While I can imagine you’re scared, I highly doubt you'll go to jail. My advice is to admit you missed the bus, and that you hid because you were in fact anxious. You’re a kid, people make mistakes

You won't go to jail, mate. The police think ur a missing person, so they want to find you and keep u safe. They won't arrest you. Even if they do, u won't go to full-fledged jail, maybe juvie for a few hours. The place isn't great, but at least you'll be out soon.
