Shuntbumps was a new concept to her, but she didn't particularly like it at first. She was more of a team sport oriented person. That's what was so great about Quidditch--she loved working with her team. This would be a different phenomenia all together. Still, a game was a game and she would try her best. She did take comfort in seeing several familiar faces on the pitch, especially those from the Quidditch team. It wasn't really surprising that they should turn up. Having a flair for games was pretty much a requirement.

As she took to the air, she scanned the pitch the same way she would at the start of a match before the quaffle erupted into the air. But instead of a quaffle, SWAG Club founder Aurelia shot up red sparks into the air from her wand. They were the bright signal that this match would begin. And with that, Ruthie swerved to the side, keen to stake out a defensive position more to the side of the pitch. Outside of the team, there were people she didn't recognize so it was a fair bet they were older and therefore dangerous. Still, she had to make a move. Drawing her wand, she locked eyes on the first girl she spotted and didn't immediately recognize as a member of the house Quidditch team. "Verdimillious!" she shouted while keeping a firm grip on her wand. It was only after the spell had already fired that she realized this was the girl who'd helped her at the ball. Whoops.

River gave polite smiles to the others that arrived, before she mounted her broom swiftly, and waited for the signal. It did not take long before the sky was suddenly filled with sparks of green, and Aurelia had giver her signal for the game to finally begin. This was absolutely a new phenomenon to the ravenclaw, and she was quite excited to try it out. Her mind flew back to the first time she ever flew a broom, and she remembered the horror of that day. She had been terrified to get up into the air, and the fear did not pass easily as she flew about. Now, she loved flying, and she had even signed up for joining in a club where her chances were very high of falling off the scrappy school broom.
She was focused, and she was prepared too. Her target was quickly and randomly decided from as soon as the signal showed, and the spell had been decided hours ahead. And it seemed the opportunity was here, and she raised her wand steadily, and pointed it straight at her first target of the game, but she didn't aim for the person, but rather their broom. She said the incantation, "Spongify" and began thinking of her next moves as she held tightly on to her broom.

Shauna had no idea what sort of game this was but everyone else seemed to know so she simply followed suit when everyone mounted their brooms. However as the game got started since this was her first time on a broom in a while she stayed low to fly in small circles however she found riding a broom was like riding a bike in the muggle world...you just never forget. This knowledge made her smile as she rode the broom to the heights of the other players; now she didn't know what she was doing she backed her broom over into a shaded area of the pitch to watch the game.

While she watched; she seen the red sparks come from the founder of the club then all out chaos break loose. Everyone seemed to scatter; with everyone mounted on their brooms spells were being cast from all directions being aimed at various people. It didn't take her long to figure out how this game worked....no teams just every man (woman) for themselves. She watched as Ruthie made herself a huge target by way of casting the first spell; green sparks really....honestly that might do no more than distract or temporarily blind the target....said target Thora Larkston. It only took her a second to know what she wanted to do; yes she knows the are not any teams in this game but there is nothing saying she can't target the same person someone else has targeted. She put her hair up in a bun; she always carried hair ties with her in case her hair got in the way...gripped her broom "I need you to be fast." she said as she leaned on the broom which gave the broom speed and she hoped made her a more difficult target practically laying on her broom. Only when she needed she pulled up on her broom bringing it to a stop with her wand gripped in her hand; she sat right in front of Thora Larkston spoke her chosen incantation with the proper enunciation and wand movement "Mucus ad Nauseam" (MYOO-kus ahd NAW-zee-um); Wand Movement

Thora hurriedly mounted her broom and shot up into the air. So, Quidditch training had helped for something. Even if she didn't get to play an actual game, at least her flying practice would pay off, as was evidenced by her smooth flight through the air. A cry of the Green Sparks Charm alerted Thora to a threat just off to her left, a blonde girl named Ruthie. Great.

The Ravenclaw was aiming her wand towards the older girl. Why was she aiming for Thora, of all people? Thora wasn't exactly a threat--Ruthie might not know it, but she was probably one of the weakest and most incapable players, not considering the fact she was stuck on a school broom. Also, Thora and Ruthie had worked together at the Masquerade Ball when her friend, Dymphna, was hurt. So why Thora had become the shooting target was a complete unknown.

