Capture the Base
Interacting as Iris Fields
Iris was up with the rest of the camp when loud booming words echoed through the campsite. Something about a game of Capture the Base? Thankfully, she was already dressed in the same outfit she had worn two days ago (thanks Scourgify). She had just been catching up on a couple letters to her friends back in Ilvermorney, the not as crazy ones, when she had been interrupted by the likely Hogwarts loud students.
As Iris pushed her way out of her tent, she noted the fact there were only a few other students coming out. Two younger Thunderbirds Phylicia and Karilyna and another person she didn't recognize. This whole camp was really weird to her. Usually there were a couple students trailing behind her, she had climbed her way to popularity over the last year after all. So the fact that there hadn't been anyone around her for the last four days was startling.
As a girl who claimed to be the boy's 'partner' went on about the rules, Iris picked at her nail polish. When the boy stated that everyone had to stay behind the line, she took a few steps to the side. She was careful to hide her excitement. It was sad the amount of effort she put in to stay cool, it was only when people weren't looking that she got to be herself.
Then, the game began. Iris felt the thrill of the game and actually got into it. She felt her heart begin and sprinted her way across to the tents. She was going to help Ilvermorney win this thing even if it cost her a few popularity points.

Capture the Base
@Rafael D'SpacitoI am not necessarily one for playing wanton games, and I am certainly not one to digress from my current task on hand. However... Capture the Flag or Capture the Base, as I am hearing it being called, may be useful in warming me up for the upcoming Quidditch game. I must be able to agilely block, protect, and for all other intensive purposes, distract members of the opposite team to effectively prevent them from scoring on my turf.
Dressed in Durmstrang's signature scarlet uniform and bloodred cloak to fully remove all doubts as to my alliance, I stride over to the playing field, where I scan the game for any familiar faces. Of all the schools, it seems that Durmstrang's is rather inattentive, if dedicated to the game, along with the American school of Ilvermorney. It was between that school and Durmstrang that Maddie and I were debating transferring to. In the end, however, Durmstrang's age combined with its general respectability was the winner, and almost a week after I had been accepted, I had transferred.
Well... no time to lose. I may as well get warmed up and prepped for everything that the Quidditch game would throw at me.
I'm not exactly the one to play clean, I am afraid...Cheating;

Mentioning: @Adam Harringtom as Rudolf Novikov, @Ivy Bellamy as Cielle Johansen, @Serena Towers as Arjan Oberoi, and @Margo White as Vita SýkoraWords that Vyacheslav says that are in italics are in Russian. It was the morning of the 4th of July, a date that had no significance whatsoever to the young Russian, and there was a boy's voice that could be heard throughout the camp. Capture the Base starting in five, he said. Curiously, Slava headed towards the area where this game would be held. It might be good practice for the speed and even aggressiveness of a Quidditch game, and he enjoyed physical activity and challenges like this one. He would be offered the chance to represent Durmstrang and prove its worthiness, and regardless of his success, it would be fun.
He heard Alexei snapping at one of the moderators and snorted. Was it a necessary comment? No, and the other Durmstrang students seemed to either be amused or annoyed/disgusted by it. One of Slava's tentmates, Rudolf, ribbed him a bit but they seemed to be on good terms still, judging by the grin on Dolf's face. Cielle spoke to Alexei next and did not seem to share the feeling of amusement. He snickered; she certainly had a good point. Where was the fun in calling people names they couldn't understand? It made them confused and maybe not as confident, sure, but it was a lot more boring. Arjan and Sýkora seemed to agree with Cielle, both voicing that—Arjan directly while Sýkora swore at Alexei. Perhaps he deserved it.
Slava nudged Alexei. “Clearly, they want you to do better,” he said, an eyebrow raised and a challenging half grin on his face. “Regardless, I hope you're awake enough to help us win this thing.” Before long, the game began, and Slava sped off. He made a beeline for base 3, attempting to capture it with the blue flag, not paying attention to if other students were headed in the same direction.Action: Attempting to capture base 3 for DurmstrangStatistics:

