May knew that her friend @Ariana Walker was going to refuse her invitation to do makeover and manicure. Of course, May wasn't going to do makeover, for she despised the thought of using maquillage, but again, she had to admit that a little bit of manicure wouldn't do any harm to her delicate nails. She had been pleading her Gryffindor, lioness, close friend, to come with her, but she had been refusing all the time. But of course, nobody could get out of May's dreadful pleading and coaxing, so at last, Ariana Walker accepted. May again, puffing out her chest, went out of the corridors to the courtyard, where the professors @Alaric Equinox and @Hørdis Jensen were, as it seemed, painting their nails. She laughed at the thought of a Damphir painting it's nails, but again, she only did it inside her head, where nobody but herself could hear it. She saw her friend, @Katrina Walker and @Airlia Winter and waved at them. Wel, they would probably not see her, but it was worth doing. She had always wondered if her friend, that she was now pushing to the desk where the Errand was held, was a sibling or family of her second year (also Gryffindor) friend, Katrina Walker. But she didn't want to ask. For now.

She sat father carefully her friend into the chair, and smiled at her. "Now my dear, you will have to endure the manicure and makeover of Mademoiselle Moonstarrr." May said, and giggled at herself. They were going to have such a huge fun time.
She asked her friend what color of nail paint she would want.
Then, she looked at Ariana's very scared and bored face, and she tried to comfort her. "If you don't move everything will be fine. But if you do, you will see the worse of me, and your nails and your own face will be completely ruined and your crush/romance-which I don't know who it is, BUT I will know soon, will think you as a disgusting little bug. Shall we continue then?" May said. Instead of comforting her, it was obvious that it would scare her more. But May was eager to keep going, and May just knew that Ari would be satisfied with her choice.
"Now, I do know that you are really fond of red, so here," she put a bottle of nail polish in front of Ariana with a loud THUMP. "And I, my dear friend, will use this," she picked up another nail polish, this time, dark blue, "Is going to be mine. Capishe?"

Nell didn't know how sure she was about doing this. She never taken any interest in glamour and beauty. She dressed simply, her hair had always been the same, her nails had never been painted, nor had makeup ever been put on her face. But, a friend had convinced her, so she decided to go ahead and take a stab at it. No doubt about it, Nell was nervous about doing this.

She walked up to a somewhat empty table and took a seat shyly. She looked around and saw students of all houses. Gryffindors sat mostly to the left, Slytherins to the right, and Hufflepuffs and Ravenclaws at the center. Nell knew it didn't matter, but she assumed students wanted to stay with their house mates. Nell didn't see many people she recognized, so she sat somewhere random.

Why did she even agree to this in the first place? Nell saw bins of something scattered around the room, so she decided to take a look. Getting up from her spot, she walked towards the first cluster of bins. She peeked inside carefully. There were tons of bottle of nail polish of various different colors. She gently rummaged through the bin until she found a simple color she liked. It was a delicate pale blue that reminded her of a Himalayan Blue Poppy, but lighter. She was quite pleased with her find, so she grabbed in and walked over to the next cluster of bins.

These bins were filled with pencils of many different colors. Nell wasn't quite sure what they were, but then she recalled her mother using one. She couldn't quite tell, but it had been for eyebrows or eyelashes or something. She walked past that cluster, still not quite understanding their exact uses. If she didn't even know what they were, why would she use them?

The next cluster of bins interested her greatly. Nell couldn't quite tell what they were, but she found out soon enough. She opened the round disc and what she thought was dust flew into her face. After waving her hand in front of her face, she looked closer. Some odd colored powder. This looked like something her mother had used too. What was is called...? Blush, that was it. Anyway, it wasn't something she was going to use.

Nell stared at the small glass bottle in her hands. She looked up and headed over to a table. This table was completely empty, which was good. Nell then realized she had no idea whatsoever how to paint nails. She had never done it, nor had she seen anyone do it. Nell assumed it was pretty self explanatory in the end. You get the little brush, and paint your nails with it. This wouldn't be so hard, or so she thought.

Nell placed her left hand out on the table and did her pinky finger first, seeing it was the farthest left. She took a deep and ran the small brush along her nail. The paint got on the edges of her finger as well as her actual nail. It was a disaster already. Maybe she should just give up and find something else to do. No, Nell was going to finish all ten of her fingers no matter how disastrous it looked.