Clutching her aspen wand tightly in her right hand and broom handle in the other, Thora leaned to the left, swerving and plummeting just a little. "Flipendo!" Thora moved her wand in a swirly V shape in Ruthie's general direction. Thora wasn't the type who thirsted for revenge, but she would make sure Ruthie got what she asked for.

With the burst of green sparks from Aurelia's wand, the game had begun. Bridget shot up into the air alongside the other members, getting a good kickoff from the firm ground. Once in the air, she leaned a bit to the right, maneuvering her Shooting Star in a loop around the Pitch. This way, she could get an idea of who all she was up against and what her opponents seemed to be doing.

Most of the people had already cast their spells at seemingly random targets--although a few members appeared to size their competition up before casting, a few of the flying students shot something at the first person they set eyes on. In the fray was her friend Thora, with what looked like two people aiming for her. Bridget bit her lip, hoping she did not have to witness her only friend fall, but then again, the other brunette was evasive and had fired a Knockback Jinx back, so she probably had it handled.

Now to choose who to target. The small girl was not thrilled at the aspect of hurting others as part of a game, but if Quidditch and dueling had proved anything it was that she had the capability. Her sharp hazel eyes settled on the biggest threat in the game, and in more ways than one. Quinn Healy. Bridget didn't want to be the one to knock him off his broom, but he was the only third year and as such someone that couldn't just be ignored. She had the perfect spell in mind too--she probably wouldn't last longer than him but she could at least give him a time limit.

"Mucus ad Nauseam," she pronounced, moving her wand in the correct tear-drop shape in the direction of the tall ginger.

Jorah mounted the old school broom and kicked off the ground. It felt good to be back in the air. They had to make this quick, soon the sun would be gone and it would be too dark to see anything. He hovered in the air with the other players waiting for Aurelia's signal. Jorah examined his larch wood wand, he was used to holding a beater's bat while flying, his wand felt too light, too small. I miss my bat. Aurelia pointed her wand up into the air, signaling the start of the game by shooting off green sparks which exploded like fireworks.

Jorah sped away from the other the players making a large circle around the playing field. He considered what his strategy should be. I should avoid the conflict as long as possible. By letting the other players finish each-other off, I can swoop in at the end and fight whoever remains. That plan flew right out the window the minute Jorah saw a brunette girl cast a spell at his best friend. New plan, protect Ruthie. Jorah flew back into the fray, pointing his wand at the girl. He waved his wand with the proper movement and shouted, "Tarantallegra!"

Interacting with Erik Tharaldson , OPEN!
Donny had only just mounted his school broom when the game, or chaos rather, shot into action all around him. There were green bolts blasting everywhere, reflecting off his glasses and messing up his vision. It seemed everyone was out to get the little second year named Thora. He swerved around and tried to find a decent patch of air to place himself, and his broom. But there really were no "safe places" you could say, when the object of this game was to knock people off their brooms. He dove deep down, and looked around him, wondering what to do. This wasn't like any class he'd ever taken, and he wasn't even going to try to play quidditch if this was hard. In fact, the real quidditch players probably had an advantage here. He gripped his wand in his pocket, pondering what his action would be-

Expelliarmus!

-He'd not had any time to even pull out his wand when a Slytherin boy sent the spell his way! His wand attempted to slip out of his hand, but luckily enough the cover from his trouser pocket muffled the spell.  This time he pulled his wand out fully, and pushed up into the air on his broom, now looking down on the Slytherin boy. He drew his wand, and without thinking-

Obscuro!

He cast. The blindfolding spell was perfect for this, and at least he could wiggle in enough time to cast another spell while the opponent was temporarily blind. IF-however the spell worked, because Donny didn't stay put to see, flying away to another position, safe at least, from this particular opponent.

The starting signal was given and Neculai took off to the sky! When he was high enough to his liking he turned his Comet 180 back around to observe the field for his opponents. The Training Pitch had turned into a battlefield. Wands had been drawn and spells were flying all over the place. The pale right hand held the Cherry wooden wand in a firm grip. Whilst his blood red eyes were scanning the area for the perfect opportunity.