Surveying the amassing group of students with a critical eye, the young Gryffindor Captain couldn’t help the air of intimidation that struck his senses, anxiety snaking through his veins. Durmstrang looked… so strong and bulkheaded, though Hogwarts seemed to outnumber them by a fraction. And Ilvermorny… small in number, but between the subtle stench of terrifying presence and the historic mettle of their country, it didn’t look as if they were to go down easy anytime soon. It was slightly disarming, in a way that was hard to explain in words – had they set their school up for failure? Would they be crushed in defeat? Though, the Captain would do well to hide his true feelings – a mask of amusement on his face, he gazed about, looking for a distraction from the feelings ridding his livelihood. And he would soon find one – it seemed as if Rett had decided to ‘grace the field with his presence’. A smirk making its way on the Gryffindor’s face, he decided to attempt in pushing the second year’s buttons – “Three-Hundred-and-Fifty years of Independence, and this is the best you can do?” he asked the boy smugly, shaking his head - a gesture to the small number of Americans on the playing field. “Wow, I’m shaking in my boots.” He was, in a small way, but it was best to keep that a secret. Couldn’t give Rett any reason to think he cared.
It would be then, that the Captain would hear the grating voice of his new least-favorite Durmstrang Camper. “Please, less rules talking, more game, Zasranets.”
Rafael didn’t know Russian, but that sounded like an insult to him. Few people dared to insult him in the first place, but those who did? Wrinkling his nose, his chin jutting up in disdain, he crossed his arms, eyebrow hiking its way into the air. “What’s that supposed to mean, then?” he growled antagonizingly. Then, hearing another Durmstrang girl’s translation, the Captain’s gaze grew harder, jaw taut in contempt as he spoke. “I would try to insult you, but I’m afraid I won’t do as well as nature did.” Then, shrugging, “Why hide behind language when you can say what you mean to my face? Here, I’ll show you how it’s done. [LANGUAGE WARNING]Stop being a pussy-assed bitch boy and shut up, before you really embarrass yourself. You don’t like rules? Don’t play.”
That aside, the game would soon kick off, a chorus of encouragements resounding into the air from all teams as Hogwarts, Durmstrang, and Ilvermorny jumped into action. Pacing the length of the podium he and Tyr stood on, the Captain swung his megaphone back and forth, turning his head to look at Tyr. “Looks like it’s going to be a good game,” he stated thoughtfully. “We may have advantage in numbers, but Durmstrang looks to be a stronger team. And did you feel that terrifying air about that one girl? Ilvermorny has a few tricks up their sleeves as well, it would be foolish to disregard them so quickly.” She listened to the boy, switching so easily from anger to pleasantry. She was often good at reading the auras surrounding people, knowing who to avoid, but this boy was puzzling. With her limited exposure to him, she chose to play neutral lines until she was more assured in his mannerisms. Sending a prayer to the god of silence Hœnir, she bit her tongue, choosing only to nod, acknowledging the boys observations.
“I can’t help but wonder how this game will end…”

──────Cassie v Arjan──────It wasn’t but a moment after Rafael’s call to action, that Arjan would set his dark brown eyes upon his target – the Number #1 Base was calling, its white material tents flapping as a sudden breeze blew in and took a fragment of the oppressive heat that tortured the players of Capture the Flag. And, perhaps the fourth year was onto something with the number one – after all, it seemed as if everyone was occupied in snatching up one of the other lucky numbers for their teams, their efforts leaving the first base largely uncontested. However, stealing the base would be far more difficult than it led on. After all, when Cassandra ‘Cash’ Ironwoods set their gaze on a target, they typically got what they was after.
Arjan was quick, but Cash was quicker. Sliding under the shade of the tent, their golden flag would instantly fall into its hanger atop the metal rafters – one clean movement, dooming Arjan to a quick escape in the hopes of evading capture by Hogwarts. Their actions did not go unnoticed. From the announcers’ position, Rafael would hold up the retro megaphone, his eyes instantly catching the turn of events as a grin began to grow upon his face. “Cassandra Ironwoods scores the First Base for Hogwarts! Damn, Cassie, how’d you do that?” The Captain had only met them a few times, and yet, they seemed to know what they were doing. Had they ever considered Quidditch? Professional sports? It didn’t matter. Their capture put Hogwarts in the lead, giving them a leg up in their efforts to prove their mettle.
Not only was the first base captured for Hogwarts, but it was done so by a fellow Slytherin and tent mate. Although she would never make such bold a statement in the presence of a student from a different house, the young girl felt validated in her belief that Slytherin house was superior to the others. Pride beamed across Tyranni's face for a brief moment before her attention was drawn to the second base.

