Ana laughed slightly at the idea of Marshal being remotely intimidating. There were many, many things that could be said about him, but intimidating wouldn't even in the top one hundred. He was about as intimidating as a marshmallow. Or a Marshalmallow. She smirked slightly at her own pun as she walked. She wouldn't share the nickname with him, as it would likely come off as a tad demeaning, but as always, she was quite amused with her own wit.

"If he's disturbed, he ought to go punch someone or get some help, not subjugate poor painting occupants to a life of misery," Ana replied, with another small laugh at Marshal's suggestion of flowers as an alternative subject to paint.

At Marshal's questioning of the painting, an impressed eyebrow rose. He was clearly a tad more observant than he liked to let on, which made Ana respect him slightly more. Not that much, considering how they met and that her mental nickname was definitely still Marshalmallow, but a bit more. Her eyes flitted back to the painting to discern how he might respond to that.

As her gaze traveled to the corridors behind them, she noticed an odd flickering of the lights. What the bloody hell was going on? Even in the magical world, lights flickering were a bad sign. She vaguely registered the painting's name, Gaiz Toa, and some talk of a girl, but her focus was on the flickering lights. None of these names sounded at all British or were anyone she had ever heard of. The latter part probably had to do with the fact that she would forget anything she learned about History of Magic the moment she took an exam on it. Still, the names definitely weren't English, and she almost wondered if they were some sort of anagram altogether.

Huffing slightly and pursing her red lips, she scanned the area around her and the painting in an attempt to figure out exactly what was going on. For something supposedly life-threatening, this was rather boring and was beginning to seriously regret abandoning the Masquerade and more specifically her date. She had been having a lovely time and then that ghostly rider had burst in.

It wasn’t surprising that she had failed again. Not even a little bit. Mr Treasure Map — she called that man like this from now on — said playfully. “Not with that attitude, we won’t. Be a darling and run along with the others if you want to solve this mystery.” She shrugged. Not even a little bit trustworthy, huh? Though at least she got the information of moving on. Not very bad — at least it seems now. She was always optimistic. Maybe a little bit too much.

She heard Wyatt suggest moving on. “Oi, I’m comin’!” She answered, then got back to his side. She knew that he was right. There was no time was to lose. Two more people may help a lot, right? The ones over there needed them.

And there she was. Beside the Gryffindor common room. To be frank, it was the place that she was always dreaming. She had wished to be a lion from the very beginning, though the sorting hat had rejected from the very beginning as well — this was her brother’s house, the house that she loved a lot. Though she still found herself most connected to Slytherin. For instance, Wyatt —

Oh no. People. People everywhere. Although she was not afraid of meeting new people, and in contrast, she liked it, people everywhere made she cannot see things clearly. For example, the thing they were busy investigating. Lindsey perceived it was a painting. Huh. She didn’t trust those paintings anymore now.

She had spotted Leonard in the crowd, and Marshal as well. Were they solving…solving some mysteries? Or had they already spotted something? She wasn’t very sure. Maybe she should do something others hadn’t tried yet…and her ears caught the name “Giselle”.

“Giselle, Giselle.” she muttered to herself. “Why, if it’s just a coincidence…the ballet. Giselle was gone. Though she was died according to her own will. Not be stolen by others.” the ballet had came back to her mind. Her father took her to watch it when she was quite young, but the sad love story remained in her head. Now it was back.

“She was forced to leave a count. And they danced. So what if…” her voice faded in the air. Slowly turning back to Wyatt, she asked. “What do you think?”

Despite other events during the night would say otherwise, the lemon sherbet he ate didn't have any effect on Nick. It was pretty nice and sweet, if not a bit stale, possibly sitting there for a while. He wouldn't eat the other candy, for now.

The painting that Nick had been lead to was quite rude, though that was expected from a lot of the paintings. Even if a lot of them weren't just generally perturbed, a bunch of children bombard him with questions must be quite annoying. For once, he didn't just blab what he thought of someone to the entire group, because he didn't want to upset the painting into giving them information they needed.

