Goodbye to Goodlow
── ❋ ──@Ami Procoppio | @Pericles Dralt | @Ruby Cazares𝓕ocus on the snake; those were the words running through Amadea's brain at the moment. Shouted by her friend and now ally in this mess of a duel, Amadea didn't dare take her eyes off of the Slytherin prefect. Amadea was going to trust that Ami had things under control with Pericles; she was one of the strongest people Amadea knew, so Amadea would do just as instructed: focus on the snake.
Her knockback jinx hit Ruby squarely in the chest, leaving Amadea feeling guiltily satisfied. Somewhere, in the back of her mind, the good part of her conscience begged her to reevaluate. Was she not the person who always preached about settling one's differences through a constructive conversation and not resorting to such violent tendencies? As much as Amadea wished she could rewind time and somehow talk Ruby out of this, she also knew that Ruby was quite different from her. There was no way that the Slytherin would be satisfied simply talking things out; the only way to teach her a lesson to not cross Amadea was by defeating her, which was exactly what Amadea planned to do.
"Oh boo hoo," Amadea sneered. "Can't handle a little fire? How weak are you?" Amadea was one to talk; even though she had survived flames multiple times, there was no denying the fact that she would rather be anywhere else than near a friendly campfire. "If you wish to talk about retaliation, then maybe we should reassess the sequence of events. If I remember correctly, I was trying to help you pick up your books when you cursed me. Excuse me for my retaliation of Incendio, but I do believe it was quite justified after you attempted to hex me first. Clearly, you know nothing of 'knowing better.' Otherwise you wouldn't have hexed me in the first place." Amadea shook her head. Arguing with Ruby felt like she was running around in circles; neither girl was going to see eye to eye. As much as Amadea wanted to sit down with Ruby and shake her until she could understand Amadea's perspective, she knew it was never going to happen. She had to accept the fact that sometimes people did not get along.
If Ruby was going to turn this into a full-on duel, Amadea was ready. Perhaps she should try giving Ruby a taste of her own medicine. "Mucus ad Nauseum," she commanded, waving her wand as precisely as she could, hoping her spell would hit.
"My goal?" Amadea asked the prefect. "My goal is to defend my honor, and Ami's. You don't just get to hex a Hufflepuff and not expect anything in return." The fire blazed in Amadea's eyes, the feeling of the knockback jinx still fresh in her mind. No, Ruby was definitely not going to get away with this. Being a Prefect didn't mean you didn't have to pay for your actions.── ❋ ──

Goodbye to Goodlow
@Amadea Campbell & @Ruby Cazares & @Pericles Dralt.
Ugh, this was kind of a nightmare. No, not kind of. Definitely a full-on nightmare. Pericles didn't seem to be having a good time with thing either, though, and Ami reveled in the thought of him being unable to do much to help Ruby the Rascally Reptile. At least she was being useful by eliminating the threat of the Ravenclaw prefect jinxing Amadea while she was focused on Ruby- Peri was merely rolling around on the ground, desperately trying to escape the stank of Ami's pickled coffee breath.
But even someone as self-centered as Ami could understand that Pericles was growing angrier and angrier with his predicament and current pinned position on the ground. She grimaced slightly at his snarling visage, mentally noting to never anger the Ravenclaw again after tonight. Man, who would've thought that sweet little Pericles was actually a bloody-thirsty hexer? She heard him cast a spell again, and while she didn't immediately recognize it off the top of her head, she decided that she would have to take a reactionary action before she got turned into a porcupine.
But what could she possibly do at such a close range? It wasn't like she could do an epic flip and then kick Peri in the stomach... not only would that be really hard to do, but she'd likely feel bad afterward. She wasn't heavy, by any means, but Peri was tiny compared to her. Pulling off some epic kick-flip stunt would likely force all of the Ravenclaw's guts up through his throat, which was not where one's guts were supposed to be forced. In fact, one's guts shouldn't have been forced anywhere. She knew the guilt of accidentally slaughtering the prefect pinned underneath her would be insurmountable, so she settled for the next best thing.
"Oh, no you don't..." she muttered under her breath, not putting quite as much pressure on the poor first year as her arms and hands shifted, slowly revealing her true intentions. Mercy would not be on the menu tonight for Mr. Dralt. "Watch out for the tickle monster!"
For the love of God... he was 11, not 4. What did she think this was possibly going to accomplish?

Things were going from bad, to worse, to weird. Ruby had been hit with the infamous Bogies curse. By now, her sinuses were starting to flood, and in no time at all the awful green gobs would be oozing from her face. She tried to exact ultimate revenge against Amadea, but just before her supercharged Incendio could hit its mark, the third-year Hufflepuff ripped off her blindfold and leapt out of the way. In the background of all this girl beef, Pericles had exacted a revenge of his own, hitting Ami with the tickling charm. Yet despite the fact that her body was outright aching from tickles all over, Ami- like an ape that drank three bottles of syrup- tapped into some breed of freakish strength and effortlessly tossed the small first-year over her shoulder.