──────Miranda v Phylicia──────Least shielded from the sun was the second base, the sun’s reflection off the white material giving the tent a blinding hue to anyone who decided to have a go at capturing it. A brave venture, but for fearless Phylicia Stanwood, it wouldn’t be a big deal. The tent must have looked desirable to the Ilvermorny student, the need to defend her team’s name on the day of her country’s independence surely somewhat on her mind. A real shame it was, that only three of her fellow students had come to defend the Americans’ resilient name. Hopefully, their mettle would overcome their circumstances, just as they had all those years ago.
Unfortunately, Miranda Everest didn’t seem to like the idea of anyone other than Hogwarts taking home the bragging rights. The girl had already had a head start, the extra distance enough to secure another base for Hogwarts – with one swift movement, the flag would be hooked in place. Hopefully, the added distance would be enough to allow the American time to retreat – “Miranda Everest captures another base for Hogwarts! It appears Hogwarts has come out in full force with the intent to win!” This announcement would come shortly after Rafael’s. With so many players roaming the grounds, these two Quidditch Captains had to show constant vigilance. Although never having crossed paths with Miranda, Tyranni recognized the fellow student's agility and prowess. She would be a force that the other schools would have to contend with during this game.- Roll Tracker -

──────Slava v Lydia──────Perhaps the saying was true – a woman tended to get what she wanted when she wanted it. This would become increasingly apparent to Slava, first-string beater for the Durmstrang Quidditch Team as he ran into the third base territory in the name of securing a base for his team – that, or perhaps the Hufflepuffs were more of a threat than they let on. After all, Lydia Cooper was a woman on a mission today, her eyes glued onto the white tents of the third base as she moved with stark precision towards her target. There would be no error, no hesitation in her movement – with a click, the flag would be secured, another base claimed for the Hogwarts House. Poor Slava.
There would be no one on the field more shocked than Rafael – eyes wide, jaw dropped in utter shock, he could do nothing but drop his retro megaphone, gaping in shock as he tried to replay the turn of events in his head. Was it a mirage? A trick of the eyes? Surely the sun was playing tricks on his mind. “What was – did you see – ?” he stuttered aloud, looking over at Tyranni. The boy stood in disbelief, Hogwarts continuing to take the lead with Lydias quick maneuvers. If this face down was a sign of the coming match between Hufflepuff and Durmstrang, then the rival school should be feeling a bit of unease. “Yet another base has been secured for Hogwarts! Great job Lydia!” Tyranni lowered the megaphone, looking back at Rafael after the announcement. “Lydia was so quick I barely saw her place the flag. It just seemed to materialize there! Hogwarts is not backing down without a fight.” So far three of the four houses had managed to capture bases for Hogwarts, a feat that was truly incredible.- Roll Tracker -