She wiped the edge of her finger with a small napkin that was in front her. Now to the next nail. Wow, this was going to be a long day. She started on the next finger, her ring finger. The brush glided smoothly over the top of her nail, and, to her great surprise, none got on her finger. She was proud of herself indeed, but didn't say anything too soon due to what happened when she did Origami.

She continued along, each finger getting better and better than the last. At last, her right hand was finished with the first coat. Quite happy, she began her right hand. Being right-handed, this side was 10x more difficult than the last. Her motions were shaky and uneven, the paint most definitely going on her fingers this time. She finished her right hand, but it was indeed disastrous. She wondered if she just should have asked for help instead.

She began the second coat when a quite pesky and bothersome mosquito flew towards her. Out of pure instinct, she swatted at it. However, the bloody little thing flew right back at her. She swatted again, and the mosquito was gone, but she had another problem. The small bottle of nail polish had fallen over and was flowing towards the edge of the table.

Nell grabbed another small napkin and tried to stop the flow. There was no hope. Nell couldn't do anything, even as simple as nail painting, without destroying everything. Blame is on her clumsiness, for sure. Eventually, all the paint had been soaked up by the napkin leaving Nell with nothing else. She still needed to do her second coat.

She walked back over to the bins, wondering if there was a duplicate of the same color. She rummaged through as gently as she had before, and to her great surprise and relief, found the color. She smiled and walked back to her seat. Nell had to be careful this time for she doubted there would be three of the same color.

She glided the brush over each and every nail with great care and precision, eager to make this attempt successful. She finished the second coat after some tedious work and cleaned off the edges of her fingers. She was happy with her result, but it was missing something. Something small, but important. It finally came to her as she went grab a pale yellow nail polish bottle.

She grabbed a special tool to help her make what she needed to and began her work. Her design was coming out just as she hoped. Finally, the process, nail painting, that took her a few long hours was done. Her nails were now a pale blue without small pale yellow flowers on the surface. She cleaned up her area carefully and left the courtyard, oh-so-proud of her patient, careful work.

Of all the things the young Quinn thought he would be doing, and being here in the courtyard was not one of them. His precious feline Irene was seated comfortably on his broad shoulders. How she balanced herself so well was a true mystery but she did it flawlessly. The odd color gold and gooseberry green eyes scanning the path in front. Her silvery coat being further illuminated by the sunlight coming through. Ever since that certain incident the feline refused to leave Quinn's side no matter what, and to be honest because of recent events Quinn chose to keep her with him at all times too.

Walking into the courtyard Quinn was around 8 feet now. He had on jeans a goofy looney tunes graphic tee with tweetie bird and sylvester, and his usual black and yellow checkered chuck taylors. His fiery orange hair that had gotten a little long now. Was slicked back and tied into a very short pony tail that barely contained his curls. With heavy steps he walked over to one of the tables with the boxes and mirror arranged on them. Not at all confident that any of the chairs could hold his sheer weight, he got on his knees sitting back on his heels. It was uncomfortable but now he wasn't freakishly tall.

The most notable thing was that Quinn had darker and more freckles than normal. His face was just littered more than usual with the dark noticeable things. This was due to the fact Quinn always wore concealer to partially hide his freckles and make them look well...less noticeable. Yes Quinn was highly self conscious about his freckles. He was afraid of others knowing the fact he used makeup. The big, strong half-giant wears makeup and likes wearing makeup, bad enough he got looks at home. But it wasn't time to do that today. It was time to do something selfish that made him happy so today after hyping himself up for hours with his crafty little silver queen.

Now finally here and blushing lightly he had to block everyone out so he wouldn't get cold feet. His eyes shifted to the two boxes. A clear image of what he wanted to do and in fact something he saw in a magazine once. Picking the less colorful of the boxes, he wasn't mentally ready to try nail polish. He just....just couldn't do it. Absently scratching the purring Irene's head he pulled the box closer to him, carefully grabbing it. He still hadn't noticed anyone else or Alan for that matter stuck in his own little world.

Delicately with his large seemingly clumsy hands he took out each item from the box examining what he had to work with. Varying colors of blush, eye shadow, lip gloss, and pencil eyeliners, along with all of that came the face paint which he was already getting ideas for. This would be messy but if he was remembering the images correctly which he was confident in and imagining things right. Than hopefully things wouldn't turnout too terrible.