While some other students might be annoyed with Henry's approach to the situation, Nick didn't. He was very charismatic with the portraits and seemed to be getting through to them. Plus, he was giving the clueless Slytherin a bit of direction. "'ve got a feelin' the only thing that'll swing this portrait intae saying anythin' is bribery. 'm happy to look for clues but maybe an exchange o' information with this classy lad might be a good thing tae try." Nick said to Henry in response to his proposition. Henry was definitely the more charismatic of the two so is one of them is going to be doing the talking, it should be him.

Henry had suggested searching for clues and Nick decided to search what was right in front of him. Someone of the students were pointing out improper composition in the first painting but Nick didn't know much about that. He was, however, well versed with the walls of the school, constantly running his hand on it while walking to classes. The paintings couldn't be the only ones involved in this since, they're paintings, so Nick decided to observe the wall around the painting. Perhaps there would be something in the creases or something sticking out nearby.

Mars hefted the painting, legs planted firmly against the floor and arms straining under the weight of the wood. They sent a silent apology to the bleeding occupant, hoping that they weren't worsening his wounds. Geez, why was this so heavy?

Leaning half of it against the wall, body still underneath to prop it up, they glanced at the thing that had just been revealed. Numbers... numbers? A countdown from the looks of it. Well, that was sketchy. But for what? Mars craned their neck around as best they could. Typically, a countdown didn't bode well for a situation. There must be something out of place, something not quite right here.

They noticed the lights flickering a fair bit away. They were getting closer, weren't they, the spaces between on and off slowly growing. The sight left a sinking feeling in their gut. They weren't scared of the dark, per-say, but they did not want to be holding a very delicate painting in the middle of a crowd if the hallways suddenly went pitch black. What was that? Why was it messing with the lights? A ghost of some sort?

Mars probably could've sat pondering all day, had their muscles not reminded them of the slight problem they had at hand. Ah, they should really put this down, huh? They wanted to put a finger to those letters anyway, to see if it was paint or stone or even... well, was blood too much to assume? Perhaps, but then, this was Hogwarts. It seemed like anything that could go wrong, would.

Okay, okay, focus on putting the painting down first. They grunted, starting to bend at the knees in an attempt to very gingerly set it on the floor but—why was someone screaming behind them? And why did it sound awfully directed at them?

With a start, they whipped their head around to see a very large Hufflepuff lunging at them. She must've been a Fourth Year from the looks of her... wait. They'd seen her before, hadn't they? Where... where... oh, right. The highly aggressive one at Willow's egg race.

"What the hell are you doing, idiot? I didn't do anything!" they screamed, arms far too full of painting. Ah sh*t, there was still a wounded guy in the stinking thing. They couldn't very well drop it. "Stop, you imbecile, I'm gonna drop—!"

With very clunky movements, they attempted to dodge the girl whilst not jolting the painting too much. In their head, Mars let out a huge sigh. Of course, wasn't this just their luck.

Dmitri hated it when his actions got questioned—and he hated nothing more than his competence being the thing under scrutiny.

The older boy's eyes narrowed at Opeila Winters' comment on his Sonorus being rubbish.

"Listen here, brat. If your useless boyfriend had it in him to utilize the power of my spell—a spell you couldn't even begin to imagine casting considering you seem to lack the intellectual function to even understand why I cast it in the first place—then maybe it wouldn't have been 'rubbish' as you so eloquently put it. Instead of clamming up and standing there with his mouth open."

His glare would meet everyone else around him and would home in on Percival Rainwood's direction as its last destination. "Now all of that is moot because the ghost that could have helped us in this stupid quest is so far away that not even your magically-amplified idiotic voices can reach them."

Leave it to the younger, dumber students to not get things done the right way.

"You know what, forget it."

