You're good Paris! This is actually a super important question! And the answer is kind of a wonderful paradox! You get trusted partners by both being trustworthy yourself and also by trusting in the other person! I know that might sound weird, but somehow that's how humanity functions (when it functions well)!

A sort of concrete example is, ironically, exactly what you're doing right now! You're trusting a bunch of strangers here with a certain vulnerability that you have. This, in turn, causes people to react to you. The vast majority of people will respond to you with kindness, with help, with encouragement, with offers to RP together. As for the minority --- let's just say that Hio staff does an admirable job of yeeting people that might try to enter this place to cause trouble.

So yeah! I'll offer Colin: if you'd like to try for Paris to interact with half wild werewolf fifth year, I'd be happy to do that!

I can also say from experience that the folks who are talking here now with you --- Emily, Avery, Sage (these are ones I know best, but there are loads more!) --- are or could become trusted partners!

It may take a few tries, Paris, but once you establish a relationship here, you'll be amazed at how strong the bonds can become. I have trusted partners I've been writing with since the beginning of my time here that I consider real friends. And some who are getting close to that! I know of some folks on here who went on to meet in real life, fall in love, and actually get married to their Hio partner!

But it's also true that most of the people you see in your year will fall away or find something else more interesting. That's just a reality of this kind of forum. It does take some work, and leap of faith on both partner's part --- but just think of the stories you can tell with Paris! It's like with Colin and Emily, or Colin and AngelFyre, or Colin and Mey & Jun. It requires some effort but for me I've found them all to be absolutely amazing writing partners!
