Ruckus's defining ability is his knack for collecting things. He loves collecting a lot of rubbish, but he is also skilled at finding things with utility. As a child, he was in charge of much of his own education—too many siblings and too little attention to go around—and he found that what he was seeing outside matched many of the pictures in his mother's old herbology books and those matched what was needed for many of the recipes in her potions books.

He would look through the day's bag of goodies, and there among the trash were little treasures: daisies, earthworms, dittany, and mistletoe berries. Sometimes he wouldn't even remember picking up the stuff; he would just have it when it came time to make a potion.

Ruckus's first attempt at potioneering was brewing the pepperup potion for his sister Getrude's cold. He found all the more expensive items in his mother's storeroom, but he realized that he was still missing honey, dried nettles, and hemlock. But looking through his trunk where he kept his collection of treasures, there they were, nestled between a few old newspaper clippings. He isn't fantastic at potion brewing, but thanks to seemingly magical collection habits, he was able to provide Gertrude some quick relief from her symptoms.

Over the years, he did invest more time into potion brewing; it was hobby he found rewarding—it helped that he always had nearly half the ingredients on hand. The skill also came in handy when he ran a bar in Dublin. He would mix magical drinks for his wizarding clientele: often pulling ginger, thyme, or sage from his pockets, never knowing quite how they got there. This stretched into his bar snacks as well: it kept overhead costs down when he never had to buy his own supply of salt or vinegar. He never looked deeply into why his pockets were always filled—he did pick a lot of things up off the ground; questioning the magic that makes things appear might make the magic cease—at least that was his logic.

This ability was most useful when he spent ten years at sea on a muggle sailing crew. Ruckus tried to turn away from the magical world, but his pockets always seemed to be full of it. He could brew some useful potions on the sly, or at least spice up some bland food. And it was difficult to forget who you are when foxglove starts growing out of your boots, even miles away from shore. The day that he woke up to his trunk filled with frogspawn, he knew it was time to return to the world of witches and wizards.

With time and right guidance, Argento was doing well in school. He had made quiet some friends- well maybe one of them was really close to him- Heirans. Despite however he was doing, one thing that drew Argento closer to doing magic was the ability to be able to do healing magic. Something that Argento wanted to do no matter what- was to heal someone who was in dire need of it. Something inside him would pull him to take of the person who needed to be healed. It was something that Argento couldn't shake.

He didn't care what the other person was to him, whether they were an enemy or a friend; his understanding was when a person is hurt they are not an enemy or a friend- they are a person who needs help and Argento couldn't refuse to help them. It was not in his nature. Argento would help anyone he could with whatever way he knew how to help. Despite being young, he was still doing his best.

His parents had never stopped him from helping anyone; unless he was putting himself in danger. They didn't want their son to be hurt at all. That would end up hurting them the most. Argento would spend hours reading up on healing magic and practicing that said healing magic. He wanted to be able to help people.

One night back in Galway, Ireland- his parents had thrown a ball for Christmas; and luckily Argento was there this year to attend the ball. During the ball, one of the younger guest; a boy named Sylas was hurt and there was no one near where Sylas was except Argento. He healed the boy using the spells that he had learnt in school. Argento couldn't have prouder of himself. He was so excited to tell his dads and his younger sister Siobhan about it.

Once they learnt about what Argento had done, they were really happy about it. They never stopped supporting him whatever he wanted to do. They would encourage the Young Argento to practice and get better at it. Argento would do as they said. He would practice as much as he could- till he felt he was more than ready to do spells that could heal someone. He would spend time in the Mansion's library reading about different healing spells- but wouldn't practice them as he knew that some spells could backfire and he was not going to do something so reckless.

Argento always had something different about himself. Even when he was a young boy. He felt that people were attracted to him due to his charm and beautiful gesture. His parents never stopped him from doing whatever Argento wanted as long as he was being safe. His parents first and most important priority was Argento's safety.

Argento had the talent of getting whatever he wanted by just being his charming self and people around him would just give into. He tried not to use it too much as he didn't want to seem too spoilt but occasionally he would use it to charm people and use it in his favor.