Dmitri would shoulder his way through the group of Slytherins around him, leaving them to do things his way instead of having them pull him down.

This was a night he was supposed to test the wit and magical might of his duellists, but they seemed to be proving themselves too incompetent to even solve what seemed like a simple—yet wild—riddle goose chase.

It was time to bring the Slytherin spirit into this and show these kids how it's done.

Proceeding to the Second Location alone

Arriving at the next stop, Dmitri would be beholden to the genuinely annoying and unhelpful painting that was Gaiz Toa.

From what he could gather, the guy had no manners nor the common decency to even be mildly helpful, expressing what seemed to be disgust at being mistaken for Paran Taja and Laiks Denbora. It didn't even bother him that the latter was injured, bleeding, and possibly even dying—if magically enchanted paintings can perish, that is.

And it angered the already-annoyed Dmitri.

Anyone who had their eyes on him at that same moment would see his nose flare a tiny bit wider through his frustration and a dark glint appear in his eyes. The heavy feeling—a terrible aura—surrounding the boy would seem to intensify.

Taking large steps full of purpose towards the painting, the Slytherin shoved those standing in front of it aside.

"Move over, idiots."

In a booming voice, full of venom and malice, Dmitri raised his wand towards the painting threateningly. "Gaiz Toa, wasn't it? I'm tired of this wild goose chase, racing around the corridors in the cold autumn night following an incorporeal feline for what seems to be art appreciation."

A sneer would form on his lips.

"When I joined the Fall Ball, I did not sign up for this, else I would have applied for an Art College instead of studying magic at Hogwarts. With that being said, I am very much out of patience by now, and if you don't find it in your fragile little canvas heart to be helpful—"

Almost too quick to follow, Dmitri would attempt to cast a Diffindo at an empty spot on the stone wall a little off to the side of the painting.

"—then you—a small, insignificant piece of canvas among the thousands in Hogwarts—will know exactly how I am at the edge of my good graces."

FIRST LOCATION
There were only a few people still active near the first painting Star had let them to, but that didn’t mean there was no fun to be had, uh, action to be observed.

Ms @Ami Procoppio, genius that she was, had concluded from her wand poking that the threat was likely not physical. Her next move would have been taking the painting off the wall - except that someone else had beaten her to it. @Mars T'ien was already holding the painting in their hands, a fact that drove Ami into a rage - would happen to any sane and well-adjusted person, right? She commanded @Charles Woodward to figure out what the weird countdown meant, and proceeded to try and punch poor Mars.
Ami Accuracy: 19
Mars Evasion: 7 (-3 debuff for holding the painting)

Mars Health: 125/500
Mars, taken aback, made a rather bumbling attempt at dodging while holding the unwieldy painting in their hands, and would feel the world slightly spinning around them after Ami’s fist made contact. What kind of monster had that much strength?

A few of the other remaining students at the first location now slowly trailed after the main group, including @Elisabeth Erner and Gregorí Erkens (@Ginevra Tsuchiya). They, as some others, had noticed those odd flickering lights, and decided to investigate more closely.
Gregorí Observation Roll: 28
They were oddly hypnotic, pretty in their own way, those dancing lights. They… made them want to follow them.

Although it was away from their original destination, the pair found itself trailing after the lights, until they found themselves in a corridor completely filled with those mystical apparitions, flickering in blue, grey, and white. Odd. What could those be? Upon closer observation… they looked a little like one-legged creatures. Were they holding something?
SECOND LOCATION
@Anastasia Beckett was still confident to be the smartest person around, despite everything. Although at least a certain Marshalmallow didn’t seem to be completely useless. Still, she should have a look for herself.
Observation Roll (DC 20+2 (Lovely Creature)): nat 20 → crit. success