First things first, Quinn grabbed his precious feline who began to protest. Kissing her forehead and placing her down on the table where she could clearly see him he pointing his finger at her. "Nae nae nae. Ain't havin none o'that sass you. Ah need ye to be my judge. After all since you're obviously so regal and wise its only fitting that you be the one to judge me." He said in a lighthearted and dramatic fashion. Irene clearly approved sitting up straighter and meowing as if to say 'Well you are right about that.' Her tail began to sway back and forth brushing across the table in a slow lackadaisical manner.

After a full minute of seeing her stay there, he nodded his head satisfied. He would than carefully choose from his colors picking both warm and cool colors for the eyeshadow. He picked out simple jet black face point, a nice color of lip gloss that he felt would compliment his lips and of course the all important eyeliner pencils and other simple necessities. He even picked out some blush he thought might go well. Looking at his work he drew on his very limited knowledge and nervouslylooked into the mirror, pursing his lips. It suddenly became real that Quinn was about to put on makeup in front of a bunch of people. It also became apparent that Quinn would need help with this.

Though at the moment he was too embarrassed to do so. He was beginning to get in his own headspace and psyche himself out until he felt something soft and warm pressing against his shaking hands. It was Irene who was purring rather loudly trying to comfort him dropping her usual sassy demeanor. After another few minutes he finally settled on looking closely in the mirror and visualizing best he could with the colors at his disposal what he wanted. When that was done he started by taking up the reddish-pink eye shadow with the small brush. He had some experience with the brush but because of his massive hands he couldn't see right and was unsure if he was even applying it right.

With stubborn determination he continued onward clearly set on getting what he want accomplished. He wouldn't settle for crappy but he would settle for close, stopping halfway he looked at his work and saw that not only was it very messy he applied way too much to one area. It wouldn't blend well with the others. Sighing frustrated he rummaged through the box and thank god there were makeup wipes. Ever so carefully he opened the small packed fumbling with the wipes trying to get them out with his large fingers. Once doing so he wiped away the eye shadow and looked intently at the mirror to try again.

Quinn really needed help and advice on how to apply this damned bloody make up. He was unused to it but he was committed learning it. "Christ on a stick come on Healy."Looking around sheepishly with desperate and lost his eyes he hoped someone would come to his aid, anyone.

AS the end of the year was approaching Rhea was not looking forward to it. While the other students were looking forward to attending summer camp or going back home, Rhea could only say she felt exactly the opposite. The year had been a good distraction from the horrors of her home life, but as the end loomed before her, she realized that there wasn't much more distraction left before she would have to face her family. Was it even a family? After what had happened, Rhea didn't know what they were anymore.

The entire year she had successfully quelled her fears and sadness by distracting herself with the happenings of the school and that was what she was planning on doing now as well. She had made plans with some of her good friends, Amadea Campbell, Adam Harringtom, and Cecily Quinn to attend the makeover station that had been set up by a few professors. Supposedly it was supposed to help the students relax and not worry about the end of the year coming up, and Rhea knew that this was exactly what she needed. The professors had set up bins filled with makeup and manicure supplies. As Rhea scanned the area she spotted a familiar plume of red hair sitting at one of the far tables. She quickly headed over to her friend.

"Amadea!" she said, smiling at the girl. Rhea's smile faltered as she thought about the lack of human interaction she would be facing in just a few short weeks. Like every other summer, Rhea expected that her parents would make sure to keep her isolated from the world for the few months she wasn't at school. It was horrible, and though she sometimes was able to have a reprieve at the notorious Pureblood dinner parties, Rhea was sure that her mother was not interested in attending any of those; she had to keep some of her dignity and Rhea was sure that there would be plenty of gossip at the parties. She sighed, trying to remind herself that this was a distraction. She shouldn't be worrying about this right now. Pushing the thoughts out of her mind, she plopped down next to the Hufflepuff who looked like she was concentrating on painting her nails. "Sorry I'm late," she said, though it looked like she was still one of the first to arrive from their group. Adam and Cecily were nowhere in sight.