──────Greta v Cassius──────Greta had surely proven herself in the sports setting before, having secured a starting position on the Durmstrang Quidditch Team, but even so, every amazing player made an error every now and then. Perhaps this error would have to be marked as the girl’s very short moment of hesitation – every moment mattered, after all, in the heat of competition. The split second it took to jostle her attention to the present would surely be enough to turn the tides, for stocky Ravenclaw Cassius Eden had already advanced in on his prey, a good two or three yards before the young chaser as he made his way under the shade of the tent. Securing it would take no time at all, only the click of a flag in place, and another base would be secured for Hogwarts.
The Gryffindor commentator had quickly recovered from his Huffle-related shock, shortly letting the field know of Cassius’s win – “Hogwarts moves in on base four! Congratulations, mate!” he said cheerfully. Then, turning towards Tyr with a small grin on his face, “Wow, we’re on a roll, aren’t we?”
There were only two instances Tyranni had encountered the Gryffindor Captain. On the quidditch pitch during her first game as captain, and briefly at the Blossom Ball as chaos ensued. Both times left impressions that he was not a reasonable young boy, however working beside him during this game, she began to see the boy in a new light. Excited and grinning. “I almost feel bad for the other schools. They aren’t going out without a fight though. And it’s still early, but this is a great sign for Hogwarts!” Despite her initial statement, it was hard to hide back the elation at seeing Hogwarts taking the lead in great strides.

──────Alexie v Vita v Rett v May v Cielle──────What was so attractive about Base V? Was there something lucky about the number, a charm on the tent that attracted unwanted attention from the likes of all teams? It didn’t matter now. It was quite obvious to the average onlooker that the base was attracting some serious attention – three Durmstrang representatives, one Hogwarts, and one Ilvermorny both rushed for the fifth base, eyes locked on the white material tent flapping in the winds with the steely intent to win. Alexie ‘Potty Mouth’ Petrov sprinted for his charge, followed closely by his teammates, the Lovely Creature Cielle Johanson and Martial Artist Vita Sýkora, but they would be no match for the other schools this time, who’s representatives had had a slight head-start – Ilvermorny pureblood Rett Brooks moved with precision, nearing the tent with practiced ease as his fingers reached for a red flag to hang atop the rafters of the tent. However, Hogwarts would strike again, the Hufflepuff second-string seeker May Moonstar snatching the base from his proverbial fingertips, fastening the golden flag to the underside of the metal beams in one swift movement. Go Hogwarts!
Up in the commentators’ positions, the field would hear a massive groan emanating from the lips of the Gryffindor Captain. “No – Rett, run! Get out of there!” he would howl into his megaphone, attempting to convince his acquaintance to escape in a timely manner. Meanwhile, Tyranni would make the quick announcement to the players, “Base five has been captured by Hogwarts!” Finally processing what the Gryffindor had shouted, she had half the mind to remind him not to meddle with the affairs of the game by giving out ‘helpful’ suggestions to the players. How did he even know the Ilvermorny student? She supposed it was when the rival school have visited Hogwarts. It was their job to continue the facade of neutrality to the public despite personal investments that may be in the game.

