Who would I contact with a question about my pending ability status? I’m not sure who wrote the things I needed to change, so I don’t know who to talk to. Would it be someone from the validation team? Thanks in advance!

Can I add fears to my iNPCs page now, or would I have to wait until updates are open for them?

You can put them in the first post- not add on to it. But as long as you aren't changing anything vital (ie- backstory, first instance of magic, etc) it should be fine.

if a few 'simple spells' were used on occassion within a (muggle) household that knows about magic, are the consequences under the Decree for the Reasonable Restriction of Underage Sorcery be just a few warning letters? Or would there be a greater extent of consequences?

A few 'simple spells' in a muggle household that knows about magic would unfortunately fall under the decree of reasonable restriction of underaged sorcery. Technically, this is true in wizarding homes also. The difference being, with the trace charm this illegal act would be easier to identify via trace as the wizarding youth is the only one capable of performing magic in the area so their trespass would be known. In wizarding households, the laws are the same, but the Ministry has more difficulty knowing. A cited example (ironically using apparition) involved the Weasley twins' apparition and her mother commenting just because you could does not mean you should (paraphrased). When they turned 17 they were able to use their magic outside of academia.

In terms of animagi, the same would be true in terms if it being a willful, purposeful act (transforming). While technical licensure can be obtained, this does not make them an exception to the underaged magic decrees.

As for the extent of the repercussions, that is hard to say. According to canon resources Harry was nearly expelled but had also been subject to warnings and there was ic debate into the excessively restrictive and punitive nature of the Ministry's reaction. As for what would specifically happen with habitual, small uses of magic in muggle areas? I cannot answer that without consulting the rest of the staff but I would assume initially a warning (when it first happens) and then if it persists or other spells were also being done that it would escalate to expulsion where the canon resources demonstrated a much harsher response.

Edit: staff verified the above as being in accordance with how it would be managed.
