Elias Weare had never been particularly fond of Halloween. The boy's parents had never liked the idea of him going door to door tacking candy off strangers, and for him, the holiday had always consisted of sitting at home, eating carrots, and other various 'healthy' snacks. Due to this, much unlike his friend Callie, he was not cripplingly addicted to sugar and the sorts. Bounding up the stairs after the two girls, Elias was virtually taking them two at a time in an attempt to catch up. He'd departed slightly late and thus, only just caught up when they reached the top of the stairs. In fact, he was just in time to watch Callie fall right on her face.
"Callie, you're an absolute nightmare!" He exclaimed slightly out of breath watching his housemates near escape from catastrophe before he turned his attention to Valerie, ever since the ball and the realization that she and Callie already knew each other the three had been hanging out slightly more often. "I'm starting to think they might not even be real glasses, Valerie, she clearly can't see even with them on."
Finally drawing his attention away from the girls and to the orrery, Elias was awestruck. It was absolutely beautiful... until Callie plucked Mars from it and crunched it. That poor planet deserved better than that, or he thought it did until he realized it was actually a candy jawbreaker planet. Actually, no, it still deserved better than that. Even as someone who rarely partook in sweets, the young Ravenclaw was well aware that biting a lollipop was a cardinal sin, a crime against humanity, and perhaps even a hate crime. What an awful thing to do. Cringing at Callie's etiquette, Eli attempted to distract himself by placing his attention back on the orrery, scanning as he decided which one of the lollipops he would like to take. Ultimately, he ended up plucking Saturn from the display.
"So... are we ready to go?" He asked eyeing the two, it wasn't like there was much else to do up here other than gather candy.

Callie didn't pay much heed to the general complaints about her own clumsiness as she was far too caught up in the lollipop she'd accquired. "The art of clumsiness my dearest Valerie," Callie eventually responded whilst waving her lollipop stick around dramatically, in the fashion of a Victorian noblewoman waving a fan. "Transcends the mortal confines of my glasses! It's an art form! An art form which I cannot help! Besides, I always trip up on those stairs anyway, it was bound to happen!" Callie stuck the remains of the lollipop stick into the abyss of her pocket. In truth she had no idea what said pocket housed these days other than sweetie wrappers. One of these days she'd find the sense to clear it out but today wasn't one of those days. "You may call it a nightmare Elias but I call it fate!" Callie let out a giggle at her own wild claims, clearly not taking herself or Elias seriously.
"Quit worrying about my teeth! I brush them twice a day you know! Plus I drink a lot of milk so REALLY we should be worrying about your teeth." Callie retorted with a smile and an accusing finger pointed at Valerie. "Maybe you'll become a toothless hag! Oh no!" She let out another laugh and headed for the stairs, for once not looking to go back for seconds. There was simply too much to be done! "Heck yeah we're ready to go! How about the charms classroom? Oooh! Then we'll have to go that ballroom thing! Come on you two we're burning time!" Without another word Callie vanished down the hallway in the pursuit of the charms classroom, going under the assumption that her companions would follow...eventually.

[font=PT Sans]Hana, out of breath and his terribly exhausted face covered by a clever mask, did not have the energy to answer her for a while. Instead, he crouched down to his knees, his fatigue clearly shown despite his lack of facial expression due to the mask. “ Why..hahh… how.. Tower… yare yare ..” he breathed out, finding the energy to stand up again to face his odd companion. And that says a lot from a kid that originally planned to stalk his best friend with only an unnerving paper bag as his only disguise. yare yare = how bothersome
“ How did you get the energy to run up here? I could barely keep up” His chest still heaving from exhaustion, he recalled the exact reason why he hated astronomy. It was not the subject itself, but the pathway he had to take to get to this class. Not to mention astronomy was threatening his bedtime. Why should he spent 30 minutes just climbing up stairs with the stamina he didn’t have and watch some big glowing balls up in the sky. Rubbish, honestly. And he would’ve told so to Adlai if it were not her refusal in accepting his previous bribery.
At least with the bribery, she had no choice but to pay attention to him. Without, it felt like he had to watch what he said if he didn’t want her to slip away. Although, from her cheerfully childlike expression as she took the time to be awed by the astronomy tower’s decoration, he had a feeling she wouldn’ even care or head a word he said. That, or he might get punched. Both results sounded irritating so he decided to make some small talk instead. “ You seem to really like gigantic floating balloons...you have an interest in studying them? I'm assuming their fancy candy wasn't the only thing that bought you here? “ he asked in a gentle tone he had practiced before with Dee. Hopefully, it was good enough.
While he listened to her answer, he briefly glanced at the decorations before landing his eyes on their out-of-this-world looking candy. Decorations were not his thing. Added with the fact that it was astronomy out of all things. But c a n d y ? He had more than a few curious questions towards the process of making those candies, what state would they leave on his tongue if he were to take one, and many more. Perks of being a child of a dad working with confectionery , he supposed.