Her eyes caught something, something odd… But soon her focus was shifted to the flickering lights at the corridors.
Will Save (DC 20): nat 1 → crit. fail
A strange fascination emanated from them and she began to walk towards them, leaving the group in front of the painting behind. Did she really want to do that? Maybe she should turn around and go back?
Will Save (DC 15): 13
No. She couldn’t fight it. The girl tried, but there was nothing she could do about it - her feet followed the flickering lights without her doing. And suddenly she was back at the door of the ballroom. How did she get here?
You can rejoin the Hunt by heading back to where you came from. This will take your action for the round.
@Caelan Stewart wanted to step into a special role as well. Everyone was looking at the rude painting, but what if the cat Star had led them here because of something else? Maybe there was something to be found on the wall around it?
Observation Roll (DC 20+2 (Lovely Creature)): nat 20 → crit. success
And indeed, the house elves hadn’t been here in a while as it seems. There was dust in the joints between the stones and something else...

@Callista Lovis, @Leonard Oaksworth and @Lindsey Springhall, accompanied by @Wyatt Starkey, left the talking to the others. There were already too many people ranting at the rude man. That wouldn’t get them very far anyway.

But no! She was here to focus on more important stuff! She managed to turn her attention back to the situation at hand.

Alexander Ward (@Lydia Cooper) thought so, too. He was straight-forward and got straight to the point. Had this rude guy attacked Laiks and left him to die? To this question Gaiz would spit out in front of him, ”Of course I did! He doesn’t deserve any better! He stole my girl so I ran him through with my sword! That’s how it’s done!” It was obvious that he was proud of this achievement. While he was ranting at the young boy, he managed to catch a glimpse of something odd in the painting before the man moved and hid it again.
Observation Roll (DC 20+2 (Lovely Creature)): 28
Clue Roll: 3 [owl]
Straight forward was the keyword for @Henry Knight, @Kara Capricorn and @Martyna Romero today - actually, they were still fighting about the alpha role after all, but in one thing they were thinking alike: Let’s be nice to that rude guy and maybe he will be more cooperative. A thought @Sapphire Riddle had as well.

As Kara complimented him for his sword he gave her an unctuous nod and straightened
up proudly. ”Thank you, young lady. It’s a fine blade indeed and I’ve killed the one or other rascal with it… As this Laiks... And that should also answer your rude question, young man (@Andrew Vance)!”
Then his gaze moved to Henry, Martyna and Sapphire and suddenly he looked like he was in terrible pain and anger at the same time - a nice facial expression mixture. ”Giselle… She was my one and only, my everything, my world. Until this… Laiks stole her from me. He tricked her mind, blended her with his fake love and took her from me. Her portrait is in the next corridor to the right… But I can’t go there and see her. She… she betrayed me. SHE BETRAYED ME AS WELL! AND NO - THESE ARE MY SHOES! CAN’T A GENTLEMAN BE INTO DANCING AS WELL?!”

His dark eyes flickering with anger were fixed on @Andrew Vance now. He was pounding and inhaled a few times to calm down.
Charisma Roll (DC 15+2 (Lovely Creature)): 25
”Okay. I’m getting off-track here. Giselle left me. And that’s why I despise them! Denbora took the girl from me. THIEF! And when I brought justice to the matter and killed that bastard, Taja showed up, Mr. Goody Goody, to save him. Everytime you call his name he will run to help. What a hero. Yippee!”
His voice was dripping with sarcasm and hatred was clearly written on his face which was now turned to Cassie Heather McGregor-Martin (@Lucia Fox).
And sure, I would go there, smarty pants, but unfortunately, I DON’T HAVE A DATE!”

He was yelling so loudly, that he simply missed @Starlee Kennedy's accusation.
Charisma Roll (DC 15+2 (Lovely Creature)): nat 1 → crit. fail (WE ARE SO SORRY!!!)
But maybe that wasn’t the worst in this case anyway.