Waiting on top of his broom, like a predator. Then his patience was being rewarded as an opportunity had provided itself. A girl with dark brown hair, that he had seen before in classes, but never interacted with. Neculai dropped from the sky like an eagle on top of his prey. Whilst midflight his right hand pointed the wand at the unsuspecting victim. A glimmer in his eyes shone ever brighter, was it the thrill of having the upper hand or was it something entirely else? Could it be that his more beast-like traits were getting the upper hand here? No matter, if he hit her with this she wouldn't be able to focus very well anymore.

"Mucus ad Nauseam", Neculai pronounced whilst licking his lips.

[font="Monotype Corsiva"]Well this was a right pickle he suddenly found himself thrust into. What's worse he barely had time to react it was so chaotic once the start of it all began. He may not have been the best at magic but he was very good when it came to observing his surroundings. It was he wasn't surprised when he noticed from everything he could tell at least two of the younger wizards casting a spell at him. He hoped to be able to dodge both but with his track record that was highly unlikely.

Still seeing a smaller girl cast directly at him he would retaliate with his own little joke of a spell. "Let's see if yah goet a sense o humor!" A crude but effective statement. Quickly going over what he wanted to say he oriented himself in her direction flying straight for Bridget Collins. He performed the well practiced wand movements saying the words, "Rictusempra!" Hopefully the spell would come out and hit his intended target correctly. It was all he could do. He refused to go out like the last time in quidditch. He would not falter, not again. He couldn't.

@Erik Tharaldson
Almost as soon as Aurelia cast the spell did Erik cast his at the hufflepuff, Donnovan Perrywinkle. Red light shot towards the boy. The Hufflepuff was quick to notice that the spell was directed at him and with a swift movement of his wand, cast obscuro at the Slytherin. Like his spell, the spell was flawless and a split second later the Slytherinwould find his vision obscured by a strip of cloth wrapped tightly around his eyes.

@Donnovan Perrywinkle
The Hufflepuff was quick to notice a Slytherin aiming a spell at him. Donnovan, with a swift movement of his wand, was able to cast obscuro right before the disarming charm hit his wand was and cause it to catapult somewhere onto the ground.

@Ruthie Greer
Ruthie had picked the closest opponent to her as a target unbeknownst to her was actually someone who had helped her in the disastrous ball. It was to late to withdraw the skillfully cast spell as it shot towards Thora. Thora, in defense, cast the knock back jinx at her attacker’s direction just before a bright array of green sparks dispersed around her. However, the Ruthie was not quick enough and the powerful jinx hit her square in the chest and sent her flying backwards and falling the short distance down to the ground.

@River Dewlight
The dhampir was quick to pick a target. However, her attempts to cast the softening charm had some how went wrong (crit fail) and her wand became the victim of its own spell rather than the half-giant. River would find that her wand had become limp instead of the usual sturdy wood.

@Shauna Start
Shauna cast the curse of the bogies at the Thora who was busy casting flipendo at Ruthie. Surprisingly, Thora swerved away in time to avoid being hit by the spell.

@Thora Larkson
The slytherin was quick notice Ruthie casting a spell at her. The feeling of confusion and perhaps even betrayal might be the cause to why the girl cast the knock back jinx in her direction. The spell would hit poor Ruthie square in the chest and sending her flying backwards. However, Thora was not swift enough to avoid the impending sparks which burst into an array of bright green lights.

@Bridget Collins
Bridget was one of the few who saw the part-giant as a threat and cast the curse of the bogies in the ginger’s direction. But unfortunately for her, the part-giant noticed this and cast a more detrimental spell at her, the tickling hex. Bridget was not lucky enough to avoid this and the spell worked its way into her torso. Most probably the works of karma, the same spell which she used at the giant was cast at her causing her to catch an instant cold.

@Jorah Moussa
The boy waved his wand in attempts to cast the dancing
Feet spell, however, nothing seemed to follow after he cast the incantation and wand movement.

@Neculai Lazar
The second year picked out his victim and cast the spell at the brunette, Bridget Collins. The spell was flawless as it shot from his hand and hit the unsuspecting target.

@Quinn Healy
It was his possibly his size that made the part giant seem like a threat. It wasn’t long before a spell was cast in his general direction. With a snarky comment, Quinn cast the tickling hex at the attacker’s direction while attempting to dodge the one cast at him. The spell barely grazed his shoulder but the effects worked it’s way into the giants’s immune system.