──────Rudolf v Alan v Iris v Romeo──────Base VI was a different creature, the universe’s strings pulling the sun’s rays into the perfect angle, painting it in an ominous sort of shade – a foreshadowing of the showdown that was about to take place between the three schools. Fearless monster hunter Rudolf Novikov looked to be a man on a mission today, his eyes glued to his target as he raced to save his team from demise. Following him by a hair, was the lovely Alan Vanes, and the beautiful martial artist Iris Fields, both nipping at the Durmstrang student’s heels – it would be hard, even from the commentators’ position, to tell who would secure the position. Despite the fierce battle between the three students, and the precarious positions held by all three, one moment of hesitation being all that was needed for an opponent player to move in the lead, it was as if the young girl could see the events proceeding just momentarily before the occurred. Could this be a small manifestation of her abilities as a seer? Meanwhile, the suspense was killing the Gryffindor commentator, his eyes trained on the turn of events as he brought the megaphone to his lips – “It’s going to be a close one. Which school will secure the sixth base?”
However, the suspense would be short-lived, as the lovely visage of Romeo Marchonne would shortly invade the airspace of the nearest non-Durmstrang player, coming to the aid of his comrade Rudolf – whoever made the rule to not harm girls, obviously didn’t tell Romeo this. The Keeper’s elbow out, eyes locked onto his target, the move would be swift, all his force focused on damaging poor Iris. However, the Ilvermorny girl was quicker than she let on – it only took a dodge to evade the wrath of the strong first year. Much to the chagrin of Romeo, his move was quickly noticed – “Pierre!” Rafa yelled in exasperation, one arm thrown up into the air. He knew his dormmate was crazy, but this was a whole different level of insane. Pointing at the twin of his teammate, he continued to howl his disapproval. “What are you doing, elbowing girls? Penalty! Five minutes in jail!” He would point to the base’s bench, signifying the end of the boy’s elbowing-spree. Still unaware of the boy’s Durmstrang affiliation. Shocked, Tyranni bit down on her lower lip. She was so focused on the three students charging towards the base, mesmerized by the glimpses of deja vu she was experiencing that she had not predicted the cheaters actions, let alone perceived him on the field. Thankfully Rafael was standing at the ready and had penalized the boy for his actions.
It was a shame. Romeo’s sudden decision would be enough to lose the lead for Ilvermorny – Iris yards behind the two boys, the fight was now between Hogwarts and Durmstrang. It was a horrible coincidence, then, that the representative for Hogwarts was secretly a metamorph. The monster hunter would trump poor Alan in moments, his hand snatching up a blue flag and clicking it into place upon the rafters in a practiced movement. Alan would only have moments to escape. In the commentators’ position, the Gryffindor Captain lifted the megaphone to his lips, a dejected look on his face. “Durmstrang steals the sixth base! An impressive feat!” Then, turning to Tyranni, his frown deepened. “I was really rooting for Alan.”It was the end to an impressive streak by Hogwarts. With base six in Durmstrang’s possession, inside a small feeling of defeat had settled in the pit of the young Slytherin Captains stomach. Despite near total control of the field, she had also hoped Alan would secure base 6 for Hogwarts, leaving only one base left. If Hogwarts had gained total control in round one, much pride would be brought to her and the entirety of Hogwarts. “I was too. But I guess I cannot be too worried. We are still playing wonderfully, and my mom was a Durmstrang graduate so if someone else had to capture the base, why not the school she attended.” Little did the young girl know just how much the universe planned on twisting her fate with that of another students, a Durmstrang boy attending the same summer camp. Lifting the old megaphone to her face, she addressed the players once again. “With base six captured, all that remains is base seven! Currently, Hogwarts controls five of the six bases. Durmstrang one, and Ilvermorny zero. Let us see which school will be deemed worthy to capture the final base of round one!”

