Yes, I chose perfectionist for Noah's reason- for his 1st year. It's described in his trunk. His Healing Sage ability is in his second year, also defined in his trunk. With those, includes a link to his ability application.

TRY doing it, it provides benefits. Of course, never apply for Crucio, Imperio, or the Killing Curse.

You can always apply for this years ability later. Like, you haven't decided about it yet or don't have the time to apply for one and apply for it next year with the ability slot you get next year. It's up to you! But abilities always give benefits for main story and moderated events, thats why I always apply ASAP when the year starts