@Sapphire Riddle wasn’t paying attention anymore anyway. Her gaze was fixed on the lights… They were oddly hypnotic, pretty in their own way, those dancing lights. They… made her want to follow them.
Will Save (DC 20): 13
Although it was quite interesting here at the moment, the girl found herself trailing after the lights, until they found themselves in a corridor completely filled with those mystical apparitions, flickering in blue, grey, and white. Odd. What could those be? Upon closer observation… they looked a little like one-legged creatures. Were they holding something?

@Piper Clark gave up on trying to get Gaiz Toa to give them anything useful, and instead turned to interrogate a painting next to him, demanding to know who they were and if there wasn’t anything useful they could tell her.
Charisma Roll (DC 15 + 2 (Lovely Creature)): 23
The painting, although seeming a little shocked at being addressed so aggressively, replied a little hesitantly. “My name is, uh, Karl the Third of Mönchhausen,” the elderly man replied. “Well… he’s been complaining about not having a date for that ball for days. Maybe… if you found him one, he’d be more cooperative?”

Romeo Marchonné (@Piérre Marchonné) on the other hand sought help from a more familiar painting, one that might remember him from the days in which he’d been a Hogwarts student, and a Gryffindor, nonetheless: The Fat Lady, hanging around the corner.
Charisma Roll (DC 15 + 2 (Lovely Creature)): 15
The lady of Gryffindor, however, had apparently been caught by the festive mood in the castle today, and had maybe indulged in a glass of sparkling wine - or two or five. She squinted at him, swaying slightly in place, before her face brightened up. “Oh! You! I remember you. Robb? No… Roald?” She apparently hadn’t realised he’d told her his name just a second ago, and was obviously not in a state to give helpful answers to any questions.

@Percival Rainwood, although not a duellist himself, had found himself recruited into the command under Slytherin’s own Duelling Captain, Dmitri Jones. His voice magically amplified by said captain, he called: “Paran Taja!”
Painting Listen Check (DC 18 due to Sonorus): 9
Sadly, even with a volume that likely made everyone around him flinch, his voice was not enough to reach anyone.

@Opeila Winters concluded the same thing, and titled Dmitri’s spell rubbish, deciding to release her boyfriend from trumpeting around like an elephant.
Opeila casts Finite Incantatem (WDC 9 + 2 (Lovely Creature)).
Wisdom Roll: 15
She successfully ended the spell.

@Dmitri Jones, on the other hand, seemed not pleased at all by this - or by anything else his followers were doing or attempting to do. Abandoning them to their own devices, he stormed forward, trying to shoulder all those useless creatures out of the way who were between him and the painting of Gaiz Toa. Nothing else seemed to help, he’d just have to intimidate the truth out of him!
Strength Roll (DC 12): 6
While the captain was wise and mighty, he also had about the strength of a bowtruckle. He did not manage to shove anyone anywhere, but wouldn’t let that stop him.
Dmitri casts Diffindo at the wall (WDC 10 + 2 (Lovely Creature))
Wisdom Roll: 17
Auto-Miss: 9
Accuracy (DC 15): 21
Even between the other students, his Diffindo was well-aimed, leaving a groove in the stone next to the painting. This might have gotten quite a reaction from Gaiz… If not for one very upset Ravenclaw first year.

@Robert Toukmond had spotted the tear in the Gryffindor’s cloak, and made the connection to the scrap of cloth he’d seen in the first painting. This… this man must have been the one who attacked that poor dying man! He was a murderer! And - as this was Hogwarts - this only allowed one possible punishment. He had to burn.
Robert casts Incendio at the painting (WDC 9 + 2 (Lovely Creature)).
Wisdom Roll: 27
Auto-Miss: 2
Accuracy (DC 12): nat 20
With a precision maybe stemming from adrenaline, Robert’s wand let loose a jet of furious flames.

FIRE!

Image posted by the member

What would a Hogwarts event be without some fire? But instead of the usual suspects (looking at you here, Ana), it came from a shy, bookish Ravenclaw, who should maybe not be allowed to be handling fire (who should?).

