“I mean, they're all very well, but seriously... You haven't lived if you've not read any books by our community.” Lucia said.@Lucia Fox
Sorry for this late reply
“Well, yep, I did have read our books——but muggle fictions and novels were very interesting——maybe more interesting than our novels. I like their movies too.” She paused a little, then answered Lucia’s opinion on the muggles’ imagines of them. “Their imagination do run wild. Or pretty wild. I think we could all be superheroes in the muggle world.”
Lindsey grinned. To be frank, she did want to become a superhero when she was young, or when she first showed her magical abilities and have just watched a couple of muggle superhero movies. She wasn’t really into comics, but movies were alright. She sometimes admired those “heroes” on the screen, and hoped she could be among one of them.
“By the way,” Lindsey said to Lucia. “Are you going to the Summer Camp?”
So far, Lindsey have already asked this question to a couple of friends and acquaintances, but they were almost all not going. Alina and Clifton seemed visiting each other over the summer, and she hadn’t asked Alexa yet. Leonard said his mother had won his father at last, so he would not be going either. For Lizzie…Lindsey had a time not seeing her vigorous red haired friend.
Anyway, Lindsey hoped that Lucia’s going——so that she wouldn’t regret on her decision to go to the camp.

Sorry for the late reply as usual *sigh*, @Lindsey Springhall"We probably would," Lucia smirked, in response to Lindsey's most likely correct hunch that the students (and teachers!) of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry would all be labeled as 'superheroes' in the muggle world. Her smirk slid off her face, though, as she added with a tone of bitterness in her voice, "Or freaks."
Lucia pursed her lips.
"Summer camp? Yes, I'm going, are you?" Lucia asked, leaning against the wall and wincing as someone playing a - was that a clarinet? - squeaked on a high note.
Lucia couldn't wait for summer camp. She was going to be in a tent with three other first years - wait no! Make that 'first years, soon to be second', Lucia thought with a smile.
The two Gryffindors were Scarlett Aden and Jo Morgan. Lucia had never met Jo, but she had met Scarlett once and decided that she liked her, though she certainly seemed to have a personality as fiery as her hair.
Then there was Lucia, and another Hufflepuff: Akina Kuroshima, (whose last name Lucia couldn't pronounce - and she wasn't going to try) whom Lucia had again only met once, but she was friendly and kind so Lucia was looking forwards to sharing a tent with her and getting to know her more.

Mentioning tent mates
“Summer camp? Yes, I'm going, are you?” Lucia answered.
“Yeah, I’m going as well.” Lindsey answered.
Lilith had sent her an owl to invite her to stay in her tent. She had only met the girl once, but she seemed alright. It was said that Lilith was held back and would not graduate like herself and Theseus. She did not know whether it’s true or not, but maybe…since Lilith’s birthday was on September 1at.
Honestly if the kind and good Theseus was not staying as well, she might wouldn’t consider. After September, she and Theseus met in an errand and she felt good for him.
Two new students would be coming as well…she did not know them. Maybe they were Lilith’s friends? Cause she really hadn’t heard of a certain Carina and a…um what’s the other’s name?
She sighed a little. But hey, there would still be great events during the camp!
“Are you looking forward to some specific events? she asked Lucia. “Like the stargazing one? Or the BBQ?
Personally she was attracted to the trip to London. She had grown up in Kensington, and would really, really love to be somewhere near home. Though some parts of London wasn’t as great as Kensington…
“The Quidditch match would be exciting! Bet we Hufflepuff would win!”
They must win. Time to let those Durmstrang guys feel bad. Although she wasn’t a team member, Lindsey still believed that her housemates were the best.
After all, they had already defeated the other three houses in Hogwarts, right?