"Oh, I should probably go grab some supplies," Rhea realized, noticing that she had brushed right by the boxes of makeup and nail polish. With a laugh, she stood back up and went over to look at the boxes. There were shades of every color imaginable in nail polish and the makeup bin held many different products. Rhea decided she was going to attempt a fancy eye look with today's makeover. She rummaged through, grabbing the products she needed that matched her skin tone and headed back over to the table where Amadea was seated. She began applying her base layer of makeup, going quickly so she could focus on her eyeshadow. While it possibly could turn out horribly, Rhea decided to go all out with the look. She wanted to make a statement.

She worked in silence for a few minutes before turning back to Amadea, realizing that she should probably speak to her friend. After all, there was no telling how long it would be until she was able to speak to her again. "It's been a while," she noted. "How have you been?" She picked up an eyeshadow brush and dipped it into a shade of blue, looking over at Amadea to hear her response.

When Ileen asked Opeila if she had taken part in the Embroidery Errand, Opeila looked a little confused. There was an Embroidery Errand last month? Wow, she had lived under a stone it seemed. "I have not, sadly. I was really busy with homework, you know, I am happy I found time to help collecting the mandrakes and uh... octopi? I still don't know what the plural is. I need to look it up sometime."
Second thoughts Opeila didn't mind not having taken part in the errand. She had never done Embroidery in her life and she would have probably made a fool out of herself. "Also I don't believe you were that bad..."

Opeila continued to examine the box and only looked back up when Ileen told her she knew how to do hairstyles. "You do? That is so cool! Can you do something with mine? Like, just something simple. Like uh... braids maybe? ", she asked the other girl. Opeila wore her hair open most of the time, only two strands tied back maybe. She simply didn't really have the patients to stand in front of the mirror for a long time for some fancy hairstyle in the morning.

She nodded when Ileen commented on some of her classmates' experience with make up and the way they dressed. "Oh yeah, I have seen that. Sometimes I honestly don't know weither to feel like a kid about myself even more or to find them ridiculous. I mean... That is not normal with twelve, is it? My grandmother would strangle me if she ever saw me running around like that at my age!" Unsure she looked over to the table where Amara sat. She had dyed her hair and seemed to be pretty much done with her make up. Yes, that girl seemed to know how to make herself look like a twenty year old. Opeila admired her talent, but she had seen the girl's lack of judgement on what a good situation was to style herself like that. That made it a little less impressive.

Ileen held a bottle of green nail polish next to Opeila's face, probably comparing it with her eye colour. "Do you think it fits?", Opeila asked.
Her housemate seemed just as unsure about this event as Opeila did, but she didn't mind. She would view it as a game. They could experiment with the products, why did they have to look perfect when they were done. A smile appeard on Opeila's face. "What do you think about improvising? I don't think that talent was a requirement to join this errand, right? Let's just... experiment!"

Alaric smiled and nodded at @Amara Dragamior. Greetings! Please enjoy! He gave the child a peculiar look as she started to use a tiny finger bowl in the off chance to dye her hair. He wondered if the child knew that bleach trying to break through her dark hair was going to turn it orange? And the fact that roots dye so much faster than the rest of your hair, so she was most likely going to end up with yellowish, orangish roots and splotchy orange hair. She didn’t even bother to section it out. Then again, this is what happened when you tried to bleach your hair at 11 with no experience. Thank the gods for magic, right? Because sometimes you needed to learn the hard way.

Greetings! He smiled at @Crystal Jagger, who asked if they could paint on one of their arms, but as it seemed Alaric had a few other people approaching him for his help as well, he smiled over at Nora. Professor Jensen’s perfect skin would make a wonderful canvas for you, I think. He waved to @Ariana Walker in greeting. Hello! His attention was then pulled to one @Alan Vanes, asking him for help. Oh, yes, indeed I do let me show you what I would do. Cap the polish and come on a bit closer. Alaric motioned for Alan to pull up a seat next to him. Assuming the boy did so, Alaric would lay his arm on the table horizontally and then position his body so that he could look at his own hand better. This is the angle you want to try and get, and so you don’t get polish everywhere, make sure you brush the excess polish off as you pull the brush out because a little goes a long way. And I’ll be right here if you have more questions.

