(I'm just looking to see if there's anything considered uh a maine staple I can afford to make here what with the expensive prices for seafood...)
shockingly it was cheaper up in maine to get three whole lobsters >.< than it was to get *two tails* frozen at walmart here.
PLUS we only went "deep sea fishing" for like 15 bucks a person (though technically it was free for us due to a deal with the organization that was working to make my brother's dreams come true. And his was to do things in Acadia, hence why we went up to Maine last year. It wasn't disney, it wasn't anything too.. uhh.. ridiculously expensive but at the same time it wasn't make a wish it was a smaller organization.)
And we got to keep all of the fish we caught that we could legally keep
and since we kept reeling it in, we kept half of them and it was still a HUGE freezer bag (like those uh big white bags that keep things cold or whatever when you seal it that has the silver thingies lining the inside? with a gray plastic clamp at the top?) that we kept. I did find out I don't like mackerals because the scales (I don't eat fish often so I did not realize if the scale was meant to be eaten or not) made me feel like puking.