Sorry for the late reply, @Lindsey Springhall!"I can't wait for the stargazing," Lucia admitted, adding with a slight flush of pride, "Astronomy is one of my best subjects."
Lindsey expressed her confidence in Hufflepuff's victory against Durmstrang, and Lucia didn't disagree.
"Definitely!" she said enthusiastically, "Although I've heard Durmstrang tend to cheat, so we'll have to hope there's a good ref."
Lucia wasn't a Quidditch player - or, indeed, very good on a broom at all. She spent most of the time worrying that she was going to fall off or drop something, and had no stamina to keep going all that long anyway.
She did, however, enjoy watching a good match - after all, name a member of the wizarding world who didn't! That was a rhetorical question, of course. Even Lucia knew that there were some people - take her younger sister Briar for instance - who just didn't see the point in Quidditch, and she wasn't going to get mad at them about their opinions.
Even if those opinions were wrong.
There was just something utterly thrilling about watching the players weave through the sky like shooting stars that Lucia couldn't ignore, even if other people could.
"Do you play Quidditch?" she asked Lindsey.

“Really? I’m not really good at Astronomy——those planet names give me a headache. But maybe I have to study harder.” she admitted.
Charms was something the girl liked. Casting spells was amazing. And she loved potions as well. Mixing ingredients was fun, but remembering dull things was definitely not. She remembered the times when she studied in the muggle primary school——her history was almost awful, but instead, math and science were great. Maybe she’s just not very good at remembering things.
“If those guys indeed cheat, I’m not surprised.” Lindsey answered. “They are somehow…well at least I don’t trust those Russians. I believe Beauxbatons is a lot better, and Ilvermony is not bad either. I know little about Ilvermonh though…I heard they have four houses as well, but all with ridiculous names.” What’s it called again? What Serpent? And there’s a thunderbird if she’s not mistaken? Intriguing. She had never tried to remember those, since none of her family or friends were there. But maybe, if someone’s actually transferring or a friend of her family turned up and announced that their children attended the school, she might give an effort on it. However now, just no.
Lucia started talking about Quidditch. “No, I’m not on the team.” she answered. “But well, actually both beater and chaser are good for me. I hope to get on the team sometime though. Maybe fifth or sixth year? I dunno really.” Lindsey shrugged, and hopefully, she hoped this topic to be dismissed. Before she actually got on the team, she would just prefer to not talk it.
She smiled, and turned to Lucia. “Anxious for the exams? Or not?” her tone was pretty teasing, and it seemed that she was just joking. “Apart from Astronomy, my History of Magic is definitely not really good as well. Do you, by any chance, is good at it?”

Interacting with @Lindsey Springhall"Oh, I have this little phrase I use to remember them," Lucia told her fellow Hufflepuff, leaning against the wall.
"My Very Easy Method Just Speeds Up Naming - Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune!" she recited with a smile of pride. "You just have to remember not to get Mercury and Mars mixed up."
Lindsey expressed her opinion on the other schools, and Lucia inwardly had to agree.
"They're all named after animals, I think," Lucia said, brow creasing in concentration. These were the sort of moments when she wished with all her heart that she had the same photographic memory that her other two sisters shared. "Magical ones. The only ones I can remember are Puckwugie and Thunderbird. Wasn't there one about snakes as well?"
Lindsey, it turned out, wasn't on the team but hoped to be, and before Lucia could reply with a reveal of her own not-very-good quidditch skills, Lindsey changed the subject.
Exams?! Why was the only thing anyone wanted to talk about exams? Lucia would rather just forget them as soon as possible.
"I-" she began, but Lindsey talked over her, not seeming to have heard.
"History of Magic?" Lucia barked out a laugh. "Yeah, right. I'm not sure I could be good at History of Magic if I tried."
Lucia's tone implied that she didn't try at all in History of Magic, and it was true - she didn't.