“The art of clumsiness?” Valerie echoed in a questioning tone, though scoffing dismissively soon thereafter. There was no understanding to that girl. Her critical gaze hadn’t been set on the Ravenclaw herself, but on the brass orrery in front of her. Her palm hovered over the brass sculpture, prior to her selection of the lollipop Europa, modeled to bear resemblance to the smallest of the four moons orbiting Jupiter. There had been no in-depth reasoning for her choice - it all came down to aesthetics, but Val wouldn’t dream of admitting such to anyone who might’ve asked. It sounded too ignorant; too uneducated; too not her.
The retort Callie offered in response to Valerie’s rational caution concerning the lollipop biting reached her ears. Val’s instincts pushed her to respond in as sharp a tone as she could. “It would be easier to believe that you brush your teeth twice a year, Jensen, looking at how yellow they are. I brush mine thrice a day. It doesn’t change the fact that your teeth are going to chip and fall out if you bite into hard candy!” The echoes of her small outburst made Val all too self-aware, a grimace crawling onto her features.
As Callie left for the Charms classroom, Val set the lollipop into her pillowcase. Her Halloween candy couldn’t all be eaten on the spot, and so she’d save it for later. Looking to Elias, Val spoke, her tone notably calmed, “Come on. I can’t go after her by myself, or I’ll have to listen to her mindless freak talk on my own.” In Valerie’s eyes, freakishness was an infectious disease, and Callie was a carrier. If she listened to her for too long at a time, she too would start spewing out pure nonsense at any opportunity.
Not offering Elias room to respond, Val used her free hand to lift her robes up and slowly descend the spiral staircase.

Had Valerie not beat him to it, Elias most likely would have shared a similar sentiment to the one his Slytherin friend expressed about Callie's so-called 'art of clumsiness', it just sounded slightly ridiculous if you asked him. Nonetheless, he'd grown to know that questioning Callie and her rather peculiar ways and actions didn't often lead anywhere but back in circles. It was actually a tad like talking to a wall sometimes with her, especially when she got going on a tangent.
Trying his best to ignore the girls bickering about their teeth, the young Ravenclaw was a tad perplexed by what milk had to do with anything, especially dental health. He was no dentist though, so he supposed he couldn't really be sure there wasn't a correlation. Trying his best to hide the perplexion on his face, Elias finally spoke up, "Why are we talking about our teeth! It's odd! Someone is going to hear us and think we've gone absolutely bonkers, you know?"
Thankfully, the two seemed to listen, and well, moved on from the conversation and the astronomy tower completely! Watching Callie take off, Eli sent Val a nod in response to her final question, he'd expect the girl to do the same for him if it happened to him. Momentarily left alone at the top of the tower, Elias thieving little fingers couldn't help but inch back towards the orrery for a second candy. Nobody was here to see it anyway... what was the worst that could happen?
Plucking a second planet lolly, the boy immediately got his answer. His hair shot up on end and went bright orange. Squinting at his reflection in a nearby window, Elias couldn't help but cringe, but since he was suffering the consequences, the boy may as well keep his second candy. Perhaps he could play this new hairstyle off as some sort of Halloween costume. Anyways, he now needed to get to charms, and once more, catch up to the two girls.