By his fourth year, he had been in the Quidditch Team as the captain and seeker for almost a year. He remembered when he was in a match against the Hufflepuffs, he was able to distract the other chaser and thus winning the house match. He remembered that clear as day.

Argento used his ability a little more when he was in school as compared to him being at home. During vacations, he might occasionally use it. He would try and use it at school to try and get away from things like submitting his homework on time or getting in trouble with a prefect.

Argento loved the attention he got due to his abilities. He sometimes wished his life was a little simpler but he was happy the way his life was. He had a caring boyfriend who would stand up for him if needed. He had parents that loved him and a sister that he adored. What more could Argento hope for?

One late night, after the curfew, Argento had snuck out into the Library wanting to read something to quench his thirst for answers. He had been able sneak into the library and get what he wanted. However, returning back he was caught by a Prefect. And as always; Argento managed to mesmerize the prefect into letting him go without having to serve Detention. He was so happy that he had managed to get away from the Prefect.

Giggling Argento went back to his dorm and went to sleep in the designated area of his dorm room. Though before that, he did write down the information that he had collected from the library in the diary that he kept for this exact purpose so that he didn't forget about it when he needed that information.

Argento was growing up to be a talented young wizard. Something that his parents had never imagined. Argento had done extremely in his academics as well as co curricular activities. He had been in the Quidditch team not only as a seeker but also as a captain. So for him to move forward to learning how to do magic without having to use words was probably the next step for him.

He had witnessed how Francesco did magic without speaking. He had always been enchanted by it. Being a pureblood, he had grown up in a household which used magic. Despite not Argento doing any underage magic. But he had seen his dads. He was so inspired by Francesco that he would spend hours and hours learning from Francesco about how to do magic without speaking.

Despite not being able to succeed in the first few tries, Argento never gave up. His father, Franc (Francesco), was very understanding and support his boy despite the unsuccessful tries. Franc kept cheering on Argento to try harder and harder. Though Franc never used loud voice to scare Argento or to make Argento feel afraid of him, his voice was always calm yet commanding so Argento knew how serious his father was being.

"Picture Siobhan is hurt" Franc said trying to make Argento focus more. "You are the only person who can help her. But you have your mouth tied up." He added. He could see anger building on Argento's expression. "Think of that moment and what you would do in that situation, Argento. Use that and try again son." He said. Argento pictured what his dad had told him and tried to cast the spell which he succeeded in doing. A huge smile crept on Argento's face as he was able to cast a spell without using words. "Remember that Argento. Whenever you remember that situation, I am sure you will be able to cast spells without having to speak." He said as he hugged his son and smiled. Franc was very proud of what his son was able to do.

Argento was so happy that he was able to cast a spell without using his voice. He was going to practice it more and more. So that he would become better at it and not fail like he had done at the first few tries. He was so happy and his dads took him out for dinner as a treat.

Encyclopedia: Piérre Luigi Marchonné
Ability & Roleplay: The Muggle Condition
Reducio
He had never been very good at magic. Indeed, it seemed that the more that he tried to tap into the potential that was allegedly part of his blood, the more that it seemed to rebel. The more it hurt for him to utilize. At times, it would seem that Piérre simply was not increasing his ability to cast spells--in the least he was not finding himself able to capitalize upon the potencies of his spells to the same degree as some of his classmates were. While their spells could execute tasks with little effort or minute prompting with an almost lazy wave of their wands and slurred incantations, Piérre found that even the smallest waverings of his concentration could result in disaster. Even when everything seemed to go right, something would go wrong.

The more that he tried to force his magic to cooperate, the more it burned in his marrow and seemed to burn his bones from the inside out. He had tried to bind it down, he had tried to cage it. It was something that shouldn't be allowed to run wild, to run unconstrained... but the more that he tried to control it, the more it bashed itself against the confining walls that was the boy's flesh. He feared using magic. He feared what it was in him that was screaming for escape, for release--and those spells that did escape his imposed damper that were cruel and demanded blood for its works.