He was then approached by someone he did know decently well from the house party. Greetings @Mars T'ien! Please, you can paint them whatever you please. Pull up a seat! Alaric set his right hand on the table for them but kept an eye on Alan as well. I left them unvarnished just in case someone wanted to. You have a lot of canvas to work with here. He chuckled. As other people flowed in and presumably out, he would smile at them and nod in greeting.

Atlas had gotten word of two of her professors setting up a little makeover retreat in the Courtyard for the students to practice their skills and try out new techniques as well as just to relax from a stressful past couple of weeks. Initially hearing the little event had her queasy as she wasn’t one to doll herself up but with her recent panic at the Secret Blossom Ball where she tried to look attractive for her best friend Ethen she eventually persuaded herself to go to hopefully learn a few tricks for the future.

Tightening the laces on her converse, Atlas slowly made her way to the courtyard as she heard crisscrossing chatter as students helped each other with their looks. Oddly her heart started to race as if she was about to be scolded or attacked as she dragged her feet in the soft grass puffing out her cheeks as she mulled through her peers eyeing their progress as she tried to get ideas for what she would do with her own look.

She was relieved to see boxes of makeup set up on each table as she really didn’t have any of her own as she found a free space quickly gliding over to the chair as she sat down in front of a mirror. She had scuffs on her cheek and shoulder from her battles in the dungeon although it was rare to find her not covered in marks as she was always one to dive headfirst into danger regardless of the handful of spells she knew. She was a pro at biting off more than she could chew and yet, as far as she could tell today was going to be quiet and peaceful.

Crossing her eyes, Atlas cocked her head to the right sticking out her tongue as she contorted her face in the mirror entertaining herself for a few moments before exhaling deeply as she stood up from her seat. Leaning across the table, Atlas shuffled through the makeup box as she pulled out a brownish red, a neon orange and a purple eyeshadow. Grabbing out an eyeliner pencil and a dark purple lip gloss. Atlas laid out her goodies in front of her as she pictured a look in her head but had yet to figure out how she was going to execute it.

Turning her head to the left, Atlas watched as some of the students had asked for help from the professors while others were experimenting freely trying out all sorts of bold looks. She would have asked her mother for help with makeup but she never cared about looking good or impressing people until recently and now here she was stuck at a makeup table.

Opening one of the eyeshadow palettes, Atlas pulled out the tiny wand as she pinched it between her fingers rolling it as she stalled fearing that her eyes would look like she was knocked out by the time she had finished.

“Okay just apply the eye shadow. I mean everyone does it so it can’t be hard. Just push this stick into the color and smear it on...yeah that’s all there is to it…” She coaxed herself as she puffed her cheeks, rubbing the eye shadow brush in the neon orange color until the whole tip looked like it was covered in pollen before she smeared it across her right eyelid filling the entire area with bright orange.

Grumbling his way around the grounds, Ethen struggled to keep his mind occupied with anything but thoughts of boredom and a growing hunger. He had spent the early hours trying to exercise only to realize that such strain only intensified his hunger. Why that would be an activity people enjoyed he would never know. But abandoning the pursuit, Ethen found himself suddenly with a complete lack of something to do. Sure he had plenty of school work that he needed to do but the prospect of the seemed like a struggle for another day.

Usually, his weekends were spent causing mischief but he had struggled to locate a partner in crime for the day. His usual accomplice had gone to some makeover fiesta happening in the Courtyard after he relentlessly made fun of her but now he was left meandering through the grounds void of direction or purpose. He then began to wonder how awful the little makeover party could really be. The more he thought about it the more fun it sounded. He pictured all of the crazy ways he could fix himself up to be truly monstrous.

Trotting over to the courtyard, he initially felt awkward waddling into the group of students all busily working at their hair or makeup. Many of them seemed to be really good at the work and he averted his eyes feeling a bit awkward lingering a stare for too long. His own grass-stained jeans and old gray hoodie suddenly seemed a bit drab surrounded by all of the people making themselves beautiful.

His eyes scanned the group trying to find Atlas hoping the familiarity would ease his discomfort. But then he remembered how nervous he felt when the girl was in the pretty dress and he wondered if seeing her with her hair done and elaborate makeup would make him feel a similar sense of discomfort. Gritting his teeth, Ethen spotted the back of a little blonde head and weasled over feeling a bit of nerves as he inched closer to Atlas.

