It would seem as if the game’s beaters and seekers would see no shortage of defense – with players Serena, Annie, Tyranni, and Maggie all on lifeguard duty, both teams would remain to be more than covered. However, there was one chaser that would find opportunity in the defensive nature of his opponents – Howard, perhaps eyeing the empty goals and lonely Quaffle, quickly capitalized on the opportunity, swooping down and snatching the red leather from the soft green grass and rocketing in the direction of the hoops. One – two – three goals he would score for his team! The yellow stands would cheer in delight for their unsettling chaser, who had brought the badger team a little closer to victory.

However, Hufflepuff’s excitement wouldn’t last – for, on the opposite side of the court, Slytherin’s infamous second-stringer had set his gaze upon the visage of the pale fourth-year chaser, Percival winding up his bat as a bludger circled his way. His eyes carefully following the progression of the metal, he would swing backwards, sending a backbeat rocketing towards the unprepared Howard – the bludger would connect soundly, knocking the player flat off his broom. Thankfully for the badgers, a savior would be nearby, taking the form of the lovely Annie Morgan – the younger player would promptly rescue Howard from the untimely end of his six predecessors. A close one for the badgers!

Meanwhile, the seekers were making good time on their own roles. In the case of Stanley, his gaze would finally brush upon that glimmer of gold lingering in the distance – perhaps it would be the reward for the three long rounds of searching he had endured. On the other side of the pitch, Flash and Koko raced at breakneck speeds, the former’s eyes locked upon that glint just beyond his fingertips until – his fingers would brush the gold, before grasping it tightly, securing the victory for his team. What a catch!