So he turned instead to something else that he could handily and consistently find himself successful with: the art of the slight of hand. For a few years now, Piérre had been working with a deck of cards and fiddling with it when others were not looking. He was not working on any particular tricks, but he was simply handling them and practicing his abilities of maneuvering them and concealing them all over in clothes, sleeves, back of his hand, back of his neck, and other such things of that sort. His manual dexterity was something of a marvel to behold, the speed at which he spun quills and pens in his fingers and the speed at which he manipulated small items and objects. If one didn't know any better, one would have thought that he was someone of the low occupation of petty thievery... and they would be right.

Piérre had stolen many a thing during his time at Hogwarts alone, but also in the Muggle world. Was it wrong? Yes. But were they things that he could also replace? Also yes. It was simply a need of his, to have something in his hands all the time: to be manipulating some kind of object in his hands or turning it between fingers curiously. Nimble fingers could determine secrets of the item, how to hold it, to balance it, to utilize it in the way that he needed. Bottles, balls, body position--he was more like Figaro when it came to the way that his feet danced and the way that he held himself--hand eye coordination... the things he could do with only his body or with his hands were limitless. And it surprised him on every occasion in which he observed those with 'higher upbringings' than he being marveled by an item that was quite simple but delightfully tactically complex such as a Rubik's cube (Piérre could not solve such a thing but he liked spinning its components) or a glass ball used for contact juggling (which he was quite good at).

Simply put: Piérre was getting better and better at doing things with his hands as opposed to his wands. After all, it was his hands that had protected him from most dangers at Hogwarts so far. It was not his magic, but his wits and his quick thinking in combination with the only consistent and reliable items attached to his very body--his hands--that had been the sole reason for his relative safety (and at times the safety of others around him). The magic in himself he hated, feared, wanted to chain down and crush out of existence... but at least he had his hands.

He turned the deck of 52 cards in his hands... and somehow from the middle of the deck that he had fanned out for a group of students in the Courtyard he withdrew a Joker that had not been there before. The 53rd card that had not existed to their eyes before--and the location from which he had withdrawn it (without the help of the Viceversus spell to boot as he had neither wand on him and he had taped his mouth shut with a length of wizard tight to prove that he was not distracting anyone with his idle prattle--only his to know and to keep secret to himself as part of the Street Magician's unspoken rules of the trade. His green eyes dully looked upon those who ooed and ahhed at his work, but quickly were attracted to the skies and how blue they were.

He wanted to get out of here. And his hands, his magic without that of blood and incantation, would take him there. He didn't need magic when he had a magic that was much more powerful than any of his fellows could possibly imagine: the magic of improvisation, of ingenuity, and of resourcefulness.

He didn't need a wand to be magical. Being 'magical' and with the capability to use the seething and screaming magic in the sanguine that had been given him by the evils of his father just so happened to be an added benefit. Indeed, and it would be the magic of his muggle and mundane hands that would topple the empire of magic that had thought itself to be quite untouchable indeed.

Aaron Jones had grown to be an adrenaline junkie - his broom stunts were becoming more and more dangerous as the years went on. He had been working on these tricks for years now, and the more he developed his flying abilities, the more confidence he had in himself. That confidence is what led him to jumping off the Astronomy tower for a dare - but he had failed to win. Amina, the girl he had jumped off the tower with, had shown more bravery than him. She had a real fearlessness to her that Aaron admired, and he was determined to develop the same thing.

So in the months following that jump, his tricks got showier and more dangerous. The sixteen-year-old was trying to squash that annoying voice in the back of his mind that worried for his safety. He shouldn't be this worried. He should be confident that he could face these challenges head on, that there was no way he'd get hurt because he had the skill to dismount in time. Every evening, as he practiced his stunts and dove towards the ground, he managed to pull up later and later, making it closer to the ground each time. He would jump from the goal posts at the Quidditch Pitch and call his broom to him later, too.

It wasn't just the broom sports that he needed this sense of fearlessness for - it was life. There was a time when he had developed a fear of part-giants, but it had come from such a small interaction. Several summers ago when he was still on the Quidditch team, and when Quinn had broken that student's leg - why was he still holding onto that? Well - he wasn't. Not anymore. All those past little fears he'd accumulated over the years - spiders, the dark, failure. He decided to do some exposure therapy and conquer them each one by one. What was there, really, to be afraid of? He knew several students with pet spiders to interact with, he went to bed in the dark, and he knew other part-giants at the school. These fears were no longer fears.