──────Charles v Karilyna──────The lucky number seven. It was quite a shock to the Gryffindor commentator, that only two campers had chosen this base – the Hogwarts representative, Charles Simmons, a second year dhampir of the Slytherin House had wasted no time at the initial call to action, instantly running towards the farthest and final base. However, capturing this base might prove to be more difficult than any other target on the field – the terrible presence of Karilyna Kawahara punctuated the air around the base, a fearful air that would surely send the hairs on the back of her adversaries’ necks tingling and their hearts thumping in fear. She, too, was on a mission, to salvage the first five minutes of the game by stealing a base for her team. Both on each other’s’ heels, it was now a game of whether Karilyna’s fearsome presence would halt the Hogwarts player – or whether he could power through it and snatch the flag for his team.
Thankfully, it seemed as if luck would prevail this time, for Charles was more Gryffindor than he let on – the boy, through some miracle or act of mettle, would somehow manage to block out the suffocating fear that was Karilyna, his pace never breaking as he approached the tent mere moments before Karilyna, quickly securing the base for his team with a short click. From the commentator’s position, Charles would hear a whoop of victory – “Way to go, mate!” Rafa would cheer, a fist pumping into the air. “Base seven for Hogwarts!”
With yet another base captured for Hogwarts, that left six of the seven bases in their control. The game only having just begun, both Ilvermorny and Durmstrang had a chance to pull back ahead, but Hogwarts had undoubtedly shown up prepared and demonstrated they were not to be mistaken as weak. “So concludes round one! Final results are as follows: Hogwarts has control over bases 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, & 7. Durmstrang controls base 6. Ilvermorny, sorry my dears, but you failed to capture a single base this round. Remember, during this round the bases are controlled. Your goal is to either maintain possession of your base, or capture a base controlled by another school. Hogwarts players, watch your backs. With majority of bases in your possession, the target upon each and everyone of you looms large over your heads.” She glanced back at her co-host, to see if he had any final remarks, icy blue eyes meeting his own brown ones. Unfortunately, she mistook his silence for thoughtfulness - shrugging, he awkwardly brought the megaphone to his lips. "Yeah, what she said." Amadea Campbell, a lovely fourth-year Hufflepuff, would shortly follow, wasting no time in greeting the second-year Ravenclaw. Meanwhile, Ariana Walker would shortly lock eyes with Base I, captured by Cassie. Seeing as it was, in fact, the base in closest proximity to her, she would shortly run into its territory, tucking herself under the measly shade of the tent. A fellow Durmstrang student(Rudolf) made a comment about Alexei's trash talk, which earned an impish wink. Alexei was a somewhat decent sport, and he liked to think he did in fact play as well as he trash-talked. It wasn't even really trash talk, he was just wanting that stupid boy to get on with the game instead of listening to himself talk. A familiar voice called his name and Alexei glanced over at her. It was one of the lovely girls from the first night! "I promise you I am more than used to the heat as you call it, Ariana," he called back before blowing a kiss at the Hogwarts student.
Some girl that he had probably offended in one way informed him that he was being cowardly by not insulting the boy in a language he understood. First off, there was no matching Russian cuss words for tone and creativity in any language, least of all English, and secondly, he would have absolutely insulted the pretty boy in English if he had known any good English insults. "If you're going to translate insults, do it correctly," Alexei snapped back at the girl. "I, in fact, did not call him that, and I think the insult was more than clear from my tone." The pretty boy yelled a bunch of English insults at him that Alexei really didn't think much mattered. If this idiot couldn't tell that Alexei was insulting him until some whiny girl incorrectly translated it, then Alexei really had very little use for him.
He rolled his eyes at the boy who felt it necessary to pile on about his use of foreign cuss words. He honestly didn't much care, since most Durmstrang students thought poorly of him anyway. He completely ignored the lecturing twins and focused on the game.
Slava also thoughts about Alexei's trash talk, which Alexei was only marginally more receptive of. "I'm more awake than you, Slava," he told his friend before the game started. His attempt to capture the fifth base failed. It was disturbingly popular. Hogwarts somehow had all but one of the bases now and Durmstrang had only the sixth base. Shameful. Alexei could not allow that to stand, and so, sprinted towards the fourth base with the intent to capture it, seeing as there was nobody defending it.

Alan had really tried to do his team right and did an attempt of capturing base six as their own, but it seemed like the odds were not on his side. Simply the kid from Durmstrang was quicker in replacing the flag with that of a blue color. However Alan wouldn't stop there, he would still have a chance he just had to take it and be quicker than the other. He truly hoped to do well this time as the other kid seemed much taller than he was but perhaps the near fourth year could use that to his own advantage as he ran past the people with one goal in his mind; to redeem his mistake.
"Sorry," he would said with a grin as he made a risky attempt to dodge past the boy from Durmstrang in order to replace the blue flag with a much prettier golden one that would represent the school of Hogwarts. Alan's chances stood well, so he hoped that he would not end up being a prisoner after this. But like with many things in life he would have to keep a positive attitude and hope for the best! He could do it. No, he would do it!

