“I am so excited about all of this. I especially can't wait to go stargazing.”
Lizzie was dragging Ariana [very forcefully, might she add] towards the BBQ, and the young girl's tired legs protested as she struggled to keep up, still one handedly tying her hair into the neatest ponytail she could manage with her right arm. Ariana nodded in agreement to Lizzie’s words absentmindedly, casting her gaze around the crowd. The young beater was definitely excited too, quidditch was something she not just admired, it was her passion, her life. She couldn't believe they were really here. It was beyond amazing.
"I bet it is going to be a magical night."
“I'm sure it will be, now let go of my arm Liz!” She cried, frustrated. The girl had attempted to pull her off just as Ariana reached for a bowl of fruit; half the contents had slipped out as she had been suddenly jerked forward and she sent the girl a glare, readjusting her fork. Although she wasn't really angry, how could she be? It was such a wonderful night!
“Oops, I'm sorry.” Came the reply from her birb friend. Ariana rubbed her arm before following Liz to wherever she was headed. “Where are you going?” She questioned, trudging along as she bit into a strawberry. She was dressed smarter than she usually would have been, [something which her mother would definitely have been delighted about] her usual sneakers and hoodies had been traded for a pretty skirt and blouse with newer white trainers, those of which did not support the green tinge of her other grass-stained red ones. Her hair, which she had grown out during the year, was thick and silky, the dark curls reaching the middle of her back despite her high ponytail. [She still has no idea that she is ¼ Veela] Green orbs flickered down the centre of their encampments. A barbecue had been set up along the side and down the centre a pile of logs had already been laid around for the fire that was scheduled later on.
Ariana had been preoccupied by her surroundings and almost tripped as Lizzie abruptly stopped in front of her, addressing a couple of people she hadn't noticed until now. “Hello. You both look a bit lonely.” Ariana glanced up to who she was talking to. A girl [whom Ariana might have recognized as a third year hufflepuff] and a boy who looked maybe slightly older than her, with light brown hair and dark eyes. Ariana hadn't seen him before, but he was certainly pretty. She stopped, her fork halfway to her mouth, before hastily putting it down and blossoming her dainty features into a kind smile. “Hello.” She greeted, shifting her bowl to her left hand so that she could offer a handshake to the both of them. “Im Ariana Walker.” She cocked her head to the side slightly, turning her focus to the boy, a soft smile still apparent on her face. “I haven't seen you around hogwarts, where are you from?”

Why did all of these events involve fire, Amadea wondered to herself as she scanned the area. If she was being honest, though, her fear of fire was small in comparison to the other reasons she was feeling uncomfortable being here. For one thing, there were so many people here. A lot of them were Hogwarts students, but a lot of them were not and Amadea was feeling very overwhelmed by the sheer amount of people that were attending this event. As she looked around, she had to admire the beautiful set up of the encampments. There were lights strung around as the sun was setting, making it a beautiful sight to see.
As she looked, Amadea tried to scan the place for anyone that she would recognize. She regretted not waiting for her tentmates so they could all attend the event together, though Amadea wasn't even sure if they were coming or not. She sighed. Had she made a mistake coming to this Quidditch event? So far, she had a tent full of tension and feuding friends, constant internal sadness because she was back in London for the first time since her father's death, and horrible social anxiety as she looked out at the crowd of people mingling and having a good time.
Maybe she could just grab a quick bite to eat and then sneak away back to her tent. As Amadea tried to maneuver around the groups of people to get to the food, she finally spotted a friendly face belonging to her fellow Hufflepuff and third year, Frost Cira. Amadea hadn't seen Frost in ages so she quickly made her way over to the girl. As she approached, Amadea realized there was a group of people standing around Frost and immediately she wished she hadn't come over. Amadea didn't recognize any of the other people and it looked like Frost was in the middle of a conversation. Unfortunately, she was already too far over to turn back without looking stupid, so she headed over to the little group and put on her best smile. "Hi everyone," she said. "I hope I'm not interrupting. Frost, how are you? I haven't seen you in so long!" And then realizing that she should probably say something to everyone else, "Oh, um for those who don't know me, I'm Amadea Campbell. Third year. Hogwarts student."── ❋ ──