As he continued this new outlook on his life and his fears, there was only one thing that he couldn't quite get over. Fire held such a huge looming presence over his life ever since his home had burned down. He still couldn't get the smell of the smoke fully out of his nostrils. But - although that fear was still there, he felt more ready to face it.

That realization came along with the awareness that he had just successfully performed a broom stunt dive and practically skimmed the grass as he pulled up, without an ounce of fear - just pure adrenaline and joy. Aaron laughed at the thought that his newfound fearlessness might even rival Amina's. He couldn't wait to challenge her to another jump off the Astronomy tower.

Sometimes somethings you learn on your own or necessity makes you learn things. Whichever term fits right; you be the judge of that. Many a times, Argento depended on his fathers or sister to teach him things. Usually it was one of his father's who taught him things. However, once he was married and living happily with his husband, he was sure he couldn't go asking his dads for help whenever he felt like it. Nor did he want to trouble his husband, Heirans for that.

As always, Argento would condition himself for the situation that he was going to have to deal with. Thanks to his professors in school and his family, he had learnt that conditioning yourself to adapt to something was going to be helpful at times. Well at other occasions it might backfire but that was sort of a risk that Argento had to take.

So remembering what his dad had told him when he was learning nonverbal magic, could be used for learning Wandless magic as well. Maybe. He didn't want to think of either Heirans or his sister in a situation where someone had them and he was the only one to rescue them and he had his wand expelled out of his hands and was lying on the ground somewhere. Oh well, he had thought of a scenario where he needed to know how to do spells without using his wand with either hand gestures or by moving his finger.

But it had already crept in his mind and he could feel tears coming in his eyes as he didn't want either of them hurt or be in a situation where Argento couldn't save them. Letting out an angered sound, he moved his finger in the shape of H first and could see the Flipendo spell being cast. Then he tried the same thing with moving his finger in the shape of S another spell sparked, hitting the dummy in the room where Argento was practicing.

Wiping his tears away, Argento smiled as he had managed to learn how to do magic without using his wand and didn't have to worry about anything again. He not only had learnt how to do spells without speaking and now he had managed to learn how to do it without a wand with gestures. Argento was pretty excited with everything that he had accomplished. He seemed more than ready for anything that life could throw at him.

Alliasta has always been a girl who is good with people. People love her so much and love talking to her because she always has such a good aura and is always a positive girl. She loves helping people, speaks sweetly and sweetly, has a good heart and is helpful.

A good conversationalist with people. She always speaks intelligently, even in times of panic. Calms and helps others. She is good at speaking. Even though she gets fussy with boys sometimes, she is really cuter when she is friends. People have always loved her soothing and sweet aura. People are always calmer when they are with her. Because Alliasta always knows what to do and acts calmly, whether in a moment of panic or not. Sometimes she talks really excitedly. But even this puts people at ease. And it makes them want to talk to her.

Alliasta's family is big and she really has a lot of cousins, and this has made Alliasta more positive and outgoing. This positively affected her interaction with people. Even though she is a pure-blood wizard, she doesn't boast about that and doesn't boast about any other qualities. So, although she has really beautiful facial features and especially eyes with heterochromia, she sees this only as a contribution to her cuteness and does not brag about it.

Sometimes people who just meet her are a little more shy because of her heterochromia, but Alliasta's cute talking aura and calming qualities make people more open with her. But sometimes people are excited about her heterochromia, and this makes Alliasta even happier and more excited.

People think Alliasta is really reassuring. Her friends feel comfortable telling her their secrets. Her family does not hesitate to give her responsibilities when necessary. The fact that she is a mature and calm girl who fulfills her responsibilities makes it easier for people to trust her. She maintains this calmness even with people she has just met. She makes them trust her.

This trait comes from her mother. Her mother also has a sweet aura that calms other people. Alliasta really admires her mother, so she copies many of her traits. She acts cute like her mother. Even her smile gives comfort and calmness. She likes people talking to her. She does her best to treat them well. She has never fought with anyone until now. In general, no one can find anything to hate about her. People are calm and comfortable with her.