Arjan was a handsome fellow, with muscles that terrified most people in an instant. It was part of his charm. But where he had been gifted good looks and a great work ethic for maintaining that, he failed elsewhere. He was arrogant and stubborn, which was a bad combination. Durmstrang lost Base 1 because he was not fast enough. And it irritated him.
He was not physically the fastest player. He was strong, accurate, bold and built like a shield. He was not made for attacking but rather, the wall of defense. In an ideal world, he would have returned to the Durmstrang base, defended it and done so well. But pride and arrogance would be his downfall. Without hesitation, he picked clutched his fist and made a dash for it. Back to base number one. He would attempt to claim it, once more. And he was willing to put everything he had on the line to do so.
Hogwarts was winning, by far. They had successfully claimed far too many bases in one hit. He should have protected Durmstrang's assets. A smart person would have. But he was not known for his intelligence. He was known to rush in, stubbornly and claim what he believed was rightfully his. Base one would be under attack once more. He would seize it, if it was the last thing he did! And boy, oh boy, it likely would be the last thing he did. But nonetheless, Arjan had set his eyes on the target and it did not matter how was in his way. He would punch through their defense lines, breaking everyone's noses if he had to. Base one would be his! That was all that mattered today.
They say fools rush in... And Arjan was going to prove 'them' right.

Capture the Base
Miranda grinned as she succeeded in capturing a base for Hogwarts. It was nice to be playing an outdoor sport once again, even if it was a bit more competitive than she was used to.
"Hogwarts for the win," she murmured under her breath, trying not to sound too confident if someone from another school overheard. Miranda didn't want to seem arrogant to anyone who heard her, and she also didn't want to jinx her team. Maybe all of those centaur superstitions were starting to rub off on her.
Shielding her eyes from the bright light that beat down on them, she peered around the field only to realize that Hogwarts held pretty much all of the bases. That was a good sign, although, it was true that there were more Hogwarts students playing than there for the other two schools.
With a shake of her head, Miranda glanced around again and then settled into a defensive position. Since there weren't many bases for her to go after, she might as well stay and guard the once she'd captured. Her teammates could take on the other bases not controlled by Hogwarts.

Feet thudded against the ground in quick succession as she raced towards the fifth base. Arms pumped as though she could somehow make use of resistance in the air to propel her forward. It didn't work of course. Nor was she dressed particularly well for the occasion. The fabric of her skirts constricted her movements somewhat, and here, her stature would be a deficit. Short height meant short legs and short legs couldn't cover quite the same amount of ground as those of the lengthier variety. Nevertheless, none could say that Greta hadn't put in a valiant effort to plant the Durmstrang flag. Unfortunately the Hogwarts boy got there first, planting the flag of gold before she could plant hers of blue.
With a hiss she skidded to a halt and doubled backwards. It had been explained to her that once a flag was planted, any defender of that base could begin taking prisoners. Greta would not allow that to happen. But neither was she satisfied with the outcome. That said, she wasn't one to charge brainlessly forward and commit herself to a lost cause. Especially when there were those who might prove more successful in her wake. With the arrival of Alexei on the scene, Greta retreated and veered for the next nearest base. Fabric of her flag still whipping and snapping with the motion of her running, she raced towards the 3rd base, intent to take control of that one instead.

all of the Hogwarts' team
Lizzie grinned as she watched all but one of the bases being claimed by Hogwarts. Obviously, they were the best school meaning they had the best students. There was also an unfair advantage between the teams because Hogwarts was full where as the Ilvermorny had hardly an members and Dumstrang had a fair amount. No wonder Ilvermorny hadn't caught any bases yet.
The girl stood there grinning widely as the base she had decided to stay near got caught by none other then May Moonstar. Lizzie cheered and said to her, "Well done, May." Even if they may not have been on good terms before [which Lizzie had no idea about why] hopefully they could put it behind them just for the game which would be a huge relief for the little blonde girl.
She still did not want to go out into action because she defiantly did not want to screw up what the team was doing. Lizzie was perfectly fine with staying at her base guarding it with Amadea [whom she had met at the BBQ]. The Ravenclaw quickly looked around for anyone coming near the base and motioned to the older year, "You gonna continue guarding with me?" She cocked her head before turning back to the action.
"Yay. Go Hogwarts!" Lizzie shouted while throwing her hands up in the air. Maybe it would have been better if she had just stayed on the side-lines as a cheerleader instead of being an actual player. The girl's enthusiastic energy would hopefully give all of her team mates a boost of confidence