Goodbye to Goodlow
Third-years Amadea and Ami were holding a farewell ceremony for a friend on the grounds after curfew. Ruby, second-year Slytherin prefect, came across them. Dea hit Ruby with a Flipendo as payback for their last encounter (during which they bumped into each other, so Ruby hexed her, so Dea set her on fire). Ami, hearing her friend had been hurt previously, told Ruby to get lost. At this moment first-year Ravenclaw prefect, Pericles, who was supposed to be patrolling with Ruby but stopped to use the loo or something, caught up to the Slytherin and believed she was being jumped by two rule-breakers. Finding Ami looming over Ruby, he cast Verdimillious at her, but missed. Ruby used his appearance as a distraction to cast Tarantallegra at Dea (it missed and almost hit Pericles, but he dodged). Dea cast Rictusempra back (but critically failed, hurting herself). Ami, who wasn't the best at magic, decided to tackle the first-year kid, successively getting both of them involved in the Girl Beef. The Story So Far
Peri tried to Wingardium Leviosa Ami off of him, because she stinks like pickles, but she shifted out of the way. Ruby tried to help Flipendo Ami off, but Ami managed to roll out of the way, and continued to grapple Peri down. (This next section was rolled for by Dea, just not posted yet). Dea cast Flipendo at Ruby, hitting her. Ami began tickling Peri, throwing off his groove, so when he tried to Rictusempra her back she wiggled out of the way. Ruby hit Amadea with an Obscuro, blindfolding her, but not before Amadea hit her with Mucus ad Nauseum. Dripping boogers, Ruby tried to hit Amadea with an Incendio Duo. Amadea managed to take off her blindfold and dodge. Pericles hit Ami with a tickling charm, however, Ami managed to pick him up anyways and has begun to carry him.Posting Order: @Pericles Dralt → @Ruby Cazares → @Amadea Campbell → @Ami Procoppio

Goodbye to Goodlow
"Watch out for the tickle monster!"@Ruby Cazares / @Amadea Campbell / @Ami Procoppio
Pericles' expression changed from one of icy anger to a black, unforgiving glower.
Don't, said the glare. Don't if you value your life.
Ami tickled him all the same, though the results of this grievous mistake weren't what one would expect. Pericles did not laugh. His body froze in entirety, gone rigid and tense, balled and breathless. His jaw clenched tight, teeth bared with eyes round in a nigh manic expression of pure agony. Had he ever been tickled before? Maybe by his big sister, when he was an infant, but not since then. If he had, he'd blotted out the miserable memory. The boy hated being grappled, now there were no words to describe how he felt about this, fingers jabbing and writhing in terrible tandem like the appendages of a centipede. Ami then elected to add insult to injury, grabbing the petrified Peri with her beefy hands and hefting his tiny first-year body up onto a shoulder.
Pericles seized the opportunity. He jabbed his aspen wand into Ami's armpit with a choked wheeze: "Rictusempra!" At long last, a spell struck. But it didn't help. Ami, in spite of suffering a revenge tickling all over (because what sort of savage uses their hands to tickle people), kept her grip on him. If Pericles' personal space hadn't been violated, eliciting emotions he didn't even know he had the capacity for, he might have been impressed. Instead he was disgusted, if vaguely horrified. "What's the matter with you?!" Then, hissed with a twinge of anxiety, "We have to stop them." Pericles plainly decided that Ami was too busy hauling him around like Kong carrying a damsel in those old movies. Her priorities were out of line, she would be of no help to him, he had to stop this himself. Those girls over there were trying to curse and set fire to one another, for Merlin's sake. Another attempted jab with the wand, this time paired with a barked "Spongify." He would turn her legs to jello, or better yet, her meaty arms. He would hex her all night if he had to, but physically hitting a girl was out of the question, even though Peri was no longer positive that Ami was even human.

Goodbye to Goodlow
~ * ~Amadea was mocking her, saying she was so weak that she couldn't handle "a little fire". Being burned doesn't feel good and people shouldn't have to handle that. “I can handle it,” she hissed, “but that doesn't mean it's right. What kind of person responds with fire for something like that? Sure, I hexed you, but setting someone on fire just isn't equal and you should see that!” She was interrupted when she was hit with the spell, having to wipe away snot if she wanted to try to retain even a tiny bit of dignity. Her lips curled with disgust and her face scrunched up before she glanced back at Amadea and rectified her expression.
“Yeah, it's unpleasant, but what kind of a weakling or cruel person are you if you think setting someone on fire is an equal, justified response to this?” She shook her head in disapproval, smirking slightly as if amused by the fact that Amadea could potentially be in the wrong. “What a good example you are, teaching younger children to fight back with fire over a minor attack,” she commented sarcastically. “Well, I suppose I should follow what my elders are teaching me.” She shrugged, and cast Incendio Duo at Amadea. Unfortunately, she missed, which was irritating, and Amadea had already taken off the blindfold.
“Your honour? Your honour?” she repeated incredulously. “That's what this is? Because I told you you'd get detention for being out here at this time? How will that prove your honour, and to whom? If it's to me, I'm never going to view you and Ami as honourable. If it's not to me, what's the point? No one besides Pericles is here. How would making me unconscious even prove that? You're behaving illogically.” It was far too late to stop, at least on Ruby's end, so she attempted to cast Incendio Duo at Amadea, hoping that this time it would hit.For moderation (year 2 info):
