You are a Fourth Year, which means you remained in Index at least long enough to graduate to that level. I assume you were removed after, which is why you didn't graduate to 5th year. If you want to go up to 5th year in July, please register to Index before the end of June. (Unless you want to deactivate and make a new character anyway.)

How long should I wait to get my pet approved? I have enough money even with the new update, and it has been 8 days since I submitted the application.
All but one person above me has had their pet approved- I just don’t want to be a nuisance. Who should i ask to fix this?

Once finishing a pet thread you will need to owl a head of house to give you your pet

@Angela Silverberry To add (and in relation with) Professor Elaine Pendarst's explanation, to my best understanding it would work the other way round too.

So if you deactivate your current character (Angela) and create another, if you manage to get them registered to the Index before the end of June, your new character will be a second year almost-immediately in July.

Or if you wish to have more meaningful RP threads without backdating, you can owl your character's HoH and inform them you wish to remain a first year for the 2022/2023 academic year. (If your new character is indexed by June 2022; if no, there's no need to inform the HoH.)

Yeah like Mei said you need to owl your Head of House or any of them/all of them after you finish your pet thread. That's stated inside the thread of how to obtain a pet in the actual thread itself if I remember right. However, it might take a few days to get approved after that since they might be busy at the time. I posted in the thread too and owled them but haven't gotten accepted yet.

I just totally didn’t realize that I had to owl them. I did last night- thanks for telling me!

I am aware there have been changes to the monthly prizes, but has the prize for last month been delivered out already? I'm not sure if I received any donations.

Only the top 3 students and those from the winning house (who score above 17) remain eligible for monthly prizes, so you won't receive anything for April.
