Morning guys!

I've just made coffee, put out the dogs and started the fire and I'm still cold and tired and sleepy.

And since I was thinking about how fast we've gone through wood yesterday, how we would probably deforest our entire yard and still not have enough until march but then I thought about a furnace my papaw had in his living room before he left that house. Was trying to find a version of it online because I can picture it but I cannot find a lookalike.

I miss that furnace. Granted, maybe I should've felt unsafe 😂 with it being in the living room or surrounded by flammable things but we haven't died to it yet so. Yay I think. Lol it was surrounded by a red carpet that smelled like mold and cigarettes. Lowk I miss that smell like it hits something nostalgic.

I'm yammering.. hmm.. anyways the point is I'm still cold and I miss a furnace that kept me warm through my childhood.

I feel that! My family also has a wood fire and it burns through wood very quickly! Luckily though I live in a forested area with lots of trees down, so we can access wood easily.

It also hit the 20s here last night in November, so that wasn’t fun.

Winter is coming! It snowed here the last two days. I hate the cold weather

We have a lot of dead trees in our yard, some stumps that haven't been uprooted yet, and a wooded cluster between our neighbor and us, but we don't touch that because neither the neighbor and us know whose property it is, and if it belongs to both, (ie: split in half or something/determining property lines) where the dividing line is, so that just was something neither of us touch.

My papaw used to live in an area that was heavily wooded (we're mountain people 😂) but he had a house that was not too far off from the road or from the campground (granted, neither were there when he bought the house in the late 80s..)- so he always had easy access to wood, as we do, but atp maybe we're too lazy or maybe we dont want to cut down the trees in our yard, so we order a trailer load of firewood.

That’s a great way to get wood when you don’t want to go out in the freezing cold!