Welcome BBQ
Summer had officially started. Rose almost skipped to the barbecue from her tent. She was wearing a big dark red sweater over short, pale jean shorts and a tank top. Her red converse were on her feet. Craning her neck to see if she could spot any of her friends, Rose spotted someone she knew very well.
Drew was just minding his own business, looking for his friend Gregorí or maybe some new people he didn't know when he was hug-attacked by a familiar redhead. Regaining his balance and his breath, Drew said, "Rose! It's so good to see you!"
"Same to you," she grinned. "How are you? How's Illvermorny? How are your parents?" she asked him quickly. He took a moment to process and then answered her.
"Great, awesome, and great. How are you?" he answered, taking a step back from his cousin.
"Good. Really good." Rose replied, happiness bubbling up inside of her as a result of their reunion.
"You know what else is good?"
"Mm?"
"Those burgers, I can smell them from here."
"Always thinking with your stomach," Rose murmured, her smile reaching her eyes. "You haven't changed a bit."
The pair made their way over to the burgers. Rose appreciated how the staff had included people who were vegetarian and vegan, but she didn't have to say so for Drew to know.
"So... Got any cute friends?"
Rose opened her mouth in mock-shock. "Drew!"
"Just kidding, cool your jets."
"For your information, I have plenty of cute friends, but you are going to keep your flirty hands off of them."
"You say that like I'm a dirty creep."
"No, just an annoying flirt."

May got out of the tent that she shared with a Ravenclaw, a Gryffindor, and a fellow Hufflepuff. The tent had been quite comfortable, but at the same time, it felt quite empty, so May decided to go and check out the BBQ that the Hufflepuff head of house, Caradoc Browne, was hosting along with the ex-Quiddich captain Saskia. She waved at her, not sure if she could see the little first year soon to be second year Hufflepuff, but still, May decided to smile at her, and waved.
She saw Caradoc Browne, and waved, again, slightly at him, but dropped her hand as soon as she saw that there were a lot of Drumstrang students all around. She felt a little shudder down to her spine, and looked around. She saw a group of people, mostly girls, surrounding something, or someone around the table. May decided to go and sit alone on the grass floor, and wait to see some of her friends, if there were any, there. She saw, at last, Ariana Walker there, in the group of people. I wonder if I should go. she thought. A few minutes passed, and she decided to go and see what they were doing.
She saw Amadea Campbell, a girl that had hosted a game of Gobstones. She waved at her and offered a smile, and then, mooned at Ariana. "Hey." she whispered. Hopefully, the Gryffindor would hear her and reply to her cold 'hey'. Then, she saw a girl that she had never seen before. She could catch her name- Frost. Well, that was a cool name. She half smiled half grimaced at her, but she quickly turned to look at a boy. He was a Drumstrang guy, that was for sure. She waved, and looked around her, to see more familiar faces.

Alan had been quite excited ever since he heard about the camp and even more so once it actually started. He had never been camping before so he would imagine all the amazing things to happen throughout that time and Alan was positive that they all would have a great time. How couldn't they? School was over and there was no danger around anymore which meant that sneaking out past curfew was no longer a threat to his own life! He just hoped there would not be too many mosquitoes. Had he known that camping would include having to deal with so many mosquitoes he would have informed himself better. Luckily he had @Jake Morris who was willing to share his bug spray with the third year. At least there shouldn't be any mosps around here which indeed would be positive.
As he arrived at what he heard was supposed to be a BBQ he looked around to notice that quite a bunch of students had already gathered, which was exciting. He had eaten BBQ before but he never actually watched it being made so he was looking forward to that. As he caught sight of @Santario Martin he would move over to her with a grin on his face. "Hey San, how have you been?" He had not even known that Santario would be at the camp as well, but the realization made him quite happy. It was nice knowing that another of his friends was around and that he would have less worries keeping in contact with her over the summer. He could simply walk over to her and speak to her, rather than having to write owls and having to wait for them to arrive.

So far a lot of things had been disappointing, including most of the people he was sharing a tent with or the fact that they had to share tents with other students in the first place. He had assumed that he would only have to share it with Disa and Ella which he would not have minded at all, but to see a total of six beds in the tent made him want to turn around and just back out. However he could have hardly done that and had to support his little sister in everything she did; except anything he did not approve of. It hardly mattered though, because he was quite proud of her that she had made it onto the team. Of course she would remain second string for now, but he knew that she would not mind that any less and would rather be able to support the team from the bench than to not support their team at all.
The one good thing about this whole situation was that he could see another school's team go down in a competition against their own. The thought alone made the corner of his lip curl up into a smug smile as he made his way over to a campfire. One could say that he had bathed in insect spray as he had used up a fair amount of anti bug sprays within just the first three days of the camp. Luckily the ones he had brought were scentless. He had taken a quick shower earlier which left his hair slightly damp as he combed it to the side and to the back of his neck loosely so that the strands wouldn't bother him when they fell into his face.
Approaching the campfire that he knew would be a BBQ event, he was wearing a pair of cargo pants in a olive hue that matched a shirt that was slightly deeper in shade. With that he was wearing a pair of white shoes [Outfit]. For now he would just be standing by the side, observing the situation and hoped the day would pass without any unpleasant surprises. He wondered how many of these people here were true wizards and how many others had tainted blood flowing through their veins. It was not hard to guess that one of the adults, who he assumed to be either a Hogwarts or a Ilvermorny professor, must be some sort of half breed as his build appeared to resemble that of a sturdy goblin [@Gargott Dunaid].