It was quite a flight. From where the Muggle Studies classroom located to the highest tower of the castle. When Cash climbed up to the Astronomy Tower, they like the eerie ambience the tower provided. Floating candles, lights that flickered, thin cobwebs up to the thin smoke decorate the step.
Upon Cash landed their feet on the last landing of the steps, Cash definitely out of breath. It did not matter how many time the second year had been gone to the tower, each and every time going to the tower will be a heck of endurance training for their stamina.
The green eyes then averted their eyes to Starlee and look at the dress the blonde girl wear. "You alright there?"Cash inquired. Star's dress will troubles her but as long as the other girl did not bother by it, Cash is sure Starlee will be fine with her dress.
The string from the red ballon that previously held by the second year, now is tied to the handle of their treat bag. Finally the door of Astronomy tower can be seen. Upon the door there a sign that said 'Please take one' in metallic blue ink. Cash smirk at that.
It seems the professor know some of the student will try to get more than one candy than the student should have. Then Cash spied a brass orrery with ornate feet and metal workings. Upon closer inspection, they see a various of jawbreakers and lollipops in the shape of planets.
Cash look at the huge ball thing and look at the blonde girl. Cash never seen sweet that big, courtesy of how much a Pureblood they are. Perhaps Starlee could explain it to them. It will sure if Cash tried to eat that, they end up choking. "What is that?"Cash pointed out to one of the jawbreakers in the shape of Saturn.
The sweet is huge and Cash wonder how people could eat that thing. "If I eat that thing whole, do I end up chocking?"Cash still can not believe there's a candy that huge existed. While waiting for Starlee's explanation to what kind of sweet is that, Cash then look at other jawbreakers and lollipops that the student can take.
"I can not choose one"Cash said to themselves but loud enough for Starlee to hear it. "They all are so pretty"The green eyes stated. Cash really do want to take all the lollipops in the shape of planets with how pretty they are.
But then Cash know if they took it all, there will be a consequences to pay and Cash did not want that. Upon some deliberation, the green eyes finally put their mind to what candy they will took from the brass orrery. Cash picked up the Earth lollipops. They did not have the heart to eat such a nice candy.
The Earth lollipop designed just like the real Earth suppose to be like. Cash then put the lollipop into their black treat bag. The second year then smile so wide. They are happy that the staff of the school made this event. Cash could not remember when was the last time they celebrate Halloween.
Cash waited for Starlee to pick and grab her choices of candy. The purple hair rocked back and forth on their feet. A rare habit they displayed, since their father dislike when Cash do that. "So,"Cash feel a bit awkward. "Do you celebrate Halloween often before come here?"Cash questioned Starlee.
They wait for Starlee to answer it. After a minute or two, Cash decided to speak up again. "Do you want to check other locations or just go straight to the movie party?"Asked the green eyes.

"I barely ever run out of energy when it comes to astronomy." she awkwardly smiled as Mac caught their breathe. She hadn't meant to make them run but just the idea of going to the astronomy town made her extremely excited. "As for gigantic floating balloons, I already know how those work. It's simple science. I'm more interested in rockets and satellites." She pointed up, as in to the sky, as she said this. She wasn't sure if the everyone at Hogwarts new what rockets, satellites, and other types of space aimed technology was but she tended to talk about them like they already did, a habit of getting ahead of herself, which was something she was working.
"Is there anything you like about astronomy?" She asked hoping that she could find another space fanatic that was as big as her. She couldn't only talk about it with her Dad and Grandfathers for the rest of her life. Her younger sister, Dorothy, wasn't very interested in space but was very interested in human anatomy, much like their Mother. Johana, her second and youngest sibling, still had hope though! If she and her Dad caught her at a good moment they could get her into the all things space related. Though that was a very slim chance sine she was a grandmas girl and would most likely end up inheriting their tea addiction.

[font=PT Sans]While he listened to her explain her enthusiasm, he decided on taking a nice planet lollipop and glanced back to the sign emphasizing on them taking only one candy- expecting the sign to give him a big thumbs up. “ Wow. Didn’t peg you for the type to like that stuff “ he admits. “ But I guess that does explain your enthusiasm “. He wondered how it might’ve felt for her to have a passion like that. He was just here living his life but to smile so brightly at the mention of a certain topic, he couldn’t relate to her that much yet. When he saw how her face brightened up at the mention of astronomy, he couldn’t hold back the guilty smile when she asked about his opinions. At least, that’s an improvement, right? A good thing that he felt kinda bad he couldn’t share the same enthusiasm?
“ I don’t think I can give you the answer you hoped for. “ he said, rather gently - a big difference from his usual tone that even he was surprised at how it sounded. “ I’m..more of an earth guy, actually. Plants, flowers, trees, that stuff calms me down haha. My name literally means-” like someone had struck him with lighting, his short-lived calm demeanor became frantic and nervous. He was so calm that he almost forgot he was under-cover and is currently deceiving his Halloween partner with a false identity. “ eeaannsss..Peperoni!. Sooooo… uh.. As you can see my family had high hopes that I’d be as passionate as them about the art of pizza making. Can’t really go around telling people I like gardening. Can it be our little secret?~” he placed a hushing hand gesture over where his mouth is supposed to be. He was desperately riding on the poor girl’s obliviousness and naivety because that was the silliest lie he ever had to say.
“ Stuff about space, rockets, and satellites was never something I explored before so I can’t say talking or learning about them make me yawn. They just seem something so...big and vast that I don’t know where to start so I ..never did? “ He glazed around the room, once again disappointed at Percival’s absence. While that fact that damned his mood, there was another that felt like it managed to lift him up just slightly. He realized this might’ve been the first time he casually talked about his hobby. And he actually listened to Adlai blabbering about her interest?!? He was led to believe his brain just filters out stuff that wasn’t about him but then what was that? Was there something about his Halloween partner that got him to say that? He didn’t see her as anything special but what else could explain what he did. Puzzled and interested in more answers, he couldn’t stop himself from asking the girl:
“ Maybe...I can hear about them from you? You seem to know more than a thing or two about them?“
He was deeply interested for a few seconds. Eyes covered by a full face mask couldn’t hide his eagerness for approval to his request, which was basically asking her ‘ hey, let’s hang out another time after this ‘. But then he realized that was the complete opposite of what he planned to do with her and internally panicked. He’s been doing that a lot tonight. “ I - er.. I mean. MOVIE! We have that movie, right? Okay, let’s go better not be late or- whatever “ . Red faced covered by his mask, he hastily grabbed her hand without a 2nd thought and continued to blabber on how it was important not to miss movies or the dangerous benefits of missing even a single scene. As if he actually cared. He just wanted a distraction from his multiple slip-ups tonight.

