Poor you! That’s terrifying! Last night we had a tornado but we’re okay. An idea of how not to be scared is maybe to think of all the things that are still standing and how strong they are. That helps me with this type of thing.

Glad to hear you're safe! I hope the rest of the people in your area are too. But personally, I have a good idea of what calms me down and that's sometimes different for everyone. Telling yourself that you're fine and okay is what I usually do, I say it out loud - simply cos it's nice to hear it out loud than in your head.
