiding both @Serena Towers and @Amadea Campbell, making them more difficult to hit from any outsider.
Box 6 was quite the hot spot, serving as cover for @Remi Yao, @Mars T'ien, Caroline [@Lucille Williams] and @Autumn Ivy. It made Alan curious as to how that would go.
Box 7 was going to hide both @Charles Simmons and @Henry Knight both of which had made opposite choices with their weapon of choice.
Lastly, Box 8 would serve as the cover of @Miranda Everest, @Grace Mint and @Paisley Bellweather; all three girls had chosen the water gun.

Katrina was one of the few to attempt a bolder approach of the game, instantly looking to strike someone as she chose a water gun as equipment for the days game. Her victim, Melissa, was hit right as the girl dove behind her box. Perhaps she would have more luck the coming rounds.

Arjan seemed to be quite sure of himself and soon proofed that he had all right to be cocky. With ease he would throw the water balloon making it soar steadily through the air and hit its hidden target behind the third box, which happened to be Cassandra Ironwoods. With this Cassandra would have lost their first life and had one left.

Greta Fransson vs Remi Yao

Greta, in an attempt to hit Remi who was too quick for her to hit, making her miss her shot by a lot as Remi found safety behind a box.

Janet was doing quite the good job as she aimed and tried to aim the water gun at Arjan. Whether it was luck or reflexes is a mystery, but Arjan was dodging the water nonetheless, which would do the boys ego no good. He still kept both of his lives for now.

Ariana was quick to choose her target, aimed the water gun and hit Janet with ease which would cost the latter one of the two lives she had for the game.

Arjan - Evasion

Another flawless dodge from Arjan made it seem that he had in fact instincts that could make anyone envious. Iris attack would miss him wholly, wasting a shot and inflating Arjan's ego.

Lucille Williams vs Iris Fields

Iris Fields nimbly dodged out of the way as the attack from Lucille was directed towards her. Even with the heavy bucket she seemed to maintain a lot of grace in the way she moved.

The Breana Obstacle

As Breana threw some water balloons into the round she would hit Ashlynn Hood, Nikolai Dragov, @Adonis Thorn, @Piper LaMotta and @May Moonstar. It certainly did not look good for them as it meant a lost life for those. But they had another chance and one life left to change the game to their advantage. It could go any way from now on!