STEALING CANDYHalloween! God, Piérre loved Halloween! It was his favorite time of year, mostly because he was allowed to dress up as anything, as crazy as another monster or as simple as just another person. This year, Piérre had opted to dress as a villain, one of his favorite bad guys in Nintendo’s history. One Mister L. In fact, the costume was the one that Piérre had worn to the Masquerade ball that year.
Of course, on a night of back cats and superstition, Piérre just had to bring along his favorite little kitty: Figaro. Figaro himself was not dressed up... but Piérre was working on it. Mark his words, Piérre would ensure that Figaro would be as comfortable in his costume as he was normally.
Piérre’s plan looked something like this; going after every single location until he had visited them all, raided the candy and the snacks, whatever they had to offer, cause some chaos, eat some candy, and then sleep in a sugar-induced coma for the next day. Halloween only came once per year, after all, and soon, Piérre would be too old for these events. Though he was sad that the day would eventually come, Piérre vowed that he would still be a part of it, even if it was only in the form of dressing up and handing candy out when he was an adult.
Okay, so Astronomy first, eh? Let's see what they're offering... Outside of the office and classroom itself, there was a candy trove already being raided by other people. Nobody would miss a boy and his cat passing by, dipping their hands in the bowl, and then sneaking off before they were noticed. With a grin, and a little wiggling of his fingers, Piérre snatched a large Jupiter lollipop from the bowl with reckless abandon, accidentally spilling some of the candy on the ground. Tucking his treasure into his Jack-O-Lantern bucket, Piérre offered a salute, tipping his green and black hat, and then whispered a tiny; "Ciao." And then took to his heels, the Green Thunder now the scourge of Hogwarts' candy-coated walls.

Starlee couldn't wait to get to their next location. Cash had suggested the Astronomy tower, and while Starlee may not have been so fond of Astronomy, she would trail Cash just about anywhere they went, like a little puppy.
They approached the bottom of the astronomy tower stairs, which appeared to be very decorated. There were small floating candles around, guiding students upward. There was smoke rolling down each step, as well as cobwebs hanging from the ceiling. It was honestly a bit spooky... plus Starlee really couldn't stand spiders... Cash seemed not to care, and headed right on up the stairs. Starlee debated for a moment on whether or not to follow due to the possibility of spiders, but not wanting to be alone pushed her up after Cash, following as quickly as she could. They reached the top of the tower, both very out of breath, and Starlee really wished she hadn't worn heels. Granted, they were small kitten heels, but heels were heels, and her little feet were hurting.
"You alright there?" Cash asked, probably knowing that Starlee was struggling a little. "Yea... just these heels were the wrong shoes to march all over the castle in..." she shrugged a little awkwardly and huffed a little from being so out of breath. She wished she had worn something perhaps a bit more practical, but oh well.
They finally make it to the door of the astronomy tower, where a sign that says 'Please take one.' can be seen. Starlee sees no bowl full of candies, just an orrery on the table. She watched as Cash peered in to get a better look at it, and Starlee realized that they were probably candies... cute little planet shaped jawbreakers! Cash still looked a little confused about it, and asked "What is that? If I eat that thing whole, do I end up choking?" Starlee peered at them some more and took the bright red Mars candy off its spot on the orrery. She holds it up for both of them to look at clearly and says "It's a jawbreaker! A sweet that you suck on and it slowly dissolves in your mouth! Although yea... it can be a bit of a choking hazard..." She says as she puts it in her bag. "Ya just gotta be careful, like with other hard candies!"
Starlee then takes some time to contemplate rather hard if she wants another one, they just look so delectable, but she decides against it. She was a bit of a rule follower and she wasn't about to break that here.
"So, Do you celebrate Halloween often before come here?" Starlee smiled and said, "Oh yea! My mum's a muggle, so she would always have us do stuff like that. My family loves dressing up for things! She can sew too, she actually sewed this dress for me!" She did a little twirl to show it off more. She was super proud of her mom and Starlee really looked up to her.
"Do you want to check other locations or just go straight to the movie party?" Starlee pondered this. Her feet did hurt, so she decided it best to end it here. "Eh, let's just head to the party!" Starlee said.