The corner of the canvas started catching fire, and Gaiz Toa, after a second of shock, started screaming bloody murder at the young Ravenclaw, before fleeing into the next painting on the wall, knocking over a young girl who had stopped practising on her harp to observe what was going on.

Would anyone save his painting?

One person who had more experience than most with fire had sadly just decided that this was the right moment to leave this event. @Ruka Burnett-Tân turned his back right before the fire started, off to other adventures.
WHAT HAPPENED SO FAR…

  • A ghost appeared in the Ballroom, proclaiming warnings of doom and tragedy, and challenged students to solve the mystery. He pointed to a silvery ghost cat as the guide, who at this point, has been named Star.
  • Several students noticed odd things about the ghost:
    • Dmitri Jones and Kara Capricorn shared that they noticed a crest on his robes that was later identified as stemming from the St. Mungo’s Hospital.
    • Howard White noticed the Hufflepuff crest on his robes, but only shared this with Falentra Black, somewhat separate from the main group.
    • Romeo Marchonné remembered odd silver stains on the ghost’s sleeves and told his companions about them… blood, maybe?
  • The ghost cat led you to a painting, depicting a man who obviously had been attacked and was fighting for his life - but healing and repairing proved fruitless. Could anyone save him?
  • Several students noticed odd things about the painting:
    • Anastasia Beckett, Andrew Vance and Dmitri Jones pointed out an inscription below the painting: “Paran Taja saves Laiks Denbora”. Who was the man in the painting? Why was no one saving him?
    • Dmitri Jones also noticed that the painting composition seemed somehow unbalanced, as did Sapphire Riddle. Maybe something was missing here!
    • Andrew Vance pointed out a streak of blood on the floor of the painting. Maybe there had been a struggle? Had someone been dragged away - but by who, or what?
    • Aida Mòrsgor-Ama Ellwood made anyone listening aware of a scrap of fabric on the floor in the painting, red in colour, and depicting a lion. Odd.
    • Both Soren Silverwood and Callista Lovis had the idea to talk to nearby portraits to find out what had happened here. Both were pointed towards a painting that was supposed to be near the Gryffindor Common Room.
  • The Gryffindor Common Room? Martyna Romero took the lead and ran off in this direction. It appeared that Star agreed with this, as the cat followed Tina’s departing steps. Star led the party to a painting near the realm of the Brave.
  • There were several things that the students found out from this second painting:
    • The man depicted in it was called Gaiz Toa.
    • It didn’t take much prodding for him to admit his intense dislike for Paran Taja, that damn goody-two-shoes who always came running when someone called his name, and Laiks Denbora, who had apparently stolen his girl. Yes, obviously Denbora deserved to be stabbed for that - a deed Toa seemed to be rather proud of. The painting of the girl, Giselle could be found in the next corridor over.
    • A few students noticed a tear in his cloak, which might have matched the scrap of red fabric found in the painting of Paran Taja and Laiks Denbora.
  • Piper Clark talked to a different painting who mentioned that Toa had been complaining about not having a date for the ball for days. Maybe he’d be more helpful if they found him one?
  • Of course, alternatively, you could just set him on fire, like Robert Toukmond decided to do. The painting was now burning, a corner of canvas already eaten away. Act fast if you want to help him.

THOSE LIGHTS.... Vaguely, Sapphire recognized that she should stay away from them. She'd learned about them recently in class, and... it was slipping her mind. What were they? And why were they making it so d*mn hard to focus? She felt the need to follow them, even though there were red lights going off in the back of her head.

C'mon, what are these again? she questioned herself angrily, still following them like a moth drawn to a flame. Futile, futile, futile. It took stopping momentarily and seeing a more definitive form to the lights that brought her back to her senses, her mind reminding her of what they were. Her mind went into overdrive, trying to scrape up a method to get rid of them. It had something to do with light... Or could she just walk away? Could she attempt to leave? She didn't want to waste her energy, but was this worth using it?

