Quidditch Hufflepuff v Slytherin Jan 2022 Done

The pitch was oddly quiet. Koko wasn’t sure whether this was due to there being so few Hufflepuffs left, or if it was due to the less aggressive strategies both teams were playing. Nevertheless, she tried not to be unsettled, simply opting to continue to keep her gaze on the field. Someone had to be prepared, and Koko was perfectly glad to be that person.

She heard the telltale bell of the quaffle meeting the goals, and her head swivelled until she could see Tyranni go for another. Koko would have clapped had she not been focused on chasing after the Snitch that Flash needed to catch.

She nodded when Flash said he was okay. That was good - and the best she could expect, really, given the situation. His repetition of the words made it sound as if he were trying to convince himself rather than Koko, but if he convinced himself he was fine, Koko didn’t care what method he used to do that.

Koko wanted to offer some lame words of encouragement, but instead she kept her mouth shut and continued flying in the direction of the little flash of gold.

The score was tied now but this was not a time to celebrate, everything could be taken from them in a blink if they were not careful. If Flash was taken down, then their loss was almost certainly assured. They needed to protect Flash and the arrogant arse sent her on her way only to leave an opponent that sent him falling. If it was not for Koko, Flash would be pudding on the pitch.

"If you want your ass kicked, I can kick it in the dorms Flash," Erin shouted. Leave him on his own and Hufflepuff converges on him. He was not a particularly physical person what little she knew of the second-string Seeker and Snape dormmate. She saw him as the bookish sort, thin framed and easily broken. She was not right in the least but the girl lacked the power of observation, she worked on pure instinct. Her instinct in regards to Flash was that of anxiety and irritation. She did not consider him 'safe' or a 'friend' but she mistook her restlessness and dis-ease as a general distain rather than a warning that the boy was dangerous. Erin was a lot of things, but she was no killer. Holmwood could not make the same claim.

"It would take their whole team to get through me," she boasted. Plenty of time for Flash to find the snitch. His pride might lead to rejection, winning was not worth battling her housemate and frankly she was here for something else entirely. To feel something, even if it was pain.

Percival could not help but enjoy the freeing flow of air through his golden locks. The cold wind hit his face harshly turning his cheeks a ruddy color, but he could not find it within himself to truly care. The boy focused in on his target the already once displaced seeker. He really would like to avoid Holmwood being displaced once again.

He whooped from the bench as Erin's bludger connected with her targets. Wow, this game was utterly merciless. However, the opposing team's ranks were thinning, and this was good news for Slytherin. If they could keep this up until the very end, Avery was sure there would be good news. His optimism was building, but no, it wasn't the time to get overly-optimistic. Have a little patience...!

Stanley still hadn't found the snitch and it was getting on the little boys nerves. He could never do anything right ever. Even when putting all his effort into one little task it always backfired. He had never been successful ever. "Come on. You cant give up now. What would Big Ted think?" He mumbled to himself and sighed. His focus was the snitch and he couldnt afford to disract himself in anyway.

The time for blatching was over, at least momentarily. This game could come down to points and if that was the case, Slytherin definitely needed more. With the quaffle in the air, she raced forward, securing another 20 points for Slytherin. Unopposed, there was little holding her back. Tying the game at 50 points each, at least there was some progress being made. If only Flash could catch the snitch and finish this match before any more players were brutally hurt. At least no one on Hufflepuff had succeeded at breaking any brooms. Last game was infuriating as Jorah basked in pride of destroying so many brooms. It was hard not to find him more obnoxious as the years passed.

XXXA score! A rather merciful one, at that; brought a little bit of intrigue to the game. Honestly, if she could be perfectly candid without fear of judgement, Maggie wasn't particularly keen on things she considered to be 'boring'. Not that Quidditch was boring, just a little bit lackluster at this particular moment in time. If that made any sense whatsoever.

They were all tied up. Hufflepuff and Slytherin, both sitting pretty at fifty points. Still, the badgers were playing furiously, proving themselves to be worthy opponents to the snakes.

Maggie only hoped they could pull off the win.

Serena finished up her penalty lap as fast as possible. She needed to get back out there and help her teammates. Unfortunately, it seemed as if their team was quickly dwindling as Quinn and Atlas were knocked off of their broom. And to top it off, Slytherin had tied up the score. Serena knew that this was the endgame, and she would need to work hard to try and win.