“Um...Hi Atlas,” Ethen said with a sudden bashful affliction claiming his voice. She seemed focused on applying something to her face and Ethen walked to her side to get a look. Immediately, he began chuckling as he saw one of her eyelids was turned completely bright orange. With only one eye done it looked absurd and Ethen understood that Atlas must have come her to just get some crazy warpaint as well. “Oof! I thought you were here making yourself all pretty again, I got spooked. Good to see you were just up to mischief,” Ethen gleamed rubbing his hands together as he looked at all of the unfamiliar tools around.

“I think I will start with this,” Ethen said grabbing a deep red lipstick off the table. With immense focus, Ethen began drawing an intricate design over his face with the lipstick as he peered into a mirror. With so many different things on the table, he would need to make sure he got the craziest concoction of colors.

Alexis put on a plain black jumper with a white knee length circle skirt and put on her black ankle boots. She gave herself a once over once more in the mirror before put her hair up into a ponytail and make her way towards the courtyard. It was an quiet Saturday afternoon for her, she decided not to spend her time coop up in her dormitory and she has heard that Professors had set up an errand for the students who are interested, it was such a perfect timing.

She spotted two professors, “Good afternoon, Professor Jensen, Professor Equinox. It’s a good day isn’t it, professors?” She greeted the professors with a charming smile plastered upon her face. She felt extra cheerful today for an unknown reason.

She noticed boxes on the table. One contained makeup products and the other one contained nail products. Then she noticed the face paint, it peaked her interest. She could have fun with those. Alexis might not know much about manicure but if she was good at anything, it was art.

She settled down in front of a mirror, she peered around at students sitting close to her. She saw a girl with bright orange eyeshadow on one of her eyelids, “That looks cool.” She made gesture at her eye as she spoke. She turned her attention towards the other boy as she was using a deep shade of red lipstick to draw something on his face, “Interesting choice.” she said before realizing they don’t know her yet, she added, “My name is Alexis. You?”

As she was waiting for them to answer, Alexis reached her hand into the box to grab multiple color of face paint and some brushes. She placed the brushes down in front of her to decide which one she she use. More importantly, what was she going to paint.

She decided she was going to need both of her hands, she chose to paint her face. Something simple on her cheeks like a flower or a lot of small flowers across her cheek. She picked up the smallest brush and dip it gently into the red color in the palette. Alexis leaned closer to mirror as she made small dots across her cheeks and her eyelids. She leaned back to observe her work, biting her lips as she debate whether or not it’s enough. She changed to another brush and dip it into different color, white. Then she went back to making the dots on her nose bridge. She giggled a little when she saw herself in the mirror, she looked like she has red and white freckles on her cheeks and eyes.

During they education at school, Cassie already joined some events that held by the school staffs. They already joined the last three previous one. When they emerged, their white hair (the end result of last night bleaching) get blown gently by the air. Despite the warm weather, Cassie still wear their jacket until the arrived at their destination.

When they stepped into the courtyard, they saw some familiar faces. They walk into the table and there is an array of make up kit as well with many colors of nail polish. It seems this is another Professor Jensen idea. Cassie then greets both of Professors. "Good day isn't it, Professors?"Cassie asks both of the professor.

Their Cuban accent seeped out. Cassie then decides to rummage the nail polish bin. As an Ironwoods, people expected them to know a lot about make up, since they always dress for the occasion. Cassie just know the basic knowledge of make up essentials but not so much. After finding the color that they want to use, they grab some nail painting tools.

Holding a box of purple hair coloring, thin nail brush and nail filling kit, they sit down at the available space. After they sit down and laid the base, beige color and black nail polish along side other things that Cassie grab from the table, they flip the hair coloring box and read the instruction. "I hope this will not end up as a disaster"Cassie said to the wind.

They ripped out the lid of the box an take out the coloring tub. Inside the box is provided with plastic gloves. It seems their mom decided to bought them the Muggle kind. When Cassie read the instruction from the back of the box, Cassie sighed. There goes time efficiency. Bleaching their hair for hours is one thing but waiting for the intended hair color like they want is another thing.

Cassie then stand up and grab one of the fingers bowl that have water in it for later use. Cassie then come back to their station, they shed out their outer wear and fold it nicely on the chair next to them, then they start applying the purple liquid cream into their already bleached hair.