Okay, time to meet some new people. "Mkay Drew, see you later," she said to her cousin.
He smiled and waved at her. Rose scanned the crowd and saw someone who looked pretty alone. As she neared him, Rose saw that he was a little older than she was and was kinda cute. (Alexei Petrov)
"Hey," Rose caught his attention with her soft, sweet voice. It was strongly accented with an American accent. She introduced herself, "Hi, my name is Rose. Rose Moon. And I'm a Gryffindor at Hogwarts." Rose really thought she was nothing special on the outside, but if you saw the way that the gentle sunset reflected in her emerald eyes and her auburn hair, you would disagree with that. She wasn't tall for her age, but she wasn't short, either, and she had a splash of freckles across her nose. She was wearing a big, dark red sweater over her tank top and pale short Jean shorts.
Rose didn't know why she approached this random cute boy. She really didn't. But she did. And there was no going back now.
She hadn't seen him around Hogwarts, so she wondered if he was from Illvermorny or Durmstrang. He kinda looked like he might be in Durmstrang, but that was just a wild guess.

Hjørdis returned the Gryffindor student's bow with a nod. She recognised her but not well enough to give more information. Turning her attention back to one of the new staff members, she listened. She did not know him very well but he seemed to be enjoying himself, cooking - and eating. With a polite nod in response to the Grounds Keeper's words, "Smart. May as well before there's nothing left," She replied, trying not to smirk at the fact that he had the same intentions by the fact that he was munching down on a burger already. "In that case..." She mumbled as she looked around. Nodding to herself, she confirmed what she wanted, "I'll be back" She said, knowing she was going to get him to grill a bunch of things in a moment if he would. She would head over to the table, grabbing a clean plate and eyed up the table.
Narrowing her eyes at the smirk thrown at her before quirking an eyebrow as though to silently question why. He looked suspicious and mischievous and far too arrogant. He would likely recognise her expression by now - it had been a year of receiving the same message. One that clearly said 'wipe that smirk off your face, mister'.
Her plate was filled with a few vegetables and some slices of halloumi within a few moments. In fact, there was probably a bit too much halloumi but... who did not love it? Hjørdis certainly did. Alright, who are we kidding here? There was so much halloumi, evenly sliced, on the plate and she was hundred percent okay with this. Returning to Gargott after a few moments, she handed over the plate, "Mind grilling these for me please?" She asked, offering the plate to him. Halloumi burgers were necessary to function in life. She could not tell you why but... something about the barbecue just made her crave some.

Translations: Da: yesA lovely red haired girl approached him, and Alexei put on his most charming smile. She had no idea what she was in for. He turned up the charm and met the girl's eyes as she reached him. She was a dainty little thing, reminding Alexei of some of the sweet little fairies in the English stories his mother used to read him. Her pink dress only added to the fairy energy that he got from her, and his cheeks reddened a bit. Accepting her hand, he bowed slightly and brushed his lips against her knuckles. It wasn't something he normally did, but anytime he was around foreign girls, it seemed to go over well. Something about the fact that he was from another country seemed to mean that he was in the realm of fairy tale princes. His accent was another thing that typically drove the ladies wild. Not that he was complaining.
"Da, I am a student of Durmstrang," he said, letting go of her hand and meeting her eyes. "I think I like Hogwarts better though, if all the girls are as prekrasnyy - how you say in English? - beautiful, I think, as you are. What is your name?" His Russian accent was noticeable in every word, and almost musical when he switched to his mother tongue to think. He spoke English fairly fluently, but vastly preferred Russian for wooing girls. He knew he was laying it on a bit thick, but he was only here for a few weeks, so he would need to work quickly.
As if his day was not already made by the approach of one lovely Hogwarts girl, another pair decided to join them. One of them looked almost like a veela, and Alexei caught his breath as she joined the two of them He took her hand and again bowed and brushed his lips across her knuckles. He squeezed her hand gently before letting go. He then turned to the dark haired girl who was also breathtakingly lovely. Again, he bowed and kissed her hand.
It was a slight risk, doing that with three girls in a row, but generally, they seemed to like it better if they believed that he greeted all the girls in such a princely manner. "Very pleasant to meet you, Miss Lizzie and Miss Ariana," he told her. Blushing slightly, he glanced back at Frost. "Forgive me, I have made a terrible mistake! I forgot to introduce myself to you! I am Alexei Petrov. I come from Saint Petersburg. I come with my school, Durmstrang, for the game of Quidditch."
Alexei thought he was going to faint. Another pretty redhead approached and introduced herself as Amadea. He bowed slightly in her direction, but skipped the hand kissing, since she had not extended her hand to him specifically and he didn't want to seem odd by leaping across the circle of ladies. Somehow, his day just kept getting better and better. Another younger looking girl with stunning blue eyes approached the group and waved slightly. He smiled gently and bowed in her direction. Again, he opted to skip the hand kissing, since he could very well yeet across the group, snatch up her hand and kiss it. That would be weird.
If he didn't already think he was in heaven, yet another gorgeous red head joined the group. She seemed focused on him, and so he bowed and kissed her hand before introducing himself. Her eyes were startlingly green and made him have to pause a moment to admire them. "Rose, a pretty name for more pretty girl," he said, smiling at her. Glancing back at the group, he exclaimed "Why did no one think to tell me that Hogwarts does not girls, Hogwarts has angels?"
Glancing around in bliss, he caught sight of a boy from school who he knew to love ladies as much as he did. However, he didn't seem to be having half the luck Alexei was which Alexei found hilarious. Back home, Maksim had a kinder reputation, despite the fact that he was probably as bad as Alexei was, but here he was with no ladies and here Alexei was with the prettiest ladies...