She nodded when Lucia listed the star’s names. She frowned when hearing Mercury. Mercury. It reminded her of Cricket Mercury, the weird Gryffindor girl. When they were paired up for a potions class, it wasn’t really a good experience. But they had only met once. Maybe their next encounter would turn positive, though Lindsey just did not believe it.
But her mind was soon dragged away from the unhappy thoughts of Cricket. She listened curiously about the Puckwugie and Thunderbird house. That indeed sounded interesting…but definitely as gorgeous and tempting as Hogwarts houses. She preferred to stay in Hufflepuff, rather than that weird Puckwugie.
Lindsey chuckled hearing Lucia saying that she wasn’t sure whether her History of Magic class was good. Seemed that this class was quite hard, somehow.
“Yeah, I’m quite struggling on it, though it’s better than Astronomy for me.” she said with a small sigh, “Maybe I should study harder on these two subjects…”
Her words faded into the air slowly. Courses were always something students were struggling with. And what could they do? Only to study hard, right? But that’s not easy for everyone. Never easy. For herself it was quite good, but for others it maybe not. Intelligent seemed had became a trait of many people nowadays, but how many could actually get a good mark? That’s indeed a question.
Lindsey’s eyes fell on the piano over there. She was tempted to play, somehow. But maybe not today. Talking with Lucia was a great pleasure, and, and she hoped that they could be talking like this forever. No more difficulties. No more miserables. No more rivalries. Only love, friendship, and family.
That would be good. But she couldn’t achieve it. She had to face everything. Face her enemies. Mercury was only a start, and there came that Henry. He was even worse than Cricket.
Still a small sigh.
“Lucia…” she started, not knowing why she uttered these things out. “Do you have an enemy like acquaintance, or a rival…?”

Lucia was rather startled at the rapid change of subject. Rivals? Enemies? How had Lindsey gone from Astronomy to enemies? Huh... Maybe she happened to hate someone in the same Astronomy or History of Magic class as her - Lucia didn't know.
"Um, not really," she admitted, clearly confused. "Why? Do you?"
The Hufflepuff wasn't quite sure why she was asking - surely it was Lindey's choice whether or not to tell the girl about her relationships with other people, but then again, she had started the whole conversation topic.
Lucia thought hard - it was true, what she had told her fellow badger. She had a few friends, one or two close friends, a whole bunch of aquatences, but no rivals. Huh. That was good, right? Or was having someone you hated who hated you back some sort of rite of passage in the world of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry? What with all the wierd social stuff Lucia had had to wrap her head around already, she almost wouldn't have been suprised at the idea of rite of passage enemies. She supposed that any enemies of her friends were her own enemies, but she hadn't actually met any of them.

Permission of godmoding Lucia leaving grantedShe was a bit amazed at herself asking such a random yet unusual question. No. Why did she say so? She didn’t mean to…well. Okay then.
“Never mind, really.” she answered briefly. “Just…thoughts went to that point.” with a small grin, she slowly dragged her flute out. Maybe she’d play it again for the last time tonight…cause it was late already, and nearly curfew. Merlin, Lindsey never wanted to be caught by a patrolling prefect or professor. She was always obedient to rules, and possibly she didn’t want to break it. She had to keep her record of never getting into a detention during first year, and probably, during all seven years. “You want to have the last tune tonight?” She grinned and offered, while slowly raised the flute to her mouth again. One last tune and then went back to the common room together…she felt quite satisfied. The evening of Huffle common room was always cozy, and she bet today it would be comfortable as well. Spending time out let her feel a bit tired, and maybe she needed some rest.
She finished the tune soon. It was dreamy…just like the one she played before Lucia joined in. Lindsey was somehow grateful for her grandmother teaching her these tunes, for she had proved before that they could be very useful when you were not feeling very well. And she had always believed that music was a way to make new friends. It was great…that she proved it right today. Putting her flute back to its case, she smirked. “Let’s get back to our common room, guess it’s quite late now.” she offered to the raven haired girl. Somehow she missed the cozy soft sofas now…
With a grin she led Lucia to the entrance, and descended the stairs with her. Heading to their common room with her housemate as well as her new friend, Lindsey had decided that this evening was worth it — after all, she had enjoyed music, and most importantly, she made a new friend whom she valued a lot. Her chocolate brown eyes sparkled. This feeling was great!THREAD FINISHED
