raspy coughs slip past her bloody lips, she keels over.

"No no no no, I don't want to die- please please please don't let me die." she clutches at them, pulling them closer and burying her face in their clothing.

Euphrasia looked around, her wispy hair now faded to a white-grey, her eyes with beautiful, purple brilliance. She had done so much, how was she to choose just a few words? Her life was fading before her, so she picked up a pen. She had long let her voice disappear, only making short words. Parseltongue was by far easier, anyway.

She was to soon die, it was inevitable, but she wanted to pursue the bright light of her lamp as long as she could. Time was ticking, and the pen was not moving. Limited time.

Feeling something leave her lips, she began to write as the words left her mouth.

"Я прожил жизнь, о которой не жалею, теперь, когда это сделано. Я буду продолжать упорствовать даже после Смерти. Продолжай жить жизнью, которым я бы гордился. У каждого есть потенциал." She signed the note with the old pen, and leaned back in her chair. People closest to her would understand, and, maybe even listen to her. However she had no control over the young folk, and frankly, she didn't want to. Everyone had their own amount of potential, it just depended on whether they wanted to act on it, or not.

Shelby stood up for one last time, looking to each of her friends in turn. All of them had been through many things but none have touched death. This new oblivion, one greater than the quiet times that seemed to stretch forever, was one that she'd greet kindly, for she has earned her next life.

Raising her wand, Shelby grits her teeth, eyes ablaze. "One song ends," she cries out, a tear lining her jaw. "...but the melody still goes on."

With a flourish of her hand a bright blue light exploded from her wand just as a green one searches for heart. Her lids began to lower as she accepted her fate.

Mira would want to see something, or someone she loves for the last time. She would look at the view with a slightly proud smile and say "Now this is why it was worth it"