While she was her usual aloof self on the outside, showing none of her potential inner turmoil, Milena was quite nervous making her way over to the barbecue area. She was looking forward to meeting some new people, even if she knew she was not the most... experienced person when it came to approaching people but the sheer number of new people too meet would be daunting. The last time she encountered a situation with so many new people at once was when she first stepped foot into Durmstrang Institute. She hoped Alisa would be at the barbecue, too. At least with her best friend at her side, she would have a familiar face. But, as it was, she was walking over to the shared area on her own.
Once she arrived, she did not immediately get into the think of it and mingle, no, she stayed on the outskirts of it to take it all in. The area was set up and decorated very differently from what she would've expected had her school been the main organiser of this event. Durmstrang events seemed more... severe, not that they could not be fun. This however looked, uh, funky? She wasn't quite sure how to describe the vibe. It seemed her vocabulary was lacking. She would have to remedy that. Still, she could not help but like the atmosphere.
She did notice however that she did not spot any familiar faces yet. Had she simply arrived too early? There might be some clique or other that had decided to arrive 'fashionably late' but as she did not belong to any such group... She did not get the memo if that was the case. Oh, wrong. There was one somewhat familiar face [Alexei Petrov], but that was not someone she was interested in interacting with – his reputation preceded him.
Turning away, she smoothed down her long flowery dress, before making her way over to what seemed to be drink stand that one of the (presumably-)Hogwarts teachers [Kateri Karr] seemed to tend to. It felt strange to have her hair up in this hair-do and not in her normal braid, and it made her a bit self-conscious about her outfit not that she would let it show on the outside. Something refreshing to drink sounded like an excellent idea – and it would give her something to do to help cover the non-existent traces of nervousness. She made her way toward the stand with confident but measured steps.

It seemed miss Fox wasn't one that had been offered much in food options on her life. However before either of them could get down to any choice, they were interrupted by a duo that strolled in loud as their Russian "R" rolled over their tongue. "You mean saignant?" The older man asked with a serious face towards the young man before slowly cracking a mischievous smile on his face. Trying to throw off anyone with a French word you picked up wasn't particular nice, but it sure was amusing. "Medium rare, got it, kid. And welcome. Drinks are over there-" He added whilst pointing with some tongs towards where his colleague (Kateri Karr) would be standing. "I'll get your meat sorted, lad." He winked, assuring the boy he'd get his food in a bit.Interacting| @Lucia Fox, @Ami Procoppio, @May Moonstar & @Hjørdis Jensen

From the corner of his eyes, the Head of Hufflepuff would notice someone waving at him briefly. He recognised one of his own badgers and happily waved back towards May. Eventually the man would place his hand on Lucia's shoulder. "Don't sweat it Miss Fox. Just pick something you'd like to try, and then bring me the whatever it is I need to swing on the barbecue." He winked at the girl before playfully clapping his tongs in front of her and directed his focus towards the large barrel.
Two individuals he found there. The same rotund friend who had not moved an inch since he left him there by the grill. And Nora, who had decided to stock up on halloumi for the next week it seemed. Quirking an eyebrow, he leaned on the bar end of the barrel and smirked. "So... hungry? Miss Jensen?" His eyes first marking the plate in her hands before locking with what he would assume was an imminent glare.
