The Deplorables Tent Closed

While the group had descended into needless bickering among themselves Geoffrey had made himself a cup of Tea & settled into the area he'd claimed. A pleasant change from his usual experience as the group seemed unfocused on him. Perhaps he should surround himself with those under the influence more often. For he was able to observe them as he skimmed through one of his DADA books. Before long members of the group began to drift off from the others & fell asleep.

It had been a rather uneventful night all in all. His interest had been piqued by a few members of the group. But he would investigate them at another time, he'd spent many hours skimming through his book. Casually listening to the exchanges of the group, fortunately for the boy it seemed none had noticed him. Or his lack of participation, better to gain an understanding of his peers. The way his sister acted with them made him even more curious, they'd bonded or as close to bonded as he'd seen his sister when it came to her interactions with others.

One by one they all began to fall asleep & the Part-Veela intended to follow suit. Normally being surrounded by strangers would have caused the boy to remain awake until he was the last person conscious but due to Erin's presence he had no concerns & knew he could sleep easy. After all he had no doubt that she would not allow the others to toy with him while he slept. Nor was she the type of person to hesitate to act when she needed too. If not for her presence his distrust of people would never have allowed him to sleep.

So as the time passed Geoffrey's book edged closer to his torso, while his eyes began to drift shut. Before long he was asleep & unaware of the events taking place around him. Perhaps he was lucky he would be asleep for what was happening. Then again given his curious nature it's just as likely he'd have reveled in seeing the events take pass. Instead he slept with the assumption that tonight was a typical night for all.