During Cassian’s second year at Hogwarts he joined the Ravenclaw dueling team. He had always wanted to become a duelist while at Hogwarts and during his second year he competed in two dueling matches. Much to his surprise and although he was quite inexperienced, Cassian ended up winning both of those duels with his teammates. He discovered his natural knack for Defense Against the Dark Arts also translated over to dueling. Cassian is a natural duelist. He’s quick on the fly, both physically and mentally. Able to analyze the situation quickly and know how to best help his teammates. Cassian is able to consistently cast powerful and accurate spells, while evading oncoming spells from his opponents. As a second year, Cassian was amongst the duelists his age with the highest arcane power. And while he found his spells to be quite powerful, in reality Cassian has always liked the idea of supporting his friends and teammates whenever possible.
It’s not surprising how someone as talented as a duelist as Cassian might develop a confidence in the sport. However, Cassian’s confidence is quiet and reserved, not boastful. On the piste, Cassian radiates a calm, humble confidence that inspires and uplifts his friends and teammates. While not much of a leader, Cassian is content to support his teammates however best he can, encouraging them with his infectious grin, steady aim, or reassuring nods. Cassian has found his passion in dueling and has made close friends with his teammates. He looks up to the older Ravenclaw team members, while also being a quiet example for the newer and younger duelists. When Cassian first started on the Ravenclaw dueling team, he was the youngest and newest member. However, now entering his third year, there are several younger teammates that look up to him.
But Cassian’s aura of calmness extends beyond the piste. Cassian doesn’t excel in the classroom as he does in dueling, and while he isn’t the sharpest of Ravenclaws, his dedication and unrelenting drive inspire his classmates around him. The students at Hogwarts tend to trust Cassian. His humbleness and honesty show an inner strength, although he is more quiet and reserved. Perhaps in his first year Cassian was more reckless, but through his second year Cassian has learned the importance of keeping a cool head during a combat duel. Fellow teammates can’t help but feel motivated and assured while dueling on his side.

Ability: Prodigal Defense Against the Dark Arts Learner - First Year Ability
Reducio
Description: Marcus' father Michael was a Senior Auror within the Ministry, and from a young age, Marcus was determined that he would one day join the Corps to continue the fight. Though Michael couldn't actively begin teaching his oldest son before Hogwarts, as he didn't have access to a wand yet, Marcus did grow up around a lot of Defense Against the Dark Arts books, and he would actively pay attention when his father and his Auror Partner would come to the house to use their Training Room.

Every morning at dawn, while he thought everyone else was still asleep, Marcus would sneak out into the family's expansive garden. The place was filled with magical flora and fauna, planted and grown by his mother Eliza. He would spend this time, using a stick, to start drilling in the wand movements he'd seen, so they would become muscle memory. He spent his evenings in the family Library, or his father's office, pouring over the Defense texts his father had accumulated over the years. While he was too young to fully grasp the intricacies and magical theory behind most of the books, the concepts that he was able to understand, he devoured and memorized.

After he received his Hogwarts Letter and obtained a wand, his father, having noted Marcus' thirst for knowledge, as well as his early morning extracurriculars, began taking him into the Training Room to teach him how to access and harness his power. Michael believed that true mastery of Defense Against the Dark Arts required not only technical skill, but a deep understanding of the darkness one looked to fight against. Though he was careful to keep things as age appropriate as possible, he began teaching Marcus the history of Dark Magic, the intention behind it, and the importance of using his power for good.

"The most important battles are not won with wands, but with wisdom," was a common mantra used in these sessions.

Michael started him out on small, first year jinxes and charms, as well as combat tactics, which sounded more aggressive than it actually was. It was just time spent learning when best to dodge or defend, and how to effectively maneuver around a combat zone. Marcus took these lessons to heart, and even began instructing (with limited success) the other village magikids (as they had named themselves). By the time September rolled around, Marcus' skill had continued to grow, and he was beginning to show an affinity for spell casting. (Word Count: 405)