Regardless, she attempted to speed-walk away. Were that not to be sufficient, she would run. Speed could be useful, wouldn't it? That didn't exactly matter given that her main focus was keeping herself from getting blasted by the creatures' supposed fireballs.

The group was probably going to do something stupid, anyway. They needed people with common sense (not that she could really consider herself one of those people).

"Oh okay," said Scarlett with a sage nod. "I keep hearing stuff about Laiks Denbora or Paran Taja or what-his-name. And-" Her voice dropped. "Ha, he would just run to the next portrait. And - maybe, but he seems to know something about the portraits and the people mentioned."

Scarlett glanced at the painting again, frustrated that she couldn't find anything new except from the fact that the man seemed to be called Gaiz Toa. She then spotted a small, heart-shaped necklace slip out of Gaiz's collar. Strange. There was talk of a girl, so could it be that that little necklace was something from the lover? Cassie was next to her doing her shouty thing as Scarlett mused. Her friend had deducted than Gaiz didn't seem English - genius! Cassie spoke a bit in French to the man, hoping he would understand. Scarlett was about to ask the man about the necklace, when someone set - set fire to the painting?

Gaiz shrieked and screamed bloody murder to the little Ravenclaw who had done it as he fled to the next portrait along. Scarlett rushed to follow, nudging Henry along the way and going, "Told you so."

As she arrived at the next painting, Scarlett jumped at her opportunity, as not many people were here yet. She looked Gaiz right in the eye and said, "Right. Pretty please tell me where you got that heart necklace from or I'll burn the portrait."

She turned to the young girl on the harp, who was looking a little confused. "Terribly sorry about all this."

Arriving at the first location.
As soon as the painting near the Gryffindor common room mentioned that Paran Taja always comes when his name is called, Alexa found herself sprinting back down the corridor toward the first painting.

Holding her side and panting as she arrived, she took a short time to catch her breath as her eyes scanned the brawl going on with the first painting. She rolled her eyes, but didn't have time for that now. But hopefully in a moment she could get them to hang the picture back on the wall; that way it's missing occupant would be able to enter it.

She still couldn't believe that there was violence going on between the paintings of Hogwarts! The man upstairs had said he had as good as killed the wounded man in the painting here. All for a girl. Considering Alexa had never been in love, she mentally scoffed at this idea. Killing someone over a date to the ball? Ridiculousness.

But then, this was Hogwarts, and craziness seemed to be a regular thing here!

When she finally got her breath back, she yelled at the top of her lungs, "PARAN TAJA!" Would he come?
Action: calling loudly for Paran Taja.

”Thank you, young lady. It’s a fine blade indeed and I’ve killed the one or other rascal with it… As this Laiks... And that should also answer your rude question, young man" He turned his head abruptly at a slytherin boy.

Kara was glad that he took the compliment, but as she keep her fingers on the portrait, chaos of course had to arrive, because what was Hogwarts without a little bit of chaos.

A ravenclaw boy seemed to had been very pissed off at Gaiz, as he just straight up burned the painting, and it was of course where Kara's own hand was. It seemed that the element of fire just really hated Kara.

Kara reeled her hand back, which was now a purple black color from being practically scorched, and god damn did it hurt.

"Holy sh!t! What in the world was that for man?!? If you didn't notice, my hand was there!" Kara reeled her glare on the ravenclaw, who she noticed was in a ridiculous banana costume.

She turned her head again as she watched Gaiz jump to the neighboring painting of a girl practicing a harp.

"Ugh, nevermind! Henry, do you have any idea to help out my hand, it really hurts, like a lot." With her good hand (her left), she pointed her wand at the fire, making a shield shape, and said "Finite Incantatem!"

Sighing, she turned back to the ravenclaw banana boy,

"So, do you mind me asking why you scorched the painting, and me in the process?"
